      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought a character set but it&#39;s nipple size, texture-wise is too small. Enlarging them using morphs makes it awkward because a huge part of flesh is interpreted as the areola and it &nbsp;enlarges together with the nipple. This isn&#39;t DAZ-ish I know because it has more to do with paint software, so can any expert here advise how to properly enlarge the painted-on texture without making the result look like an obvious copy and paste job? I tried to clone tool on GIMP...very limited success.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I don&#39;t really have yet the technical jargon about what I want to explain to you guys. Basically, I got a freebie of some nipplecovers or nipple tassels, but I have trouble fitting this object to my character. This product seems very basic. I found a video from Daz that explain follow nodes and parenting, so I&#39;ll be ok for that I think. The thing I want to ask today is how could I split the geometry of the nipple tassels to make 2 (the right and the left one) so I can select and pose each sides independantely. As of right now I can only scale and rotate the pair as a whole.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Do you get where I&#39;m going? Need more info?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Wooden Bleachers is a specific example. <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/wooden-bleachers">https://www.daz3d.com/wooden-bleachers</a> It is a prop that says it comes with a DSON core installer. There are others (Saloon, etc).</p>

<p>System: Win 7, 64 bit.</p>

<p>I have run the DSON exe and directedd it to put its files where my Poser.exe resides.</p>

<p>I have a separate directory for Daz specific content under Public Documents, as the&nbsp; YouTube video above suggests.</p>

<p>Say:&nbsp; C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\DazDsonContent\RuntimeDazDSON\Runtime</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>With Daz files they usually come:&nbsp; <strong>Content\Runtime</strong>, with several files at the&nbsp; same&nbsp; level as Content, typically dsx. There are also typically files at the same level as &#39;Runtime&#39;, but in Poser I don&#39;t want a &#39;Content&#39; folder above my Runtime so right now I am ignoring the dsx files that come at the same level as &#39;Content&#39;.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I can see the RuntimeDazDSON runtime directory in Poser, but all the files have (0) for number of items in it.</p>

<p>What am I doing wrong?&nbsp;</p>

<p>(1) Even though it says it has a DSON intaller, does &#39;bleachers&#39; have a chance of working in Poser?&nbsp; It says it is for Daz 4.9; I am confused because it also says it has the DSON installer which I thought was only for use with Poser. I thought this might work because they are objects and props, though I was expecting possible difficulties with textures and shaders.</p>

<p>(2) Is there something I need to run every time I add something to get Poser to see the Content?</p>

<p>(3) Do I need the dsx files at the same level as &#39;Content&#39;</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>i have been tweaking a G3 character over many weeks and all is great as long as I just work within it&#39;s file.</p>

<p>if I merge it into a scene it loses some morphs and gets an odd pose that &nbsp;used a while back even though I zeroed the pose....it even does this with a scene with just one camera. If the scene is empty merge works fine.&nbsp;</p>

<p>if I merge some scene files into this file the furniture moves to zero....but some scenes that do not use groups work ok.</p>

<p>i tried saving out subsets and character settings to try and correct the issue post merge but nothing happens...or it freezes.</p>

<p>i guess as long as I just merge scenes into this character file I could muddle along but I can&#39;t help thinking it&#39;s going to screw up some time in the future.</p>

<p>i was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience and what they did to fix it ....I guess file merge and file load are somehow&nbsp;technically out of whack with each other.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;I sometimes add an article of clothing and them go to change the texture from the default by double clicking one of the textures that comes with the product and forget that I still have my character selected. In the editor, nothing happens but when I go to render the scene, the person&#39;s face or arms or something has that texture of clothing. Is there a way to undo that mistake? The undo button doesn&#39;t undo it. It undoes the previous action.</p>

<p>&nbsp;I noticed that in Render-Settings&gt;Iray&gt;Sun Dial Set.duf there is no png file shown. It only shows a white frame with a white triangle with a black exclamation mark in the center, which I usually assume means that the png file is missing or not in the right place...but I didn&#39;t see any sun dial set.png anywhere in my files...</p>

