      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m about to get serious about my scene optimizations, and I&#39;d like to track some of the information that gets captured in the log file. Before I start trying to figure this out myself, I figured I should ask if there may be any existing scripts available that captures information like texture memory allocation, iterations until convergence, render time, etc. Mostly stuff for IRAY.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I know it&#39;s all stuff that&#39;s in the log already but it&#39;s a bit tedious to extract it out. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Cheers</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Just purchased International Space Station. I select the 2017 configuration and then try doing a small 400 x 280 test render using Iray. The computer just chugs and chugs, nothing happens. The computer becomes extremely sluggish and it&#39;s difficult to kill Daz Studio.</p>

<p>I try again with 3Delight and it&#39;s still very slow at 400 x 280.</p>

<p>Any suggestions short of getting a refund? Can&#39;t work like this.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi guys!<br />
I&#39;m having an issue. I&#39;ve imported an FBX model to Daz3D, but the bones are not child of the figures, as you can see in the image.</p>

<p><img alt="" src="https://image.ibb.co/c621E7/ddddd.jpg" />Everything works fine, when I rotate the bones, the meshes rotates as they should.&nbsp;<br />
But once I save the scene and load it again, the bones loose their relation to the meshes. I rotate them but nothing happens.<br />
Any idea how to keep things working after saving?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I looked through the forums, and did an internet search and found nothing involving an answer to my problem.&nbsp; I have the classic bob hair which usises Iray.&nbsp; I can&#39;t use Iray beacuse my computer doesn&#39;t have GPU, so I have to use 3Delight.&nbsp; When I render my image, the hair renders completely white.&nbsp; I have bowl cut hair which also does tis, but if I manually apply the textures, it renders fine.&nbsp; Does anyone have any suggestions?</p>

More of them could fit that way without the need to use the scrolling arrows. Now, I can undock my tabs but the simply won&#39;t &quot;stick&quot; to that right edge. I just reinstalled Windiws and my DS and other than that it seems (for now) to work well. What did I miss?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a bad problem! Iray is rendering on my CPU only, and that&#39;s causing superheating. This just started two days ago.</p>

<p>My video card is a GTX-1060.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using Studio 4.10.</p>

<p>My test scene is three G3Fs, nude, with hair, Anagenesis 2 skin system, and an HDRI. Low resource requirements.</p>

<p>Windows diagnostics shows the video card is working perfectly. No sluggishness with my browser, games, or videos. Only issue is with DS.</p>

<p>I installed the latest nVidia driver, with no effect to GPU non-usage.</p>

<p>Video card monitor and Windows Task Manager both show the GPU is not being used for the render, and Task Manager shows CPU is at 100% usage.</p>

<p>Originally, I had all the boxes checked in Render Settings &gt; Advanced. I unchecked CPU, with no effect to GPU non-usage.</p>

<p>This is what the log is showing me:</p>

<p>GPU monitor showed that at the point the render began (the point that Iray switched to CPU) that of 6G available VRAM, only 2.8G had been used. That seems to be a massive amount of memory usage for three nudes with hair and no set. Even so, there is more than 3G VRAM available to handle the render.</p>

<p>I rendered much more complicated scenes with more characters, full clothes, full sets, and tons of metal only several days ago, on the GPU, with no issues.</p>

<p>How do I fix this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been building my own custom categories for my library of content so that I can find things easier based on how my mind works instead of spending hours searching through an ever growing content library.&nbsp; In doing so I have noticed that some things do not show up in the custom category assigned.&nbsp; Take First Bastion&#39;s Breaking Waves product, the main props do not show up in the custom category even if I go to the library location on disk and do create category from.&nbsp; Also they do not show up in the product view either.&nbsp; There are a few things I have noticed that do not show up this way which makes what I am trying to do very frustrating.</p>

Whenever I go to apply it to a G3F character using auto-fit it crashes Daz completely. I am using V 4.10<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When trying to export a simple character Michael 4 with clothes and some movements from aniblocks as an fbx file nothing works as it did in earlier versions of DAZ3D.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The export of a simple FBX file and a simple character from DAZ3D takes about two hours to finalize! This is way too long and nothing like your earlier versions of DAZ3D could manage in no time at all.</p>

<p>I have now tried different settings but the results are really bad when trying to open them in the same old version of Lightwave 3D 9.6 as I have used successfully earlier when working with DAZ3D exported fbx files.</p>

<p>Anyone knows how to solve this?</p>

<p>It&#39;s poser style content, so the dress itself is in HR and LR versions, whilst the materials are in Poses because reasons. But when you load the dress, it just loads as a prop parented to the chest - it&#39;s not rigged at all. The page in the store shows the dress in other than T poses, even nicely draped over a sitting figure, but offers no clue as to how this might be achieved.</p>

<p>Does anybody have this product and know how to use it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I was wondering how te setup the HDRI ligthing for a beach scene like so many users do create?</p>

<p>I purchased a HDRI lighting package but how do i apply or even create these beach scenes that we see so may do?</p>

<p>I take it i use a Primitive background beach scene but then do i just double click on the type of lighting i want for my scene using my HDRI? Do i create a distant light and apply to it?</p>

<p>or do i have to apply it in my Environment options in the Render options.? I hope i make sense here</p>

      <description><![CDATA[I am a newby when it comes to creating new content for daz.   I want to create some really good looking toons for Genesis 3, and Im already pretty good with zbrush and maya.  But I have no idea on how/where to start when it comes to making a fully working content/morph for genesis 3. I think I have to move and resize the eyes for genesis 3, and also move the bones around for body as well to fit the toon shape that Ill be sculpting, .  So this will mean that I have to do a lot more than just bring in a new sculpted obj from zbrush and apply the morph.   I also will have to do textures and make new clothing via MD.    Is there a tutorial or lesson to learn how to do this anywhere?. Which merchant resources do I have to buy to get started?. 

