      <description><![CDATA[<p>When using sun-sky environment the date and time is always reset to a default of March and 6PM.&nbsp; Where do I adjust that to a different default setting so I don&#39;t have to keep changing it?&nbsp; I would like to set to my coordinates and a preferred date and time. ( I can change later as needed)</p>

<p>Also how do I set Render Ground to always default to <strong>OFF</strong> instead of ON?</p>

<p>I would like to rotate the neck of my G2F model very much (to an unnatural extent).</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to create a zombie that has his head on his breast in order make it look like it&#39;s broken.</p>

<p>However, at a certain angle, the rotation wouldn&#39;t allow me to go any further.</p>

<p>The rotation circle becomes red.</p>

<p>Is there any way to realize my extreme rotation anyways?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there, i have encountered a problem with two hair styles - namely Bluebird3ds Ashley Hair and 3D Universes Fantasy Hair. I got both in sales recently and now wanted to try them out, but they do not render properly with iRay and the &quot;Dome and Scene&quot; mode. The first iray iteration seems ok but then they become more and more white-ish and shapeless. Using &quot;Sun-Sky only&quot; they seem fine. The first picture shows Ashley Hair on V7 with SunSky and DaS, and the other one Fantasy Hair on Brenna with black (!) iRay materials applied.</p>

<p>Other hair styles do not cause this problem for me. I tried resetting the render options, re-installing both the Hair products and DAZ3D itself, to no avail.</p>

<p>Does anyone have an idea to what is the cause of this?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m due a pc upgrade and just weighing the pros and cons of going all out full steam on an i7-7700k kabylake machine or instead building a Ryzen based machine. I know the i7 is the better choice for gaming (for which I do a lot of) but I also do a lot of work in daz and was wondering what it would prefer if the machine was built just for it? The i7 is 4 cores at a high clock speed, The ryzen would be 8 cores at a slightly lower clock speed. I&#39;m thinking about a) general use in the IDE, navigating complex scenes, etc and b) affect on render times.</p>

<p>I use a gtx 1080 FTR and do most of my rendering in iRay :)</p>

<p>That main problem I&#39;m having is the shape of the face. It never works like I hope it would and always seems to enlarged the face to sickly distorted proportions if you go to 100%!!</p>

<p>I&#39;ve had marginal success by making multiple sliders form different photos and &quot;Trying to find the middle&quot;.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve fiddel around with setting trying to see if anything helps but can&#39;t see any noticable improvement.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>On some of my characters, I&#39;ve created. I&#39;ve noticed a weird error. When that character is loaded in a scene or even just into the environment. No matter where I select, even just empty space. It always pops up on her Right shin. Even If I&#39;m selecting empty space. She then becomes buried underneath a sea of blue transparent triangles. Then it just says right shin.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Anybody heard of anything like that? It&#39;s driving me nuts not being able to select body parts without having to go to the Scene tab to select a part.</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated.</p>

<p>I have been using Daz 4.9 for months without any issues, but in the past week it has been causing a physical Memory Crash Dump. I&#39;ve already run a complete system diagnostics as well as a memory diagnostics and the results were no issues with either the OS or the memory. Anyone have a similar issue? I am only running 6GB of memory and was planing to max my PC out to 16GB. Don&#39;t know if this would help. Thanks for any guideance you can give.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Haven&#39;t loaded Daz for about 8 months but today needed to get back into it, except on startup I find this complex error message&nbsp;(see pic attached)...</p>

<p>I close the message but find nothing in the Smart Content tab or the Install tab, although&nbsp;the Content Library tab is working and loading files, but still giving messages of parts missing.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve updated Daz in the Install Manager but that hasn&#39;t fixed it.</p>

<p>Can anybody help please?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Not totally true, it&#39;s rather a large pain.&nbsp; The documentation and YouTube videos show there&#39;s supposed to be a separate pane for Measure Metrics, but all I get when I click on the poses or wearables icons and apply them to my figures is a change of the figure&#39;s pose and a lot of the XYZ icons that indicate the followers.&nbsp; No pane indicating measurements appears, it isn&#39;t available under Windows&gt;Panes or if I right-click to add a pane.&nbsp; I installed it through Install Manager first and got this result, then I updated the metadata through Daz Connect.&nbsp; Still this result.&nbsp; It shows as installed through DIM and through Connect, and I&#39;m assuming all the files are present.&nbsp; This is on Windows 10 and DS 4.9.&nbsp; The docs provided are useless in troubleshooting, so I&#39;m hoping someone else has found a solution for this.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue that I am or if there&#39;s some setting I&#39;ve overlooked...I updated to 4.9.2.0 Pro 64bit this morning and I&#39;m having a new odd issue where if I have both the left and right panels of the workspace open, the large central viewport area doesn&#39;t resize itself correctly so the view controls, etc become hidden under the right-hand panel. If I collapse either of the side panels it&#39;s fine, but not if both are open. (File attached showing the issue)</p>

