Hi

I purchased the nightbar scene that is sold on this site.

I've made a bunch of chanegs. mostly to color, and I was able to render it successfully as i made them......but I think at the end I inadvertently made a change that messed it up. when I try to render, the scene renders too quickly and renders totally black.

I can still go back to the original (before any of my changes) and it renders okay. But i dont want to lose all of my changes though, so can anyone take a guess as to what kind of accidental change could cause the render error I describe? Thanks!

Hi there,

I thought this was an issue that had been resolved long ago, but upon loading a scene I'd been working on (which had previously been fine), I got the dreaded "Duplicate formulas found" error on load. Looking in the log, the item causing the errors seems to be M3D Dalton for G8M, but uninstalling it and reinstalling it from DIM doesn't seem to have fixed the issue. Genesis 8 seems to load fine and there are no obvious glitches with his morphs, however.

I've attached a file with the relevant parts of the log, in the hopes that someone who's more familiar with the terminology might be able to decrypt it.

It's been so long since I've dealt with this error that I can't remember how to fix it, and all the forum threads I can find refer to the original Genesis figure. Has anyone else experienced this problem with G8?

Hopefully a solution can be found! Seems odd that this error should only have appeared recently, I'm certain that I'd worked on this scene with no problems after having bought and installed the Dalton pack, so it's not like it's a recent addition that's caused the problems.

I just managed to obtain Michael 8 and have installed several files looking forward to playing with new toys.. No problems installing things using the DAZ program. However, when I try to load a figure that needs Genesis 8 Male or Michael 8, I get a message indicating that the figure cannot load until I upgrade my DAZ Studio to 4.9.4.111. I can see no way to do this.

Could someone please advise how to upgrade DAZ Studio itself? I've been through the forums, I've been through web searches, I did not see a thread or any indication on how to upgrade. Seems strange to me that this is hidden information unless it's in plain sight at the end of my nose. My apologizies if I missed it. I've submitted a ticket for help but do not expect to hear back until sometime tomorrow. This leaves me dead in the water tonight.

I have a Windows 10 64bit computer; I have tried to manually download a new copy of D|S to no avail. Nothing will download from the Technology DAZ Studio page. I have tried to use Install Manager (after upgrading that). Another strike out. :(

Help me please? Thanks in advance for your help.

I really love the massive morphs, but think the teeth may be conflicting with other morphs I have or just acting strangely.

The morph in question is: Massive Definition

I'm also wondering if this is intentional? I would love to use this morph, but I prefer the standard teeth and for my muscle morphs to not alter the teeth.

I love this set! Reminds me of Pensacola.
But I'm having a weird issue with the walk-up service window on Building #5 (and the others that I've tested). When I slide either glass panel open using the appropriately-named slider to set up a pose for it, the panel immediately snaps shut again. But it doesn't reset the control slider. In addition there appears to be some kind of weird interaction between the left and right panels, in that when I slide one, the other will pop to the fully-open position until I mouse-up on the slider. Then they'll both snap shut again.

I've looked through the Parameters tab and I don't spot any controllers or anything unusual hooked up to the window. I've never seen this behavior on a DAZ item before, and I have no idea what's going on. Is this ringing a bell with anyone?

Hello,

I recently started working with daz and thought it would be a good idea to add my old graphic card with a pci-express extender (gtx 460 1GB) to speed up the iray rendering a bit for small scenes. Now I have the problem that I get a render error roughly at halt-time and then daz falls back to cpu-rendering (which is rather slow in my case). It renders without errors if I use only the main graphic card (GTX 745 4GB). The drivers and windows are all up to date.

I looked in the log file but unfortunately the error message doesn't help me to identify/solve the problem. According to it the GTX 745 causes the error (kernel error/whatever that means). But strangely rendering with the GTX 745 alone goes without problems. Perhaps someone with more experience can help me or give me a hint what's wrong?

Hi guys,

I'm working on a project that involves hiperrealistic animation so I want to use a female G3 figure with mocap animation.

I've loaded a .bvh file (a running cycle) into my Genesis 3 female figure but the arms are in T pose and they keep all the time like she is flapping to fly. This problem is not happening with G2 figures, they work fine.

1.- Is this a matter of bone mapping correctly?

2.- Does Daz 4.10 supports FBX mocap files? which files can be used with G3 figures?

Maybe there's a work around that involves exporting to other software, any ideas?

Any help will be appreciated.

I don't usually remember long enough to go through the trouble of making a thread about it, but it JUST happened to me, so its still fresh in my memory.

Does anyone else here ever encounter what i've come to hatefully nickname "The Eternal Render"?

Usually, I can click Render and go do whatever. when I come back a few hours later the Render is done and everything is great. but sometimes i have moments where i come back 5-6 hours later and the render is only at like 30% for some reason. the first time I encountered this I told it to start rendering in the middle of the day. I then went to do normal life stuff, and when I was about to go to bed i checked it "Huh, still not done? thats odd..... Whatever, I'll just go to bed and it'll be done by morning." it was not done by morning..

12+ hours had past it it was still somehow at less than 50%.

It just happened to me again today. I started rendering. Well, it winter and the weather is butt outside, so I was able to keep a close eye on my render today. at about one and a half hours in the render was at 40% fast forward a bit up until just right now. I check the render that has been cooking for 4 hours and 42 minutes. 40%... "WHAT!? HOW COULD THIS BE!?" I'm assuming my PC isnt a time traveler, so it must be somthing else.

This happens to me.... Oh, I would say about 2 times out of every 5-6 renders...

Anyone haveing the same problem, or know why this happens?

I would like to know if I can apply any Genesis 2 Male shape on a Genesis 2 Female as well, or does it depend on the product?

Or is that not possible at all?

I'm asking because I wanted to apply a male bodybuilder shape to a Genesis 2 Female.

I was hoping that it would more or less completely "overwrite" the Genesis 2 Female shape.

This didn't work, and I don't know if that's because of the product or if I need to do something special to make it work.

Is it possible to parent the shoes individually to each foot if both shoes load together?

So I've been trying to use LAMH 2 Iray Catalyzer for the first time on Black Panthers for DAZ Big Cat 2. The problem I'm encountering is that after saving the scene, I can't open it because DAZ "encounters a fatal error". This has happened twice today. The first time, I figured something corrupted it. So I pulled out an earlier version (without the Cat) and Daz was able to open it. Then, again, I added the cat with the Catalyzer fur, posed him, closed the app and went to do something. When I came back to work, I was once again told Daz had encountered a fatal error and wouldn't allow me to open the scene.

This is what I get:

I'm also attaching the report I get.

Does anyone know if there's a fix for this? I recently installed (without meaning to) the update to Daz Studio, so I'm working on the 4.10 version. Could this be what's causing the problem? And, if so, is there a way to revert back to 4.9?

I purchased a package of textures, brushes and layer styles for use in Photoshop. Is there any way to just download that and not use the Install Manager? I really don't want to put anything on my computer that I'll not use and just uninstall right away.

Seems pretty ridiculous to have to jump through multiple hoops for something simple.
