      <description><![CDATA[<p>Tried searching through Yahoo (google&#39;s blocked here) on the daz site but no dice.</p>

<p>In 3DL it was a simple case of cranking up the ambient channel to get a green-screen effect. &nbsp;E.g. I&#39;d put a green plane (or any other shape with a transmap)&nbsp;against a wall - so I could easily cut it out in postwork and look through the wall to a scene behind. &nbsp;Even a cartoon effect of a man-shaped hole.</p>

<p>Is there a way to acheive the same in Iray? &nbsp;A regular green plane is affected by the lighting (so might be too dark to show up or too varied to cut out). &nbsp;Using an emissive plane will affect the things around it.</p>

<p>Come to think of it - how do they do it in real&nbsp;life for a darker scene? (since Iray lighting is more realistic).</p>

<p>I purchased the old <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/stalker-girl-hair">Stalker Girl hair</a> (originally for Genesis) today, but upon fitting it found I couldn&#39;t locate any bones for adjustment.</p>

<p>I searched the forum, could only find one other person asking this question almost 5 years ago:&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/18591/solved-stalker-girl-hair-how-to-pose-the-tail">https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/18591/solved-stalker-girl-hair-how-to-pose-the-tail</a></p>

<p>None of those nodes/bones shown in <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/uploads/FileUpload/4e/28b8fa84294ad9502a9c25e44adcae.jpg">that person&#39;s image</a>&nbsp;appear on my character HOWEVER I am using the hair on a Gensis 3 character (does this make a difference?)</p>

<p>In any event I find myself totally unable to adjust the tail in any way or by any means. Can anyone help me with what I&#39;m missing or doing wrong?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Edit: It occured to me to try the free pose tool along with a deformer (I&#39;ve only been using Daz a couple weeks, I&#39;mma lil slow!!), though I found the pose tool won&#39;t move the hair, nor will it follow a deformer.</p>

After installation (I&#39;ve downloaded and installed everything through the DIM)&nbsp;I Am trying to open female figure from &quot;Genesis 3 Female&quot;, and got this error message: &quot;Could not open file: People/Genesis 3 Female/Genesis 3 Female.duf File does not exists&quot;.<br />
But, file actually exists, and it&#39;s on right location: &quot;C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 3 Female/Genesis 3 Female.duf&quot;.<br />
Actually, I can&#39;t open any other content from Genesis 3, error the same, but the file name different, for example:&quot;People/Genesis 3 Male/Hair/Armani Hair/Armani Hair.duf File does not exists&quot;.<br />
Please, help me, what should I do to restore this content?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>There&#39;s always a little trade off when you apply Smoothing; such as weird distortions in the place of poke-through. On my current project, I&#39;m forced to crank up my hairline morphs 2.5 - 5 times their normal influence because the Smoothing keeps forcing the hairline into the default curve. I&#39;d like to fix this, before I present the model to Daz. So, <strong>I&#39;m wondering if this is something I can fix in the weight mapping or the rigidity map?</strong></p>

<p>All comments and proferred wisdom is greatly appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Yesterday I noticed that several items are suddenly appearing twice in content. &nbsp;They are the same object (deleting the figures in the file folder affects both figure icons in the content library. &nbsp; It isn&#39;t happening to all icons, and not all figures. It shows up in Categories and Products, but not in directories.&nbsp;There doesn&#39;t seem to be any connection except maybe that I have used them recently, but again, it isn&#39;t happening to all figures I have recently used. &nbsp;Each icon is also categorized differently. It is happening to legacy content as well as Genesis 3F (but not Genesis 3M). &nbsp;&nbsp;I am at a loss as to why this is happening. &nbsp;I can delete one of the icons, which leaves me with one and it doesn&#39;t seem to double again, but I really would like to know why it is happening. &nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Please help. For some reason Growing up for Genesis 3 female is not working corectly anymore. When dailing in the youth morph the gen 3 f breasts deform and some wierd looking ridge forms in the middle of her chest. I know not to use anything but the original G3F body but now that seems to be corrupt. Can I delete the G3F obj and reinstall it perhaps? Please help. Problem started when I used posermatics NPM. It appears one of these morphs became permanent. I deleted it and the data part of it but I still have a damaged G3F</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am a bit confused by Decimator. Instructions are poor.&nbsp; It is okay up to the point of decimating a figure but then what?</p>

