      <description><![CDATA[<p>Downloaded <strong>DAZStudio 4.10</strong> using DIM to my <em>MacBook Pro</em>.&nbsp; When trying to bring Figures into the scene from the &quot;<strong>Smart Content</strong>&quot; tab a pop-up says: &quot;<strong>Could not open file: /People/Genesis 2 Female/Genesis 2 Base Female.duf&nbsp; &nbsp;File does not exist.</strong>&quot;&nbsp; However, when I go to that directory the file does exisit.&nbsp; Anyone know of a fix??</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Been puzzling this one.&nbsp; I used Teen Princess Leila for G3F eyebrows on G8F.&nbsp; No problem getting brows to autofit and parent.&nbsp; But for some reason, the brows won&#39;t follow the pose of the figure brow.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve checked about everything.&nbsp; I can only think that I must be missing an autofollow parameter somewhere.</p>

<p>Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>It used to be when I placed a point light in a scene it emitted light, but the little sphere&nbsp;representing the light didn&#39;t actually render. Now it does, so if I place a point light on a candle flame, my flame ends up looking like a light bulb due to the sphere showing. What do I need to do to make it invisible again without eliminating the lighting effect? This has been going on for at least a year, I&#39;m just now getting around to mentioning it since it&#39;s really messing up my current image.&nbsp;In case it&#39;s important, I&#39;m using DS 4.9 on a Windows 10 box.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve read through the thread about saving morphs done in Zbrush.&nbsp; But, my specific question is, &quot;Is it possible to export and obj from a Dformed hair in Daz and re-import it through Morph Loader Pro, and then save it as a morph asset for that hair?&quot;</p>

<p>Many really nice hair models just don&#39;t come with enough shaping morphs to suit me.&nbsp; So, after doing all the work to Dform the hair into the shape I like, I&#39;d like to be able to save it as a morph dial for future use.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&rsquo;ve seen discussions of clothing not working with dForce because &ldquo;seams aren&rsquo;t welded.&rdquo; I understand, conceptually, the issue - if a pocket, say, is to be simulated as part of a garment, it must actually be connected to the garment. If it isn&rsquo;t, of course it&rsquo;s going to fall off. As Robin Williams said in one of his routines, &ldquo;Oh, ****, gravity works!&rdquo;</p>

<p>But is &ldquo;welding&rdquo; a specific operation? Can one take a garment that has such an issue and &ldquo;weld&rdquo; the parts together? And if so, how? Or is this just modeling nomenclature for &ldquo;these two surfaces share the same vertices?&rdquo;</p>

<p>Somehow i get the feeling there is something wrong with the way Daz 4.1 handles the iray viewport.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Back in the older versions i could hit the render button and pause render ... the usual way ... start after this a fast loading iray preview in the viewport.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However ... since i updated to 4.10 i have the feeling that the iray viewport render adds to gfx memory consumption.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Lets say i have a 7gb scene (11gb memory avaiable) it starts like it always did the iray render ... but when i try to switch the viewport to iray it switches to cpu back ...</p>

<p>Did somebody observe this too?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello all -&nbsp;</p>

<p>I just ran into a strange problem - my PowerPose pane has become permanently undockable. I need to drag the tab into another dockable tab group, but I can&#39;t drag from the tab at all - only from the title bar. And even then, I can&#39;t dock the pane anywhere.&nbsp;I made sure I&#39;m using the right version for my version of DS (4.9.4.117 Pro 64-Bit). It had been fine up until about a week ago, and it is still working fine in the version on my laptop. I didn&#39;t change anything that I know of. so I&#39;m not sure what could have happened.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&rsquo;ve applied the breathing aniblocks to my G2 figure (Michael 6), but they don&rsquo;t seem to be working. Also,&nbsp;I can&rsquo;t seem to even preview the action when I scrub through the various options.&nbsp;I&rsquo;ve even applied several&nbsp;options and did a test render. There was no apparent effect. When I apply any of the eye blinking blocks, however, I can definitely see their actions, and they definitely render.</p>

<p>To start, my character, has an overall aniblock&nbsp;applied from Bonus Wizard Combat Bones. I&rsquo;m trying to add breathing and blinking to the action. The blinking works well. The breathing, not so much. I&rsquo;ve tried simply adding the block on a sub track, and I&rsquo;ve tried overriding the abdomen area with the breathing block, but still nothing works. This is my first time ever working with aniblocks, so I wouldn&rsquo;t be surprised if it is simply user error, but any guidance would be hugely appreciated.</p>

Before this issue came up I was just able to just click save and it would overwrite that file automatically..</p>

<p>I bought&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/wet-sweat-rain-for-genesis-2-female-s">Legacy UVs for G3: V6</a>&nbsp;and also&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/wet-sweat-rain-for-genesis-2-female-s">Wet skin for G2F</a>. I render in 3Delight.&nbsp;What I want to do is apply this Wet Skin on a skin texture made for G3F (and not a skin texture for G2F).</p>

<p>Can anyone tell me how to do this?&nbsp;All the forum topics I see here are about users trying to get a wet skin applied on V4/G2F texture transferred to G3F - which is pretty straightforward, first load V4/G2F, load the V4/G2F skin, apply the Wet Skin for V4/G2F, save as material&nbsp;preset, then apply the preset through the Legacy UVs product. However I&#39;m trying to apply the Wet Skin for G2F product on a G3F skin texture, like say a skin texture that came with a character set for G3F. Any possible way to do this?</p>

<p>I&#39;m using a G3F model that seems to err all of a sudden. First I fit a pair of socks and everything&#39;s working fine, then after a while (edit: after I close and reopen the scene)&nbsp;the socks suddenly goes out of place like the attachment shows. I made no adjustments whatsoever, it just goes out of place. I look at the adjustment morphs - both hidden and seen on the socks but nothing I do corrects the shape. And this isn&#39;t the socks&#39; problem, when I load another distinct pair of socks it assumes the weird look in the attachment here.</p>

