      <description><![CDATA[<p>in 4.8, I&nbsp;used the alphabetical list in the Content Pane to quickly locate all my content.&nbsp;(from A-Z).</p>

<p>But 4.8 used&nbsp;an alphabetical list, or tree, so that I could scan quickly through all my content.</p>

<p>4.9&#39;s Content Pane shows an option for A-Z, but does&nbsp;not present an alphabetical list (that I can locate) to allow me to jump&nbsp;from one letter of the alphabet to another (A-Z).</p>

<p>At the moment, I cannot locate product when I need it.</p>

<p>4.9 presents pictures, which is nice, but...more searching&nbsp;seems to be involved. (in fact, now I have to look at my online product page to check on what I have. And sometimes, I still cannot bring it up.)&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is this by&nbsp;design?</p>

<p>Is the 4.8&nbsp;arrangement for locating product, no longer a part of&nbsp;daz studio,&nbsp;in version 4.9?</p>

<p>or can&nbsp;I&nbsp;reset the Content Pane to list my products the way 4.8 did?- &nbsp;in an A-Z&nbsp;list.</p>

<p>But I cannot find the control that is mentioned in the product description. There *are* hair morphs but not these options:</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;d like to take a character I&#39;ve been using since Genesis/Victoria5 and remake her with G8/V8. There is a product that should cover me on converting the skin (daz3d.com/legacy-uvs-for-genesis-8-victoria-5), although I do wonder if it will work wit the G8 Female Anatomical Elements. I&#39;ve modified the skin for this figure using Skin Builder Pro for Gensis and G2. I also modified some parts of it in Paint Shop.</p>

<p>I am at a loss though&nbsp;as to remaking the body shape with G8. I can set all the dials the same, use Shape Shift for Genesis 8 Females, but it is not the same body in several key ways. The primary thing missing is the character morph. I&#39;m using Brianne as a base (daz3d.com/brianne).&nbsp;Something that could take all of the morphs and dials from Genesis and make for 1 dial added to G8 would be ideal, or an imported file.</p>

<p>Is there something in the store that can help me?&nbsp;&nbsp;I don&#39;t want to learn how to make my own models; that&#39;s likely well beyond my skill level. I don&#39;t want to make own merchant resources.&nbsp;I just want to keep using my character in still images or finished videos with newer clothes and poses. I may just have to work with what I have.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I don&#39;t know if this is unique to G3F since I&#39;ve never had this encounter with V4 before. I fit a hair set on G3F then while dialing some morphs on the body, like shoulder size or chin length, the hair moves in accordance with the morph. Like when I increase shoulder size that causes the shoulders to move upwards and correspondingly the hair moves upwards as well. This has caused the hair to look weird at some angles, in the same example there&#39;s a folded line at the middle of the hair because the part that&#39;s moved upwards intersects with the part adjacent to it. How do I still morph the body without indirectly morphing the hair to some weird shape?</p>

<p>Hello!&nbsp;So here&#39;s my bullet pointed issue...</p>

<p>Blender (2.77):<br />
- I have an object with shape keys<br />
- I zero out all loc/rot/origin info<br />
- I export as FBX</p>

<p>DAZ (4.9 Pro):<br />
- I import the FBX (things are properly aligned at this point)<br />
- I use &#39;Edit&#39; &gt; &#39;Object&#39; &gt; &#39;Rigging&#39; &gt; &#39;Convert Prop to Figure&#39;</p>

<p>PROBLEM: my imported FBX Obj gets turned into a figure I can start rigging in DAZ... but the transforms get reset, and my figure now appears in a different orientation.</p>

<p>To properly realign the figure, I may have to set its &#39;X Rotate&#39; and &#39;Z Rotate&#39; parameters to &#39;-90&#39; for example...&nbsp;at which point&nbsp;the bones do not allow me to have the rotation order I want when I start rigging.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried &#39;Bake to Transform&#39; after readjusting things using the X/Y/Z sliders, thinking that might &#39;zero out&#39; all the params I&#39;ve had to manually set to compensate for the conversion, but without success. Doing this within the context of the Joint Editor creates the same problem.</p>

<p>I&#39;m probably being stupid and missing something very simple, but I can&#39;t seem to figure it out, or find a similar problem described in the boards. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!</p>

<p>I really hope this is somthing that I&#39;m doing wrong and not just another sad instence&nbsp;of wasted money...</p>

<p>Is it possible to make Iray skin value setting presets without the texture maps? so it can be applied to any of the same base character with different textures? I tried. I set up M7 with my own setting values removed the texture maps making a shader preset then put M7 in the scene applied the shader preset and he turned white.</p>

<p>We&#39;ve already discussed things like how scientifically speaking male and female reptiles are genrally indistinguishable from eachother, but hes not satisfied with that answer. he wasnt both males and females, and he wants people to be able to tell the difference between the two. AKA he wants a good looking female model, with softer feminine features and scaly boobs...</p>

<p>I&#39;m sure the Lizardians would have worked fine a couple years ago, but i need something more up to date..</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I originally download DAZ Studio 4.9 (64-bit) I didn&#39;t notice the path to Adobe Bridge CC 2017 or Photoshop CC 2017 was not included at the time I didn&#39;t realize how important the path is, I would uninstal DAZ and reinstall it but I have been practicing, I saved my work to my desktop, I didn&#39;t know if I&#39;d lose any of it. Instead of worrying about losing anything I&#39;d like to manually create a path to the Photoshop Apps... Can someone give me a link with instructions to do this manually or is there another way to create the path...</p>