<p>Is this not meant to have a png associated with it, or is it and I can&#39;t find mine? Thanks for your help and your time!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I have my morphs all set up. I go to file &gt; Save as &gt; Character Preset &gt; I dont touch anything I just save.</p>

<p>Now when ever I load a fresh Genesis 3 into my scene it loads AS that character.</p>

<p>If I load an old scene. It loads everything into the scene PLUS applies all the morphs my character I just saved was using.</p>

<p>If I delete the Actor preset, It dont fix the issue...</p>

<p>I&#39;d like to apply the morph only on the specific body part.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am working on a new product and in doing so, I have created different sets of UVs for the object and imported them via the scene tab/geometry.  Now that I have UVs that I like, I would like to get rid of the other two sets since they suck.  I've tried simply deleting them through windows explorer, but when I did that and tried to load the product, it said some things were missing and the item might not load as expected.  It did load properly, but I don't want that message popping up in my final product.</p>

<p>Anyone know how to safely remove the UV sets?</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey there! I have a set of questions regarding canvases and Iray&#39;s interactive mode. &nbsp;<br />

1. Interactive Mode yields bizarre results on most canvases when I&#39;m using scene lights (it seems to mostly behave okay with skydome lighting). <a rel="nofollow" href="http://i.imgur.com/1YcrL8X.jpg">Here is a comparison of the Beauty pass</a> in&nbsp;Photoreal/Interactive modes. <a rel="nofollow" href="http://i.imgur.com/n36Ivh9.jpg">This is an example of the Shadow canvas</a>&nbsp;(exposure from tone mapping removed). &nbsp;Are these outputs correct? &nbsp;If so, how are they supposed to be&nbsp;utilized in the workflow?&nbsp;<br />
2. Normal and AO canvases don&#39;t seem to recognize surface-based alpha (like opacity maps on hair) in either mode. &nbsp;This is pretty crippling for their&nbsp;usage since all Daz hair products utilize this. &nbsp;Can this be enabled?<br />
3. How do you assign lights to light groups to work with the Light Group canvas? &nbsp;There are no additional options for this canvas as I&nbsp;would expect there to be.<br />
4. From what I&#39;ve read you can supposedly turn shadows off on scene lights in Interactive Mode, but I haven&#39;t been able to get this to work. Is this possible? &nbsp;Or, is there another way to isolate shadows for doing work on them in post?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been creating morphs for Swidhelm&#39;s Skywyrm Bull and am having some difficulties with one particular morph.</p>

<p>Using Zbrush via the GoZ plugin, I have lengthened the neck of Swidhelm&#39;s Skywyrm Bull. Once back in DS [4.9.4.117 64-bit], the neck lenghten morph works great; until I try to close the dragon&#39;s mouth. Despite the limits being set (as per default), the jaw closes for far as to emerge out of the top of the head!</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been watching &quot;Transforming the Daz Dragon 3 with Zbrush&quot; tutorial set (which is fantastic btw - ) and the workflow shows, using the Joint Editor; right click on any of the bones - Edit &gt; Adjust Rigging to Shape; but a dialogue box [Adjust Rig to Shape] is them meant to pop up so that you can make any changes to the settings, click Accept, wait a few seconds for DS to process the request and presto! The rigging has been adjusted accordingly.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the dialogue box doesn&#39;t pop up and I haven&#39;t a clue as to what to do next.</p>

<p>FYI; I can manually close the mouth using the slider and not slide it all the way (only until the mouth is closed properly) but I want to know what I am doing wrong or what I am missing - and I dare say that this problem will also affect posing the dragon in many other body parts other than the lower jaw.</p>

<p>In case anyone is wondering why I am working on a different model than what is used in the tutorial; you use what you&#39;ve got and the content applies to morphing in general; not just the Daz Dragon 3....</p>

