      <description><![CDATA[<p>I saw video on the youtube <span><span id="youtube-sc6kq1TV8Ek"><span><a rel="nofollow" href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=sc6kq1TV8Ek#t="><img src="http://img.youtube.com/vi/sc6kq1TV8Ek/0.jpg" width="640" height="385" alt="image" style="border: 0px;" /></a></span><span></span></span></span> . I am doing everything the same, but have a problem. When I activated animation in Unity, shorts are torn.&nbsp;<br />
The same problem I see in DAZ when turn animation on.<br />
When I change poses in DAZ also appear holes on clothes, but in 1 sec everything goes to normal and clothes puts on correctly.<br />
I spent many hours in solving of this problem, but nothing. Can you tell me where is problem?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve recently made a move to amp up my render speeds by adding an additional external Aorus Gaming Box 1080. Initially there were some drivers problems, but ultimately I did a clean install of the newest version to handle both my laptop&#39;s internal 1060 and the new external 1080. Render speeds are definitely up. The problem I&#39;m running into now is that the interface decides to freeze periodically, seemingly every 6 or 7 seconds for about a second. I&#39;ve been testing out what brings this on and it seems to run fine with a new scene and one character.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As soon as I add a piece of clothing to the scene the issue starts up all over again. All of my older, more complicated scene saves seem to have this issue now too. Never had this problem before...</p>

<p>Any thoughts? Now that I&#39;m thinking about it, this may have nothing to do with the recent changes, and may have been going on for a while. It&#39;s possible I&#39;ve gotten used to the lag and accepted it as unavoidable considering my system&#39;s specs. I have an MSI GS63VR gaming laptop with enough guts to run DAZ seamlessly tho, or so I would think.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I am&nbsp;working on a character and have a few questions. The character base is genesis 3 female. Some morphs are my own custom morphs and some are the base model. If I want to try and sell this character eventually am I not allowed to use any of the base morphs? I have read through the forums, watched youtube videos and I have learned some things but there are gaps in what I&#39;ve been able to find out. If I zero the morphs used from the base model and just use my own the character loses some detail and personality. The eyes are extremely difficult to morph in hexagon because of the way gen3 mesh is made. I really want to use some of the base morphs in my character. Am I making this too hard? Thanks for any help.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>it looks like using reflection, subD and Instances throws the renderer&nbsp;off-&nbsp;</p>

<p>- Create a plane, and turn up the reflection to 100%</p>

<p>- Insert a primitive on top of it and render. The primitive should have a reflection.&nbsp;</p>

<p>- Now convert the primitive to SubD&nbsp;(Edit &gt; Object &gt; Geometry &gt; convert to SubD) and render again. The reflection is still there.</p>

<p>-Now create an instance of that primitive and it no longer reflects..&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>-Hide the instance and the reflection returns.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Not only does it not reflect onto the floor, if you apply a reflective surface onto the primitive, it wont work either.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried it on 4.10.0.123 64bit running on windows 10&nbsp;</p>

<p>and on 4.10.0.107 32 bit running on windows 7.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I downloaded a free figure, and I know you get what you pay for and I&#39;m immensely grateful for this work someone made, BUT I was hoping to actually use this figure in the new user posing challenge for the month here at Daz. It works okay if you don&#39;t need to pose the right leg much, but I&#39;d like the option. Anyway, if someone could tell me how to fix this, I&#39;d greatly appreciate it.</p>

<p>When I select the right thigh and try to pose it, it does this:&nbsp;</p>

<p>The lower leg moves just as you&#39;d expect, but the upper leg stays pretty much fixed. In the wireframe view, the upper leg is where it appears to be, while the lower leg moves to where it appears it should if attached to the upper leg and the upper leg moved. If I raise the leg to a more extreme position, it does this:</p>

