      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m checking out the Two Phased Out Bundle (<a href="http://www.daz3d.com/two-phased-out-bundle" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.daz3d.com/two-phased-out-bundle</a>), and I have an idea for a character wearing a mirrored version of the outfit in the bundle. Is there a way to do that within DAZ Studio? I imagine part of it involves exporting the outfit as an OBJ, but what do I do to the outfit afterwards?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am trying to create a skin texture but having some trouble with my output. I have a template or UV map example of how the texture should look like unwrapped.</p>

<p>What I don&#39;t know is how do I get this.</p>

<p>I am including an attachment of the UV map. This is what the final output should look like layout wise.</p>

<p>I have the body mesh and I can get the skin textures on it that I want I think what I need is the way to unwrap it to this kind of UV map.</p>

<p>Or I don&#39;t know what I am talking about and maybe someone can set me on the right path?</p>

<p>Do I use Hexagon? Maya LT or DAZ or Blender? and how do I do it? what the step by step process to get there?</p>

<p>I appreciate any help anyone can provide.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I don&#39;t remember where I saw it but there was a way to get clothing to reset and settle down after posing the figure.</p>

<p>you would do something, and the clothing would lift up then you did something else and it would drape down</p>

<p>naturally again.</p>

<p>it had something to do with Daz Studio animation tools (that I do not use in my work)</p>

<p>if someone knows what I am talking about and could fill me in, that would be cool</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m really beginning to HATE DAZ Studio 4.10. I have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS since I upgraded. Here&#39;s the basic history:</p>

<p>1) Started crashing while trying to render (never had this problem before).</p>

<p>2) I lost the universal tool. Well, it lets me rotate things, but that&#39;s about it.</p>

<p>3) Then it lost its ability to recognize different DAZ figures in the Pose Room. Basically, I would click on a figure and DAZ would just show me every possible pose available. With that many poses, most of the G8 poses simply didn&#39;t appear there at all.</p>

<p>4) After waiting a month and not getting ANYWHERE with DAZ help (reported the universal tool problem back on October 30th), I decided to try to go ahead and reinstall DAZ to see if that would help. Only this time, it not only didn&#39;t help it basically crashed DAZ. Now, anytime I try to run DAZ it never opens. Basically, it tries to connect to CMS and then gets hung up on &quot;Upgrading CMS...&quot; After 2.5 hours of this last night, I finally gave up.</p>

<p>5) Today, I tried again. I&#39;ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling DAZ in multiple ways to see if that helped. Big Nope! Even tried running it as and administrator. Still Nope.</p>

<p>6) My biggest frustration came today when after telling DAZ everything that I was doing to try to just get DAZ to open now, I get a message saying my tech person was pulled away on another project. What!? I&#39;m sorry, but I&#39;ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars at DAZ. I&#39;m beyond upset at this point with their apparent lack of technical support. Now, I have a bunch of content and I can&#39;t even run the software. GRRRRR!!!!!!! I&#39;m sorry, but this is beyond horrible customer service. I get a delay every now and then, but this is beyond that. Why do I get the feeling that DAZ 4.10 simply wasn&#39;t ready for prime time yet.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>OK, I was doing a project in iRay, but the iRay renderer takes over 6 hours per frame.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>So... I am switching the whole thing back to 3Delite</p>

<p>But... now my &quot;texture shaded&quot; working window is always dark, so I cranked my light source multiplier up to 1 million (with no effect on the preview).</p>

<p>Of course 3DLite rendered that like the inside of a supernova.</p>

<p>Do I have to do something to remove all those iRay Shaders from my objects and figures?&nbsp; Is that what&#39;s causing me to edit in the dark and render in the sun?&nbsp; Basically how do I get what&#39;s rendered close to what&#39;s on the edit window, so I can use DAZ to - you know - make arts!</p>

<p>My preferred solution is to make it so I can light the scene in the design window.&nbsp; Right now with one light, this is as bright as it gets.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Running Studio 4.1 (BETA) on Windows 7 X64 with dual NVidia cards GeForce GTX 650 Ti(s).&nbsp; Latest graphic card drivers from NVidia are installed.&nbsp; Every time I try a simulation (tried Vagabond Dress (just the skirt), Hellenic Chiton--newer items, not old stuff), it starts the simulation and then the video display driver crashes Studio anywhere from 5-10 minutes into the simulation.&nbsp; If this is sytem resource related, what the Hell kind of specs are required to run dForce?&nbsp; Finding dForce rather useless at this point.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Imported the eyelashes from G8F base resolution, created the morph, imported onto G8F and the eyelash morph at first seems successful. However the eye moisture is scaling with the morph dial (please see attached) as the eye lashes have the morph applied correctly. Notice before I export from max the eye moisture vertices have not been touched. However, after successfully importing and applying to G8F eyelashes, it looks as if the dial applying the morph correctly to the lashes but for some reason scales the eye moisture when I do not want it to do. If I import the morph as an .obj into the scene, the moisture is the correct size.</p>

