      <description><![CDATA[<p>As the title says, I am requesting assistance on rigging a cloth skirt for a product I am working on. &nbsp;The overall thing is a full body cat-suit with integrated skirt. &nbsp;The skirt itself is angled so that its high in front, and low in the back, and is basically loosely styled after a steam-punk-ish skirt. &nbsp;(Essentially mimicing the idea of this:&nbsp;<a href="http://vombavr.deviantart.com/art/Mercenary-528355772" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://vombavr.deviantart.com/art/Mercenary-528355772</a>)&nbsp;</p>

<p>Since this is my first attempt at making a body suit, would anyone have any suggestions for me? &nbsp;I&#39;m planning on breaking it up into four overall pieces, with the upper torso being one, the arms being another, the pants and then the skirt. &nbsp;Various additions would go over the catsuit itself, increasing its armored capabilities. &nbsp;I believe I can figure out the main cat suit itself, but the skirt is going to be an issue for me, mainly due to lack of experience. &nbsp;Below is what I have currently modeled. &nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Everything was working fine yesterday. But today, when the viewport is in iRay mode, moving the camera around is REALLY sluggish. Using a GTX Titan X. I&#39;m using Blend Interactive to Render Settings. Interactive isn&#39;t too bad, but it renders incorrecty (intersections seem to be wrong in certain parts). Also, it&#39;s rendering 5000 iterations in the viewport when it&#39;s an empty scene. It allocated 848MB on the video card for this. Using driver 381.65.</p>

<p>edit: It&#39;s actually sluggish moving the camera around with an empty scene when the viewport is in iRay mode.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I need some help here. I&#39;m trying to install new (well, new to me) morphs for M4; mainly the Creator Creator and eventually the M4 Elite Morphs. I thought I had everything; I kept the DzCreateExPFiles-M4.command file and files like it in situations like this, but nothing&#39;s working. I can&#39;t seem to get the Creature Creator morphs installed.</p>

<p>I think the files I downloaded are missing files or something. The power loader doesn&#39;t seem to be working either. So can I get some assistance, please? ^^;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just installed DAZ Studio on a new Windows VM in Microsoft Azure, running Server 2016. RDP connetion into it works great, however the old problem persists that DAZ Studio cannot be started via RDP (due to OpenGL error message).</p>

<p>So I tought, just like on my setup at home, start DAZ Studio using a VNC connection first... however, despite open ports in the firewall and security group,&nbsp;I can&#39;t get a working VNC connection. I&#39;ve also tried Teamviewer, but that doesn&#39;t seem to work either. I&#39;ve even tried to put a shortcut to DS into the Startup folder, but I get the same OpenGL error as starting it manually.</p>

<p>So my question is: can DAZ Studio be started any other way? Or can the OpenGL error be suppresed somehow?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been asked to do a frizzy hair render like the attached photo. As you already know this isn&#39;t possible with the usual hairs in the store because these hairs are divided into big clumps/groups while the photo shows individual fine strands flying about.</p>

<p>i know LAMH and Garibaldi are capable of this but they take long to learn. Might there be any chance a ready product that allows morphing of the individual strands?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Just getting restarted with Daz after a long hiatus. &nbsp;In 2013 i started playing with Daz because a friend got all excited about the product, what with crashing machines that were unrecoverable and jobs lost, I lost interest. &nbsp;So now Tom(my friend) has developed some Daz skills and I&#39;m willing to try again. &nbsp;Back in 2013 i bought the Victoria 5 Pro pack(for $60) for Daz 4.6.0.18. &nbsp;I still have the download email, and I have the disk I originally installed Dazon including 107 files that i downloaded.. &nbsp;I recently downloaded the most recent version of Daz including genesis 3(etc) 4.9.3.166.</p>

<p>Does it make any sense to try and use some of the files i downloaded 4 years ago? &nbsp;I&#39;m opening the general question about backward compatibility within the Daz product line. &nbsp;I know they are constantly improving the product and features (3 major releases in 4 years). &nbsp;Tom tells me that there are issues about cross compatibility with new actors and some older objects. &nbsp; Suggestions?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Simple enough concept: the separate OBJ geometries in Poser make it simple to modify the geometry of the object without having to recreate the whole object. It seems like this is discouraged by the DUF/DSF concept. I have Forbidden Whisper&#39;s &quot;Gentlemen&#39;s Club&quot; - I want to separate the materials so a wall that includes windows isn&#39;t one material, but &quot;wall&quot; and &quot;windows.&quot; I also want to remove the &#39;lamplight&#39; geometry so I can use geometry that actually looks like a bulb, not a souffle. Is my only choice to export the wall as an OBJ, modify it, then save it as a new prop? And if I want to further modify it, that same process again, instead of just opening geometry, modifying it, and saving the geometry alone?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I recently built a new rendering rig. Here&#39;s a list of parts I used for reference: <a rel="nofollow" href="https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hcKLBP">https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hcKLBP</a> I cannibalized my old hard drive (2TB with Daz Content Library) and SSD (250G? 500G?) from my older system, not sure if that would play a factor in any of this.</p>