<p>As you can see, there is a deformity in the hip region where the upper leg should be, but the wireframe shows the upper leg is where it appears to be in the viewport.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>In shader mixer using IRAY PBR Metallicity Base, if I do operations on textures that output to the base color, such as&nbsp;multiply&nbsp;2 textures together or have a base color texture be masked by a LERP, while the material&nbsp;will render fine when Metallicity is set to 0,&nbsp;when Metallicty is set to 1 the material will render as bright white.&nbsp; When i plug a texture into base color directly it works fine, but as soon as I multiply&nbsp;or lerp the texture the metallicity breaks again.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>How can I solve this issue and still be able to do operations on the base color while not breaking metallicity?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a MSi X299 Tomahawk motherboard with a i7 7800X pro with 1x 1080ti and 1x980ti&nbsp;and I decided to add a third 980ti<br />
<br />
The board has the following slots:<br />
<span>2x PCI-E 16 / 1x PCI-E 16 (8x) / 1x PCI-E 16 (4x) / 2x PCI-E 16 (1x)<br />
<br />
I have the 1080ti and the 980ti plugged into the 2x PCI-E 16 slots and all runs fine.<br />
(I get a nice 1:28 on the sickleyield render benchmark)<br />
<br />
However,<br />
When I plug the third 980ti into the&nbsp;1x PCI-E 16 (8x) slot Daz sees it and uses it with no problem, but the render times are much much slower (about 3:50 on the same benchmark)</span><br />
<br />
When I remove the third card the benchmarks goes&nbsp;back to normal, swapping the cards around makes no&nbsp;real difference. &nbsp;So, I&#39;m curious if using the 8x slot could be slowing down the two 16x slots?<br />
<br />
It&#39;s not an overheating issue as all cards are running between 60c-65c while rendering<br />
<br />
Anyone?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Prior to opening a support ticket, I&#39;m reaching out here because I&#39;m wondering if it&#39;s a known issue with a fix. Searching with Google and in forums did not yield anything helpful.</p>

<p>Description: Issue with click and drag functionality acting unpredictably. I go into my scene tab, click a figure, choose a body part or choose an object instead. I go into the parameters tab, either to use posing sliders or translation sliders to reposition whatever I&#39;ve chosen in scene tab. Upon clicking on slider, object is deselected and parameters disappear or completely other figure/body part or object in scene is selected and those parameters appear. Sometimes, I can click on plus or minus next to slider first, and then I am able to use slider without issue. Sometimes, it doesn&#39;t help. Sometimes, clicking on number on right and entering a new number will allow me to then use slider without it deselecting figure/object. Sometimes I will click and drag on camera controls in upper right corner, either pan or orbit, and instead of panning or orbiting, a figure in scene that was previously not selected will become selected and will be posed randomly instead of the camera moving. I will then need to undo previous action to fix. This behavior is becoming increasingly more common. Seems to have started within last few weeks, not sure when. Sometimes, if I have very few items or objects in the scene, it does not happen. Sometimes, restarting the program and reopening the scene seems to help for a short period of time, but it seems unpredictable.&nbsp;</p>

<p>System Information: I&#39;m on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit system, SP 1, 32 Gigs of RAM, i5-2500k @ 3.30 GHz, GeForce GTX 980 Ti, Surround on 3 monitors, with a 4th monitor plugged into motherboard GPU as part of desktop environment. Running current Daz Studio windowed across 3 monitors, so I can easily access desktop by clicking outside border. My mouse is a Corsair Glaive which is very sensitive (sometimes irritatingly so--would not buy again, but I digress). I have roughly 5700 products installed in Studio.</p>

<p>Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything anyone can suggest to me?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all, DIM is still showing stuff for download that I have just used CONNECT/INSTALL for in Studio. I have tried checkuing and uyncheckingthe Connect filters in the DIM setting but it makes no difference - I am double-downloading! It&#39;s always done this but seriously, at this stage in the game, why hasn&#39;t it been fixed yet? And if it HAS been fixed, can someone tell me what my filters have to be set to please, to exclude DIM showing me what I have already downloaded in DS? Thanks!</p>

<p>I have the feeling this has been already discussed&nbsp;somewhere but I&#39;ve been unable to find an answer to this issue so far.</p>

<p>It can be phrased differently:</p>

<p>1) How can do a &quot;Fit to..&quot; without the last step (doing deformation) ?<br />
2) How to use the Tranfer Utility so both figures use the same skeleton (Without enabling the Fit to.. option that deform the geometry at the end of the process..) ?<br />
3) Convert Prop to Figure with &quot;Inherit Skeleton of Parent&quot; enabled, but with actualy using the parent skeleton, not duplicate it, and keep the new figure in the hierarchy.</p>

<p>In short, I have one Figure, one Prop. I just want to transfert the rigging of the Figure to the Prop (this, I can get it working) but then having the new created Figure using the same skeleton as the first figure. Like when you do a Fit to.. Except when you do a Fit to.. the&nbsp;final geometry is deformed to conform to the Figure. I don&#39;t want that.</p>

