      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi. I&#39;m working on a walking animation and I used the PinMeDown tool to correct the foot slip. I have achieved a good result but the problem is that when I create an Aniblock with the animation all the work of PinMedown disappears. I have the walking animation but no PinMeDown fixes. Someone knows what this is? How can I solve it to create an Aniblock with PinMeDown work?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I have&nbsp;Rock Shader for DAZ Studio but I can&#39;t get a basic rock to render. I&#39;ve reset everything to default. Here&#39;s what I&#39;m doing:</p>

<p>-Create new primitve, edit, object, geometery, convert to sub-d<br />
-Select the object, go to surfaces tab, select the object&nbsp;<br />
-Select Rockshader in content, choose !rock shader base. (I can see the color of the frame change slightly)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>...I&#39;ve been runnign the 4.9.166 beta alongside 4.8 for a while and notice it has no adjustment sliders for shadow attributes whne using photometric lights as there is in 4.8.&nbsp; Is this just an unfortunate omission in the Beta, caused by some sort of glitch in the install, or a permanent change to the programme?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am sure there must be a good reason, but I seem to have a lot of occasions when I can&#39;t make the parameters like x, y, and z rotate operate in the normal way. The character (usually) rotates around a completely illogical focus and often two of the rotational aspects are almost the same. &nbsp;So to tun a character in this suituation through 90 degrees, while staying &#39;on the ground&#39; can be nigh on impossible. Today, for example, I ended up moving the environemnt to match the recalcitrant figure(s). Is there a switch or button that sets the parameters to &#39;world&#39; form, please?</p>

<p>I am using both for a series of renders for a story&nbsp;but the color options for Updo don&#39;t match the Jerry Hair close enough. I tried through the surfaces tab to use the Jerry Hair color jpg on the updo hair but that didnt seem to work. I see there are some hair shader products, but thought perhaps there was a ninja trick... I am trying to match the updo hair to Jerry Hair MDL Color 07.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have submitted a help ticket but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. &nbsp;I have a 980Ti card with 6 GB of video memory. &nbsp;When I attempt to render a scene with two Genesis3 figures and one&nbsp;or two pieces of clothing (in DazStudio 4.8), the render crashes and produces an error message -- something along the lines of &quot;violation_exception at memory address XXXXXXXX&quot;. &nbsp;From the log report everything seems to load okay, but before it actually renders an image&nbsp;it crashes.</p>

<p>If I hide one figure or one piece of clothing, the scene renders just fine. &nbsp;So I am thinking that somehow I&#39;m exceeding my video memory size. &nbsp;Would this cause a crash? &nbsp;If this is true then how can a&nbsp;couple dozen 4 MB texture&nbsp;maps fill&nbsp;up 6GB video RAM. &nbsp;Any suggestions?</p>

<p>I have my rendering preference set for my video card. &nbsp;I do have 32 GB of RAM on my motherboard but haven&#39;t tried to use my CPU (i7 - 6 cores) for&nbsp;rendering.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m at my wit&#39;s end with one machine that keeps crashing when rendering. Sometimes it renders and I save then crashes. I can live with that. But other times it spends an hour rendering then crashes before I can save the output.&nbsp; It is always an Nvidia driver causing the fault.</p>

<p>I posted on the Nvidia support forum a month ago and not a single response so I guess their forum is useless.</p>

<p>If someone here has a clue I will post the APPCRASH details. I cannot make any sense of those myself.</p>

<p>If no one replies or has an idea I&#39;m not going to waste time posting a lot of extended info here.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve managed to corrupt the way Daz handles the mesh on G2F which is now my most used figure. &nbsp;I was trying to create a morph and somehow managed to over-write the base shape that G2F loads with. &nbsp;I have by zero-ing the figure and saving in a number of ways managed to get it to load the default shape again - however checking the parameters the morphs dials are still set to the figure I was trying to create. &nbsp;Everytime I now try and apply a morph the face &quot;collapses&quot; - the eye region moves forward a by 1 or 2 on the Z axis, the eyelids become arched, pupils mis-shape and the lacrimals distort. &nbsp;The lips also mishape and become dis-jointed from the chin region and over-lap+poke through. But it also loads it as a scene, over-writing the camera and backdrop settings rather than loading a figure on it&#39;s own.&nbsp; No other figures are effected, so I&#39;ve obviously just corrupted the figure not the program and this is pretty impressive user error.</p>

<p>I have tried the following steps to resolve this but have been unsuccessful so far - any suggestions? - (I am guessing that it is corruption in the data folder somewhere but lack of experience in that foler and the size of it leaves my a bit stumped as I can&#39;t identify which folder needs deleting/removing):</p>

<p>1. &nbsp;Removed the Genesis 2 Female folders that I have identified from the data folders in the&nbsp;Connect library, the Daz3D library and as DS had created a data folder under my own subfolder from where I had created some new models and been telling it to save to from there too.</p>

<p>2. Also removed the G2F data folders from and folders in these named as DAZ3D, DAZ or DAZ 3D ...</p>

