      <description><![CDATA[<p>None of the mane or tails come in when using the IDG Lray Essentials for the horse. It keeps asking for missing files, I used whatever the Installer downloaded. And what it&#39;s looking for supposedly is in a Runtime folder... I couldn&#39;t find a Runtime folder for Daz. I&#39;m familiar with it in Poser. But this said it worked with Daz 3D 4.10.</p>

<p>Another question, when I just use my Horse 2... he never comes in with no mane or tail.</p>

<p>Help?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there an easy way to filter items in my &quot;Product Library&quot; that allows me to hide the DAZ Connect items, so that I know which items I need to use Install Manager for, or install manually?</p>

<p>My Install Manager was doing good with seeing what DAZ Connect had already installed, but suddenly it stopped working, and now thinks everything needs to be reinstalled.</p>

<p>Also, some items are not covered by either DAZ Connect, nor Install Manager, and it would be nice to be able to easily find those that I need to install manually.</p>

<p>Whenever I try to preveiw a scene in the viewport using the Iray preveiw I get this fatal error:</p>

<p>DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module &quot;D:\Program Files\3D\DAZ 3D\STUDIO 49\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\libs\iray\libneuray.dll&quot; at 0033:000000009D88C0CE, mi_neuray_factory()+4039486 byte(s)</p>

<p>This behaviour only started just now. I have rendered and previewed with Daz Studio and Iray before without any issue.</p>

<p>I did not alter Daz Studio, nor my GPU drivers nor my Windows configuration since the time it worked smoothly.</p>

<p>Im on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, using an Intel i7 6950X cpu and two Nvidia Titan X (pascal) GPU&#39;s (SLI is turned off).</p>

<p>What can be causing this, and how do I solve this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a custom morphed character that when I&nbsp;load gets the &quot;ribbon finger&quot; issue. I know I can fix this by updating the rigging via Edit&gt;Figure&gt;Rigging&gt;Adjust&nbsp;Rigging to&nbsp;Shape.</p>

<p>However how do I update the morph files so I dont have to do this everytime I load the figure? I have tried updating the rigging and resaving the morph asset but this doesn&#39;t appear to work.</p>

	<li>11 surfaces are still <em>DAZ Default Shader</em> and can&#39;t be replaced, it only changes the settings not the shader.</li>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Currently (with IRay) my Gen8 character (Michael) gets black dots around a body part that is touching an object or another character. The longer the render, the more black dots show up around the area.</p>

<p>On closer inspection within GIMP/Photoshop, these dots are actually transparent when zoomed in. How can I fix this? I never this problem with Genesis 3 characters.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I am working on exporting my Scifi Suit for Genesis 8 Female, for Victoria 8. However I understand that I need to 0 out the figures scale if the figure scales when morphing to get a perfect clothing morph fit, otherwise the clothing will be too big or small to the character when using morph loader pro.</p>

<p>Attached are 2 images showing my Scifi Suit for Genesis 8, morphed for Victoria 8, but when I go to dial back the scale setting it is already set at 100%, it should read like 97% or something because there is scalling done by the Victoria Morph on Genesis 8 female, but it does not show.</p>

<p>Does anyone know where to find it? or do I have to figure out the scale by trial and error. :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I am working in DAZ 4.10 Pro.&nbsp; I load a G3M or G3F and go to Surfaces.&nbsp; I see the Default template and Template 1,2,3, etc.</p>

<p>If I modify the Default template with skin settings, will thsoe changes apply to eyes, nails?</p>

<p>If I should not change the Default template, is there a way to select all the skin templates (face, torso, arms, legs) and apply the skin modifications simultaneously to all the skin templates?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve looked at this issue for weeks now in hopes of finding a resolution in the forums, the associated files, even submitting a trouble ticket - nothing thus far. &nbsp;In Feb 2016, I purchased the <strong>Kids 4 Base</strong> and <strong>The Kids 4 Morphs++</strong> (along with a host of Kids 4 addons over a period of time). &nbsp;However, those two initial files only appear as a caution/warning icon in DAZ Studio. The info tab does not indicate any meta data or artist details. &nbsp;I&#39;ve deleted and reinstalled the files several times, nothing...</p>

<p>What am I missing? &nbsp;I have not been a regular user of the products/tools here at all. &nbsp;I&#39;m now back over in the saddle to accomplish some new projects, but I am stuck. &nbsp;The Kids 4 piece was something that was core to the efforts I am working on now that I cannot seem to get around. &nbsp;Does anyone have any insight? &nbsp;I&#39;ve already gone well beyond my deadline for completion of the current project, but I am still hopeful I can somehow work through this soon - especially given the investment of $$ for supplemental products.</p>

<p>If this is a straight newbie part 2 thing, I don&#39;t mind having that pointed out to me as well. &nbsp;(Requesting to update the metada does nothing as well.)</p>

