Each time I change lighting sheme, I have to restart DAZ to render with IRAY. Because when I add or remove lighting source, render starts with CPU - not GPU. I use &quot;scene only&quot; render with mesh lights.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey guys, I&#39;m relatively new when it comes to DAZ and Genesis 3. Been using Genesis 1 for a while and it&#39;s fine and all, but I decided to get up to date a bit. I&#39;ve installed the Essentials for Male and Female Genesis 3 with the Manager, it&#39;s installed and checked, but I can only find the Male in the Smart Content tab. I&#39;ve to manually dig up the Female from my library content viewer.</p>

<p>Is this just the way it&#39;s supposed to be or do I have to do a thing for it to appear in the smart content tab?</p>

<p>Also, I&#39;m used to the soft gray smooth shaded texture in Genesis 1... for some reason, my Genesis 3 model is glaringly white. Is this supposed to be like this by default? <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-body-morphs">How can I make it so that it looks like the screenshots shown here?</a></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Why do Genesis 3 characters render with lines through them in 3 delight?&nbsp; Tyically, the farther away the character is, the worse the lines get.</p>

<p>With base render settings and no modifications to the character, one should reasonably expect that the character should render cleanly.&nbsp; I have tried suggested fixes on other threads (SubD Algorithm, Shading Rate, Shading Scale, Edge Interpolation) but they usually make the problem worse.</p>

<p>Attached is an example...note the lines through the thighs and shoulders.</p>

<p>Can someone from Daz weigh in here on why this is happeneing?</p>

<p>I for one have spent a ton of money on this software only to get frustrated time and time again.&nbsp; If I could take a complete refund of all the money I have sunk into this and walk away, I would.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I already raised a ticket for it, but it&#39;s the weekend and maybe one of you has a quick idea.</p>

<p>I got a new computer with smaller SSD (C:\) and a bigger &quot;normal&quot; hard disk (D:\) . I installed DAZ on the SSD but moved the content libary to D:\. I could have copied over my previous library, but decided to install everything from scratch to get a clean version and leave out products I don&#39;t use anymore, mostly 3Delight and Genesis 2.</p>

<p>After the installation, the Body Morphs for Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 Female show up only partially. I get the Bodybuilder morphs, but not the Fitness morphs and Height and Body Tone. However, I Ioad a figure that has been created on my old computer with these morphs, they are loaded, and I can use them for that figure, but not a new one.</p>

<p>I deinstalled/reinstalled the body morphs, updated the metadate, cleared the cache, rebooted, reinstalled DAZ ... problem remains.</p>

<p>Does anyone have an idea? Thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I have been working on a series of renders... Up till now, they are all quite acceptable to me for the project I had in mind.. But then I come to this one and it&#39;s got these little white dots all over it? &nbsp;I had changed NOTHING from the previous renders, and after seeing this thought perhaps a virtual camera had gone glitchy, so I deleted it and put in a new one and this is what I got (I&#39;ve been rendering at much higher resolutions so this is a &#39;low res&#39; sample or whatever you want call it). &nbsp;Any ideas what&#39;s going on all of a sudden? &nbsp;Before you ask, yes I&#39;ve tried playing iwth the tone mapping and darker or lighter I still get the little white spots... &nbsp;Can anyone help as this is kind of a large project and I&#39;d really hate to have to kill it because something like this keeps me from getting clear images.</p>

<p>I bought LY Cayenne HD and when doing a quick render and notice that the skin is way darker than the promo pictures. I did put Kimo 7 next to her and even though they have diffrent skintone she is almost as dark as him. Is it something I am doing wrong or&nbsp;should she be that different from the promo pictures&nbsp;?</p>

<p>I am currently having difficulties with my IM Install Manager. It logs in successfully ( or so it says).</p>

<p>I proceed to my product library and select &quot;download install&quot; Yet i get a msg of &quot; Account not setup for Install Manager&quot;</p>

<p>I have a decent amount in my Product library&nbsp; why would my IM suddenly decide it is no longer associated with an account.</p>

<p>The only change i can assume is my email or password. I find it odd that something like this would disconnect my Install Manager.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have an ongoing issue where some clothing, particularly items attached to the head and feet, such as&nbsp;hats, jewelery, and the like, deform in weird ways. The thing is, this only happens when the file is loaded. If I put together a brand new file and fit items to the figure, everything looks fine. Save, and reload, and it deforms. In the attached file, I have made a file where I did nothing but load a G3 Victoria figure, and fit the footwear. It looked perfectly fine upon save, but on reload, it looks like this. This happens reliably, and not just for this product, but for most footwear, and many other items. I&#39;ve tried redoing the database and uninstalling and reinstalling everything, and no change. What is broken here?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Not sure if there&#39;s a problem with my install, but I think I stumbled into a pretty severe bug: If I load two identical figures and start hiding polygons or face groups on one figure, it will report them as &#39;hidden&#39; on the other mesh as well. The viewport won&#39;t &#39;refresh&#39; the figure -- showing the hidden polys -- until something forces it to refresh, such as hiding/unhiding the figure from the scene tab or by hiding/unhiding another set of polygons.</p>

<p>Another way to see replicate problem is to load one figure (ie. G3F), hide a few face groups, then load another G3F. The new G3F will have the *exact* same face groups hidden for some reason.</p>

