<p>Is it possible for me to somehow import a version of this character that I&#39;ve been able to very selectively smooth in a different program, and have that show up in Daz as one of my resolution levels?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi and thanks in advance for reading.</p>

<p>I have G3F with a custom body morph that I made in ZBrush. I recently bought a G2F clothing item and want to morph the clothes so that they fit my custom body morph. I&#39;ve done this process for other items and never encountered this issue until today. I&#39;ve redone all my work for a second time and don&#39;t want to do it a third if possible, so i&#39;m hoping someone can spot what I may be missing or what&#39;s going wrong. These are the steps I followed:</p>

<p>1) load my figure (saved as a scene subset).</p>

<p>2) load the clothing item from the vendor&#39;s folder like normal. Since it&#39;s a G2F item I get the auto-fit popup. I select Genesis 2 Female/None and the clothing autofits. My custom figure&#39;s morph shows in the clothing parameters as expected.</p>

<p>3) From Scene tab I Fit the clothing to None so that it is no longer a child of the figure, but my custom figure&#39;s morph still shows in the parameters (at zero percent).</p>

<p>4) Drag the clothing to the figure so it is a child, but not autofit. This is so I can export the figure and clothing together into ZBrush with GoZ</p>

<p>5) Select the figure and hit GoZ. In ZBrush&nbsp;do the altering to the clothing.</p>

<p>6) Go back to Daz and re-autofit the clothing</p>

<p>7) Got back to ZBrush and hit&nbsp;GoZ, making sure to rename&nbsp;the morph as the same name as my custom figure morph, pick my custom folder it is in, and set as Delta with ERC</p>

<p>8) Back in Daz the clothing changes as expected to my new morph from ZBrush - all is good so far.</p>

<p>9) File &gt; Save As &gt; Support Asset &gt; Morph Asset(s). Fill in Vendor and Product and check the box for my morph</p>

<p>10) Save the scene</p>

<p>At this point I closed Daz and ZBrush, did other stuff, etc. When I came back a few hours later&nbsp;I opened the scene&nbsp;but the clothing&nbsp;looks like the autofit did before I saved my ZBrush morph. Thinking I messed something up and didn&#39;t save the morph asset correctly I checked the directory in my library&nbsp;but it was there under the Vendor/Product info I had used.</p>

<p>Not knowing what to do I deleted the directory where my morph was stored (my vendor folder, product folder, and the .dsf morph) and started completely from scratch.</p>

<p>At this moment I&#39;ve repeated all my steps, my custom morph for&nbsp;the clothing looks exactly like I intend (did a better job the 2nd time lol), but i&#39;m paranoid so I want to test stuff.</p>

<p>I have verified my morph asset is in the vendor/product folder under the data directory of the clothing item. I saved the clothing&nbsp;as both as a Wearable(s) Preset and as a Character Preset. I also exported the clothing as an OBJ (base resolution) using default settings and saved my ZBrush Document.</p>

<p>I then loaded another copy of the figure and applied the Wearable item, but it loads as if my morph isn&#39;t there and looks like the autofit again. I delete it and try the Character preset and it loads but pops up the autofit dialog. If I accept the autofit (G2 Female/None) it also looks like the&nbsp;autofit without&nbsp;my morph applied.</p>

<p>Now the kicker... this clothing item I bought has a top and bottom. The failing part is the top. I did all the same steps for the bottom - exactly the same - and the bottoms load just fine with my morph as a Wearable and look totally fine.</p>

<p>Any help anyone has would be appreciated!</p>

<p>What are the steps to rendering a Daz scene in a mirror?&nbsp; (So I can use the 360 degree camera?)</p>

<p>I actually tried to do this without the Small World Camera, but my own camera did not alter the picture as it did in the tutorial video.&nbsp; Nothing happened, as my last attachment shows.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okat, I just tried to buy three items in the &quot;Choose 3 Daz Original Props&quot; offer.&nbsp; Two of them are getting set to free, one of them is simply getting its price further lowered. The item &quot;i13 Winter Fun Pose Collection for the Genesis 3 Female(s)&quot; is showing up as $5.81 when it should be $0.00 like the other two selected Daz Original Props.&nbsp; What the...?&nbsp; oO</p>

<p>edited to add: I gave up on the item and swapped it out for another item from the offer, figuring I&#39;d come back to it later.&nbsp; Came back to try it again with another i13 item from the &quot;Chose 3 Daz Original Props&quot; list.... and that one isn&#39;t getting set to free, either.&nbsp; Specifically, &quot;i13 Confessional&quot; is not getting processed to free, while one of the other items is.</p>

