      <description><![CDATA[<p>Sorry if this has been asked before and I have looked but when I render anything in daz studio with iray the log window tells me it&#39;s rendering but the render window is white then will error out. I have rendered scenes like this in the past no problem even tho I use CPU rendering and 16 gigs of ram. It was working a couple of weeks ago just fine but now I can&#39;t even render. I do have win 10 on a 5 to 6 year old computer but when daz studio takes up all the ram and causes windows to close programs to get resources back there is something wrong.</p>

<p>Edit: disregard this as me being stupid and not thinking that the SubD level set at 2 was a good thing but still it should not be having all the problems that i listed tho should it? still going to test tho.</p>

<p>Specs: Intel Xeon with 4 cores, 8 threads, 32 GB memory, Quadro M4000 (8 GB)</p>

<p>Scene: 1080p with 5 G3F/G3M figures, clothes, hairs, Props, Tavern, Background, lights, iray<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I don&#39;t know whether&nbsp;this is the right place to discuss my rendering&nbsp;problem or not, but I&#39;m having a problem with my renders since yesterday. DAZ isn&#39;t rendering the given samples. I have the Max Samples set to 3000,&nbsp;my Max Time to 0 (unlimited), Quality to 2 and Converged Ratio to 98%. The rendering starts normally, but stops&nbsp;at like 700 or less iterations. Before this, it used to go till the samples I&#39;ve set.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>EDIT:</strong>&nbsp;I forgot to tell that this started happening after I used the Scene Optimizer script for one of my renders. But I deleted the script afterwards and it&#39;s still doing this.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m curious if anyone knows of a fix for this extremely annoying issue I experience multiple times on a daily basis. Often, when I have multiple items in my scene I click around in the scene tab to perform various actions (ie. select and item or person, make something not visible or expand the dropdown for the item etc), before I know it, I click on another item to perform an action and the previous item gets moved to the drop down of the new item, as if I clicked an dragged it. It seems to be as if the first item has a secondary highlight on it, so to speak. I don&#39;t really know of another way of describing it. This because extremely annoying when I have an item that has many, many bones that I need to make invisible and while scrolling up and down the list and clicking each one individually (which is another problem all in itself) the highlight jumps down to a seemingly random bone that it just decided to &quot;secondary highlight&quot;. So I have to scroll back to where I was and go from there, which is usually about 3 bones before it happens again. There has got to be some sort of way to correct or disable this &quot;feature&quot;. If this is a feature, it is truly the worst idea the programmers thought of while making this version of the program. It does nothing but slow my work flow down and I need to correct it at this point. I&#39;m sure it&#39;s got some sort of a name or title, but I have no idea what it is, in the decades that I&#39;ve used computers, I have never seen anything like this in my life. It is truly a poorly designed and detrimental feature.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have made morphs of a V4 outfit to fit the Star 2.0 (G2) figure, but when I try to add it to the figure, autofit kicks in and mades it look awful. &nbsp;I have tried just &nbsp;canceling the autofit, but then the outfit doesn&#39;t follow the figure when posing. &nbsp;Parenting it to the chest works for the upper part of&nbsp;the dress, but the lower portion doesn&#39;t really move. &nbsp;What is the best way to make fits for Genisis (1,2 or 3) figures? &nbsp; Do I need to re-rig for G2?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought the HDR ProSets Yosemite Pack Two here on the site. I thought you would use it by simply double-clicking the preset and you&#39;re done, but...</p>

<p>When I double-click the environment prop, the dome appears to load as expected, because in Wire Texture Shaded mode I can see the trees in my viewport. But all Iray renders come out black as if the dome is occluding rather than providing light.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve messed with all the Render Settings. Currently I have it set to render Dome and Scene, Finite Sphere, Draw Dome ON, and Visualize Finite Dome ON. I changed the Environment Map to one of the HDR images in the Yosemite directory under Runtime; and I&#39;ve also tried setting it to None. None of my changes has any apparent affect whatsoever.</p>

<p>How do you make these things work in Iray?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay so this is an odd one, I am having issues with some mats files after I take a break in my work and come back. It will throw this error, but if I close out Daz Studio and open it back up, then try and use the same files, its fine. </p>

<p>It is like something is going to sleep in the content management and then when I come back it is not waking up? I could be totally wrong about that, but that is what it seems like to me. </p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Usually when I open the software, the system optimizes images in my first render attempt, then there is no subsequent optimization in the next renders, it just renders right away when I hit render. Just today suddenly I have this problem where the system is optimizing images for EVERY render attempt, even spot renders, and it gets stuck to just 1 image remaining to be optimized, and this takes 5 minutes. Just what on earth is happening here?!</p>

