      <description><![CDATA[<p>I found the base for Victoria 4.2 loads from the content library under the poser formats but it seems like it&#39;s a 1 or the other situation after I install Michael 4. If I install Michael 4 first, he will load and work just fine as well as content but this changes if&nbsp;I install Victoria 4.2 afterward. He seems to fall into a black hole and become nothing more than a &quot;does not exist&quot; error message. What&#39;s happening and how do I fix this? Ideally, I&#39;d like both model bases and all products to be installed and loading. I&#39;ve been around forums and haven&#39;t had much help. Do I need to manually move certain items after they&#39;re installed with install manager? Do I need to have the base&#39;s installed to a different path than everything else? If so, what and to where? The only thing somewhat helpful I&#39;ve come across are instructions to manually download and install the 3 .exe&nbsp;files for the models first, but the .exe&nbsp;files suggested aren&#39;t what&#39;s coming in the .zip downloads of the product from the site... so I&#39;m not sure where the people who suggested this are getting these magical files or what god&#39;s they&#39;ve appeased to do so... please help. I&#39;m at my wit&#39;s end.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone... I&#39;m rigging a prop; and I wanted to make it for Genesis 3 Female figure - that will be able to adopt to the figure&#39;s shape and pose well</p>

<p>However, I have serious problem with these objects bending like crazy!</p>

<p>I have used Figure Setup to create a legacy version and compare the two.</p>

<p>First one is custom rigging with TriAx, second one is straight from parametric legacy using figure setup</p>

<p>Both have same values on rotation (I just did one side for TriAx version), and look at how stretchy is TriAx and unstretchy for parametric rigging..</p>

<p>I know I&#39;m must doing something wrong - but don&#39;t know where to start.</p>

<p>I have a Windows 8.1 pro, Intel i7 6700k, 32gb ram, Directx 11, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gb, MSI z170a motherboard and 700w psu.</p>

<p>&nbsp;I know there are question like I&#39;m about to asked about Iray rendering but I need help with this one problem. When I just checked the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gb but unchecked cpu it didn&#39;t work. Am I missing something or do I need to check both cpu and gpu? Cuz I thought you can just use the graphic card without cpu. And what is this threshold, I tried to find the answer for this question but with no success. Please help thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I don&#39;t know if this is a bug or intended behavior, but I always encounter the same problem when copying PBR surface properties (Iray Uber base) from one surface to another.</p>

<p>All properties get copied, except one, the <strong>Thinned Wall</strong> on/off property.&nbsp; If this property happens to be turned off in the copied-to surface, it stays off, even when the copied value should have been turned &quot;on&quot;.</p>

<p>I have to manually check to see if this property is turned on because it never seems to get set correctly.&nbsp; All versions of Daz Studio seems to have the same problem.</p>

<p>I bought a product called bar interior and its surfaces tab isn&#39;t like the usual 3Delight menu, see attachment. When I render the wall has these weird shiny bits, see other attachment. How do I remove these shiny bits? The only way was I edited the normal map but that made the wall too dark.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have no Smart Content after installing Daz 4.9 BETA.</p>

<p>When I tell it to install Metadata it says it imported 100% in about 1 minute, then just sits there doing nothing.&nbsp; I waited an hour but still nothing and no History shows up in the box either.</p>

<p>I don&#39;t used Smart Data much myself, but I need it when I add Metadata to my Free clothing items.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My seven year old AMD 6 core is showing it&#39;s age badly. I have a chance to purchase a new Dell Alienware i7 (Intel 7700 family CPU) desktop. Comes with an Nvidia GTX 1060/6 GB GPU.&nbsp;As this is a gaming system and I am not familiar with the main board I am wondering if this machine would be a good choice for me. I don&#39;t game at all. But I do use DAZ Studio 4.9 as a hobbyist a lot. I have always built home brew PC&#39;s in the past but the above mentioned machine can be had at a very attractive price. Quite a bit less than a PC I had configured to build. And I just don&#39;t feel like assembling another machine at this time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I am trying to create the effect of a figure growing whilest the clothe on her body stays the same size. I am trying to create a morph of a streched out bra but whenever I load the morph object target successfuly in Daz, when I move the morphing slider the bra just turns into a crumpled up piece of paper! What am I doing wrong? Here&#39;s my work flow.</p>

<p>1. I load the G2 figure in Daz.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>2. I fit G2 with bra.</p>

<p>3. I make invisible G2, and only leave visible the bra. I select the bra and all its nodes.</p>

<p>4. In parameters, in mesh resolution, I set resolution level to BASE, Subdivision level to 0 and the SubDivision Algorythm to Catmull-Clark (Legacy).</p>

<p>5. I export bra as object from Daz leaving scale to 100%, and uncheck write groups and write surfaces in the object exporter settings.</p>

<p>6. In the scene tab I make invisible the bra, and make visible the G2 figure. I scale up the G2 figure from 87% to 110%.</p>

<p>7. I export scaled up G2 as object.</p>

<p>8. I check the vertices of the bra in Daz, it has 6,672 vertices in order to compare the numbers of vertices in blender and see if they are the same.</p>