<p>That&#39;s a major change from the previous workspace (and makes it extremely tedious to navigate now) and seems to occur no matter what style I select (normally I use Darkside). Is there some setting that controls that behaviour that I&#39;ve somehow overlooked?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there. I&#39;m trying to create a looping aniBlock from a short 15-20 frame animation keyframed loop. When I create the aniBlock from Studio keyframes, the aniBlock always seems to extend to 1 second long, with a bunch of empty frames at the end. My frame range and frame count across all panes seem correct. Is there something I&#39;m doing wrong here? Thanks for the help.<br />

<p>I&#39;ve got a bug issue since many weeks now.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For my render, I use GPU only, and I have 2 GTX&nbsp;980 &nbsp;Ti 6 Go. Sometimes, when i try a render, it&#39;s the GPU or the CPU whose working ( I read all the post about this, and the fact than dependeing of the size of the scene, CPU replace the GPU). I don&#39;t know how to know the size of my scene, but recently, I had the probleme with small scene (only 2 character and a set. Sometime the render start with the GPU, and sometime with the CPU ... don&#39;t ask me why.</p>

<p>But this morning, I launch a render with only one character, clothing and an HDR, and.... the render was launch on the CPU....</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I apologize right off since this has been covered countless times, but I cant seem to find a surefire answer. I buy alot of content from Renderosity and the content comes in a .zip format. I want to unzip the folder and unload it in another location rather than Daz3d&#39;s default location on my C drive, I dont have much space left. I have a folder on an empty drive labled &quot;My Daz3D Content&quot;. When I unzip the zipped folder I have a folder called &quot;content&quot; and tow other files labled &quot;Manifest&quot; and &quot;Supplement&quot;.</p>

<p>Am I just placing the &quot;content&quot; folder into my &quot;My Daz3D Content&quot; folder for a manual install or do I need to take the multiple files inside of the &quot;content&quot; folder and put them somewhere else? And then what else after that? Direct Daz3d program to look for my custom new location?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Can&#39;t download purchases or reload some previous ones. Some purchased items do not load or appear after Database maintenance and a new bundle item will not show up in the Download manager or the intall tab inside of DAZ Studio.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Tried searching through Yahoo (google&#39;s blocked here) on the daz site but no dice.</p>

<p>In 3DL it was a simple case of cranking up the ambient channel to get a green-screen effect. &nbsp;E.g. I&#39;d put a green plane (or any other shape with a transmap)&nbsp;against a wall - so I could easily cut it out in postwork and look through the wall to a scene behind. &nbsp;Even a cartoon effect of a man-shaped hole.</p>

<p>Is there a way to acheive the same in Iray? &nbsp;A regular green plane is affected by the lighting (so might be too dark to show up or too varied to cut out). &nbsp;Using an emissive plane will affect the things around it.</p>

<p>Come to think of it - how do they do it in real&nbsp;life for a darker scene? (since Iray lighting is more realistic).</p>

<p>I purchased the old <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/stalker-girl-hair">Stalker Girl hair</a> (originally for Genesis) today, but upon fitting it found I couldn&#39;t locate any bones for adjustment.</p>

<p>I searched the forum, could only find one other person asking this question almost 5 years ago:&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/18591/solved-stalker-girl-hair-how-to-pose-the-tail">https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/18591/solved-stalker-girl-hair-how-to-pose-the-tail</a></p>

<p>None of those nodes/bones shown in <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/uploads/FileUpload/4e/28b8fa84294ad9502a9c25e44adcae.jpg">that person&#39;s image</a>&nbsp;appear on my character HOWEVER I am using the hair on a Gensis 3 character (does this make a difference?)</p>

<p>In any event I find myself totally unable to adjust the tail in any way or by any means. Can anyone help me with what I&#39;m missing or doing wrong?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Edit: It occured to me to try the free pose tool along with a deformer (I&#39;ve only been using Daz a couple weeks, I&#39;mma lil slow!!), though I found the pose tool won&#39;t move the hair, nor will it follow a deformer.</p>

After installation (I&#39;ve downloaded and installed everything through the DIM)&nbsp;I Am trying to open female figure from &quot;Genesis 3 Female&quot;, and got this error message: &quot;Could not open file: People/Genesis 3 Female/Genesis 3 Female.duf File does not exists&quot;.<br />
But, file actually exists, and it&#39;s on right location: &quot;C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 3 Female/Genesis 3 Female.duf&quot;.<br />
Actually, I can&#39;t open any other content from Genesis 3, error the same, but the file name different, for example:&quot;People/Genesis 3 Male/Hair/Armani Hair/Armani Hair.duf File does not exists&quot;.<br />
Please, help me, what should I do to restore this content?</p>
