      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, my name is Acharya Hargreaves. I&#39;m trying to learn how to create my own clothing for my characters. specifically Genesis 3 female. I created a body suit in 3DS Max,that is the software I use, here is the picture of my bodysuit.</p>

<p>&nbsp;and then I chopped up my bodysiut and named each part according to the parts of Genesis 3 female base that I was using to model my body suit on.</p>

<p>Then I imported the body suit into Daz3d I am following a tutorial on how to do all of this on youtube.</p>

<p>So I go ahead and apply the smoothing modifier but I get even more pokethroughs so I dont know if I am doing this correctly.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have created some morphs&nbsp;in zbrush and i want to limit the sliders to range between 0 and 100% instead of the -100 to 100% that they default to. This works fine for the scene and is saved for that scene but a new scene the dials are back to&nbsp;-100 to 100% the&nbsp;default. Is there a way to save thes slider limits globally ?&nbsp; what is weird is the colour setting will save globally as do renaming the sliders but not the limit settings</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>It has been about 4 months since I fired up the PC and had a hand at rendering anything, but in the last 3 weeks I finally had some time again.&nbsp; I updated to 4.10 -- no problems with the install -- and the new bells and whistles (like dForce) are working fine.&nbsp; Unfortunately, Studio is crashing at least every hour or so and I don&#39;t know why.&nbsp; I can&#39;t find a single, reproducible reason, so I&#39;m not even sure if I should file a bug report. I&#39;m just looking for any obvious suggestions I may have missed.&nbsp; It&#39;s generally happening at memory-intensive operations, like changing textures in Iray preview mode -- but it&#39;s also happened when trying to load smart content metadata.</p>

<p>My system is old, but not <em>ancient</em>.&nbsp; I&#39;ve got a Windows7 x64 machine with an i7 3770-K CPU (16GB RAM) and a GeForce GTX970 designated only for rendering (my old GTX660 is running the monitors.)&nbsp; I&#39;ve got the most recent drivers for my GPU and nothing else has changed in my system (because I&#39;ve barely turned it on since September.)&nbsp; I&#39;ve been watching the memory and temperature of GPU and all CPU cores with HWiNFO64. My CPU is pegging at 100% when switching to the Iray preview, but it&#39;s always done that.&nbsp; My GPU memory has not been more full than 86%, according to the sensor log.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The plan is to build a new PC in the next few months, but until then, it would be nice for DS to not crash every 45 minutes.&nbsp; Is this just a matter of &quot;I&#39;m doing more than my PC is capable of&quot;?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve submitted a bug report, but thought I&#39;d draw attention to a problem with the shoes in <a href="https://www.daz3d.com/angels-secrets-lingerie-and-poses-for-genesis-3-and-8-female-s" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/angels-secrets-lingerie-and-poses-for-genesis-3-and-8-female-s</a> and find out if anyone else has noticed it and/or found a remedy.</p>

<p>The attached mini-renders illustrate what&#39;s wrong. In &#39;Heels wonky&#39; the character is wearing&nbsp;the shoes included in the Angels Secret set, in &#39;Heels on straight&#39; she&#39;s wearing shoes from another set. The fore-and-aft&nbsp;(to use a sailing term) joint seems solid enough, it&#39;s the side-to-side joint that&#39;s rubbery.</p>

<p>[ edit/afterthought: in &#39;wonky&#39; you&#39;ll notice that the heels bend in different directions, as if they&#39;re magnetized. Removing limits, which I haven&#39;t done here, makes it even more apparent. ]</p>

Is there a reason the Install Manager would leave the installed files from uninstalled packages in place? I&#39;ve been trying to free up disk space by shrinking my library and DIM removes the packages from the content database used by Studio, but the files are left in the library.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a spotlight shining down on a spider - the spider is being lit by the spotlight but the floor it sits on is not and no shadows are falling onto the floor either. The floor is just a uniform shade.</p>

<p>I tried bringing in a plane and removing the floor and that works fine. The plane gets lit by the spotlight as I would expect the floor to be.</p>

<p>So for some reason the floor is invisible to my spotlight.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there! I&#39;ve seen various tutorials on youtube (sickleyield etc) but I&#39;m having problems.</p>

<p>I&#39;m making some <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/230271/free-comission-what-clothes-do-you-want#latest">free clothes (link to request post)</a>&nbsp;but having problems importing JCM;&nbsp;</p>

<p>As I said in the mentioned post, &quot;<span>For example, I can get one arm to fold perfect, and when I put the morph for the other arm, the previous arm is a mess.&nbsp;</span>&quot;</p>

