      <description><![CDATA[<p>Attached a few images to illustrate the difference in pose between daz and 3ds max. Tried collada as well as fbx.</p>

<p>I feel like the best solution would be to bake the pose before exporting so what-you-see-is-what-you-get type deal. Is that possible?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Otherwise, any help on making a pose retain close to 100% accuracy would be much appreciated.</p>

<p>I purchased this^ yesterday, but i must not know what I&#39;m doing because I cant seem to get it to work...</p>

<p>Heres what I&#39;m doing. I&#39;ve found the presets in my content gallery. I&#39;m selecting the piece of clothing i want to make DForce-y(aka I want to simulate so it will be flop and flap realistically in my scens), then I double clock on the preset that best fits the piece of clothing I have selected(example, My doctor character is wearing a labcoat, so I&#39;m sellecting it, then double clicking of of the jacket resets), but when i click simulate its telling me nothing in the scene is DForce-y so i cant simulate because simulating wouldnt do anything..</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I noticed some Iray textures do not appear correctly in the viewer screen. When I render the model, the texture comes out nice, but it would be helpful if I could see the texture on the model correctly before rendering, especially if I&#39;m playing around with makeup for characters. I noticed that I don&#39;t have this problem if I choose 3Delight textures. Is there some kind of setting that I need to correctly set so that I can see Iray textures correctly, or at least as close as possible to the actual texture?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Like the title says, I added displacement mapping to a daz primitive plane and it looks as it should when rendered in IRAY. However if I import an obj model of a&nbsp;plane and add the same material to it, displacement mapping seems to not work on it.&nbsp; I haven&#39;t been able to get displacement working on any imported obj model no matter the resolution/topogoly/displacement settings.&nbsp; Is there something I need to do to to allow imported meshes to work with displacement?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am new to Daz but have been working in blender for a while now.&nbsp; I have successfully uploaded my blender obj file into Daz but am lost as to how to get the &quot;color&quot; back into my work.&nbsp; I have googled the heck out of the subject and can&#39;t find anything newer than a 2013 Sickleyield entry discussing it.&nbsp; Unfortunately, her post was vague (to me anyway, assumed I had a lot more knowledge than I do.) and I was not able to get my materials to reference back to my obj inport.&nbsp; Also, considering the age of the post I wasn&#39;t even sure it was valid with the new smart content stuff.</p>

<p>Anyone out there have any helpful hints on this?</p>

Got the confirmation email with the link, but no matter what I do, I get a &quot;Wrong Gift Card Code&quot; message. Tried copying and pasting the code when I went to check out. Same message.</p>

<p>Is there some trick to using these things, or do I need to open a support ticket <em>muy pronto</em>&nbsp;(since there&#39;s an&nbsp;item I want to snag while it&#39;s still on sale)?</p>

<p>Using Daz 4.10.<br />
I&#39;ve tried using the bathsuit as a geoshell with a nice shader I made, but because its not touching the body in all spots it has blotches all over. Sorry I can show pics here.&nbsp;<br />
I know I could do it using L.I.E. But I don&#39;t know a way that I could impose or copy the bathingsuit to the skin. I&#39;m not explaining that right, but I know that if I could get the bathsuit template/layout on the skin. I can black everything out, and make the bathsuit white,&nbsp;and I can use that as a diffusion.<br />
But I&#39;m not sure how to go about getting the bathingsuit on the skin. Maybe there is a product here that will let me do that? That would be awesome. I read in <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/52414/creating-tan-lines">this</a> post&nbsp;something about shader baker but couldn&#39;t find it anywhere, or maybe I misunderstood the concept.</p>

<p>I have a few other products like a crop top which are All Limited to the Torso texture.</p>

<p>I am of course open to other suggestions on how to do this. I have a beginners knowledge of using Blender (I use this for morphs) and Blacksmith (I use for tattoo&#39;s on seems, mostly the back) if these can be used, but I&#39;m not sure how.&nbsp;</p>

I don&#39;t use iray because i use mac. the previews are perfect, but the renders come out with missing map on the eye sclera. see images below.       <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m currently working on a solid prop with some moving parts.</p>

<p>While rigging it, I noticed something very strange: Bones rotate around their local coordinates (as they should) but they translate according to the coordinates of the base object. This is completely illogical. It means that an object with moving parts, that move in directions other than x-y-z cannot be realized in DazStudio !</p>

<p>Is there anything that can be done about this? Like set the bone to always use its local coordinates? I mean that&#39;s what a bone is for, right .... otherwise, I could just have a vertex group and move that around.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I invested in a Wacom tablet which came bundled with Zbrush Core. I have, I think, installed the software correctly, but I am having problems. My main computer does not offer me GoZ in Daz, and my laptop offers it but claims that my software is incorrectly installed. I feel sure it is something obvious to the experts, but I am a blunderer and have no training in graphics or computing other than self-teaching. Is there anyone who can help me please? I managed to send a figure to ZBrush by making it into an object, and then messed about with it before again saving it as a changed object, but when I import it back into Daz it does not acccept textures and will no longer act as a figure - and I don&#39;t know how to change a figure to an object and back to a figure again.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been using GTX 980 (4GB) in my system. I also installed a titan V today.&nbsp;Latest drivers is installed and it runs successfully.</p>