<p>I am trying to make a set of people to use in crowd situations and I can decimate okay but when I save those figures as an asset and load them they seem to have lost all the reductions from Decimator.&nbsp; It is asking for a LOD name, okay? But is that a file being saved somewhere and if so where and what do I do with it?</p>

<p>Given the price of the program it seems very inadequately documented and flaky?&nbsp; While it seems to function on the face of things, it does not seem to save what you do in any manner I can see.&nbsp; So what&#39;s the point?</p>

<p><strong>What I want to do is:&nbsp;</strong> <span>Load individual people and make decimated versions and save each as scene subset for later insertion into groups of people.</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I know this was asked but no where have I seen any official or proven solution that works. If this is covered in documentation I have not found it.</p>

<p>I want some figures in the background as small groups of people.&nbsp; I have decimated four figures with clothing etc. and have all four in a scene. No background etc.</p>

<ul>
	<li><strong>I want to export that scene as a single PROP that does <em>not</em> need to be posable etc. just a static group of clothed people.</strong></li>
</ul>

<p>I&#39;ve tried multiple versions of other people&#39;s responses with poor results. Often only one figure is exported and clothing missing.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried exporting to .obj, Tried exporting to cr2, tried saving as PROP but nothing seems to work.</p>

<p><span><strong>DAZ Techs.</strong></span> &nbsp; If you guys <em>ever</em> bother to read this and if this is NOT POSSIBLE please chime in and say so to keep people from tearing hear out over the problem.</p>

<p>If in IS POSSIBLE chime in with the proper method to do this.</p>

<p>In any case please solve this once and for all.</p>

<p>I am going to be building my first computer! It will be specifically designed for iRay rendering and other graphic design projects. I have selected the parts I want to use for the new computer, but before I go out and buy these parts I would like to make sure that it will actually work optimally with iRay. Here are the important parts:</p>

<ul>
	<li><strong>CPU</strong>: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor</li>
	<li><strong>Memory</strong>: 32 GB RAM</li>
	<li><strong>GPU</strong>: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Gaming OC 11G Video Card</li>
</ul>

<p>The whole list of computer parts is attached as an image if you would like to see them.</p>

<p>With this hardware, will I be able to have blazingly fast iRay render times? Are there certain parts that I should replace? Any feedback on the computer&#39;s parts is greatly appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I made this one character for my game, on a Genesis 3 figure, with Lee7 65% body and some other characters morph parts and I find it considerably laggy to pose. I remove clothes, hair, everything and with just the figure it stays laggy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Viewport and Camera view go smootly. It&#39;s just when I try to move the figure, or part of it like an arm that it moves slowly. I don&#39;t understand how a figure can use all my computer ressources like that.</p>

<p>Computer is i7-5820K CPU, 48GB RAM, 2X980ti GPU.</p>

<p>Can anyone help me out?</p>

In my windows Uninstaller the program is not listed. under C:/ProgramFiles(x86)/DAZ3D/DAZ3DIM1/Uninstallers there is an application &#39;Remove-DAZ3DIM1_Win32&#39;. I tried to run it, but I got the message &quot;This app can&#39;t run on your PC: To find a version for your PC, check with the softwre publisher.&quot;</p>

<p>Has anyone encountered this problem before, or is there anyone who can help me with it?</p>

<p>I&#39;m just double checking something here.&nbsp; I need to clear up some hard drive space, and the Public/Daz3d/InstallManger/Downloads folder has a lot of files.&nbsp; I want to relocate these onto another drive for backup purposes.</p>

<p>Will Daz&#39;s Install Manager notice or care if I relocate the .zip files to another drive, while leaving the .dsx files behind?&nbsp; (The .dsx files are tiny/1kb ea, hence I have no reason necessarily to move those).&nbsp; I&#39;m guessing that the .dsx files show what has been downloaded/unzipped so far?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay &ndash; admittedly I&#39;m just catching on here. But I question that I have tried to resolve and haven&#39;t found an answer to.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using G3 female with some morphs appled. Downloaded a clothing item from Daz &ndash; strap&nbsp;around the leg to hold a holster &ndash; but wanted to add two instances, one on right and one on left leg. It only attaches to the Right Thigh. Have duplicated it and tried to reverse the second instance to fit to the left leg, but can&#39;t seem to reconform it to the Left Thigh. I changed parent of the second instance to Left Thigh, but it&#39;s been impossible flipping it and chaning it to fit/morph correctly to the Left Thigh perfectly.</p>

