      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi! I have here a full charater morph that I did while ago. The morph includes the body and the head, but I&#39;d like to recreate a morph from this character that doesn&#39;t include the head and face shape so I can apply it on a new genesis 3 model. I am sure it is possible; it might be hard or super easy and I just don&#39;t see atm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>One idea that I have but dont know how to do would be to morph lock the head part of a G3F model and apply my full character morph so that the head is not changed. Then create a new OBJ morph from it. Does that make any sens? Is morph locking some kind of thing with Daz?</p>

<p>Does anybody have&nbsp;a strategy to go on with that?&nbsp;</p>

I&#39;m using this astronaut rig and when I try to export the FBX and open in Cinema 4D, there are 2 sets of bones- one posed and one in the default T-Pose, the mesh unfortunately is not attahing itself to the posed version.       <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay,&nbsp;I was looking around at some of my collected products I&#39;d gotten and not used yet, thinking &quot;I might ought to use these particular things in a render soon...&quot;</p>

<p>I vaguely remember clicking on one of the assets in <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/my-little-place">My LIttle Place</a>, and then a couple hours later went to render a scene, and discovered that the little camera-frame-size-and-shape frame thingy that helpfully appears in my Render panel Viewport had changed to some wide, shallow rectrangular thingy.&nbsp; Before that, this outline usually was roughly the size and shape of my whole viewport area.&nbsp; Any idea how to make that frame thingy&nbsp;go back to being more square?&nbsp; Its causing an inconvenience of having to zoom out a bit to fit an object into that space when I save out a scene or a scene-subset to avoid the top and bottom of the image from being chopped off in the saved out thumbnail image.&nbsp; oO</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This is a recent issue, as I have had Sakura 8 installed for months now, but there is something really weird happening with her base figure and other models.</p>

<p>If I load a Non Sakura store model, such as Aiko 8, when loading the figure, it loads it with a 100% Sakura Morph applied to the character. Similarly, when I load a custom character I have made with Sakura as a base, the Sakura morph does not load, and I have to turn it back up to 100% to get the figure right.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, everyone.</p>

<p>I have had Daz for a long time and this is the first time this has happened. Every time I try to preview my scene with NVIDIA, Daz just closes. This started yesterday. I even tried making three different scenes to test whether or not it was something in the scene itself; didn&rsquo;t fix the problem. I went back to a previous build of windows and that didn&rsquo;t work either. Today&nbsp;it previewed, but the icons (including the start button) on my taskbar disappeared and my desktop was completely black. I uninstalled and reinstalled Daz and that also did nothing. I have now backed up everything and am resetting Windows. While I wait, does anybody have any ideas as to what the problem might be?</p>

<p>I am using the 3DU &#39;The Old&nbsp;Shoehouse&#39; and when I render it at 4K it means fortunately only the leather texture blurry. So I have the DAZ Originals &#39;Leather &amp; Fur&#39; iRay shaders and so I replace the original leather materials on the shoehouse with the DO Leather &amp; Fur leather and tile x30. Now though there is a clear tiling pattern on the shoe from the DO leather materials.</p>

<p>How to make the tiling moire patterns go away without setting tiling to x1? I thought all such iRay materials that are sold as tiling were meant to be seamless with no moire patterns when tiled above x1 but that is not the case.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have recently got <a href="https://www.daz3d.com/pw-shaders-bundle" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/pw-shaders-bundle</a> and I have problem as it seems it doesn&#39;t work. I have installed it manualy and I think I have done it good as with all others shaders I am using.</p>

<p>But there was unusual folder (DS 4.5 ds 4.4 public build private build - as seen on pictures 1-3, i opened that folder and copied shaders folder and changed name to shader presets to have both as more common is shader presets and I use it mostly)</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now I am trying to use for example pw Efect and Offline Documents (online site seems to be offline) says that I need to apply first pw Effect neutral but interestingly nothing happens even there is no undo action as nothing has happened (tutorial says i need to choose object and one material. I don&#39;t know how to choose material, I know how to apply usual shaders in surface tab, but I am not sure what material is). Then I try to aplly shaders from pw Effects sources and some works some not but they all doesnt work good, and it seems something is missing. It can be seen on pictures 4-6. Also one curious thing is that pw ghost doesn&#39;t have Neutral file like others and later other source shaders doesn&#39;t work good either, as they needed Neutral file first. It probably assumes that it is Neutral file from pw Effect as I have seen similar shaders there if not the same.</p>

<p>That is about it. I have read some threads on the forum about pw shaders but I still can&#39;t figure how to use them. I am using daz studio 4.10 latest version and I am also not sure if these shaders are supported in it, or maybe I have not installed them good (as they have some script files, but I think I did probably))</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Apologies in advance if this is already explained somewhere, but I just upgraded my DDR4 RAM from 4 GB to 16 GB and I&#39;m not sure what is &quot;supposed&quot; to be different in DS.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m running Windows 10 so having more than 4 GB of RAM seemed pretty much necessary. But DS still takes the same amount of time to load with 16 GBs as 4 GBs. I haven&#39;t noticed any changes in how DS responds during scene set-up (using texture shading).&nbsp;I noticed that Iray renders don&#39;t crash like they did before, which is nice but I have render settings set to use the GPU.&nbsp;</p>

