      <description><![CDATA[<p>The filter box in the paramaters tab lets you type a name to find morphs whith&nbsp;thos characters.&nbsp; Usfull if I need something for they eyes, I can filter on eye and get most of them and nothing else. Cool.</p>

<p>But sometimes in a long list of morphs (specifically pose controls) I don&#39;t recall in a saved scene which ones I activated. This is usually with expressions, where I have dozens of expressions as pose&nbsp;controls.&nbsp; I&#39;ll often t hrow in some &quot;Angry&quot; plus a little &quot;confused&quot; and maybe &quot;gloomy&quot; to get a unique and appropriate expression. But when I look at &quot;currently used&quot; it&#39;s filled with all the little morphs that the pose control activataed, not the pose control itself. So I go to pose controls and I have to tediously scroll through the whole list to see which have non-zero value and zero them by hand.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In GenX you can transfer only morphs with values that are&nbsp;non-zero. So I know it&#39;s possible via a script of some sort to go find them. I am wondering if (a) such a script exists for just this purpose or (b) if there is some other way inside studio to filter on values vice names.&nbsp; Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Every single time I load G3F from one of the Actors in Smart Content or Content Library she always has V7 dialled to 100%. I go to the Shaping tab and look in People/Real World and there it is every single time: Victoria 7 at 100%. She still looks mostly like G3F but if I dial V7 down to zero she looks a bit different. Her body is less curvy and her face is slightly different. If I load any other G3F based character the same thing happens. And of course I can&#39;t get V7 by dialling her morph to 100 on the shaping tab after I set it back to zero. If I load a body and head morph onto G3F after dialling V7 to zero it usually looks like the promo images for that character. BUT if I then load the V7 Actor into the same scene (she DOES load looking like she is supposed to) the G3F based character changes again. She gets taller and skinnier with a very small waist and her face looks a lot like a big baby with giant eyes, etc. The look varies slightly from character to character but it&#39;s not a large variation. And the strange thing is that when I check the shaping tab V7 is still set to zero! If I REM the head and body morphs after V7 has messed them up the figure doesn&#39;t go back to G3F either. It looks like it sticks somewhere between G3F and the BabyFace. The only way to get G3F back is to delete the figure from the scene, load her up again and set the stupid V7 slider to zero% yet again. Doesn&#39;t seem to matter if I use body and face shaping or load an Actor. If there is a Full-Body morph in the shaping tab for that character I can dial it to zero but the figure doesn&#39;t go back to G3F and is once again stuck in between.</p>

<p>Not really sure what is going on in the logfile. There are about 1650 lines like:&nbsp;</p>

<p>And after that the normal messages about loading various images, etc. All together there are about 1900 lines generated in the logfile in less than one minute when I load a character.</p>

<p>I deleted the Genesis 3 Starter Essentials from the Products&nbsp;via Content Library to make sure the metadata was gone, uninstalled it in DIM, deleted the local file, downloaded fresh via DIM and installed it. Makes no difference and I still have the problem. G2F and Victoria 6 work just fine and the same with Genesis and V5. I&#39;m at my wits end. The only other thing I can think of to try is to toss my whole installation in the trash and install everything again from scratch. I REALLY don&#39;t want to do that because I have a TON of stuff I would have to reinstall. My product library here on the website has 44 pages so I think that&#39;s over 1600 products.</p>

<p>Anybody ever have anything like this happen to their installation? Any suggestions?</p>

I&#39;m currently going through two tasks at the moment - one is putting my content into personal Categories and the other is converting old V4 skins to .duf files. Both of these are admittedly laborious, and they&#39;re made even more frustrating by the cursor constantly jumping back to the top of the product list I have open. Which means I have to scroll back down through the content listed under that letter in order to find where I was again.<br />
<br />
For example, I&#39;m presently loading up the Bijou V4 skin to save - that&#39;s all good, but she has several makeup options. So I scroll down through the letter B under Products until I get to Bijou, then save the makeup. As soon as I have done so, the cursor jumps back to the top of the letter B list (in this case, showing me a Backpack instead of Bijou, which is a bit useless), so I have to then scroll back down to Bijou again, and down to the next makeup, in order to continue.<br />

It does exactly the same thing when I allocate something to a Category via the Product list.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Now that&#39;s just a minor irritation when you&#39;re only saving or categorising a few files - but I&#39;m currently wading through just under a decades worth of stuff, and having to scroll through to find the item again, for every single permutation, is really adding to the time it&#39;s taking! All I want it to do is to stay on the file&nbsp;I&#39;m working on, and not shoot back up to the top of the list every time.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Is there a simple setting somewhere where I can tell Daz to stop jumping back to the head of the list? It does it wether I&#39;m in Tree, List or Side By Side mode.&nbsp;<br />

