      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have downloaded the latest version of LAMH catalyser. The problem with the freezing seems to be solved. But there are still issues. When loaded the catlayser plug in refuses to find catalyser items in scenes I&#39;ve already prepared. I&#39;ve noted that the plug in doesn&#39;t sit well when you have grouped items in your scene. The animal fur is the one premade by LAMH and I managed to render the scene with the earlier version of the catalyser plug in.</p>

I know this product is for making Textures (skins ones) from G3F Character working on G8F..<br />

But, is there exists any product that make G3F Morphs and Settings working on G8F (at least) ?<br />
Or it&#39;s native requiring no additionnal purchases for making them work on G8F ?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When loading the Victoria 4.2 model I am pleagued with countless error interuptions asking to manually hunt down specific channels files:</p>

<p>It takes forever to track down these coutnless files and basically makes this mode unusable. So maddening!</p>

<p>So how do I &quot;Make sure that the Poser content directories are set up correctly&quot;??!!?! &nbsp;so these errors stop and actually load the content permanently?</p>

<p>Is this fixable in DS 4.9 for Mac Sierra?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello! I&#39;m a complete noob and I&#39;m having trouble using content that I don&#39;t download from Daz3D. I&#39;ve downloaded stuff from renderosity and everything I download from&nbsp;there seems to be missing textures: I end up with a mass of grey rectangles. I also get an error message that some stuff is missing, but it&#39;s atcually right where it&#39;s suppose to be... I&#39;m obviously doing something wrong.&nbsp;Any help is strongly appreciated! Here&#39;s the log files of one of the product I downloaded from renderosity: It&#39;s zombietaggerung&#39;s one bedroom house. One logfile is the log file of the product when I try to open it, the other is the logfile of the file which is supposedly missing.</p>

<p>As you probably know, there is no skeleton figure for Genesis 3 so I&#39;m trying to make the Victoria 4 Skeleton (<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/v4-skeleton" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/v4-skeleton</a>) fit to it unless there is a better option. I was wondering if there was a way to make the Victoria 4 Skeleton fit to Gensis 3 without warping the skeleton. I&#39;ve tried using the <strong>autofit</strong> feature and selection Victoria 4 as the original figure, but the skeleton ends up getting warped. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>With my c drive getting full I copied my DAZ libary to&nbsp; a new 5TB external hard drive.(600GB+) I added the new base libary and removed the original c drive base libary in Daz and it all worked ok .So then i deleted the original content from the c drive and now daz finds nothing though it will work if i show it where each bit is how can i make DAZ studio only look in the new location?</p>

I just bought mec4ds apocalypse &nbsp;set&nbsp;and none of the presets load the hdri dome Image into the correct location in render settings.&nbsp;I just load it manually from the directory and it works fine but I&#39;m wondering if there is a reason they are not loading up like they should. It isn&#39;t just this set but others as well.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am using M4, with the Creature morphs pack. When I installed the package, for some weird reason, half of the morphs (more than half, actually; closer to 3/4) wound up being sorted into the &quot;Lost and Found&quot; in my Smart Content pane. I didn&#39;t think anything of it; after all, the files were still clearly in my library, there was just something screwy with the metadata so it was having trouble sorting it. Fine, whatever. But then I loaded M4 into the scene, selecting all of my morphs to be included in the pop-up menu so that I could shape him at will. Now, all of a sudden, there was an issue. All of the morphs that landed in the Lost and Found before did NOT port into the figure; the dials for those morphs don&#39;t appear and cannot be used. So I tried going to the Smart Content pane, selecting my M4 figure, and then double-clicking on each of the morphs in an attempt to get each of the morphs to load manually. No dice. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can get this content to work? The missing morphs are MOST of the reason I chose to use M4 for this project, and it&#39;s really disheartening to discover that none of them will port in with the figure.</p>

<p>I just can&#39;t seem to &quot;key&quot; the &quot;Vertical Offset&quot; in the Surfaces tab so that it will animate over time. The slider works just fine - the drops will flow down the characters face...but once adjusted, the Vertical Offset doesn&#39;t seem to be able to be keyed for animation.</p>