<p>Any advice?</p>

I am using a scene that I have created in DAZ in Unity for a game.</p>

<p>All is working well - except for exporting the camera out of DAZ via FBX.<br />
The camera does not import as a camera into Unity, and all I get are the transformation values for that camera.<br />
And while the positional data is good, the rotations are all mest up and so the view of the Unity camera does not<br />
match that of the camera in DAZ.</p>

<p>It appears that cameras can be exported via FBX, but that doesn&#39;t seem to work from DAZ into Unity for some reason.<br />
So, other than eyeballing the camera view in Unity - is there a way to get all of the DAZ camera data into Unity?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just started getting back into using 3Delight to render in DS4.7 (been using Reality specifically) and I have a weird issue. When I apply the subsurface base shader to my V4 character everything is good, except the fingernails and toenails. For some reason they turn black. All of the skin (fingernails included) are using the same settings and are in the same group. I did a Google search and saw mention of adjusting shading rate, but that didn&#39;t seem to work, only created that pixelated, moire pattern. Has anyone else experienced this?</p>

<p>I&#39;m fairly new to Daz and am experiencing some issues:</p>

<p>A few months ago I purchased the futalicious&nbsp;genitalia bundle. It was working fine back then - I installed it by unpackaging it into my daz3D library and all was good. Had a break from Daz as no longer had time but now just getting back into it. And that particular morph no longer works. I get the following error message when I try to load it:</p>

<p>&quot;an error occurred while reading the file, see the log file for more details.&quot;</p>

<p>Also, I no longer have a preview thumbnail of the morph in my content library - just an exclamation mark on everything inside that folder.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I seem to have a problem that occurs on quite a few occasions, usually after I&#39;ve added more things to the scene. &nbsp;I was able to render it OK but it makes it ackward to change anything around as I can&#39;t see a lot of the scene anymore.</p>

<p>Does anyone have an idea what causes this? &nbsp;I think it&#39;s mainly when I use Mika 7, if I recall correctly.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I want to know if its possible to export only the external, showing parts of a figure as a mesh obj.</p>

<p>When I import my models into Cinema 4D, polygons from things like the back of the eyeballs and inside of the mouth are still visible inside of the head. Is there any kind of way to only select all of the polygons that are visible from the outside and merge them into 1 mesh? Or just delete any polygons that aren&#39;t visible from the outside?</p>

<p>If that makes no damn sense, I can take pictures and explain more ;)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am getting great results with IRAY and enjoying learning Dax after years of using Poser.</p>

<p>I am looking for a little advice / help understanding the results fo difusse colors on G3F characters.&nbsp; In the picture, you can see the material for the lips I have applied and the difference in difuse color int the render.&nbsp; The G3F materials look &quot;muted&quot; or washed out a bit.&nbsp;YEs the color is not bra straps is vibrant.</p>

<p>I am using &quot;Intesity Lights&quot; Set 01 and my environmentals are Environmental Intensity1.0, Environmental Map 2.0, and Environmental Lighting Resolution 512.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any advice?&nbsp; Could it be a setting in the Tone Mapping? (I have not changed any defaults there).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any help is greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>I load &quot;OZBD Poppie for Aiko 7&quot; into my Scene, do not any morphs or other stuff and get this ugly line between torso and arms!<br />
Checked the surfaces, all options on torso and arms are the same and both a iray uber shaders.</p>

<p>Is there anything I dont know or do wrong?<br />
Maybe someone can help me...</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a piece of clothing that I added a deformer to, and everything worked fine. Then for a different scene I needed to add a 2nd dformer to the same piece of clothing and when I tried to &quot;add Map&quot; under the influence weights, Daz Studio immediately crashed. Am I using Dformers wrong? Am I only supposed to use one Dformer per item?</p>

<p>I was following this tutorial and it worked great for one dformer, but can&#39;t seem to add a 2nd without crashing.</p>

<p>suddenly, the spotlights aren&#39;t working anymore in iRay. Render setting is &quot;Scene Only&quot;.<br />
Even the emitter (&quot;Render Emitter&quot; = ON&quot;) don&#39;t show the emitter area, if I set to sphere with diameter = 50 to make it visible.<br />
The corresponding Display options are all set to &quot;ON&quot;. Even &quot;Sigle Sided&quot; / &quot;Double Sided&quot; doesn&#39;t matter.</p>

<p>And - the Auto Head Lamp (&quot;When no Scene Lights&quot;) don&#39;t work neighter.</p>

<p>HDRI Sky and Sun Sky work without problems.<br />
Render Mode: CPU-only.</p>