<p>While analyzing the the Female Body Morphs, I realized that some of the dsf files include morph data and the change of center/end point. Other files use a simple rotate/translate of the bone together with morph data (e.g expression files).</p>

<p>I understand that setting rotate and translate is reflected in the UI, whereas shifting center and end is not, which seems to be useful for creating a character. Nevertheless I wonder, if the changing of the center/end point somehow influences the default joint orientation? The orientation does not necessarily follow the end point.</p>

<p>Regarding end point: What is the use of the end point? Someone told me that it is used by PointAt, but I have no idea, what the Point At is for. Can someone enlighten me or tell me where I can find some information?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I don&#39;t have a Nvidia card&mdash;and have a laptop not designed for 3D work&mdash;so I usually render over night and rarely get more than 1500 iterations. Since I upgraded to 4.9.4.117, I&#39;ve rendered two scenes and they&#39;ve finished with much more noise (and many fewer iterations). I don&#39;t have a benchmark for the before, but the render I just ran for 8 hours finished with &gt;250 iterations for a scene with a single G3F (plus an instance) in one of the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/gis-project">GIS hallway props</a> retextured with Iray materials. The previous render that ended with even fewer iterations after more time was a single G3F&nbsp;in a <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/wildwoods-watercraft">simple boat</a>&nbsp;on a water plane&nbsp;with a physical sun. The memory load on these wasn&#39;t too high, since I was using legacy, low-map products for most stuff and the scenes&nbsp;are farily minimal, nor was there much geometry&mdash;all things that usually produce a fast, high-iteration render. One variable that&#39;s different from my usual renders is that these were rendered out a ~30-50%&nbsp;larger than I usually render.</p>

<p>I haven&#39;t rendered these scenes before (and don&#39;t track render times beyond glancing at the numbers), so I don&#39;t have a scientific knowledge that render efficiency has dropped significantly. Was there a change that impacts CPU-based rendering? Were these scenes somehow flawed? Could something else be impacting render times?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Attached is a postworked version of the boat render. I reduced the noise as best I could, but it&#39;s fairly visible in the shadow areas. Also attached is a screenshot of part of the GIS render (which I&#39;m going to let render more later); that has no postwork.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m working on building a scene and whenever I put something new out, it puts it in the middle somewhere, instead of near where I want it.&nbsp; For example, I want to put books on a bookshelf.&nbsp; I drag it over to the bookshelf, wanting to put it there, or at least close.&nbsp; Instead, it goes all the way over to the other side of the scene and i have to manuever it all the way across the scene.&nbsp; Or being able to put a wall, right next to the wall I just placed.</p>

<p>How do I set up Daz3d (4.9) so that objects and props will go where I drag them to?&nbsp; Am I missing something?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all, not really new been around since 2008, re-learning my way around things again</p>

<p>I installed the&nbsp; dim version 1.1.0.67, ( previous one was working ok,a few slight hiccups)</p>

<p>the one above says it has downloaded and installed figures that I have checked the box on download and installation,</p>

<p>I open up daz studio pro version 4.9.4.117 and they are not installed, they are greyed out but daz managers says they are installed</p>

<p>the other strange thing is when I load a figure doesnt matter which one it is, I go to the translation tools, or shaping/posing or any other on the panel</p>

<p>and this happens, attachment below,</p>

<p>the only thing I have changed is&nbsp; I installed the newer&nbsp; dim, and installed a few figures I bought this morning from daz</p>

<p>has someone else come across this?</p>

<p>and when I try to apply the toga to figures other than Michael 4, the toga never changes shape or moves, no matter how I move the figure. If I change the pose of the figure the Toga stays in its original position. Does anyone know why? If I purchase M4 and use it with the toga, will the toga change position and shape when I use aniblocks on the M4 figure?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I do most of my animation work inside of Carrara - and according to DAZ documentation, anything installed with DAZ Connect will NOT be accessible by Carrara.</p>

<p>Is that still the case?</p>

<p>And if so, is there a way for me to completely disable DAZ Connect so I don&#39;t inadvertently make certain items inaccessible in Carrara?</p>

<p>Is there a way to identify content I&#39;ve already installed via DAZ Connect so I can reinstall that through DAZ Install Manager and use in Carrara?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a scene with many figures.</p>

<p>One of them makes my machine crawl to move or adjust. all the other figures can be acted upon with no delays.</p>

<p>Posing them, moving them, expressions etc, all wickedly fast.&nbsp;</p>

<p>1 figure is struggling with everything.</p>

<p>I tried deleting the figure and reloading it, and the new version is just as bad.</p>

<p>Any ideas why 1 figure would cause so much trouble?</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>- Several figures use GROUP to gather clothes and items....so this isn&#39;t the culptit.</p>

<p>- I did do the Scene Optimizer and everything seems to work fine.</p>

<p>- It&#39;s a gen 3 figure with the same amount of clothes as all the rest.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m sure others have noticed and commented on this, but the more I work with the figure, the more her stubby arms annoy&nbsp;me. No woman I ever saw has arms that short in proportion to her height.</p>

<p>I know I can increase the arm length, but that screws up prefabbed poses&nbsp;something terrible. <em>Any</em> change of proportion seems to make a mess of of prefabbed poses, sometimes leaving detached fingers floating around the scene. Has anyone found a general cure, or a&nbsp;workaround?</p>
