      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve made a bunch of HDRi&#39;s and want to call them from a .duf file and thumbnail in the Content Library with the actual HDRi&#39;s in the Textures folders. For the life of me I can figure out how to accomplish that. LOL!! I know it&#39;s doable as I have products that use the method described.</p>

<p>Would some kind sole educate me as to the method and process?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I just downloaded Daz Studio (The latest version) and have Done the tutorial to get a small knowledge before trying anything on my own. But the on the last part, where you&#39;re supposed to render your image it went really slow... After one hour and 30 minuters it had Done 9% so I stopped it. Since then I have been browsing for an answer and tried some tips but none worked. Therefore I&#39;m making my own thread to see if anything new pops up. I would be very greatful if any tip actually worked for me!&nbsp;</p>

<p>My Specs are Nvidia GeForce 750Ti,&nbsp;Intel core i7 and 16 GB of DDR3 Ram, 1 TB HDD&nbsp;as well as a 256 GB SSD and I&#39;m running Windows 10&nbsp;with updated Nvidia Drivers.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>im mainly a 3dsmax user where we have a material library and any changes made in that library will be reflected immedaitely throught the scene..</p>

<p>im bring a model across from max....unless im missing something it seems like even though materials in a daz scene can have the same name across different objects they are in fact totally independent.</p>

<p>i cant even select all the surfaces with the same named material across many objects since it only works on one at a time.</p>

<p>this seems quite dificult if your working on a large architectural scene that is split up into different sections but using a common set of materials.</p>

<p>any ideas guys on how to do this without laboriously applying the same material to different objects whenever i tweak a material??</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought the 3d model fly agaric mushroom from quixel megascans which is a collection of mushrooms at different stages of growth .Ive used quixel megascans both in Daz studio and vue before, but these come as a big group, that need to be seperated Now in vue they are easy to seperate as you can just click on the model name and the + sign and it shows all the seperate ones which can then be saved one at a time .if i load them in to DAZ studio I can not see a way to seperate them any ideas ? In Daz studio they show as one object and all though they are easy to save as seperate ones in vue , vue can not save them in a format that DAZ studio can use.</p>

<p>So I downloaded the latest 4.9 version and went to install it. &nbsp;It un-installed my&nbsp;4.8 version but then produced two errors during setup (see attached image). &nbsp;Now I have a blank 4.9 shortcut icon which gives me a &quot;Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file.....&quot; &nbsp;Has anyone else experienced these problems and what is the work around?</p>

<p>I did do two downloads of the installer in case something got corrupted during the downloading, but this doesn&#39;t seem to be the case as an un-install followed by a re-install of the second download produced the same errors.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m working with the Fantasy Cloth Wrap product and successfully transferred the custom bones, morphs and dials to a fitted version on G3F. However, I&#39;m running into an issue with the ERC dials -- namely that they still point to the old bone locations instead of the new ones.</p>

<p>Is there any way to directly change what an ERC dial points to within DS, or will I have to make a new ones?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve had this problem before and never found a solution.</p>

<p>I apply a pose to G3M (or G3F) and the pose has eyes looking one way.&nbsp; Everything looks right in the openGL preview, but when I render, it&#39;s as though the eyes are looking straight forward.&nbsp; No amount of messing with the eyes in pose dials (either directly on the eyes or through the &#39;eyes left-right&#39; part of the pose controls) has any effect.</p>

<p>I tried searching the forums (directly and through off-site search) but couldn&#39;t find anything about it.</p>

<p>Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?</p>

<p>I have installed&nbsp;HeadShop OneClick (WIN) August 2017. It is possible to create a raw head based on the front view, however, the profile view doesn&#39;t work. I can draw a profile sometimes - the program functions randomly. And the drawn profile will maybe/maybe not be transfered to the profile shown to the right for a very short time, when I press return. But I cannot tranfer the profile to the 3D-head even if I manage to tranfer it to the profile shown to the right. The pictures of the program interface shown in the pdf instructions are not the same as in the program interface I see - both for face and profile. I have installed the program manually 3 times - just to be sure. The program seems to be a draft - not af finished QA&#39;ed program.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>Have you been able to use the profile function?</p>