<p>Those steps have improved it slightly but not fixed it (I moved the folders outside of the DS tree incase they needed putting back, nothing has been deleted yet unless it was labelled as the morph I tried to create). &nbsp;However all of the morphs I&#39;d&nbsp;previously created still exist in the Morphs root parameter folder of the figure so I&#39;m missing something somewhere .... &nbsp;One other factor here is that the previous morphs were all done by importing from V4 or&nbsp;G1 to G2F ... this new one was trying to create a G2F shape to a G2F morph so was done differently to all the others.</p>

<p>3. Reinstalled all the Genesis 2 Female packages and Victoria 6 packages ... this has made no difference.</p>

<p>There is one other minor user-created complication ... I can&#39;t at present uninstall the figure ... As I never thought I&#39;d be removing it I installed it without letting Windows create an uninstaller to keep the Windows registry smaller (although running the install again would obviously create this - but I&#39;m guessing that as I told it to over-write the existing files and the corruption remains, it is something that is feeding in to it rather than the figure itself). &nbsp;So where does DS store these settings so that I can delete that folder (or files in it) to stop it? &nbsp;If I have to uninstall and re-install the figure, what happens to the plug-ins such as Shape? Will they need re-installing or will&nbsp;DAZ simply pick them up from their own data folders?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Recently swapped out to a whole new PC.&nbsp; Windows 10 with the latest version of Daz.&nbsp; All old content and old saved scenes are showing up in the Content Library ... neither in the default unassigned nor, default saved files.&nbsp; However, any newly saved scenes or presets are not showing up.&nbsp; The saved location is a mapped directory.&nbsp; The files are saved and can be re-loaded but even after a &#39;Scan known directories for files&#39; with the saved location listed... nothing.&nbsp; It&#39;s like Daz isn&#39;t recognizing it&#39;s own files that it just saved.&nbsp; I&#39;ve seen discussions about port issues but don&#39;t know if they apply here as I&#39;ve tried accessing the drive (external hdd) from two different usb devices (one usb2 and another usb3).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any thoughts?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Can someone please educate me? I recently bought Dreamlight Ultimate Skies Hi Rez Backgrounds Pt1 and Pt2. I wanted to use these backgrounds today but do you think I can find them? Nope! I know they&#39;re in there somewhere, I can see the titles in content library, I can navigate to where they are stored on my PC and see all the little pictures of skies but finding them in DS to use has got me beat. <p>So, the question is: how I can get scale dials (scale x, scale y and scale z) for each bodypart in Genesis 3 figures? For example we have torso length dial which can elongate the whole torso. But what if I would like to elongate only the waist without elongate the chest and hip? In the old V4 and M4 figures we had scale dials or each and every bodypart so we could change their ratios as our wish...</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I picked up the SS Marcoor Med Bay when it was recently on sale and decided to use it today for the first time in a scene.&nbsp; When I tired to open it in the render window I recieved a warning box that said &quot;Some assets needed to load the file were missing.&nbsp; The content may not work as expected.&nbsp; The following flies could not be found&quot; the it listed the following files.&nbsp; I installed it through install manager. so I don&#39;t know if it is a bad download or not.&nbsp; Here is a list of the missing files.&nbsp; Any suggestions?&nbsp; I will also send a ticket</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am working on a product which is a prop/vehicle. I am trying to finish it off for Smart Content but found there was no listing for Prop/Vehicles in the DB editor, everything else but for Vehicles it would seem. So I manually inserted the path and it works on one computer but when I transfer the files (with the support folder and&nbsp;files before anyone asks) to another computer it puts it in the top level folder &quot;Props&quot; but not the one I specified &quot;Vehicles&quot;. I re-imported the meta data on the second computer to no avail. Can someone tell me how to get this working properly? Much appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a model of angel wings, sometimes referred to as &quot;Articulate Prop&quot;, that I&#39;m looking to use for the first time in a couple-three years. &nbsp;When I load the CR2 all I get are the faint traces of the 8 corners of a rectangle. So I found the down load for it on the net, downloaded and replaced the one I already had. Same results. So then,I applied a texture file to the wings, but that didn&#39;t work; the model is still not visible. Next I checked the &quot;Opacity&quot; value in the Surfaces tab. No luck. Finally set the draw style option to &quot;Solid Bounding Box&quot; which shows the model as plain grey boxy parts, but they do not accept textures either. &nbsp;I&#39;m using v. 4.9.2.70</p>

<p>I have a gut feeling that the issue lies somewhere in the CR2 file, but I have no idea where to look for it. Any thoughts?&nbsp;<img alt="sad" src="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/sad_smile.png" title="sad" /></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, my question is: Can I purchase Daz Studio models/characters (i.e.: Genesis 3 characters) and use them exclusively in Poser WITHOUT having to install Daz Studio. I have a limited amount of HD space, and see no use in having another program that essentially does what Poser does, just not as intuitively. Thanks for any feedback.</p>

<p>Wet Face Fail. OK, I created a Geoshell &amp; turned off all the shell portions except the face &amp; lips, added the UeberiRay Water Shader, added a Surfaces Cutout Opacity water droplet mask&nbsp;and adjusted the surfaces perameters as outline in this tutorial</p>

<p>and 10 hours later she looks like the tinman after being oiled.</p>