Any thoughts would be appreciated.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Recently i&#39;ve faced a weird issue on one of my renders and specifically one of the suits i&#39;m using which is Astraios Ranger. It just doesn&#39;t matter what render settings,&nbsp;lighting or surface options i choose i always get these white dots on my renders and this suit.&nbsp;I put some screen grabs from my render settings and surface tab for you guys to see what&#39;s happening in there. I usually use 5000 Iterations but this time i used 10000, just to make sure it&#39;s not the quality issue.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi guys! I bought the Santa Bundle. The problem is that after finally found the character (is not located under people/Genesis 3 Male/ Characters as I was expecting)... I only found it doing a search but still I have no idea where in the list is it. Anyway... after import the character I get a &quot;thin Santa&quot;... how to make it more fat to look like in the picture? I think you should offer a video tutorial in all products. I&#39;m sure that you would sell more if buyers do not get only the product, but a tutorial or video tutorial showing how to use it</p>

<p>OK so I downloaded the item Burqua Victoria 4 from:</p>

<p>and I want to make the dress&nbsp;fit, not the actual burqua, &amp; drape via dForce. The trouble is when I set the dress to be a dynamic object at level 2 for simulation the dress is in a T-pose at the start of the simulation but Genesis 8 Female goes to an A-pose and so the fitting and draping never fit properly to drape properly.</p>

<p>How do I change this to work. I do have the full version of the optitex plugin available if that will help but it only ever frustrated me trying to use it.</p>

<p>When I turn on Iray preview in my viewport, I&#39;m seeing group markers in the scene, it is shaped like a gizmo without the arrows.</p>

<p>Cameras and other selections I can make invisible, but not the group markers or else the entire group of objects will become invisible.</p>

<p>Is there a way to turn off those markers?</p>

<p>I just recently bought Manga Style Shaders and it&#39;s turning out to be more of a headache than I thought. I read the step-by-step guide on how to apply the skin shader and my result is ending up nothing like the image in the How-To guide (<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/10961/manga-style-visual-style-topic-update-sept-23rd-2017-fixed-dropbox-links-commercial/p1">Found here</a>)</p>

<p>I attached comparision images below - please see them to understand what the problem is (ie: the texture is all wrong, mine is still 3d-ish)</p>

<p>I know there&#39;s the Manga Style Shader help thread, but a) it looks dead and b) it&#39;s 16 pages and I don&#39;t want to have to dig to find out if my problem is something that&#39;s even addressed. Also, I had this same problem with the Genesis 2 figure (the figure I wanted to use to begin with) so if anyone could help with that too it&#39;d be appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying to get displacement maps working in 3delight without much success. If you look at the first image, it&#39;s a screenshot of&nbsp;the viewpoint. As an experiment I then add a flat gray displacement map - RGB 128, 128, 128, convert it to&nbsp;grayscale color mode. I set displacement to 100%, min to -0.4 max to 1, but theoretically because of the colour of the map,&nbsp;that shouldn&#39;t alter the image at all. I&nbsp;click render and you can see the result below in image 2. It looks like everything is ballooning out.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any idea what could be causing this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, my Name is Achim and I have DS 4.10 for some 6 weeks or so. in th Attachment,the left Pic was rendered in 3Delight and should have a certain dramatic effect.by the Spotlight</p>

<p>On the right the same Pic with IRAY, with exact the same light-settings. Seems, IAY ignores the Shadows aused by the Spot.</p>

<p>Or what I am doing wrong??</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Before this, I had only install DAZ and all it&#39;s Install Manager downlaods onto the default folder it saves (Which was my SSD) and had no issues. But then I had no more space left with more models and such donwloaded into DAZ. So I moved them to my HDD, but all it did was have every file missing. I uninstalled both the Install Manager and DAZ Studio and reinstalled them, making sure in the Install Manager settings that I had changed the default download and install folders into my HDD. It kind of worked, but only the figures, props, hair, and clothing insatlled successfully. All other scripts and shaders all always missing. Is there a way to have it installed normally as it did when they were downloaded and installed in their default folders?&nbsp;</p>

<p>You do know that just because you say so and because your customers click okay, does not make it so retrospectivly or invalidate previous conditions.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m wondering if some recent bug fixes might have caused a regression because some of my most recent purchases have left DAZ Studio hunting for files that should be in Runtime/Textures or Runtime/Geometries. The filenames don&#39;t look particularly complex though, so I don&#39;t know why these are being dropped.</p>

