      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have Iray server setup on a remote server that has a K80 running. I&#39;m trying to add scenes to queue but uploading the scene takes too long and the &quot;uploading to bridge queue&quot; progress bar stays at 100%(I suppose it doesnt track the upload progress). Whenever I check my network usage in task manager I see DAZ using about 3.4mbps(so its about 425KB/s) but my upload speed is usually a lot more then that. So is there any way for me to track the progress? And can I increase that upload speed daz&#39;s using ?</p>

<p>(Whenever I hit the Add to queue this warning shows up in the Iray server&#39;s log, does it have an effect ?&nbsp;If it does, is there a way to fix it ?)&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Edit :</strong> I did some digging and the host I&#39;m using seems to run on a docker image wher I can&#39;t really increase the buffer size. So can I upload them manually to the server ? I followed a <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/132951/tutorial-iray-server-render-farm-batch-rendering-for-daz-studio/p1">user guide posted on the forum</a> but the file structure seems to be off because I always get &quot;<strong>Error: Could not create snapshot</strong>&quot;. So what file structure when exporting to &quot;mi&quot; files should I use ?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I decided to get Olympia 8 for the Victoria Birthday sale. I like the promo picture, but my render looks matte orange all over the bodyskin. It took me a while to realize I didn&#39;t need to apply the G8 eyebrows, because no eyebrows show in the preview. So I figured that one out. But, why is my render of the default figure in Iray matte and orange? I have attched a copy of the DAZ promo, and my render. I don&#39;t think my gal looks very nice. She looks like a mannikin.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I recently got a new computer with an 8GB nVidia GeForce GTX 1070 card. It&#39;s running the latest drivers and there are no hardware or firmware warnings in the Device Manager.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve got the latest version of Daz Studio (4.10 Pro) running on the latest iteration of Windows 10.</p>

<p>When I do IRay renders, it&#39;s like the GPU doesn&#39;t exist. It goes straight to CPU and uses it all up, rendering my computer nearly useless for hours at a time (current render = 28 hours).</p>

I pretty much zeroed every setting for Iris, Pupil and Sclera except for Diffusion and still I get reflection. Turning off the environment did not help much either.<br />

<p>in my current project I&lsquo;ve got a very lage scene (memory wise). I have prepared multiple files which I try to merge into one, but during merging, DAZ crashes. Scene contains 3 G3, 1 G8 and 6 G2 (with lamh, each around 250MB&nbsp;on disk). My computer has 32GB memory, DAZ utilizes around 12GB before crash, rest is &ldquo;free&rdquo;.</p>

<p>i don&rsquo;t want to edit anymore (don&rsquo;t have viewport visible), only merge and render...</p>

<p>Do you have any advise how to cope with such a scene?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi! I have a small issue with Daz. Whenever I use the camera controls on the HUD they can be a bit... quick and overly sensitive. Like if I press the zoom button on the UI, and then scroll out/in the zoom can sometimes shoot the camera 1000 miles out of the view finder. I suspect it may be thanks to mouse acceleration but I do like that setting and do wonder if there is a work around.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I have a problem with geografted item for Victoria 8. It has the same shaders, matching maps and maps are made so that the blank area is more or less the same color as the map itself to avoid the seam.</p>

<p>The geograft works normaly and looks like it matches with no visible seam but when I render it in iray there is a dark seam wich is barelly visible when the light shines directlly on it but it is horrific when I put</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying to figure out How To save a partial Morph. I&#39;ve got a face I like from Victoria 4, I used Gen X2 to convert to G2F &amp; G3F. The problem I had next was that the eyeballs did not stay with the head using preset poses. So then I exported the figure after applying the Morph as an .OBJ file and used Morph Loader Pro. My eyeball problem is solved but, Now it seems to have messed up some bone rigging it other parts of the figures body. Is there a way that I can select ONLY the head morph?</p>

<p>I recently encountered a load error when changing a material preset I had created for one of my products.&nbsp; The error reported was that DAZ couldn&#39;t find the texture file, and gave the absolute pathname instead of the relative pathname.&nbsp; I opened the material .duf file in a text editor after extracting it and found that the absolute path was coded into the duf file.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I saved the product originally, it did not do this using the default material.&nbsp; The default material loaded fine when I loaded the product on to my character model.&nbsp; The error only occurred when I attempted to load a material preset (including, interestingly, the one matching the default material).&nbsp; This means that DAZ decided to pick on my material .duf files.&nbsp; I had to recreate the material presets and re-save them in the Materials folder, after which I verified in notepad that this time, DAZ coded the relative path names instead of the absolute path names, and the error went away.</p>

<p>I seriously doubt that this could be a bug.&nbsp; It&#39;s never happened before, and since I would rather not incorporate an extra step into my product workflow, I&#39;m wondering if anyone can shed some light on what I might have done wrong in the first place so that I can understand better.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using DAZ 4.10, and this is not the first product I&#39;ve created on it.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m at the very beginning stages of looking into becoming a merchant and have a question regarding the following statement made in a recent content release (EJ Face Morphs And Details for Genesis 8 Female(s)).</p>