Any info would be very appreciated.

<p>I was wondering if anyone could help with an issue I&#39;ve been experiencing in Studio 4.10.</p>

<p>When I load some models I get a shadow appearing on some parts like the one circled.</p>

<p>I&#39;m not a model maker and would like to know if it&#39;s possible to smooth this out in Studio or if it has to be done in a modelling program.</p>

<p>A friend who uses Poser desn&#39;t experience this problem.</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to drop two clothing items onto a floor. I loaded both items without fitting them to any character. I made both D-Force Dynamic Objects, and left the default settings. In the Simulation tab, I left the default Gravity and Air Resistance settings and set &quot;Start Bones from Memorized Pose&quot; to Off, as recommended in <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/208141/how-to-use-dforce-creating-a-blanket-draping-clothes-on-furniture-and-much-more/p1">RGcincy&#39;s tutorial</a>. The tutorial did not mention setting keyframes, so I simulated with Current Frame. And ...</p>

<p>... apart from roughly a bazillion &#39;spring issue&#39; reports, because both items have very dense meshes ...</p>

<p>... basically nothing happens. The shorts seem to shrink. The edges of the top ripple a little. Neither loses its fitted-on-a-human shape. Neither falls to the floor.</p>

<p>I edited the rigging to change both from rigged figures to regular props. Same result: the shorts seem to shrink some, the edges of the top ripple a little, neither loses its fitted-on-a-human shape, and neither falls to the floor.</p>

<p>I tried selecting both and, in the Dynamic Clothing tab, clicking Drape. It says &quot;No cloth items selected.&quot;</p>

<p>Have I missed some setting somewhere?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Me again, next dumb question as I get back into Daz...</p>

<p>I think I successfully reinstalled all my Daz content.</p>

<p>I have some scenes saved from an install on a different machine a few years ago. When I try and load the old file, it says it can&#39;t find the elements. I&#39;m pretty sure the scenes only use stuff I have downloaded and installed again - I got into the habit of creating a simple scene for each new product I bought. Sometimes it takes a while beforre reporting the error, like it found something but got nowhere...</p>

<p>So can anyone suggest what I might do to succcessfuly load these scenes, or diagnose the problem in more detail?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently installed daz 3d and purchased headshop 9.2. I&nbsp;installed it and as soon as I&nbsp;launch the headshop software in the edit menu it crashes&nbsp;with the following message:&nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;Headshop closed before it could create the necessary files &hellip;&rdquo;</p>

<p>Has anyone else had this issue? Can&#39;t get tech support from&nbsp;Daz as it is an addon and no response from abalone llc.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve just made the transition from daz studio 3 to daz studio 4.9 and have 2 big issues i need help with. Bear in mind that I imported all my daz studio 3 content into daz studio 4.9, so i&#39;m wondering if maybe that could be what&#39;s causing these issues. The first one is not being able to pose multiple figure nodes when selecting them in the scene tab (e.g. selecting both of Victoria 4.2&#39;s eyes and only one moves). The Second is objects that were made hidden in a scene in daz studio 3 cannot be made visible in daz studio 4.9. I readlly want to get into 4.9, but I can&#39;t as long as these issues continue. Please Help!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>question: I might have to get a laptop with windows 10 on it. I want to still use studio 4.8. Will it work with windows 10?</p>

<p>i have windows 7 and have tried to update it to various version of Daz Studio 4.10 but I lose all my categories.</p>

<p>i am not at my house because I was napping last wed and a car going beyond fast crashed into my bedroom and landed upside down on the lower part of the bed trashing a good portion of our house. I was so lucky because injury wise I only had a 3 inch gash on my head, but we cannot go home and I don&rsquo;t know how long it will be as well as we will have to move because I will not sleep in that room again. Art is my only outlet for the debilitating pain I have from fibromyalgia so while I don&rsquo;t want to I probably will look into buying a laptop. In the past if I can keep the same paths, I can just put my content into the same place it is on my main computer. Any ideas would be helpful. Right now I am still in a state of shock which I think is all that is keeping me going. My husband couldn&rsquo;t even get to me but since my bedroom no longer had walls, someone came in over the reckage and carried my and my bloody nightgown out. A neighbor I hadn&rsquo;t ever met was a doctor and cleaned the wound before the ambulance took me to the hospital.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>The Universal Tool (rotation and translation on all 3 axis) has changed behavior and is now moving objects in my scene by large &quot;jump to grid&quot; points rather than smoothly without jumping.&nbsp; This began after the last Studio update.&nbsp; I can&#39;t find how to turn this &quot;feature&quot; off... it is a major pain for me, I use that tool for almost all object movements and adjustments.</p>

<p>Yes I do know how to use the Parameters rotation and translation bars, but that is very inconvenient to use all the time.</p>