<p>Daz studio (latest - as of now ends with .123) sees the card under advanced iray options as &quot;Titan V&quot;</p>

<p>If I select both cards and hit render, only GTX 980 renders with Iray.</p>

<p>If I hit render with only Titan V selected, render info window appears and disappears quickly. At the end of the&nbsp;log file, I found this:</p>

<p>2018-01-10 18:55:15.005 WARNING: dzneuraymgr.cpp(307): Iray ERROR - module:category(IRAY:RENDER):&nbsp; &nbsp;1.0&nbsp; &nbsp;IRAY&nbsp; &nbsp;rend error: Cannot render: found no usable devices.<br />
2018-01-10 18:55:15.005 Iray Render error: Invalid parameters (NULL pointer).</p>

<p>So disappointed to can&#39;t give it a try. Anything I can do?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Sorry to ask so many questions, but I bought this because I wanted just the ponytail, so the rest of the hair could fit under a helmet that lets the tail stick out.&nbsp; I turned the opacity for everything but the tail off 100% and it looks great in preview.&nbsp; When I render, though, the bangs on the left side still show.&nbsp; I tried making sure they were grouped to a 0-opacity surface (bangs) with the geometry editor, but they were still there in render.&nbsp; I also tried putting the opacity down to 100% on everything (including the parts I wanted to see), and they were still there in the render.&nbsp; It isn&#39;t another product, either...I can make it go away by turning off visibility for the Rochelle Hair over in the scenes tab, but no other way. Any recourse for this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve downloaded and installed Stephanie 4 for Poser 9 and I don&#39;t think it&#39;s working correctly. There&#39;s a figure in DAZ People called Stephanie 4 which I double-click on, and I get V4 appearing in the scene (I guess because S4 is based on V4) and spawning about 6 inches below floor level. Then in Poses&gt;Daz&#39;s Victoria 4&gt;Morph Injections&gt;INJ Stephanie 4, I double-click on INJ Stephanie 4. I don&#39;t see any changes yet. I go into the Proportions folder and try to modify things that way. Nothing I inject seems to make any changes. Also, the character&#39;s few morph dials don&#39;t seem to do anything. How do I fix this? I think it might be the way I installed it but I don&#39;t know, especially because I couldn&#39;t find documentation explaining how you&#39;re supposed to load/use&nbsp;the figure.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone!</p>

<p>I&#39;m doing a lot of things at the same time, and today&#39;s&nbsp;question is: Can I bind a Dformer parameter to a figure?</p>

<p>I have an orca but his tongue can&#39;t narrow, so I decided to create &nbsp;my own narrow&nbsp;parameter with Dformers.</p>

<p>The result is pretty cool, see below, but now I want to bind it to the jaw parameter for a quick access, like in the second picture.</p>

<p>How can I do that? When I try to spawn them, nothing happen, no messages and no parameter in the morph tab either.</p>

      <title>IRay is using Shared memory as vRam!?</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, I was noticing yesterday, that In my one scene I was currently over by about 4gbs of required texture memory for a total 12gbs. However the scene was still rendering just fine without issues on my two gtx 1080sc (8gbs vRAM per card.) I noticed however my computers performence was awful. And I mean awful, I hadn&#39;t experienced this type of performence before while rendering. In fact, it was reminding me of how a computer acts when its out of regular RAM, or running out. The cursor was freezing, and what not, and everything was reaaal slow. But the render was still rendering away! So I ended up checking out my computers used resources and in fact my System RAM was at 99%-100% on and off, and CPU was 23%. Daz was using about 18% of my CPU, and about 15-16gbs of my sys RAM. I then went and checked my GPU overclocking software, and in fact they were both maxed out 2040-2056mhz with 8079mbs used on both. It greatly confused me as I have read, and been told everywhere that IRay is Vram only. So just for kicks, I went out and purchased another 16gbs of RAM and tossed it in my computer, and decided to double everything that was in that current scene. I now had 10 Genesis 8 characters and about 20 (enviorment objects like walls and decor.) I for-sure thought my computer was just going to crash, or drivers would crash, and I&#39;d be looking at a black screen until I restarted my computer, OR it would switch to CPU rendering. Render info menu pops up. Says I&#39;m at 21gbs for Device 0 and 1. And then it starts doing some iterations... I check my sys RAM usage its at 80% (with the 32gbs) now with about 24gbs used... I&#39;m extremely confused here. Cuz from what I can tell some of these numbers don&#39;t even add up.</p>

<p>Does IRay have a Shared Memory option? If not then how am I able to render these scenes with my GPUs?</p>

<p>If this is some sort of bug tho... I am never changing my Driver and Daz version lol</p>

      <description><![CDATA[I have all three of the plugins catalyzer,standard and the player. Can't get it to work anymore.Keep getting a message about one of them needs be uninstalled. But doesnt say which. Didnt have issues til catalyzer but I deactivated that and still having issues.]]></description>