I need some help about making JCM and MCM correctives for Genesis 3 in DAZ Studio 4.9, because the only existing tutorial&nbsp; is <strong>Creating Joint Controlled Morphs (WIP)</strong> from Documentation, which is outdated long ago and miss some important details. It mentioned the old Property Editor Pane, which is no more in the newer DS versions. I found the<strong> Property Hierarchy</strong> and <strong>Parameters Tab (Edit Mode)</strong> do work instead of this old panel, but the rest of the tutorial seems to be outdated too. In particular, I try to make several JCMs for the transferred Michael 6 body shape (transferred to Genesis 3 Male) and cannot make these JCMs to work along with that body morph and with native Genesis 3 JCMs. As an example, I set Michael 6 Body morph to 100%, bend Left Collar to 50 degrees up and import a slightly enhanced <strong>JCMM6CollarUpL</strong>, according to the first part of that tutorial. What should I do next to turn on this morph automatically when Michael 6 Body is 100%, the bending value is 50 and the native JCM for the left collar is on? After all my attempts to drag the morph slider under appropriate lines in Property Hierarchy lead to nothing so far - I don&#39;t know how to make ERC freeze for all these options in the new <strong>JCMM6CollarUpL </strong>morph. So it doesn not follow the bending collar.&nbsp; Definetely, there is a need in the more detailed step-by-step tutorial for DAZ Studio 4.9. What should I do in the Property Hierarchy to set up all these options for a JCM correctly and how to freeze them before saving a JCM for G3F or G3M?</p>

<p>The same is true about MCM (Morph controller morphs) - is there any significant changes in DS 4.9, in comparison to the old tutorial?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am&nbsp;trying to make a custom character for Micheal 3 specifically Roronoa Zoro from One Piece. I made a Genesis 2 Clone for Michael 3 due to G2M having the hair I needed. I followed the tutorial for cloning V4 for Dawn PDF attached. I followed it all the way up to where it says load morph via Morph Loader Pro. I did so and I see no morph preset in my parameters tab like it said there would be. I checked all drop down menus. I scrolled through and still didn&#39;t see it. Now I learned that DAZ has separated&nbsp;the property editor into two parts for faster loading. So I also checked part two which is the property hierarchy. I scrolled through all the options there and still didn&#39;t find it so I can properly add the morph to my figure.</p>

<p>Not exactly sure what I am doing wrong as I followed all the steps up to that point perfectly.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>In the first pic, the tails are in standard preview mode and are distinctly different from the base texture. I checked that the texture applied was the same as the rest of the body. In the second pic, a test render of the figure shows no textures at all. The surface properties list shows that both the rest of the model&#39;s skin and the tail&#39;s skin have the same numbers and colours as well as texture codes. What&#39;s going on and why?</p>

<p>Also having the same issue with Sachra horns :x &nbsp;They prop appears untextured, and if you apply the mats that come with for iray, it may show up faintly on the model. If it doesn&#39;t, even going into the surfaces tab and making sure things are in place does nothing more than create that faint texture which then renders white. Any work arounds? Any idea why? I&#39;ve dug around a bit but no solutions are forthcoming. Going to try putting basic subsurface on rather than iRay and see if that does something.</p>

<p>Nope, not even basic AoA subsurface shaders change the outcome. Tried the old Genesis supersuit shaders, specifically Armor- Banded Gold. The result is third pic....</p>

<p>I am in dire need of a little help here.&nbsp; Due to a recent software/hardware conflict that renedered my laptop partially useless, I had to completely reset Windows.&nbsp; As I was going though reinstalling my software, I tried using the content manager to reinstall my library.&nbsp; However It had dawned on my that the downloaded content had been erased during the reset yet Install Mnanger still sees the content has having been installed, however Studio only seens the content still in my content manager that is waiting for download/installation.&nbsp; So... yeah, any help would be greatly appriceated with this problem.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I modeled a simple folding screen in Modo Indie 10.2, set it up with polygon and vertex&nbsp;selection sets, made vertex weight maps, and divided my material zones into the two halves of the screen. When I switch back to DS and use the Figure Set-up Panel add my .obj file, I don&#39;t get any vertex groups. I can&#39;t find anything in the Modo documentation about Vertex Groups, so I&#39;m not sure what this might be if it&#39;s not a selection set, material or weight map. I also tried using my material selections to make regions, but those didn&#39;t work for rigging.</p>

<p>What do I need to do in Modo or DS to get my selection sets to show up?&nbsp;</p>