<p>I tried varied workflows:</p>

<p>Using morph loader pro, Control property Yes (Selecting the bone node in the cloth or leaving it blank using the hiearchy propierties panel to put it manually), Reveres deformations yes/no, make unique/deltas only etcm I tried lot of things.</p>

<p>But like I Said, I must been not grasping some key concept cause I having lot of issues to correctly implement the morphs.</p>

<p>PS: I import FBM and fixing morphs with no problem and they work well.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I spent the day yesterday going through all of my 3rd party content and creating products for them. There were a lot of them. I did this by selecting the base folder for the products content in the Content Manager and doing &quot;Create Product From&quot; on it. Once I was done creating the Products I started to go through the Products to configure them for Smart Content.</p>

<p>As I was going throught them I immediately found one that had created the Product but did not include any content in it. I walked checked all of the newly created Products and there were quite a few that had failed to include the Content in the Product.</p>

<p>I tried redoing some of them but none of them worked. It also seemed to be the ones that I had done in the last couple of hours of my work.</p>

<p>So, I decided that the database was probably corrupted. I did an export of the userdata, reset the database and then did an import. None of the 3rd party changes remained, even the ones that were correct prior to the database reset are missing now. It looks like the ones that were working properly were actually ones that I had created in the past and had just renamed in yesterdays session. Now they have all reverted back to the old names.</p>

<p>... and even after the database reset, I still can&#39;t create any new products. They are always empty.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I observed something strange you can reproduce with most likely each Genesis Figure:</p>

<p>Do the following steps: Load a new figure, apply a skin, open it&#39;s mouth, change to the geometry editor, select a part of one tooth, select then all connected (one tooth is selected), hide the selected polygons and delete then the hidden ones. Then you have finally a figure with a tooth gap.</p>

<p>But: If you do the same steps with a figure which has already loaded a genitalia, all looks fine as long as the Geometry Editor is the selected tool. If you change back to the universal tool, the figure has holes.</p>

<p>An even harder example I found, as I equipped Girl 6 with the &#39;New Genitalia for V6&#39;. What came out you see in picture 6, 6a had been rendered after I activated the &#39;Geometry Editor&#39; again.</p>

<p>WARNING: dzneuraymgr.cpp(307): Iray ERROR - module:category(IRAY:RENDER):&nbsp; &nbsp;1.2&nbsp; &nbsp;IRAY&nbsp; &nbsp;rend error: CUDA device 0 (GeForce GTX 1060 3GB): May not have enough memory available to execute CUDA kernel (estimated 89.332 MiB)</p>

<p>I know it&#39;s not a high end card, but been happening randomly either on render ( in this case ) or on loading of a scene my DAZ would just stop and give me an error. I cannot submit the error as it does not allow me. I do have it saved to a zip file.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Should i submit a ticket?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>If I change the set of which polygons are included in a set of surfaces or add new surfaces or combine surfaces to that set of surfaces and I save those changes as a &#39;surfaces preset&#39; of some sort so I can use with the other characters or whatnot if the geometry matches?</p>

<p>Example: I have a set of butterfly wings and I want to create a bunch of surfaces on them so I can apply different material presets to the butterfly wings. Sure one set of surfaces I can use many multiples of materials presets on such a set of surfaces but I want to change the layout of the surfaces themselves so the pattern on the butterfly wings can be changed as well but just the materials.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, let me first say I am a furry artist and I take different figures given to me or that i payed for parent them to each other to make my furry characters and I retexture everything. I thought that might have caused some of the problems I&#39;m having but after a bit of messing around with daz that wasnt the case.&nbsp;</p>

<p>so the problems I&#39;m having first off despite trying evey fix I have found I can not select differnt parts of a figure. I can use bone select tool/right click and drop down sure. but normally just clicking I can not select body parts. I tried loading an unmodified figure but no luck. uninstalling and reinstalling daz really isnt an option because some of the things I have recivied from friends/family were just files I could drag and dropand after a computer clean up most of the oringal files are gone, all thats left of the files I was given is what is in my daz folder( there are so many things backing up everything would take months)&nbsp;</p>

<p>second problem I use v4/m4 for most things but clothing is not conforming to the body( and with how much skin some of the clothing shows using hid body parts wont look right) I have boobs/hips all kind of things sticking out. I thought it was just because most of the clothing I have was files given to me so I just today purchased the &quot;candie for V4&quot; top and despite the few adjustments that came with it doesnt fit the shape of the boobs and they fully show through</p>

<p>I am picking up the pieces after a crash. I used to be able to select an uber environment and choose emissive. Unfortunately, I can&#39;t recall the starting steps of this other than going through the content library panel. When I try to find these options, I come up empty.</p>

<p>Does this sound familiar to anyone else out there? Apparently I had the product, I may not have reinstalled it yet and would like to do so.&nbsp;</p>