<p>Not sure if I&#39;m making myself clear : )</p>

<p>Take the Convert Prop to Figure for instance. If I check &quot;Inherit Skeleton of Parent&quot;, then a Figure is created, moved outside of the Hierarchy, and only the root bone is duplicated. Not very useful. I was expecting that the Prop would be converted to a Figure and kept in the hierarchy, that is child of the Figure, then that the new figure actually use the joints of the Parent figure, not of a duplicated skeleton. This way I could simply transfer the weights to the new figure and that&#39;s it.</p>

<p>Take the Fit to.. option, this works wonderfully, the new figure is child of the original parent figure and use the actual joints of the parent figure, perfect! Except that at the end everything is ruined because the tool is trying to conform the mesh to the original Figure (which is its purpose I know but..).</p>

<p>Perhaps another way to put it: Granted you have two Figures using the exact same skeleton hierarchy, how to parent one Figure to the other one so the child Figure now uses the parent skeleton joints instead of its own ? Like a switch skeleton or something.</p>

<p>Anyway, I hope you get the idea.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Soo, I wanted to export my animations from Daz to something I&#39;m more comfortable with when it comes to rendering and scene building. First, I went with Unity 5.6 and was quite surprised to find that the imported Daz character was completely deformed, like a person trying to fit into a small box. Now, I&#39;ve seen some people bringing up similar issues and others always asked, if they tried importing into other programs. So, I tried importing into Blender, with the same result. The Keyframes are exactly where they should be, but the model itself is so deformed it&#39;s not even close to a human being anymore. Then, I tried importing it into Unreal Engine 4, and here&#39;s what I found: An obj. file gets imported without any problems(just as it is imported into Blender or Unity without any deformation), but when I tried to import the fbx. there were no bones except the root node to be imported. The whole object in Unreal was just one sphere indicating the root bone. And the most funny thing: I imported the fbx. back to Daz3d without any modification, just like I exported it, and I saw the same deformations I&#39;ve seen in Blender. Therefore I must conclude that the problem is with exporting the file and it lies within Daz. The question however is, how do I fix it? I&#39;ve tried several export options, going through every fbx. version avalaible and the results were always the same. Anyone knows how to get this right?</p>

<p>I picked up Whiskers for Genesis 3 (<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/whiskers-for-genesis-3-male-s" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/whiskers-for-genesis-3-male-s</a>) and finally gave it a shot.</p>

<p>When I use the NVIDIA camera mode, it looks perfectly fine.</p>

<p>When I go to render the figure, I get the attached image.</p>

<p>I messed with expanding it but the problem is, the test run works fine but it only messes up with the render (and I haven&#39;t seen significant improvements by using the expansion dials)</p>

<p>Any thoughts?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a very morphed G8M character for whom I made some clothing but then realized I could not make it conform to my morphed character by traditional means (Using the Transfer utility and using G3M as the Source). When I do, it&#39;s like it DOUBLES the morphs involved.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is there a way to tell the .OBJ to conform to the post-morphed character as it without backtracking to the original figure and then turning those morphs BACK up or do I have to completely remake the .OBJ to fit G8M?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a G2F base figure custom spun with various morphs.</p>

<p>I posed the right shoulder, forearm, hand and fingers how I wanted them, and then attempted to use the symmetry command to copy those poses to the left shoulder, forearm, hand and all bones of the hand. I&#39;ve done this a hundred times before, but for some reason on this figure it will only copy the pose for the forearm and nothing else.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried the same thing on other figures in the scene and it works fine. I&#39;ve saved, closed and reopened the scene. And it still doesn&#39;t work.</p>

<p>I made sure all bones were unlocked, I can&#39;t figure out what is causing the problem. There are no error messages. I even tried transfering one bone at a time, but that doesn&#39;t work either. Seems to be some weird bug in this figure where only the forearm will transfer across.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to setup my workspace so that I could work remotely and I had quite a hard time to get rid of the lag and some other stuff. The only problem left is that I if I connect remotely when I click the cube in the right corner it goes like crazy, so I was wondering if there are some buttons or a way for me to create some shortcuts to rotate the camera/perspective look using only the keyboard like I use the W,A,S,D to move around and Q,E to go up or down. Is there any way for me to create some buttons like&nbsp;U,I for the x-axis J,K for the y-axis and N,M for the z-axis?</p>

