      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently purchased a 3D printer. I have successfully exported to OBJ and FBX files in the past. I do not recall when the last version of Studio was, but I think I was able to do this in the previous one.</p>

<p>I am currently running 4.9.4.122.&nbsp; I am pretty sure I was exporting okay with the previous release. I have been trying to export to these formats again but the program keeps stopping around 85% complete according to the dialog box.</p>

<p>This is a simple figure, G1F with a simple base and prop.</p>

<p>Is anyone else having any export issues and does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the issue?</p>

<p>I also lock up when trying to send the figure to Hexagon.</p>

<p>I have Maya LT and Blender. Anyone have any idea if I can import my DAZ figure into those programs?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Up Front: &nbsp; This is for creating art, not&nbsp;creating any sort of product. &nbsp;I have no idea if this is possible. &nbsp;If it is not, I apologize for the&nbsp;noise.</p>

<p>What I want to do: &nbsp;I want to somehow modify Genesis mesh, to include the shape of an atricle&nbsp;of worn clothing, and then autofit (autofollow) a second article of clothing so that it forms to the shape of the first article of clothing and Genesis mesh. &nbsp;Example,. G3F, put a tank top on. &nbsp; Put a T-shirt on and have the T-shirt confrom to G3F and the tank top. &nbsp;Result, the T-shirt is slightly deformed by the shape of the tank top beneath. &nbsp;(Like in Real Life. ) You see the outlien&nbsp;of the tank top in the t-Shirt shape, (not just transparency)</p>

<p>I am not trying to fix poke through or related problems. &nbsp;(BTW, Fit Control is a great product for that) &nbsp; I want the second article to collide with the Tank top and the Genesis Body. &nbsp;I do not want to use dynamic clothing for this. (I know how to use dynamic clothing.). &nbsp;I was thinking of geografting, though, I am not sure I can graft and article of clothing onto a figure (vertices would not be the same when I imported it.). And, I was hoping there was an easier way than geografting. &nbsp; &nbsp;In the past I have exported the figure with the&nbsp;clothing as a single OBJ for use in Marvelous Designer and used the cloth simulator to drape the created clothing for a static position and render. THe probelm there is any changes to the pose and I have to do the whole process over. &nbsp;I was hoping for a way to do this in Daz, or at least beable to repose in Daz.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>Summary: &nbsp;I would like, if possible, to create a modified G3F (or any recent Genesis figure) so that it includes the shape&nbsp;of a worn article of clothing (item A) so when clothing item B is worn, it autofits to the underlying shape. Possible?&nbsp;Options? Discussion?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I get an error message when loading Victoria 8, Victoria 8 HD,&nbsp;PD Duffy HD for V8, (and maybe others in the V8 realm...I don&#39;t know as I haven&#39;t tried them yet). I click &quot;Ok&quot; on the error message dialogue box and the figure seems to load okay (not sure if anything is missing or not).</p>

<p>The error message is:</p>

<p><strong>Some assets needed to load the file were missing. The content may not work as expected.</strong></p>

<p>I uninstalled Victoria 8 and reinstalled it, but I still get this error message. Anyone else experience this, and, if so, what did you do to fix the problem? I have no idea what the &quot;olivia.duf&quot; file is or where to find it if it&#39;s not part of the Victoria 8 files set.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This started in the last three days. There is an error that prevents daz&nbsp;from releasing the gpu memory. So after doing a test render or two the memory can be 95 percent full and then Iray&nbsp;won&#39;t use the gpu anymore. The only solution I know of is to close studio&nbsp;and the memory is released. I guess I need a solution that prevents the memory issue or a way to clear the nvidia&nbsp;1050ti ram without closing Daz.</p>

<p>p.s. currently it&#39;s not possible for me to restart daz remotely, so that just isn&#39;t an option. I have posted a separate question about that.</p>