<p><span>&nbsp;Is something borked about i13 items?</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, so I&#39;ve been going over this and going over this a lot and I&#39;m just not getting anywhere.</p>

<p>I have an old runtime and I can&#39;t get it to install no matter what I do. I go to the &quot;Poser Formats&quot; and click &quot;Add Runtime Directory&quot; and navigate to my old Runtime and what I get is a &quot;MY RUNTIME&quot; folder with nothing in it.&nbsp; looking on the physical&nbsp;drive there are subfolders, directories, etc... all kinds of stuff... but in Daz, nada, it&#39;s as if Daz simply cannot SEE the files in the Runtime. There is a second runtime inside the runtime (It&#39;s been my runtime since my Poser4 in 1999... so over the last 18 years it&#39;s a little jumbled), so I try to link to THAT Runtime and I get the same thing: I get a folder with &quot;RUNTIME&quot; but nothing underneath... or rather, I get all of the subfolders, but nothing in them, like the folders are empty.&nbsp; When looking in Windows, there are clearly .pp2s<br />

I&#39;ve tried doing this with &quot;Other Import Formats&quot; as well with the same results... I get empty folders...</p>

<p>If I load it into the &quot;DAZ Studio Formats&quot; folder I get anything DAZ, but nothing Poser, so I can at least load all of my DAZ stuff (But of course I can also get a clean reinstall from the Smart Content library as well, so that&#39;s actually not an issue).</p>

<p>Okay, so I get that perhaps Daz has a discrete setup and you have to have Daz materials in the Daz folder and the Poser materials in the Poser directories and maybe after 18 years it&#39;s a good time for me to just do some house cleaning and get all of my models cleaned up (I mean, really... am I ever going to use Posette or the Dork again?!?!? But I DO want to use that cool Star Trek Phaser prop I downloaded in 2002 or the bridge model I made in 2005...)<br />
<br />
So, presuming I have a bunch of just random .pp2s and .objs and stuff... and knowing that I&#39;m going to (in Windows) straighten this out and organize them into a Props directory, a Characters directory, a Textures, Objects, etc...&nbsp;&nbsp;how would I structure it so I could make a &quot;clean&quot; Runtime that Daz could read... and then which Import method should I use that will &quot;read&quot; it into Daz Studio so that I don&#39;t get the &quot;empty folder&quot; syndrome I&#39;ve been getting recently?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve run into some problems when exporting certain figures as .obj for use in 3DS Max. This has happened only with certain earing sets, duplicate objects in a scene, or a certain geographted breast modification for GF8. When the .mtl is written, it will include one set of surfaces but not the identical one. So I end up with an obj that the a complete mesh of the origional daz scene, but a .mtl that leaves those duplicate parts out. I&#39;ve tried different export settings, including all the options for &quot;write groups&quot;. Is there something else I should be doing? It seems like the problem is on the Daz end, not the 3DS Max import settings, but I&#39;m not positive since I don&#39;t know much about UVs. Thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have successfully saved morph assets.&nbsp; But, I just got on today and successfully imported the .obj files and named them to the correct group (BTW, creating a new group doesn&#39;t seem to work, either.).&nbsp; Then, after making sure all the morphs were working correctly, I did &quot;save as morph assets&quot; and checked all the appropriate boxes for my characters.&nbsp; Then I closed and reloaded studio and a G3F.&nbsp; None of my morphs that I just saved are showing up.</p>

<p>Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?</p>

<p>I figured it out...When saving as a Morph Asset, my save directory was defaulting to Connect.&nbsp; But, I use my G3F out of my DIM install.&nbsp; I can&#39;t seem to figure out how to remove the Connect installed G3F.&nbsp; Anyway, after I changed the directory to MyDaz3D Library, the morphs showed up.</p>

<p>DOH!&nbsp; Hope this keeps someone else from pulling all their hair out. :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>After downloading the add-on (Dynamic Damage) for Dystopian&nbsp;Worker Drone, I noticed that Dynanic Damage was not applying the texture (a rusty texture, for example) to the Drone.</p>

<p>(see attachments)</p>

<p>I tried 32-bit and 64-bit 4.9, and also 4.10 Public versions, and still got the same results.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>As you can see (attachment 4), the most that was accomplished, was additional texture and color to eye and lower face.&nbsp; Other selections produced a blank head and face.(I never could get the rust texture to apply).</p>