<p>I render in 3DL and use AOA&#39;s Advanced Lights.</p>

<p>In a scene I find that the shadow is too light/weak so I increase it beyond its default limit (100%).While this does produce darker shadows, it also produces &#39;burn&#39; marks on the skin as attached.</p>

<p>What can I do to eliminate these marks / increase shadow darkness without causing these marks?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just manually installed the ESS Euni character (Renderosity) into DAZ Studio 4.9 and when I loaded a character I got an error message as shown in the attached image.</p>

<p>The relevant section of the log file says:</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay. I purchased Stonemason Containment Zone. On the daz screen, the scenes shown for the product looked great. Great lighting for example. So I purchased and downloaded the Containment Zone and placed it in My Library and the only thing I could find under Stonemason for Containment Zone was a 3ddelight scene and and Iray scene and lighting. No preload was found eventhough there was supposed to be a preload. Anyway I loaded the Iray scene and then hit lighting. That scene looked nothing like it was presented in product ordering. No beautiful lighting, nothing. And,I was at a loss trying to find the (alleged) scenes shown by Stonemason. Frustrating. Anyone purchase that item, If you did any suggestions?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does anyone know if it&#39;s possible to pre-pose a dynamic garment before draping? I&#39;ve tried do a zbrush morph and that translated the garment wierdly when applied, I also tried D-formers but the fields don&#39;t seem to see the mesh.</p>

<p>The garments rigs are from M4 era and don&#39;t pose well with the gen3 character once they are fit to it, so I have to do a l ot of manual garment posing to get it to line up roughly with the character pose and it&#39;s just hard to control.</p>

<p>Anyone have a workflow or suggestion? Thanks</p>

<p>Due to constant crashes of my MSI GTX 780 Lightning driver when working with DAZ (when managing scenes - not rendering), I concider wiping my OS. I use Windows7 now. But I have Win10 license also. Should I change to 10? Is it better for DAZ?<br />
<br />
On Win7 I tried all posible solutions of &quot;Video driver stopped responding&quot; issue, but they didn&#39;t work. Is there a chance, that when I switch to Win10, I can work without crashings?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Till now I am really disappointed with Daz Studio (4.9). I think my hadware is not that bad but it seems still not good enough for iray rendering of bigger scenes!!! My actual hardware:</p>

<p>Motherboard: Gigabyte z270x Gaming 7</p>

<p>CPU: i7 7700K</p>

<p>RAM: 32 GB</p>

<p>GPU: 2x GTX 1080 Ti (2x 11 GB VRAM and 2 x 3584 Cuda Cores!!! Is this still too weak?)</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to render a scene with 6 characters (with clothes and few accessories like watch or wristband) in a plane cabin. I&#39;m using this Daz Article <a href="https://www.daz3d.com/jumbo-jet-vip" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/jumbo-jet-vip</a>. I ve deleted everything of the plane but my cabin and the 6 passengers. Only the outline of the plane is visible - everything inside but my scene surrounding I ve deleted. But if I try to render this scene, it jumps on my CPU and don&#39;t want to rennder it with the GPU!!! I know that two GPU&#39;s ain&#39;t summarize the VRAM, that means I still have 11 and not 22 GB VRAM (Great, great Job Daz Studio!!!). But I&#39;ve read that 2GB VRAM can handle 1 character. 4 GB can handle 4 characters. Ok, but even if I have not 22 but rather &quot;only&quot; 11 GB VRAM it should then easily render at least 6 characters in a scene!!! Even 12 should be possible!!! So why it won&#39;t render with my GPU a scene with 6 characters??? Is 11 GB VRAM really still too little for Daz3d???</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am trying to transfer some morphs (some standard and some made in Zbrush)&nbsp;from G3f to a dress so that the dress (that was made for G3f) fits my morphed G3f figure better. I assume I should use Transfer Active Morphs.&nbsp;I have the G3f figure selected in the Scene Tab. However I get an error message saying: &quot;You must selected a figure built using Parametric Joint Parameters, that either has another item &quot;Fit to&quot; it or is &quot;Fit to&quot; another item, inorder to perform this action.&quot;</p>

<p>I assume G3f is&nbsp;built using Parametric Joint Parameters and it is selected. The G3f &nbsp;figure does have another item &quot;Fit to&quot; it, namely the dress.</p>

<p>So, what am I&nbsp;doing wrong?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am trying to light a scene using distant lights. I have noticed that no matter how high I set the lumens, from 1500-15000000, the light stays the same level in the scene. Also, although it is evenly lit mostly everywhere, there is one large area in the scene that is drastically overlit and all whited out. Nothing I do changes this. I have tried everything from adding lots of lights to changing the brightness/intensity values, even deleting all the lights, and it&#39;s still exactly the same.&nbsp;</p>