<p>some setting in DAZ is causing the morph to scale everything vs just applying the morph to the lashes.</p>

<p>I have set dial limits from 0% to 100% and have autofollow checked in the parameters tab for the morph. Am I missing something? Please Help?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Upon rendering any character, using any hair, the &quot;Basic OpenGL&quot; makes the hair become see-through.&nbsp; How can I fix this issue so the hair remains visible when it&#39;s done being rendered?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Also, how can you turn off the shadows when rendering in &quot;NVIDIA Iray&quot;?</p>

I must do the "fit to" the character and it does snap to the character. The dress looks great on but when I render, patches of her skin shows thru. I have tried more light, less light, changing body part scale, turning to different angles but always the same - different little patches of skin show thru the dress.

<p>I have a huge problem in DAZ Studio 4.9. I&#39;m kind of new to this software, been using it for about 2 months now. The problem concerns my models. For example, lets take Annelies for Olympia 7. In the product description she looks like this:&nbsp;</p>

<p>But when I add her to my scene her 3D model looks really distorted, like this:</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m having an issue with Iray rendering.</p>

<p>I have the image ready to render &amp; I can see this image in the &#39;Texture Shaded&#39; mode in the &#39;Viewport&#39; window&nbsp;but when I change that to &#39;NVDIA Iray&#39;, I just get a blank screen. This happens for any &amp; every&nbsp;&#39;View&#39;, &#39;Camera&#39; or &#39;Spotlight&#39;.</p>

<p>If I try a render, the rendering process stalls &amp; I have to force the program to close to stop the rendering process. I am not aware of changing any of the settings from my usual settings.</p>

<p>I have tried turning off individual components within the project to see if one of them is causing the issue but without any luck.</p>

<p>I have since opened up other recent made files &amp; they work just fine!</p>

<p>I have observed this before when opening up &amp; trying to render a DAZ file made several years ago in an earlier version of the software.</p>

<p>I have attached a copy of the DAZ file with this issue...no, the file isn&#39;t uploading!...okay, I have that file available but not sure how to get it to you.</p>

<p>Any suggestions?</p>

<p>OS: Window 10 64-bit x64-based processor</p>

<p>DAZ 3D Studio Version: 4.10.0.107 Pro (64-bit)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I normally use IRAY except when I can&#39;t get the lighting properly worked out. I then switch to 3Delight. However, I noticed that it seems to take FOREVER to process hair. It doesn&#39;t seem to matter which hair I use (male or female or which style) and which generation, it just takes forever. I am currently running a rendering job that is taking 24+ hours and it is STUCK on the hair. Once it gets passed the hair portion, the rest of the scene renders in under a minute.</p>

<p>First 10% takes 24+ hours (because of the hair) and the remaining 90% renders in under 60 seconds. The same scene in IRAY takes about an hour.</p>

<p>Am I doing something wrong? Is this a known problem? Is there a way to speed things up? Thanks in advance for any replies.</p>

I have no clue why that list is empty for me, anybody here have any advise on how I get that list to populate?</span></p>

<p>Geometry Editor Selection -</p>

<p>I have two Genesis 8 Male characters in the same scene - Genesis 8 Male and Tyrone (also a Genesis 8 Male) -</p>

<p>a) I turn on the Geometry Editor</p>

<p>b) I select Tyrone in the Scene tab</p>

<p>c) I Marquee select thigh &#39;poke-through&#39; of the Tyrone&#39;s thighs through the pants he is wearing.</p>

<p>d) If I accidently select some of the neighboring Genesis 8 Male character, despite that I have him not selected in the Scene tab, the marquee selection will select some of that model&#39;s geometry as well! That is a bug and not a feature as I understand it.</p>

<p>e) Same principal for other models in the scene - eg - I want to hide some of the Law Enforcement boots both characters are wearing - only selecting one pair of those boots in the Scene tab doesn&#39;t prevent me from selecting geometry from both pairs of boots. That is a bug.</p>