<p>The example I&#39;m providing is from the DTG Cody product available at Renderosity. I&#39;m attaching a screenshot of the files that I see in the ZIP I downloaded, and a picture of the files ContentPackageAssist puts into the ZIP it creates. In this case, a couple files are missing:</p>

<p>DTG_Cody_HeadNoBrowsN.JPG</p>

<p>DTG_Cody_LegsN.JPG</p>

<p>Obviously, I&#39;ve already tried building the CPA Zip file again using CPA, but I get the same result. And, this isn&#39;t the only product affected, or even files within this product affected.</p>

<p>Does anyone have any ideas?</p>

<p>I&#39;m not sure how to reach Mech4d to ask, so I thought I&#39;d post here in the forums.&nbsp; For <strong><em>Mech4d PBS Shaders Vol 2</em></strong> for Iray, can it be used commercially as a material, not a shader?&nbsp; I know the product info for Mech4d PBS shaders for Iray<em> <strong>Vol 3 MR</strong></em> say that they can be used commercially as materials (not shaders of course), but it&#39;s not stated in <em>Vol 2</em>.&nbsp; My assumption would be &quot;no&quot; unless I can confirm otherwise.<br />
&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I finally bit the bullet and bought I13&#39;s Steakhouse Server Outfit because the promo shots looked like it was exactly what I needed... I loaded it up, and while the blouse looks great, the tie scrunchs up between the breasts. I seem to have this problem with all ties. In the promo shot, the tie lies flat, even with large breasts.</p>

<p>Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? I&#39;ve tried fit it to the blouse, and that doesn&#39;t work. The included breast morph just seems to lift the tie up away from the breasts.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been placing a LOT of created scenes into my library in Daz Studio.&nbsp; One time I noticed after the fact that I&#39;d named one of them wrong and decided to manually rename it in the Scenes folder, but the next time I fired up Daz Studio, it complaned that it couldn&#39;t find that item, so I quietly quit back out and renamed the scene back to what it had been.&nbsp; This surprised me, because when I save out renders to the Render LIbrary, I can easily rename them in that folder, or remove them, and Daz Studio simply, quietly adjusts the names accordingly in its windows.&nbsp; But that&#39;s not why I&#39;m posting this.</p>

<p>I have a LOT of scenes saved out, they&#39;re&nbsp;all part of a comic-book narrative project, with each one corresponding to a particular frame in the comic.&nbsp; I.e. something akin to &quot;Flying Purple Gooses from Mars, scene 1-17 -- 20171130&quot;&nbsp; (That&#39;s not the actual name of my comic!&nbsp; :D&nbsp; Just a made up name for this post. :) )</p>

<p>Anyway, when I eventually finish this project (it has balooned out of control!&nbsp; :D :D ) I want to be able to simply pull all those scenes out of the Scenes folder.&nbsp; Maybe move them into a subdir, maybe move them to another location altogether.&nbsp; Will Daz Studio trip over itself if I completely REMOVE all the saved scenes in the mythical &quot;Flying Purple Gooses from Mars&quot; comic out of there?&nbsp; Would there be something I&#39;d need to do to make Daz Studio refresh the list of saved scenes so that those have been removed, and/or any others that might be renamed get recognised as such?</p>

<p>Still on my steep learning curve and back again with another question!&nbsp; Hope it&#39;s in the correct place - if not, apologies.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been looking into using HDRI images as my environment background.&nbsp; I found a great yet simple explanation at [&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://raxatech.deviantart.com/art/Tutorial-HDR-Environments-in-Daz-Studio-588942586">https://raxatech.deviantart.com/art/Tutorial-HDR-Environments-in-Daz-Studio-588942586</a>&nbsp;] which explains where I&#39;m pretty much at.</p>

<p>It&#39;s all working fine and renders look great!&nbsp; However, is there any way to get the background image to show in the actual preview window?&nbsp; Like when I&#39;m moving characters, props etc.&nbsp; It would be so much easier to see where everything is in relation to the image rather than to do a quick render each time I want to check.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I bot <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/jepe-s-wondersheetz-for-victoria-7">Jepe&#39;s WonderSheetZ for Victoria 7</a>.&nbsp; It looks like it will be really cool, but I can&#39;t get over half of the shaders and none of the presets to work.&nbsp; How does this thing work?&nbsp; Are there instructions anyplace?&nbsp; Basically all I can get is either black on one side and color on another, or translucent that you cannot change the color on?&nbsp; I don&#39;t get it.&nbsp; I know there is a way all this stuff is supposed to work, but how?</p>