<p>In fact, the body textures are not applying, either.</p>

<p>Has anyone else encountered this issue?&nbsp; &nbsp;What can be done to fix it?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Earlier today, I fired up Daz Studio, and at launch it gave me some message about how my path had changed, and I needed to re-authenticate.&nbsp; I dutifully typed in my password again into DS, it thanked me for choosing DS,&nbsp;and then continued on as normal.&nbsp; Since then I&#39;ve&nbsp;quit out of DS and launched it again a couple more times without it giving any further such requests.&nbsp; It simply launched like normal.</p>

<p>After my first session in DS after that strange message, though,&nbsp;I went to fire up DAZ Install Manager, and noticed the password field in the DIM login pane was empty.&nbsp; I plugged my password in, clicked the Start button, it behaved as normal after that, and I proceeeded to have it download and install all my recent buys.</p>

<p>A little while later, I fired up DIM again, and&nbsp;the password field was yet again blank, even though I have the Remember Me checkbox set.&nbsp; Every time since then that I&#39;ve launched DIM, it has given&nbsp;me an empty&nbsp;password field.&nbsp; Any idea what&#39;s going on here?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Never had a problem with this before, but for some reason now, with a client anxious for their images, I can&#39;t get it to work. Isn&#39;t that the way life always seems to work? Haha. Anyway, here&#39;s what I&#39;ve done, and if someone could give me some advice, I&#39;d appreciate it. I figure I&#39;m probably just missing something deceptively simple.</p>

<p>1. Chose the object I wanted to be the shadowcater, selected it both in the scene tab and the surfaces tab, then applied the advance Iray nodes properties script.</p>

<p>2. Enabled the iray matte function for the selected object.</p>

<p>3. Turned the chosen object&#39;s visibilty off in the scene tab.</p>

<p>4. No shadow appears.&nbsp;</p>

<p>What am I doing wrong? :(</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have the No Suit Morphs for Genesis Male 3. Trouble is that for some odd reason, the legs get darker whenever I attempt an Iray render.</p>

<p>The picture is of the Iray preview, which shows the legs darkening whenever I try to render a no-suit. It&#39;s not matching the rest of the outfit.</p>

<p>How do I fix this? Was this a common problem with the No-Suit?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a character I recently bought at Rendo. Its a character that by the product description can be used with V4, A4, or Genesis (made back in 2012).</p>

<p>The thing is, this figure looks better than most of the figures being made now IMO, but it doesn&#39;t seem to pose so great, and its missing anatomical elements.</p>

<p>Is there a way to convert this figure to Genesis 2 Female so I can have better luck animating and posing it and also use 3rd party anatomical elements with it?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve glanced over some discussions of GenX and UVs and it&#39;s all over my head. I read it and reread it, It doesn&#39;t click for me, I can really only learn by doing.</p>

<p>So is there a simple step by step of what products I need and what I need to do to convert this figure to G2F? And if I convert it, will it retain the same exact shape?</p>

<p>Also, this is the only Genesis female figure I need to convert, so I don&#39;t want to spend a lot of money on this. If it can be done manually with some extra work, I would rather do it that way since I hate to spend a bunch of money for a one-off.</p>

<p>I try to install DSON 64 bit and 32 bit and I get this message (see first attachment):</p>

<p>I installed DSON Manually into Poser pro 2012 and I got this error message (see other attachment):</p>

<p>I isntalled it directly into Runtime and I either got the same message or it started up with it.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Gosh, I really feel stupid but I purchased a basic license to Faveral&#39;s &quot;Medieval Tavern&quot; content and while I can find all the lovely props, but can&#39;t find the building in Studio, even though it&#39;s described on the content page. The presets load but no walls or other architectural elements. I&#39;ve looked everywhere I could think and searched repeatedly on &quot;tavern,&quot; etc. but no luck. Any help would be *greatly* appreciated.</p>

<p>Just recently, about everytime I use DAZ Studio, it seems I have to uninstall it, to re-install it, and then I can open it again, but when I close it out, heaven forbid that I might want to open it again, because this is what I get!!!!!!</p>

<p>Needless to say, I&#39;m getting a little PO&#39;ed about this, it won&#39;t open DS until I un-install, then restart the damn computer, then re-install, just what is going on here?</p>