      <title>Not full speed on gpu memory during Iray rendering.</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I noticed in gpu-z that when I do a render in Daz3d (Iray) that the gpu memory clock on my 1080ti is&nbsp;only running at 1251mhz (1251mhz=10000mhz) instead of running at the usual 1376 (1376mhz=11000mhz) during gpu load.&nbsp;During games for example it does run at 1376mhz (1376mhz=11000mhz).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Edit: Just starting daz3d seems to lock the memory at a lower speed. Tried with a game running with memory working at full speed and when opening daz3d in the backround the memory clocked down right away, When closing daz3d and the game still running the memory started to work at full speed again.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just purchased this Galactic Racer Motorcycle&nbsp;in the Glactic Racer Bundle and I am trying to figure out how to get my Genesis 3 character posed on it.&nbsp; I was under the impression, considering the list of characters that are compatible with the bike, that there was some sort of pose included.&nbsp; Can someone please direct me where I might find the poses for this item?&nbsp; Link included.&nbsp; Thanks so much!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been using multiple of the genesis 2 female models in some of my scenes and one thing that always seems to happen is that the second one has its posing and shaping options in a different order than the first.</p>

<p>For example. In the eyes tab the first model has the first option as Eyelids Bottom Down</p>

<p>But with the second one the first option in the eyes tab is Eyes Up-Down</p>

<p>Is there any way to make it so both models use the same options layout with posing and shaping or is it cause both models share the same name. (I&#39;m using Catherine as the name for both models)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have TD2, bought when first released over at RDNA. I use Poser Pro 11.1. I have mainly used the dessert scenes, sometime water and have had brilliant results. I have just tried the Alpine textures and found poser hangs (stops responding) if I have characters in the scene at pre calculating subsurface scattering, or without characters at the render stage. The scene is the same, it will render as normal with dessert textures, crash if I change to Alpine textures. Is&nbsp;this a known problem, and is there a solution?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve had these products for a while, tried and tried to decipher where they went and whats going on. 3 items in particular, as outlined below - I hope someone can help me with them. <span><em>I&#39;m using DAZ studio 4.9 - 64 bit, Windows 7</em></span><br />
<br />
<strong>#1. <span>Z Barbarian Expressions for Ivan 7</span></strong>&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.daz3d.com/z-barbarian-expressions-for-ivan-7">http://www.daz3d.com/z-barbarian-expressions-for-ivan-7</a><br />
The problem is - it doesnt show up in the smart content where it should <em>and has No Expressions</em> - just a Zero setting. I have to UnTick the &quot;Filter By Context&quot; to find the zero expression setting. I even tried to download and manually install this product, and get the same results. I dont get it. I examined the content of the download file and it looks like all the goodies are in there, but for some reason its not installing properly.<br />
<strong>#2. <span>Dashing &amp; Daring Poses For Lee 7</span></strong>&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.daz3d.com/dashing-daring-poses-for-lee-7">http://www.daz3d.com/dashing-daring-poses-for-lee-7</a><br />
The main problem here is.., It doesnt show up in the Smart Content at all. I have to do a search in the Content Library.<br />
<strong>#3. <span>Olympus Mons Hanger</span></strong>&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.daz3d.com/olympus-mons-hangar">http://www.daz3d.com/olympus-mons-hangar</a><br />
The product icon shows up in the Smart Content area - but has nothing but cameras in it. No props, no materials. Props do not even show in the Content Library search. <em>It used to be there in its entirety&nbsp;and worked fine last I used it a year or two ago</em>.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using animate2<br />
I correctly modeled the character to the first position in keyframe 1, second 0 - <strong>Pose-1@sec-0</strong><br />
Forwarded to Second 1, applied a Keyframe, modeled a 2nd Pose -&gt; <strong>Pose-2@sec-1</strong><br />
---- ( So far the animation from <strong>Pose-1@sec-0 </strong>to <strong>Pose-2@sec-1</strong> goes flawless) ----</p>

<p><br />
<strong>[THE PROBLEM! ]</strong></p>

<p>I then move to Second 2 and apply another keyframe there.<br />
Create a 3rd Pose <strong>Pose-3@sec2&nbsp;</strong>(willing <strong>pose-2@sec-1 </strong>goes to <strong>pose-3@sec-2</strong>)<br />
<br />
The Result: <strong>Pose-1/sec-0</strong> start animation and gets affected by <strong>pose-3@sec2</strong></p>

<p>as a result the first animation I created going from second 0 to second 1 gets all screwed, can&#39;t lock and achieve<br />
to animate separately from <strong>Pose-2@sec-1 to Poser-3@sec2<br />

HELP!!! :(</strong></p>