<p>So if during Iray renders, the memory demands overflow the GPU and go to CPU, does the extra desktop RAM actually make a difference? Are the other ways the added RAM should be improving work in DS but I&#39;m just not noticing it?&nbsp;</p>

<p>basically I&#39;m trying to get the most out of what I have. Thanks in advance for any input</p>

<p>p.s.---I have tested the 16 GB of RAM and it&#39;s working just fine.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve got the 4.10 public build installed, so that I can keep DS 4.9 on the pc just in case I wanted to go back to it for some reason - thought I&#39;ve only been using 4.10.</p>

<p>All of a sudden, none of the geografts for either G3F, G3M or G8F are applying correctly. I don&#39;t have any geografts for G8M, but I assume they&#39;d be messed up too.</p>

<p>Before lunch, I was using the Legacy UV&#39;s - V4 for G3F with no problems. Came back after lunch, loaded up a different scene and found that any geografts are applying with &quot;poke through&quot;. It&#39;s the same with any type of geograft - legacy uv&#39;s that have the geograft &quot;patches&quot; for the head, shoulders and legs, or the anatomical elements (official and 3rd party ones).</p>

<p>Curiously, they all work fine in DS 4.9, it&#39;s just the same content in 4.10. I tried loading a figure and applying the anatomical elements in DS 4.9, saved it as a scene and opened it in 4.10, and sure enough, the geograft is messed up again.</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated...</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, I&#39;ve run into an annoying little snag.&nbsp; I created a scene subset, then realised I needed to adjust one of the sliders before saving, so I redid the item with the adjustment made and tried to save&nbsp;it out under the same name as before to overwrite the old copy, but accidently got the name of the new one slightly different, so it left the old copy intact.&nbsp; I then physically removed the obsolete copy ouf of the scene subsets folder (by going into the folder independently of DS and moving it out of there to a holding-pattern folder elsewhere).&nbsp; Now it shows up in Saved Files with an exclamation-triangle symbol.&nbsp; I gather from <a rel="nofollow" href="http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/software/content_manager/cm_missingcontent">over here</a> that I can tell DS to remove selected items from the DB by left-clicking it and selecting certain options, or by right-clicking it and selecting certain options, but... nothing of the sort is appearing in my menus.</p>

<p>Also, that wiki page seems to have been missing its images for as long as I&#39;ve been going to that guide (which is probably a year or so now). Without the reference images, the guide is largely useless, because so many of the instructions there seem to assume you&#39;ve got the images in front of you to go by.&nbsp; It apears the whole wiki system got migrated over from some other website, but they somehow didn&#39;t bring the pictures over with the move.&nbsp;&nbsp;I kept thinking the missing pictures problem was a temporary whoopsy&nbsp;and that they&#39;d have the images restored in a couple weeks or something, but.... well, they&#39;ve been gone <strong><em>months </em></strong>now, and there&#39;s no sign at all they&#39;re trying to bring the images back in.&nbsp; When I asked <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/192271/are-some-of-the-official-documentation-pages-here-broken-or-is-it-just-me#latest">over here</a>&nbsp;about this, nothing&nbsp;useful came of it.&nbsp; oO</p>

<p>But I digress.&nbsp; How do I remove the 4 orphaned files from my Saved Files tab?&nbsp; There is no Remove Orphans option anywhere I have been able to find from those instructions.&nbsp; I don&#39;t want to do the Cleaning Up the Database option, because that sounds like it might take hours. I am on the Highway interface style.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Having issues with DiM, currently telling me that my password is incorrect yet it is correct.. And when I do get in it may or may not download and that if I download a few files one will download, and then the speed drops right off and then nothing.. And this is only since today, as before today it has been working fine so not sure what is up..</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I screwed up big time and mistakenly converted&nbsp;files of 3d models (obj files) to SWF(Switch Sound File Converter).How do I convert them back to obj with Daz?</p>

<p>I usually use bryce 7 or poser 10 for creating my pictures so I&#39;m not familiar with Daz at all.I did get the first file converted but only the mtl came through</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So the title is a little confusing I know, so here&#39;s what I need:</p>

<p>So you know how certain props come with an &quot;auto fit&quot; to a certain figure&#39;s hands so you can move them around and the item follows the hand so you don&#39;t have to pose the prop every single time you move the model? For example: &quot;Handgun for Genesis 8 Male.&quot; Well, say I wanted to auto-fit the handfun for Genesis 8 Female, or it&#39;s a set of swords that have no figure tied to them.</p>

<p>How can I &quot;graft&quot; a prop to a figure that isn&#39;t tied to the prop so I can move it and the figure around?</p>