<p>What&#39;s going on?</p>

<p>Edit, it&#39;s caused by a custom morph application. I&#39;m corresponding with the creator to get it resolved.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Yesterday I downloaded D/S 4.10 and tried some renders.&nbsp; Oddly, no matter what lights I set up or whether I toggled the little lightbulb in the lighting tab on or off, the lighting was bright, when what I was going for was a moody Halloween render with dim lighting from pumpkins with emissive insides and a dim spotlight.&nbsp; I used to be able to do things like that, but no matter what I tried the render came out bright as day.<br />
<br />
I also tried two totally different scenes without emissive lights but with subtle lighting.&nbsp; Both came out as if the sun were stuck at noon on a cloudless day.<br />
<br />
I tried a single spotlight and also a couple of purchased sets with dim lighting, and I dimmed the lights to almost nothing.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />
<br />
It&#39;s not as if I&#39;m a newbie who has never done darkened scenes with dramatic lighting before, but now that I&#39;ve installed 4.10 I don&#39;t know what I&#39;m doing anymore.<br />

What am I doing wrong, please?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been through a lot of forum material. There are ubiquitious basic quesitons&nbsp;that&nbsp;saturate this subject.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m attempting a bellydance animation for a genesis 2 female. I&#39;m using genesis 2 because genesis 3 and 8 (which I&#39;ve spent the most money on) wiggle through the red pins. Genesis and genesis 2 are the only figures that pin correctly.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Goal: Basic Shimmy and&nbsp;figure 8.&nbsp;</p>

<p>My sister is a bellydance instructor and I wanted to make her a short animation. (the girl in the video is not my sister. please don&#39;t ask for her phone number. ;)</p>

<p>I can fake my way through the chest islolation parts with the purlpe pins because the whole upper body is in motion&nbsp;but, PURPLE PINS&nbsp;are not BONE pins and they do not lock the feet properly. Feet on the floor dont move, not even a little.&nbsp;</p>

<p>My quesiton: Using the ACTIVE POSE TOOL, can you bring up a rotation tool for direct manipulation like the shift button gives you control of the up down right left tool? I can&#39;t leave the active pose tool to grab the normal rotation tool or any other tool, Daz deselects the active pose data.&nbsp;I&#39;m sure there&#39;s a good reason for this as code can be a cruel mistress. Also the rotation tool in the upper left of the screen ignores the pins completely even if you&#39;re on the active pose menu.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ultimately I&#39;d love for Daz3D to be a one stop shop. Not to reshape and texture like zbrush and blender. I just want to use the Daz3D for animating since it IS part of Daz studio already. I&#39;d even like&nbsp;to purchase graphMate and keyMate but not if I can&#39;t navigate past this hurtle first. Ooooorr... Can I fix this problem with either of those addons? Is there something I missed completely?&nbsp; I&#39;d love to be wrong here.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m using Studio 4.9.</p>

<p>I installed some cool characters from renderosity.com but I used to forget how to locate them. So I began saving them as character presets. But then I decided to change the angle of the characters icon, but the old one remained. So thru my windows explorer I renamed the PNG file because I thought the duf.png was MY error when I thought to rename them the first time.</p>

<p>That&#39;s when the triangles appeared. I deleted the the Icons from C:\Users\....\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\Presets\Characters resaved the characters and the triangles still remain.</p>

<p>Is there a way to remove them?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been getting the Duplicate Files Found error everytime I attempt to load a saved G3F model for a little over a week, now. I was&nbsp;<em>not</em>&nbsp;getting this error before that, and I did not update to 4.10 until after I started getting the error. I have uninstalled and deleted all the basic G3 files that I have- I <em>think</em>- not including poses and clothes, but that did not help. Checking the log file, this is a sample of the error I get:</p>

<p>2017-10-27 11:51:47.725 WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(5970): Duplicate formula found linking yOrigin &amp; XID_Genesis3Male in L:/My DAZ 3D Library/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 3/Female/Morphs/My_User_Name/Product/alias_Genesis3Female_XID_Genesis3Male.dsf.</p>

<p>There are, I kid you not, literally&nbsp;<em>hundreds&nbsp;</em>of lines like that, all nearly identical.</p>

<p>I have read the file regarding when Genesis was seeing this error, but I&#39;m not certain how to effect the solution suggested there; for one thing, I simply lack the technical know-how. At this point, I&#39;m trying to find the easiest solution short of dropkicking my computer through a window.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried to make a scene with a character (G8F) trapped inside a block of a semi-transparent substance, but when I render it seems Iray cannot make a decent transistion between the solid body and the transparent block. The render always shows up with a line of invisible dots along the transitions.&nbsp;I&#39;ve tried to make the block a variety of substances (water, ice, wax, rubber, etc) but with the same result each time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The attached image is a cutout of the whole render (it&#39;s kinda explicit :O) but you can see the white line of transparent dots.</p>

<p>Does anyone know how to fix this or why it&#39;s happening? It does not occur if the block is solid.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Can a Character created in DazStudio be converted to an OBJ file that would open in Kotobee-Author software?&nbsp; (which has an option to load 3d OBJ files in interactive ebooks)</p>

<p>I haven&#39;t located any information that suggests that a .duf file can be converted to OBJ, so I&#39;m trying to establish if one can or not.</p>

<p>It would be nice to be able to use some of my DazStudio content in Kotobee Author&#39;s 3d panel.</p>

<p>I&#39;m guessing...that isn&#39;t possible?</p>