<p>Or even better using the arrows...&nbsp;</p>

<p>If someone was wondering on how to do the remote without lag, stop trying with team viewer or other programs, and just to the Windows Remote Desktop way. It doesn&#39;t try to send the whole screen, but minimal datas.</p>

<p>1: Whenever I try and fit a G3 clothing item onto G8 figs the arms are always messed up. Am I missing something?</p>

<p>2: Whenever I put a G3 pose on a G8 fig...the arms are messed up. Am I missing something?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;For a while I have been having this problem where my SSD&#39;s space is getting eaten up.&nbsp; After rounding up the usual suspects and dealng with them I am left with Daz Studio. &nbsp;&nbsp; My 3d hobby has taken quite a toll on my hard drives.&nbsp; It appears that in my users folder that Daz is keeping a<span> copy of everything that I have installed.&nbsp; Is it okay to delete these?&nbsp; I imagine its just a copy, right? &nbsp; The folders I am talking about are in the Daz 3D/Install Manager/Downloads folder tree.</span></p>

<p><span>I use a SSD for windows to boot to, etc and have a secondary and much larger hd for my games and other programs. I have been considering moving my installation to my secondary drive, but would rather not until I have to. &nbsp;</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>HI, I just spent a heap of money going from Mac to Windows so that I can have nice Iray renders with Nvidia GPUs&nbsp; . . . The first thing I noticed is that all of my old Mac images are darker and yellowish in Windows - but that is another question. .&nbsp;</p>

<p>Where can I find how to adjust settings in Iray and what settings to adjust? So far all of the vids I have seen seem to be talking about settings that either aren&#39;t in my DAZ Studio 4.10 version of Iray or I already know about them because they don&#39;t affect rendering.</p>

<p>Where&#39;s the useful stuff so I can use Iray properly?</p>

I would like to update some of these images to G3 or G8 but am not sure how to go about getting that original outfit to work on the newer figures. Nothing fits the characters like that outfit.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have an older file that I was working on a couple years back before the switch to .Duf files. &nbsp;The .Daz file will open. &nbsp;And I can save it as a .Duf. &nbsp;But the new .Duf file crashes everytime I tried to open it.</p>

<p>Question 1. &nbsp;Is it possible to still save files as .Daz files in more recent Daz software? &nbsp;.Duf is part of the problem</p>

<p>The second part of the problem I tracked down to a Dynamic Flared skirt. &nbsp;Interestingly. &nbsp;Though I purchased it from Daz and its in my purchase history. &nbsp;When I go to the catalog page. &nbsp;I find a &quot;404 not found&quot; &nbsp;The skirt appears to be whats causing the .Duf file to crash. &nbsp;And I need this to work.</p>

<p>Question 2. &nbsp;Anyone else have this problem, and did they find a solution? &nbsp;I posted this problem to technical support. &nbsp;But I have no idea if they&#39;ll have a solution. &nbsp;So I&#39;m posting it here as well.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>For some reason, for the last few days i have been unable to see the full selection of various categories; especially ones offered on sale. today for example i wanted to look into the $20 off DAZ originals selction but was literally shown 0 out of 7200 (or whatever the second number was). Even with the don&#39;t show items already bought tab off i only see a small fraction of the supposed number of selections.</p>

<p>Can someone that has this product test to see if they are getting the same issues?&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have used it in the past and never had a problem but now the hair loads with no texture in it&#39;s default super long form. None of the style lengths work when they are applied, it just stays long, and if i add a hair color the cap stays across the forehead. Something to do with the transparancy maps not loading maybe??? I&#39;m not familure enough with the technical stuff to know what&#39;s going on. I wanted to see if anyone else has the problem, or knew of a posable easy solution before I put a ticket in.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>None of the mane or tails come in when using the IDG Lray Essentials for the horse. It keeps asking for missing files, I used whatever the Installer downloaded. And what it&#39;s looking for supposedly is in a Runtime folder... I couldn&#39;t find a Runtime folder for Daz. I&#39;m familiar with it in Poser. But this said it worked with Daz 3D 4.10.</p>

<p>Another question, when I just use my Horse 2... he never comes in with no mane or tail.</p>

<p>Help?</p>