<p>Daz opens up just fine. I can navigate around the viewport without any latency issues. In my render settings, both of my GTX 1080s are recognised and on the NVidia control panel, SLI is definitely in effect and its set to max performance. But here&#39;s the thing:</p>

<p>So I opened up some of my more complex scenes with multiple human figures (that would have taken well over 12 hours to render on my old rig with my GTX 760) and attempt to render with Iray. It goes on for a few minutes before my entire computer crashes, forcing it to restart. I opened up Task Manager upon start-up and observed the performance levels of Daz with only two figures in a scene and an HDR Environment Map. Operates&nbsp;below 10% of CPU without rendering. But as soon as I render into a window, CPU climbs up to around 100% and ultimately fluctuates around 98%. I checked temperature readings and everything is safely within the set parameters, and I swear my case is as cold as a fridgerator. I tried deselecting CPU from the Render Settings but then Iray doesn&#39;t render at all, instead giving me a black screen and a &quot;completed&quot; render.<br />

Whenever I do manage to keep a render sustained, it still feels slow. There&#39;s an improvement from my GTX 760, but it&#39;s no where near the speed that I was&nbsp;expecting to get from&nbsp;2x 1080 GTX.<br />

<p>Installed new purchases (characters, props, script, plugin) and now I am no longer capable of using camera controls in viewport. Whether I click the cube or the icons beside it, the camera (predefined views and default) shudders erratically all over. Under the Parameters tab, the default camera controls are&nbsp;functional. What I notice&nbsp;is that when I touch those viewpoint controls, the Z-rotate is the only thing that remains &#39;0&#39; while all -translate and X/Y-rotate fluctuate madly.</p>

<p>Uninstalled all new purchases. No change. I honestly thought it would have been&nbsp;Iray Light Manager Pro or perhaps entering the key for Animate2, but neither were the culprit.</p>

<p>Adding a figure, its viewport&nbsp;tools work fine (such as ActivePose and Universal Tool). Also, the default camera&#39;s viewport tools (using Univeral Tool).</p>

<p>I docked view controls. <strong><em>It takes away the cube</em></strong>, and the rotate/pan/zoom/bank<em><strong> icons are functional</strong></em>, but VERY limited (like, your camera hits a stop-bumper or something). So, with this in mind, I went and reverted back to Cube View Controls and then selected to <strong><em>Hide Camera Cube</em></strong>. The <strong><em>icons still cause the camera to become erratic</em></strong>. No luck with theorizing.</p>

<p>Any suggestions? I&#39;m at a standstill.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>OK I have been playing with the .mdl files from NVidea and have seemed to run into a problem.<br />
I&#39;m having some issues with the nodes. I understand that</p>

<p>C - Color<br />
F - Float<br />
N - Normal<br />
P - Point<br />
V - Vector<br />
S - U coordinate, i.e., horizontal<br />
T - V coordinate, i.e., vertical<br />
<br />
as stated in the documentation. I ahve also figured that V in the User Parametters Brick is essentially an auto add feature.<br />
MT = the output to the MDL Surface Material.<br />
<br />
I am having issues with some additional nodes namelt those labled F2. In most cases these tend to be translate and scale nodes from the custom mdl provided by NVidea but when I attempt to attach them to the user parameter node they do nothing. I get the marquee that would make me assume it can connect, but it doesn&#39;t.<br />

So I am at a loss.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am running Carrara 7.2 Studio Pro. It is running very slow and I had the fonts disappear .I was able to fix the font issue by changing the preferences file.</p>

<p>But, where are the updates??</p>

<p>I downloaded the Download Manager hoping that&#39;s how to get to updates but I IT WON&#39;T INSTALL.&nbsp; It can&#39;t create folders, etc. in the applications folder.</p>

<p>Please help. I am on MacOS 10.11.6</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><span><big>Hi All. </big></span></p>

<p><span><big>I&#39;m trying to learn the priciples of adding Bones and Joints to an existing model. The Video, from 2011 and on the Studio 4 program I&#39;m following, has got me as far as the Poly Group Editor.</big></span></p>

<p><span><big>I&#39;ve looked in the Tools List, and in the Tools Settings, but I can&#39;t seem to find it anywhere. Is this because things have moved on, and it is done completely differently, or has it just got another name now?</big></span></p>

<p><span><big>Or is it staring me in the face and I just can&#39;t see it for looking?</big></span></p>

<p><span><big>Hope someone can help, because I&#39;m stuck at the moment.</big></span></p>