<p>Here is the error message I think points to the problem:</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m combining renders made of my figures in Daz and backgrounds in Cinema 4D.&nbsp; I tried to use the autodesk FBX format to export cameras into Cinema 4d.&nbsp; Its a bit &#39;interesting&#39; lining things up but I think I got that down.&nbsp; The problem is focal length, focal width and basically all things focal.&nbsp; The camera lense controls in Daz are different from those in Cinema 4D.&nbsp; Can someone who speaks Cinema 4D camera controls tell me something magical and simple to match the cameras.&nbsp; Even slight changes make massive differences in photoshop when I&#39;m stitching things together.&nbsp; And I&#39;m not even dealing with lights yet!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi Daz Community, this is my first post. That being said, I have been using DAZ Studio since they released 2.0. Love the versatility, the store content,&nbsp; plus I think iray is great. All that aside I recently had to buy a new computer and that means I had to reinstall Daz 4.9. Well I have done so but my viewport is cut off so I can&#39;t see the actual focus of the camera. I have attached a screenshot showing what is happening. I am currently running&nbsp; the latest version of Daz 4.9, I used the insall manager to download,&nbsp; install..etc. I am running Windows 7 and have a Amd graphics card (I can render with no problems). I am hoping to fix the viewport issue. If anyone has experinced something similar&nbsp; or knows about the issue and can point me int the right direction I&#39;d appreciate it. <p>I have purchased some beautiful sets/environments for use in my DAZ, which come with pre-set camera&#39;s, to speed up the work flow... Only if I try to view anything with one of those presets, it&#39;s black, I mean really devoid of anything, I can see things highlight when I pass my mouse over them but I can&#39;t see to work on my figures or anything that would help me use these provided camera&#39;s for the render...&nbsp;</p>

<p>Can someone help me figure out what I&#39;m doing wrong? &nbsp;Or what I need to do to be able to use these cameras? &nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I was doing some experiments with genesis 3 in Poser, (the G3 figure and a converted hair from G2). It workes nice and dson can transfer the G3&#39;s morphs into the hair. But it does so only for the DAZ provided morphs. I&#39;ve added a custom morph to the G3 head, but DSON does not want to bring this custom morph into the hair figure. It is simply ignored.&nbsp; Is there a restriction to the set of morphs that the morph transfer supports? Is there anything I can do to let dson transfer my custom morph?</p>

<p>a posable character in place in such a way where if I grab a limb to manually move it,</p>

<p>only it moves and nothing else ?</p>

<p>I know I can move limbs that way from the side menu.</p>

<p>I want to know if I can isolate a moveable section on a character, easily, so the universal tool would be more useful in posing.</p>

<p>Currently when I use it, it tends to yang everything out of place, not just the limb I grab.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have clothing mesh (cardigan) and each component (collar, pockets, sleeves, etc.) is a seperate surface. &nbsp;All the surfaces share the same UV coordinates, and the texture map is a single map.</p>

<p>I need to consolidate those surfaces into a single surface, yet still maintain the UV cordinates,so I can use existing maps.</p>

<p>So far I have tried the following: export as an OBJ *without* using &quot;write groups&quot; and &quot;write surfaces&quot;. &nbsp;Then re-importing the OBJ into DAZ. &nbsp;This creates a single surface mesh with the same UV co-ordinates and works great. However when I try to use the Transfer Utility to convert the OBJ to a wearable it gets all screwed up (more about that later).</p>

<p>Is there another way? &nbsp;Can I combine all the survaces in the tool settings? &nbsp;Any suggestions would be appreciated.</p>

<p>Why do I need this? &nbsp;The Iclone cloth-physics doesn&#39;t work with multisurface mesh -- it&#39;s complicated, just trust me on this. &nbsp;I need a single surface mesh. :-0</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I love batch render but I&#39;m running into an issue with some of the renders. It seems that some of the hairs I use now are fiber mesh and when the scene file loads there is about a 5 to 10 second delay applying the hair via autofit. This is enough for the scene to start rendering while the hair is out of place. I am now running into issues with completed renders being finished with the hair halfway imbedded the characters forehead. This only happens with bigger more memory intensive hairs. Any suggestions?</p>

<p>First I exported it out as an OBJ with Poser scale preset.</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to make the lips syncronization working on Daz 3D 32 bits.</p>

<p>I saw several tutorials and it looks very simple, but when I follow the procedure it doesn&#39;t work for me.</p>

<p>&nbsp;I tried with genesis 2, 3 and 8, both male and female and I got always the same error:</p>

<p>&quot;Some channels defined in the current configuration file could not be found on the figure. Lip-synching may not be as accurate as expected. See the log file for details.&quot;</p>