<p>What am I missing here? Any help is appreciated! Thank you.</p>

<p>Somebody on DeviantArt asked me if I could make a model for them, seeing their gallery and the quality of renders I said yes, now, sometime later the model of Megan Fox is done, it uses the Genesis 3 base model, but, how do I get her out of Daz and over to him, I mean where and what files do I send, I don&#39;t mean where to send them, I mean where are they? I don&#39;t even know where to start looking for her other than in MyDocuments but that is only 2 files, the DSON&nbsp;and PNG file, How do I pack her up for shipping?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>As usual I&#39;m going to file a bug report but here it is just to help anyone interested.</p>

<p>I noticed that when you change the content folder, DAZ Studio is no longer able to find the correct path to save new files, even if you specify it in the user preferences.</p>

<p>Steps to reprodue the issue:<br />
1) rename the content folder<br />
2) open DAZ Studio and update the content folder (edit &gt; preferences &gt; content &gt; directory manager)<br />
3) restart DAZ Studio<br />
4) create a new scene and try to save it</p>

<p>On step 4 the previously saved assets, such as scene subsets, work fine. This means that the new path works as expected and everything is relative to it as it should be.</p>

<p>Anyway when you try to save a new scene DAZ Studio can&#39;t find the Scene folder and reverts to the program files folder instead. Then you have to select the Scene folder on the new path and the next time DAZ Studio will remember it.</p>

<p>This happens for every new kind of file such as scene subsets, render settings etc. The first time you always have to teach Studio where the folder is. Even if you already specified the new path in the preferences.</p>

<p>This behaviour is very annoying. DAZ Studio should use the new path from the preferences for saving files, without asking the user for every new file type it has to save. This way every time you change the content folder you have to teach Studio everything again.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Garibaldi hair was available with a deep discount, so took the plunge. &nbsp;I knew of the limitations with Iray and found the threads explaining the process; i.e. export as OBJ. &nbsp;But, when I do that, and re-import the OBJ, I get nothing. &nbsp;In inspecting the output file, it was only 51 bytes, so clearly I did something wrong.</p>

<p>Here&#39;s what I did:</p>

<p>* Created a quick Garibaldi Hair node</p>

<p>* Selected that node and did File | Export</p>

<p>* I chose the DAZ Studio scaling (1 unit = 1 cm), set scale to 100% and the following checkboxes were checked (I never changed these, so assuming they&#39;re the factory defaults): &#39;Ignore Invisible Nodes&#39;, &#39;Write UV Coordinates&#39;, &#39;Write Normals&#39;, &#39;Write Object Statements&#39;, &#39;Write Groups&#39; (with Use Existing Groups option selected), &#39;Write Surfaces&#39;, &#39;Write Material Library&#39; (with Original Maps option selected).</p>

<p>I also tried selecting&nbsp;all objects (basically hair and G3 figure) and exported that. &nbsp;Upon re-import, I only get the G3 character.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using DAZ 4.9.2.70 (64-bit)&nbsp;on macOS Sierra.</p>

<p>A 3Delight render works as expected, but I ultimately need Iray. &nbsp;The extra cost (time, RAM) will not be an issue with the Iray renders of the imported OBJs assuming I can get that to work.</p>

<p>I am new to Daz3D but have done a lot of photography. I recently bought Inane Glory&#39;s Photo Studio 3 because it has soft boxes and other classic studio lighting requirements that should allow me to emulate traditional studio lighting techniques better than the lights in DS.</p>

<p>However, I do not understand how I can &quot;turn on&quot; the lights. I understand they will only appear in a render view because they are not really &quot;lights&quot; as such, but nothing else about their use is obvious. I load a lights set into a scene (e.g. Photo Studio Lights X1) and then get stuck - they never illuminate my scene in NVIDIA Iray view and nor can I find any way to change their intensity.</p>

<p>Specifically, how do I get them to illuminate my scene and where are the controls for intensity, angle of spread, etc, analagous with the DS lighting objects? I have found a user&#39;s guide for the original InaneGlory Photo Studio on the internet and it states: &quot;One thing that is noticeably missing from the parameters tab is any kind of light controls. You will need to switch over to the surfaces tab to see those controls.&quot;. I have looked in the surfaces tab and the lights are indeed listed there with a host of properties you can edit (e.g. shadow colour, fall off, etc) but nothing I change here makes any difference to the light not appearing in the rendered scene. There is an &quot;Intensity&quot; property, but changing it to high values also has no effect.</p>