However, everytime I select the sub-item, ceiling, and then right click on it to choose &quot;delete&quot;, it only gives me the option to delete the&nbsp;WP_Cor_Cflr completely which also includes the floor. I need the floor.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey guys, so I want to export this model:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/asn-model-4" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/asn-model-4</a> and animate it in Cinema 4d. Normally Daz3d characters export just fine to C4d using FBX, and all I have to do is set up an ik chain on the joints. This little guy is tough though, as all his pistons don&#39;t come into Cinema 4d rigged.</p>

<p>Does anyone know either how to export with the piston rigging intact, or how I can redo that rigging in Cinema 4d? Thank you so much!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>1) I have an emissive primitive plane in my scene, I am going to need 3 of the exact same size and emissive&nbsp;settings, is there a way to duplicate? I tried&nbsp;ctrl c &amp; ctrl v , couldn&#39;t be that lucky. :)&nbsp;</p>

<p>2) when rendering canvases is there a way to isolate emissive light? Can I render it&nbsp;as a light group? I have tried using the emissive canvas but that didn&#39;t seem to do anything. Maybe I didn&#39;t check the boxes that needed checked??&nbsp; I never know if anything works until my render is done so I thought I would ask in advance this time. :)&nbsp;</p>

<p>3) I&#39;m using an old 3delight&nbsp;set and the windows have textures that I don&#39;t want to loose (painted scene and panes) is there a way to let light through these without loosing the texture?&nbsp;</p>

<p>4) I need a narrow soft light, narrow and directional like what&nbsp;you get when using a snoot, but I want really soft edges and shadows, like you get with a Larson&nbsp; 4x6&nbsp;or natural light on a cloudy day.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am in the process of adding Metadata to my old DAZ content along with the content that I am now creating for myself. But I have a few questions :</p>

<p>BTW: I know how to create a new Root Compatibility Database and how to use the Content DB Editor to assign the Asset&rsquo;s Type and Categories (pict 1). I also know how to add my content to the Content Library tab&rsquo;s Products folder location (by right-clicking on the content&#39;s folder name, and then choose: &ldquo;Create a Product from&rdquo; option).</p>

<p>1) Am I adding content metadata correctly? Because all of my content is listed as Local User in the Content DB Editor (and in the Support folder) (see pict 2). Is all content that is NOT gotten from DAZ supposed to be listed as LOCAL USER?</p>

<p>2) One thing that really irritates me is: I get everything categorized properly, but when I look for it in the Smart Content&rsquo;s folders or the Content Libraries&rsquo; Categories/Default folders, two thumbnails always show up. One will be correctly tagged as, e.g. Wardrobe, whereas the second isn&rsquo;t. Both add the item to my scene, but the second one is redundant. I am including a screenshot for the Overshirt for the &ldquo;Stylin for M4&rdquo; (that I added metadata to) as an example (pict 3).</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This topic serves as an indication that better hardware bought well is a way better option.</p>

<p>I bought last year December an Asus GTX1060 3GB GPU and was not sure if I should get a 6GB that was so much more in price for my gaming and some DAZ3d rendering needs.</p>

<p>I went with the 3GB card instead of sucking it up and paying extra for the 6GB. BIG mistake. So if you can squeze out extra bit for a slightly better card with more VRAM then do it. I am not talking about going from GTX1050 to GTX1080 or such, even small changes seems to help.</p>

<p><strong>Example:</strong></p>

<p>I did a 2500x1600 render with a character model and DOF background.</p>

<p>Took 56min to do 40% completion and 225renders.</p>

<p>I left it and last night inserted my new Asus GTX1060 6GB card (so from one Asus 1060 to similar Asus GPU)</p>

<p>Took 13min to do 100% with 550renders.</p>

<p>That is a huge difference. Then I upped the resolution to 3500x1910 and pushed the Max Samples to 1200 which was too much really.</p>

<p>Took 42min to do 90% and used 990max samples. I stopped it as the image looked so so good.</p>

<p>Frankly I was expecting a small increase in speed and quality not this wopper of a difference with a change from 3GB to 6GB card</p>

<p>Hopefully this will help someone in the future.</p>

<p>It is not clear from the description for the LAMH Catalyzer if I need to install the LAMH (Look At My Hair) plug-in.&nbsp; I have Alessandro_AM&#39;s excellent Wolf 2.0 but I haven&#39;t tried to render it with LAMH plug-in (since I don&#39;t own it).&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This problem is frustrating because&nbsp;the scene I&#39;ve been rendering has been working well and suddenly started crashing a few minutes after loading. I do a little work save do some more and it crashes. I&#39;ve reduced the scene to one character visible and opened in wireframe but I keep getting this on the log:</p>

<p>Should I be getting render info if I&#39;m not rendering?&nbsp;I&#39;m still in wireframe. The single figure is easy to work with and the scene is very navigable. I&#39;m running OS Sierra 10.12.6 with up-to-date drivers on a mid-2012 Mac Pro with 16GB memory, an Nvidia 1070 with 8GB VRAM and am using Studio 4.10. The card has it&#39;s own power supply. I have unchecked the box for the improvement program and after the first few crashes am working offline.&nbsp;The figure is a single G8 Male (Chance). The scene normally has 4 figures, a&nbsp;number of props, an environment and environmental lighting and it was working and rendering prior to this in Iray without any problems. Help.</p>