<p>I thought it was a naming issue, but renaming the figures doesn&#39;t seem to help with the problem at all.</p>

<p>Can anyone confirm that this is a bug?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everybody! So this is a weird one... I use LIE a lot, for makeup, tattoos, etc. Recently, after taking a break from Daz for a while, I started a new scene, and added LIE tattoos tpo a G3M figure. In the viewport they appear fine, but when I render they appear very very faint, as though the opacity is set really low. I&#39;ve checked, though, and the opacity in the LIE is at 100%.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>This is happening regardless of LIE resource of model... Is this familiar to anyone?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[This question would have been asked before, but I don't know how to word it to find the answers. Here's an explanation:

I made a custom morph in Blender for G3M (thanks to Sickleyield's tutorials) and wish to use hair and beard assets with it. I attempted to use both Garibaldi and Look At My Hair to make my own assets but unfortunately all my efforts with those plugins were wasted repeatedly due to crashes. Much reeee.

I decided instead to use the beard and hair assets from a previous iteration of the character (which used store-bought morphs) and set their fit-to information for the new iteration (my custom morph) of G3M. They failed to fit at all. I tried to take the beard to Blender to adjust manually but the mesh distortion was difficult for me to work with. I was hoping to have Studio manage the fit. The hair is fibremesh and I don't know how that would go in Blender.

Currently I am not yet able to test things further but 
A) would reapplying the beard/hair from the content files fit the new model better than simply reparenting the fit-to information?
B) what would work if that would not?
C) is it possible to create a fibremesh hair in Blender?

I'm unable to provide any images at this stage as I am not at my computer right now. Thanks in advance!]]></description>

I use daz3d since a few weeks and i struggle a lot rendering with my 960GTX 2g (CPU i5 6500), it takes me like 4 hours to do a render with great lightning in HQ.<br />
I saw this card KFA2 GeForce GTX 1060 OC, 6 Go, it&#39;s in my budget around 300e, do you think it would make a huge improvement or not that much ?&nbsp; Any recommendation for an other gpu in that range of price ?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>All of a sudden I am having problems importing Objs from Blender to Substance Painter.</p>

<p>In the past I have been able to export an object with multiple materials to Substance Painter with a single UV and then color select the different parts using Color ID map. Now nothing imports when I select the single texture set option.</p>

<p>I have it in Blender, create a color ID map, import to Substance Painter, select &#39;Create a Texture Set per UDIM Tile&#39; and then nothing seems to happen. If I do not select the UDIM Tile option it loads just fine but then I have all the different texture sets to deal with.</p>

<p>This has worked for me in the past but now it doesn&#39;t and I am wondering what I am forgetting to do.</p>

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Update: I think I figured it out. My UVs were slightly touching the edge of the tile. I scaled it down a a tiny bit and it seems to work now.</p>

<p>I do want to create a new UV set for an Genesis 3 shell.</p>

<p>Here is my approach:</p>

<p>1. Load Genesis 3 (fem) into the scene</p>

<p>2. Switch to Base resolution</p>

<p>3. Create a shell from Genesis 3</p>

<p>4. Export the shell as an .obj file</p>

<p>5. Modify the UV map in UVmapper or something similar</p>

<p>6. Load the modified .obj file as a new UV set for the shell surface</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>The problem is that I get the message that &quot;The UV map selected was invalid.&quot;.&nbsp; So I tried just to load the exported shell-obj as a new - even if unchanged - UV map, but the problem here was the same.</p>

<p>Ok, so I checked the number of vertices and found, that the export of the .obj (even if the resolution of G3 was set to Base) did some SubD on it....</p>

<p>Do you have any idea, how to get a propper export of the G3 shell to modify its UV mapping?</p>

<p>I have made numerous adjustments in Parameters to Blaire character (<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/blaire-for-genesis-3-female-s" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/blaire-for-genesis-3-female-s</a>) over the course of the last couple of months. Some of the adjustments included blending-in other Genesis 3 characters&#39; body features. After the adjustments were made, none of the Genesis 3 clothes that I had previously purchased fit the modified Blaire character. Everything now fits like a saran wrap (both, tops and bottoms). I have tried using Fit Control and Universal Breast Helper to no avail. The clothes just don&#39;t fit. Am I missing something here? If I am, please advise. This is super frustrating.       <description><![CDATA[<p>Here&#39;s my issue. &nbsp;every time I render and iray image after this recent update.. Daz freezes. &nbsp;it does not clear up. &nbsp;the program will either just close itself or becomes unresponsive and windows offers to close it. &nbsp;is there a fix?</p>

<p>3delight works fine, when it doesn&#39;t try to load iray shaders.</p>

<p>it will allow me to save the render before crashing..</p>

<p>running windows 7 premium home x64</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve got a couple of Victoria based Genesis 8 figures installed and while posing them using PowerPose, an interaction with a node will suddenly blank the viewport screen and the characters disappear. They are still visible in the Scene pane and the options available in the edit pane are still showing the characters but he viewport is just a blank gray. This has happened numerous times. I&#39;m using Studio 4.9.4.122 on a Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6.</p>

<p>I can&#39;t seem to find a way to make the figures visible in the viewport again. Any ideas?</p>