Perhaps somebody can help me, because if I use the shaders, the hole part (e.g.ponytail) will take the same color, but I only want the tips (the end part of the ponytail) of the hair in another color. Unfortunately&nbsp;there is no guide to this hair.&nbsp;<span>Which steps I have to go in DS for this?&nbsp;</span></p>

<p>I just used Measured Metrics script for the first time in a couple months and saw that changing the unit of measurement from cm to in no longer does the conversion. So if I looked at G3F&#39;s height value which is 179.85 cm and change the unit of measurement to inches, the 179.85 value stays unchanged where in the past the value would change and convert to the inches equivalent instantly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the figure metrics script through DIM and restarted my version of Studio (The most recent updated version) but no dice. Still won&#39;t work.</p>

<p>Anyone seeing the same behavior in the Measure Metrics/Figure Metrics script?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I went ahead and tried to run the Install Manager update that popped up on my screen when I opened DIM, but it ran into an error and now I can&#39;t install it at all. I can&#39;t access it. I get an error message that it couldn&#39;t install, and if I try to run it, I get an &quot;unknown error&quot; message, so it won&#39;t open at all. Did I do something crazy, or is there a glitch in the update? I now no longer have DIM, so I will have to manually installl anything new.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I just got DAZ yesterday and I&#39;m having an issue with rendering times being extremely long (30+ minutes for simple render with a single figure). I have a feeling this may be due to the fact that Iray is only using my CPU for rendering, rather than both CPU and GPU as I selected. When I tell the program to only use the GPU the rendering comes out blank. I was wondering if there is a way to connect the GPU to the program, or if the issue is with where I stored the files, or maybe my specs being inadequate. My specs are:</p>

<p>CPU: Intel i5-6500</p>

<p>GPU: GTX 1070</p>

<p>16 GB RAM</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve branched off into the world of Blender now I want to return with my charcters so I can use pwtoon and other Daz tools. but I get a taffy result when I import. I&#39;ve imported the way you should and&nbsp; I can get her in if I don&#39;t select the bone in Blender and import her in as a prop but she loses all her bone skinning. I&#39;ve tried fbx and dae with similar reults. What do people use to make characters? Don&#39;t tell me hexagon cause that&#39;s so buggy that it&#39;s almost unsuable. Do you have to use rigging tools to do so? Where did they go? I used to use daz3 so daz 4.9 is alien to me but im willing to give it a go.</p>

<p>I&#39;m facing a problem that is beyond my knowledge and it&#39;s driving me nuts. I have this foutaine image with four lampposts, the first image is ok.</p>

<p>Recently I edited the .duf file to improve the streets, but when I rendered it all the lights became square.&nbsp;I didn&#39;t change anything in the emissive object or the surface and already restored render settings default.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I did a test with many variations, in the third image I:</p>

<p>- Removed the moon light from environment.</p>

<p>- Create a plane primitive above the floor. Only changed the surface base color to 153 153 153.</p>

<p>- Upper left: removed the lamppost and created a brand new object.</p>

<p>- Upper right: created a spotlight, Are rectangle 200x400, 400000 lumens, render emitter off.</p>

<p>- Bottom right: created a sphere primitive, applied iray emissive surface, temperature 5000, luminance 500000 cd/cm^2</p>

<p>- Bottom left: kept the scene object.</p>

<p>What can be happening?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Having a little problem with Genesis 8 in Hexagon. When I send G8 to Hex from Daz the figure is invisible until I select it, and goes invisible once I select something else. The figure is set to visible in the scene tab. Not having this issue with any other figures / objects. Just G8 (and the eyebrows). Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Whenever I load the Victoria figure into the Morphing Clothes software, I get a message saying that &quot;some script calls were not resolved&quot;. I am&nbsp;indeed&nbsp;missing quite a few morphs for my figure, for her arms, legs etc, and I have no idea where to find them. I&#39;m using a windows 10.&nbsp;</p>