<p>9. I open the bra object in Blender and the number of vertices of the bra matched with the number of vertices in Daz. So far so good...</p>

<p>10. I open the G2 figure object in Blender to use as a base to morphing the bra. I use the shrinkwrap effect modifier to make the bra stick and strech to the figure.</p>

<p>11. I have shaped the bra in Blender to make it look like it&#39;s streching using shrinkwrap modifier. I erase the G2 figure in Blender in order to export the morphed bra as object to be used as morph target.</p>

I come back to&nbsp;Daz, select the bra fitted to the G2 figure, I go into Morph Loader Pro, I choose as preset the recently exported morphed and streched bra object from Blender, I change reverse deformations to YES in the Morph Loader Pro settings, and the morph is accepted and created.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there a way, from a morph slider, to work out what product the morph was part of (or, alternately the path to the duf file that contains the morph, from which that could probably be determined)?</p>

<p>I can obviously pull up the &quot;Parameters&quot; dialog from the slider. &nbsp;It lists the name of the morph adjustment itself (don&#39;t know the technical name for it - the equation?)&nbsp;and the path within the UI, but I don&#39;t see any way of working back to the file on disk or the install package name. (Yes, I could try uninstalling DIM&#39;s until it vanished. That&#39;s tedious. And assumes&nbsp;it&#39;s something in a DIM, which not all my content is.)</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been encountering this weird (and probably common!) problem lately:</p>

<p>1. G3F&#39;s eyelashes are casting shadows on her face.<br />
2. I removed the eyebrows on a paint software&nbsp;(it&#39;s painted on a jpg file as one of the textures) yet oddly enough the outline of the brows are showing<br />
<br />
Please see the attachment for an illustration of the problem.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am wanting to use Daz to create animations for chracters (morphs and skeletal) and export them to Unity, and generally get things exporting fine as an FBX, but am having &nbsp;issues with the character not playing the animation back correctly from Unity. &nbsp;It looks like some of the bones are wrong, typically the legs, and I have no idea how to get things working properly.</p>

<p>I can map a Unity animation properly to the character, but the exported animation that comes with the very same character doesn&#39;t play right.</p>

<p>I&#39;d definitely appreciate help getting this last part sorted. &nbsp;Also if there is a good tutorial on how to handle morphed animations from Daz to Unity, I&#39;d appreciate seeing that too. &nbsp;</p>

Let&#39;s say I select a sword in the Scene tab.&nbsp;I used to be able to see that specific item&#39;s materials&nbsp;in Smart Content immediately. Now, I have to select the product in Smart Content, open it, and wade through the various materials for every item in that product, just to find the sword&#39;s materials. This isn&#39;t very smart, because it doesn&#39;t save me any time like it used to.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I purchased a new computer installed my downloads and transferred my characters over. I have some specialty characters I use that are just a bunch of morphs and dials.&nbsp;&nbsp;The characters are about 90 percent the same except they have larger shoulders . I checked to make sure &nbsp;all the same &nbsp;morphs are used and they are. But the shoulders are about 15&nbsp;percent bigger when rendered using my new&nbsp;computer versus old computer using the same morphs. Has anyone experienced this? i will see if I can adjust them smaller but the difference in the shoulder look is unattractive.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;Hi. I have a problem with the morphs. I have tried to create the Morphs but I can not find the form. I have done the following: &nbsp;</p>

<p>1 - I took the base Genesis 3 (Male) and put the figure with the right eye closed (I use pose controls).</p>

<p>2- &nbsp;I export it with low resolution as OBJ.</p>

<p>3 - Then I use the Morph Loader and I load the OBJ file with the eye closed.</p>

<p>4 - The problem is that when I apply the morph and slide the bar my figure becomes small.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a new system coming in a few days that comes with a GTX 1060 6 GB video card. If I wanted to add another external video card to my setup for Iray renders to boost speed, what all would I need to make that happen as far as components? And also, what would be other considerations I should be mindful of when shopping?</p>

<p>Also, to make sure I&#39;m understanding correctly, if you render in iray with multiple video cards the CUDA cores are combined but not the amount of VRAM..right? So an extra video card WOULD improve my rendering speeds, but would not increase the size of the scenes that I can render using VRAM. Thanks!</p>

<p>It doesn&#39;t seem to be a serious enough problem to run Daz as usual, it&#39;s just annoying - as far as I can tell. Would be nice to fix it.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone, I&#39;ve been thinking about upgrading to more newer GPU cards, as my GTX 660 is having hard time dealing with iray renders.</p>

<p>However, as you might know -this is really not a great time to buy new GPU cards, with the rise of bitcoin and etherium and whatnot..</p>

<p>Prices are rocketing high on Nvidia as well, although they are not popular as much as AMD, which are miners&#39; preference.</p>

<p>Should I even think of upgrading at this point? And I have very limited budget to upgrade - Does GTX1050 Ti have enough muscle for me to consider getting this card?</p>

<p>At least it&#39;s got 4GB of VRAM, whereas my 660 got only 2GB...</p>
