      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve never really had any poblems with crashes in the past years using DS, but since a week or two, it keeps crashing every 10 minutes or so. The warnings I&#39;m getting from the bug report are:</p>

<p>WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(5737): Could not find output property for formula: Genesis8Male</p>

<p>And:</p>

<p>WARNING: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile<br />

<p>What is happening here? My savefiles load fine, so it doesn&#39;t seem like anything is missing.</p>

<p>The &quot;jumping viewport issue&quot; that was mentioned by many others gets worse and worse... by now, it affects me selecting objects or figures in the scene and trying to move them around with the universal tool arrows: every time I click on one of the arrows to, say, move a figure a bit down, it first jumps upwards and then I can move it... needless to say, this makes the whole program basically unsuable.</p>

<p>Does anybody have any ideas at this point? Support etc. seem to ignore it, since this is an issue that is a few months old by now.</p>

<p>What can I try?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been using Headshop for a while and then installed Daz 4.10. Now, when I try to run Headshop, it fails telling me that the character doesn&#39;t have a valid runtime folder. Could someone explain what this might mean and what I might have to do to fix this? I&#39;m trying to use it with a Gen2 character.</p>

<p>I have the current version of daz studio installed&nbsp;DAZStudio_4.10.0.123_Win64</p>

<p>and the current version of Measuremetrics installed&nbsp;DS4_MeasureMetrics_1.4.0.123_Win64</p>

<p>My issue is that I downloaded and installed it because it had been updated for Genesis 8 , or so I thought.</p>

<p>At first , I uninstalled the previous version to install the new version but when the new version&nbsp;was installed,&nbsp;I restarted my pc then opened Daz studio I noticed there were no measuremetric folders for genesis 8, and I did not have to put any serial number in for the plugin as it was active (green)</p>

<p>I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling several times with the same results, I even uninstalled dazstudio and re installed but nothing changed.</p>

<p>If anyone has any advise, it would me much appreciated.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just got a new Windows machine with a 1080 ti that works great in VR but I can&#39;t get DS to even open! CS had me uninstall and remove some files, uninstall plugins, restart, reinstall which I did, but it still won&#39;t open. Here is a screenshot of the warning and a zip of the bug report if anyone can make heads or tails of it. It&#39;s been two weeks now and I can&#39;t even open the program! I appreciate anyone&#39;s help!</p>

<p>Also I nstalled the 64 bit version so not sure why it is saying 32. And NVIDIA had me install drivers for VR and not sure if that is screwing it up. The VR works fine.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought this product and finally got some preciuos off work time to play with it and I am stummped. The letters are set up on a &quot;bone&quot; system and you space them by using x translate for Lo2. Lo3 etc after parenting the letters to each bone but when ever I try the thing and go from scene to parameters I only get x,y,z translate for the first bone which doesn&#39;t need to be moved?!!!?!! The Lo2 , Lo3 etc parameters start at &quot;twist&quot; &quot;side to side&#39; ect. the first 3 options x,y, and z are missing?? I have no way to x translate the next letter over. Am I missing a setting or a screen I should have clicked on first? The Tutorial states that we can simply set the X Translate for Lo2 ~Lo18 to a number and whalah but I am definately missing the whalah moment here. Why do the x,y and z translate sliders vanish?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m hoping someone here can help me out - picked up some of Polish&#39;s firearms over the weekend and enjoy&nbsp;them, but I have one minor issue I&#39;m hoping someone can help me out with - the included muzzle flashes.</p>

<p>Specifically, I&#39;m wanting to manually add a suppressor prop on some of them, but the muzzle flashes cannot translate forward to the &quot;new&quot; muzzle point on the combined figure.&nbsp; They look to be either some sort of bone or armature, but I&#39;ve never gone full &quot;nuts and bolts&quot; in the software (something, admittedly, I need to do).&nbsp; If anyone could point me in the right direction on how to correct this, I&#39;d greatly appreciate it.</p>

<p>I am getting quite annoyed at some features of Daz, to be honest... (not even talking about the &quot;jumping viewport&quot; issue here, which drives me as crazy as all the others it affects).</p>

<p>Imports from Blender (using the same import settings that everybody else uses) are randomly missing vertex groups... why is that? What I mean is if I have an object that consists of 100 vertices, and I split them into 10 groups of 10 vertices each, then export-import. I get maybe 7 groups in Daz... then I go back to Blender, define the groups again (same groups etc. - but I have to start from scratch, i.e. delete the old ones and create them again), export-import... now I get maybe 9 groups... and so on and so forth. It is never all of them.</p>

<p>Why is that? What am I missing?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, due to a database corruption issue which was preventing me from connecting to Daz3D from inside of Daz, and hence not showing me the Products or Categories, I recently deleted my CMS folder, and allowed Daz to rebuild the CMS library.&nbsp; After a few &#39;reimport database&#39; passes, my Daz Product library is now pretty much in sync with what I&#39;ve installed from Daz.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, DIM is saying that I have around 1300 products that need installing, that are already installed.&nbsp; I make it a point to not delete the .dsx files from the Manifest folder or Download folders (although I do move the .zips to a separate HDD for storage/backup purposes).</p>