<p>I am using a newly built Windows 10 x64 computer with 32GB of RAM, an I7 Intel CPU and an nVidia GTX 1080 graphics card, so there is plenty of processing power. I can light and render scenes using DS studio lights and am otherwise slowly finding my way around Daz3D, but it seems I am missing something obvious with Photo Studio 3 and its lighting concepts. I have looked all over the internet for a manual or instructions or other assisance but have had no luck in working this out. Can anybody in this forum help me out?</p>

<p>I have a noob-problem and I dont find a solution anywhere for that.<br />
So sorry if the problem is known and solved.</p>

<p>I want to render a scene from outside. I have a envoirement, switched the cam to outside with view to the entrance.</p>

<p>The problem is, everything is to bright.</p>

<p>Inside the envoirement it looks very nice. But outside there is to much light.<br />
How can I change that?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m using DS 4.6.3.52 Pro Edition on a Win8 box. I also&nbsp;use DS 2.3.3.146 on a Win7 box (yes, I&#39;m old).</p>

<p>I mostly use Gen 3 and earlier figures; they were my go-to in 2.3, and thus far they seem to behave themselves in 4.6. However, I&#39;ve run into a problem with the CatsuitPM for Aiko 3: when I load the catsuit and fit it to Aiko, something strange happens with the left and right buttocks per the attached screengrab. I don&#39;t appear to have this problem with the regular catsuit, but I&#39;m using the PM version because it was easier to draw the texture I had designed onto the PM version&#39;s&nbsp;texture map.</p>

<p>My goal is to create a shader based on the Iray Uber Base shader which will introduce a fresnel darkening at the surfaces approaching perpendicar to the view angle.</p>

<p>1)&nbsp; I started by creating a sphere and applying Iray Uber Base. Then I imported the sphere material into the Shader Mixer.</p>

<p>2)&nbsp; I inserted an Edge Blend brick.</p>

<p>3)&nbsp; I created a new User Parameter float named &quot;Attenuation&quot; and connected it to the Attenuation input of the Edge Blend brick.</p>

<p>4)&nbsp; I disconnected the User Parameters : Base Color from the Base Color Map and connected it instead to the Edge Blend : Inner Color input. I left the Outer Color at Black</p>

<p>5)&nbsp; Then I attempted to connect the Edge Blend color output to the Base Color Map : Image input, but the Shader Mixer wouldn&#39;t let me make the connection.</p>

<p>Can you help me with this? It&#39;s much appreciated!</p>

<p>I have a fairly recent computer, with an I74790 CPU, 3.60Ghz, 16 Go RAM, and NVida GeForce GT610 graphic card.</p>

<p>When I render stills in Daz it takes all my CPU power, and quite some time.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been trying to render a very small - my first - animation, with lots of lights and shadows ( I know that&#39;s aggravating) and it&#39;s been going on for nearly 3 days now.</p>

<p>I know there are some things in rendering setup that I can improve. But still, I feel like my computer could use a boost.</p>

<p>What do you think would be key for programs such as Daz or Blender, and what improvements would you suggest, on the smallest possible budget ?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Due to other reasons, I have to re-install DAZ Studio from scratch.</p>

<p>I&#39;m on Windows 10, and I normally use my User account, which does not have admin privileges. So, when I went to install DAZ3DIM, I got a UAC window. I entered my admin password, and then launched DAZ3DIM and it pretty much worked as expected. But, it launched as admin, and I don&#39;t generally want DAZ3DIM to have admin permissions. Before this reinstallation, I had no problem running DAZ3DIM sometimes as User and sometimes as Admin depending on circumstances.</p>

<p>When I attempt to run DAZ3DIM as User, I receive four popup windows and it won&#39;t run. Generally, the messages are of the form:</p>

<p>DAZ3DIM.exe - System Error</p>

<p>The code execution cannot proceed because QtNetwork4.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem &lt;OK&gt;</p>

<p>The other dll&#39;s it cannot find are: dzcmsconnector.dll, QtGui4.dll, QtXml4.dll.</p>

<p>This is DAZ3DIM version 1.1.0.71</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I always liked the little feature in content manager where you could right click the menu to &quot;<em>Browse to Folder Location</em>&quot;&nbsp; Came in handy running down a missing file or to verify a particular asset was where it should have been.</p>

<p>For about a month no that has not worked. Does nothing at all when I click it. All the other options in that menu work fine such as delete, rename etc.</p>

<p><strong>Any clue why it stopped working and how to fix it?</strong>&nbsp; ( DS. 4.9, Win 7 x64 )&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is there some setting that may be messed up and if so where would I check?</p>