<p>Any help, suggestions would be appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My &#39;Daz Content&#39;&nbsp;SSD misbahving so I had to format it.</p>

<p>I reimported all the content from a backup taken last night but now Daz can&#39;t find the&nbsp;texture files.</p>

<p>The&nbsp;file structure and content&nbsp;is exactly the same on&nbsp;the backup (even&nbsp;the name of the SDD)&nbsp;so it shouldn&#39;t be an issue of Daz&nbsp;looking in the wrong place for the information.&nbsp;And all my stuff from Rendo is working perfectly with no missing texture problems - it&#39;s&nbsp;got it&#39;s own&nbsp;folder but still on the same SSD with the Daz content.</p>

<p>When I look in the texture folder (where it says things are missing) it&#39;s all there&nbsp;where I&#39;d expect them to be.</p>

<p>Smart content is also missing all thumbnail imagery except for the very top level (character image on the folder&nbsp;is visible, but figure/mats/etc within the folder all show the warning exclamation mark).</p>

<p>I&#39;m confused about what has gone wrong because I moved everything to a different SSD once before and had no problems. This isn&#39;t even a different SSD and it&#39;s all gone wrong.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I cannot render via NVIDIA Iray with my GTX 1060 set as my Photoreal device. I did read that the new 10 series cards were not yet supported with Iray but has this been updated since or am I experiencing user error? When I render the window is blank and shows no render progress.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rendering with CPU or 3Delight seems to work fine. I&#39;m using DazStudio 4.9.1.30.&nbsp;</p>

But now, any given pixel in the texture is either fully opaque or fully transparent. Is there a way to change the opacity of a material?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>For some reason, DIM has been acting up lately. I just finished downloading and installing 4000+ files. Because I have a small hard drive, I had it delete it after it installed. Now I launched dim again, and it seems to have forgotten it installed all those files. What can I do? It isn&#39;t possible to keep 4000 files of downloaded folders, and my stuff is already installed. I don&#39;t want to hide those pending installs since I want to see my updates.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m scripting something from DS to Blender, but I&#39;m having issues trying to figure out how to pass communication between the two.</p>

<p>To be more specific, I want to return an acknowledgment from Blender when something has been completed, but I can&#39;t find anything in the DS SDK that would listen to the Blender process. Is there a function that allows me to do this?</p>

<p>Alternatively, I could get around this by checking&nbsp;if the Blender process is running, and quit Blender each time something has finished, but that seems very inefficient.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I would like to add a store id to the database. I have the script example and was hoping it would be clear where I could imput the store name in the script but it is all Greek to me. :) if anyone knows how to script for DS would they be kind enough to look at the script and tell me where I should input the store name I wanted to use. I assume after I have the script it will just be a matter of using the Script IDE to add it.       <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve recently started having an issue with every single G3M based character I own. &nbsp;The arm roots at the back distort horribly if you bend the upper arm more than about 60 degrees.</p>

<p>This is something new. &nbsp;I&#39;ve been using G3M for years without any difficulty. &nbsp;I&#39;ve attached a render. &nbsp;I&#39;ve also submitted a help ticket. &nbsp;Just interested if anyone else is seeing&nbsp;this or might be able to offer any suggestions.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve never really used a dome in my pictures, because I never understood how to work with it in Daz properly.</p>

<p>In other 3D Programs, I can&nbsp;add several maps to my scene to be used as reflection, lightmap or background. I Daz it seems I can only use a single map which I can choose to show in the background or not, but it appears that it alwas serves as light source and reflection. So my question is: is it possible to use the dome only for reflection without any light coming from it? If so, than how?</p>

<p>i exported daz content (.dae format) with default settings(all morphs datas checked, except combine morphs option) and imported into blender program. models and armatures loaded properly but i couldnt find any morphs in there.&nbsp; arent they supposed to be shape keys in blender? or blender itself wont read morph data in collada even in generic form?</p>