<p>What&#39;s the best way to get DIM back in sync with my Daz install?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been importing some Turbosquid OBJ models into DS from Hexagon (had to change some shading domains). After converting the surfaces to Uber, the shaders I&#39;ve added to them look great, but for some reason simple jpg texture maps are not showing up. I&#39;ve tried just adding them straight to the diffuse channel and also using LIE. The area just seems to appear&nbsp;as a dull solid color somewhere between the average color of the texture map and the diffuse color. The result is the same whether in NVIDIA Iray drawstyle or an Iray render, trying both camera headlamp and photometric lights. I dropped a Daz prop (picture frame) next to it in the scene and added one of the same images to&nbsp;it, and it shows up fine.&nbsp;I&#39;m sure I&#39;m making some simple mistake...<br />

Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I recently re-installed windows and daz studio, before when ever I cliked the view controls to adjust the main viewport it wouldn&#39;t snap to an angle.&nbsp; Now whenever I start to adjust my view as soon as I click on the cube, or one of the other options, it instantly snaps to an angle which is not at all what I wanted. It acts as soon as you click down on the mouse button, and not when you release, which just causes tons of headaches cause you have to hold it down in order to move it.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is there a way to disable this? I haven&#39;t seen any options for it.</p>

I certainly can&#39;t get the hair to look like the promo pics. I might as well try hand modeling regular hair. Is there any support information, tutorials etc? I haven&#39;t found any basic &quot;how to anywhere&quot;. It&#39;s just frustrating to spend this kind of money for nothing.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>[Hidden surfaces showing in render]</span>...at least I think that&#39;s the problem lol!</p>

<p>I am using a bandana that originally included an eye patch as part of the geometry (and had it&#39;s own material zone).&nbsp; Because I don&#39;t want to have the eye patch for this scene, I had turned the opacity for the eye patch down to zero.&nbsp; In previous test reneders everything was fine, the eye patch was not visble in any way.&nbsp; Yesterday I loaded up the scene to put some final touches and then did a final render and found that I now have this ghost like eyepatch in my renders.</p>

<p>14 hours later I still have this damn ghost patch in some version or another.&nbsp; Here is what done to try to get rid of it.</p>

<p>* Deleted the bandana and test rendered (trying to isolate which obj was causing the issue incase I had mistakenly added the wrong bump map to some other object in the scene etc.)&nbsp; When the bandana is deleted from the scene, the problem goes away.&nbsp; Obviously that is not a solution since I need the bandana in the scene, but I did narrow down what was the problem child.</p>

<p>* Quadruple checked that the opacity setting on the ALL the surface materials that had anything to do with the eye patch were set to zero.</p>

<p>*Removed all bump, displacement and normal maps from the bandana asset.</p>

<p>*reverted my render settings (Iray) back to what they had been before I started having this issue (switch back to photorealistic, sample size and some pixel shading settings)</p>

<p>*Tried to undo all the tweeking I had done that day before trying the original &quot;final&quot; render.&nbsp; I saved my scene before the final render so I couldn&#39;t go back to the state it was before final tweeks.</p>

<p>*Exported the bandana to hexegon and deleted the geometry related to the eye patch and then exported back into daz as a prop (using the hexigon bridge)&nbsp;&nbsp; DING DING DING!&nbsp; When I removed the geometry of the eye patch from the bandana, there was no more ghosting eyepatch.</p>

<p>Unfortunately doing it this way, made the bandana so that I couldn&#39;t fit it to my figure anymore which I kind of need.&nbsp; So I have two questions....</p>

<p>1)&nbsp; What can i do to the original bandana so that I don&#39;t see the ghosting eyepatch in the final render.</p>

<p>of if that&#39;s not an option...</p>

<p>2) How can I keep the &quot;fit to&quot; ability of the edited geomerty of the &quot;new&quot; bandana?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My favorite hair is a fiber hair set for G3F. I&#39;ve recently converted the character I use it on to G8, and now I&#39;m discovering it doesn&#39;t work correctly. Skull cap proprerly updates, but if the head is moved, the fibers don&#39;t follow. Does anybody have an idea about how I might fix this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought the Monster Party Bundle, but I did not recieve the&nbsp;Color Rave Hair Dye and Emissive Shaders which was advertised in the bundle. The only reason I bought the complete bundle instead of a few things was because of the hair shaders. Below are some screenshots of the error and advertisement:</p>

<p>I am using Genesis 8, and when I tried some time ago, fitting an &quot;old&quot; item to the Genesis 8 figure would give you many different options (around what type of clothing item that is)... now, these options are all gone, and I have basically &quot;hair&quot; or &quot;dress - knee length&quot;... why is that now?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently noticed that somehow my genesis 2 male has picked up somethign that results in an overall figure distortion like some full body morph is being appled. I check the currently used and theres a bunch of &#39;delta adjustments&#39;, red sliders, locked, like dozens, I can post a screenie if needed but at the moment Im wondering if I can fix this by unistalling and reinstalling genesis 2 male or will that likely do nothing?</p>

<p>I assume this might have happened due to some product? Maybe? I just do not see anything at the moment to help me figure out what that might be so I can rip it out.</p>