<p>That happens&nbsp;in DAZ Studio Public Beta 4.10.0.118 64 bit and probably earlier versions too.</p>

<p>I will submit this as a bug unless someone says there is good reason it works that way.</p>

So first I wanna thank y&#39;all for your help! ;) I&#39;m trying to conform a clothing of a cloth or towel wrapped around a figure... Seems simple enough... But when I use the transfer utility to conform a obj. the results are a garbled mess... I&#39;ll guide y&#39;all thru what I&#39;m doing to see if theres any mistake by my part. First, I have my G2 figure ready, I create a primitive object of a cylinder, erase and delete the top and bottom part of the cylinder and place the cylinder so that it covers the chest, abdomen and part of the thigs of the G2 figure. <a href="https://i.imgur.com/VFenF8m.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/VFenF8m.jpg</a> <a href="https://i.imgur.com/Dbk8bLg.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/Dbk8bLg.jpg</a> Second, I export as object file the G2 figure and the cylinder separately. <a href="https://i.imgur.com/Vm5vV9O.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/Vm5vV9O.jpg</a> <a href="https://i.imgur.com/ghMkEvh.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/ghMkEvh.jpg</a> Third, I open both the G2 figure object and the cylinder object in Blender, I subdivide the cylinder object so that it folds like clothing, and then I apply the shrinkwrap effect to the cylinder so that it simulates a towel or cloth wrapped around the figure.       <description><![CDATA[<p>I tried to start up DAZ 4.9 this morning and got an error message stating that in order to use the program I had to upgrade my OpenGL 1.1 to OpenGL 1.3 video driver.&nbsp; Can anyone help me with this?&nbsp; I am tired of jumping through countless hoops to get theis driver and I sure as hell am not paying out fifty bucks to &#39;get my outdated drivers fixed&#39; by one of those pay sites!&nbsp; Thanks for your help!&nbsp;</p>

<p>I just updated my GPU from a GeForce Quadro 4800 to a GTX 970, but I&nbsp;t doesn&rsquo;t show in the Hardware tab of the Render Settings. There is only a check box for CPU. Can anyone help?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When I use the &#39;Street Master Chi &#39;, it makes the mid section of the figure invisible. I can&#39;t figure out how to undo this. It&#39;s nothing I can see in the surface tab or the &#39;eye&#39; button on the scene tab, or in parameters. It happen when you conform the jumpsuit. Anyone used this item and figured out how to get back the mid section! Thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok, so I created a slider for my pose and shaping combined, ERC froze it, and it works perfectly. My trouble is coming when I try to save it. I think I&#39;m doing everything properly, but then when I close Daz, and load it up again, the sliders I created for my figure don&#39;t appear in any of the properties panels. Even more, if I track down the files for these sliders, and physically copy and paste them into the folder where the files for the sliders that <em>are&nbsp;</em>successfully appearing (many of them 3rd party files), it <em>still&nbsp;</em>doesn&#39;t work. Why is this so difficult?</p>

<p>What am I doing wrong? And is there a tutuorial that walks you through the saving process for a slider?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been trying to save a multi-part outfit as support asset clothing in Daz 4.10. My problem is this, the first item I save works fine and loads correctly. The second item I save works fine and loads correctly, but when I try to load the first item again, all I get are a bunch of grey blocks. I get no message saying anything is missing and I saved the exact same way as I always have in previous versions of Daz and never had a problem. I checked the data files and they appeared to be in order and are in their proper places.</p>

<p>Does anyone have any idea what might be causing my issue?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi!&nbsp; Before I started using Iray, I got in teh habit of using &quot;Dental Plan for Genesis/Genesis2) on my G1+2 figures.&nbsp; Now that I&#39;m using Iray, their teeth won&#39;t show at all.&nbsp; No teeth, no gums, no inside mouth, just a black hole.&nbsp; I see people offering settings for better teeth materials, but what if they aren&#39;t showing at all?&nbsp; I can see them in the previews, but mouths jsut render as black holes.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Not sure if anyone else is seeing this, but as I attempt to pose Izabella 7 she deforms in completely unusable ways.</p>

<p>To test, I loaded generic Genesis 3 female, posed the left hand (as an example) grasping the fingers, and then applied Izabella body and the fingers and hand deformed significantly. &nbsp;I&#39;ve attached two screenshots: Genesis 3 posed looking normal, then same exact figure with Izabella 7 body dialed up.</p>

<p>The same deformation happens with every Izabella figure I have (I purchased the pro bundle).</p>

<p>Any thoughts/Ideas?</p>