<p>&quot;MERCHANT RESOURCE: These morphs are for a final user as well as to be used as a merchant resource, provided your character is for sale, not for free. <strong>You can use these morphs mixed with your existing head morphs</strong> or reference them and list them as a requirement. You can&#39;t repack these morphs in any way, totally or partially, or claim them as your own.&quot;</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to understand precisely what the bolded part means.&nbsp; So if I load G8F, use the above morphs, export to .obj, make more modifications in Blender, re-export back to Daz and set up my head and body dials.... with the expection to market the final result to Daz.... is that or is that not allowed?&nbsp; If not, then any clarification as to why not would be much appreciated.</p>

<p>My main confusion revolves around what is meant by the word &quot;mixed&quot; as opposed to &quot;repack&quot;.&nbsp; It seems clear I should not be allowed to include any of the morphs in my own product (i.e. repackage them).&nbsp; But then what else would the word &quot;mixing&quot; mean?&nbsp; Wouldn&#39;t it be the same thing?&nbsp; Or does mixing refer to the workflow I described above (exporting to .obj, modifying, reimporting, etc.) -- which <em>is</em> allowed?</p>

<p>Furthermore, if I modify a mesh in Blender in a way that ends up being virtually the same as a modification made first through Daz with the above morphs.... Is there a problem here?&nbsp; I mean, how and where are the IP lines drawn?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Obviously you wouldn&#39;t create in Blender a character virtually identical to an already existing product (although with so many characters available there has to be overlap in meshes).&nbsp; But these are morphs which offer a creator an easy route to creating a character, or even the prototype of a character, which you could then recreate in Blender.&nbsp; If you do that, at that point are you on firm ground IP wise?&nbsp; I&#39;m just flailing around here, in hopes I might approximate the actual answer to my questions.... :-)</p>

a veteran poser user here, making his first step into adding DAZ to my creativity options.<br />

I&#39;m searching for the hither/yon camera options, to no availe. can anyone point me as for where they are located in DAZ? I am doing extreme close-ups and want to prevent the clipping.<br />

also, I am used to scale cameras in poser - and I noticed that when i scale the camera down in DAZ - nothing actually happens (the FOV is supposed to change, but it doesn&#39;t...)<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This is actually a two-fold issue. I&#39;ll address my poor broken Michael 7 first.</p>

<p>When I load Michael 7 or any character made off of him, such as Mateo, etc., he comes in as the generic Genesis 3 Male without Michael&#39;s body and head features. When I look at the parameter dials, it shows Michael 7 is dialed up to 100l%, which isn&#39;t true. Every other character loads just fine. It seems that it&#39;s only Michael 7 who won&#39;t behave. I tried deleting him and reinstalling him, but to no avail. I tend to use more Genesis 8 figures lately, but I do still use Genesis 3 for certain characters I use regularly, so this is a problem.</p>

<p>My other problem might be related, but I&#39;m not sure. When I open DAZ Studio, I don&#39;t get the intro screen that asks me if I want to work online or off line. Everything was fine yesterday morning. It was yesterday evening when I noticed these things happening.</p>

<p>I don&#39;t want to put in a ticket until I know there&#39;s no easy fix for this and there are so many DAZ pros out there who know how to fix almost everything, so I wanted to try this first. I&#39;m reluctnat to uninstall DAZ Studio and reinstall it because I&#39;ve had problems in the past when I did this. Does anyone out there have an explanation for this? I&#39;ve had a lot of problems with DAZ Studio for the past couple of months now, so I don&#39;t know if it&#39;s the software or if it&#39;s just some &quot;dumb blonde&quot; thing I&#39;ve done to break it.</p>

<p>I can browse to the file location, and everything is there, so I assume registration is the problem, so how do I re-register Measure Metrics.</p>

<p>I downloaded with DIM thinking it would give me a registration pop up, but that did not happen.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>DS is king Lots of Time for Purchases To show Up in Connect</strong></p>

<p>So....yesterday I kicked the Bootie of my Stonemason wishlist and got some things that were just too good to pass up with the sweet sale. Still a full 12 hours later, none of them have shown up in Daz Connect. Now I gather that this is just a thing that I have to deal with given how no one ever seems to say anything apart from, &quot;open a ticket.&quot; I feel like it&#39;s a bit pointless to go to that trouble because invariably once I do and the ticket gets it&#39;s customary 5 day turn around window, that issue always seems to have sorted itself out. I&#39;m guessing this has something to do with the load sharing servers maybe and which ever server my install of DS connects with on load hasn&#39;t yet seen my purchases.</p>

<p>Apart from manually downloading these new purchases, is there any way to force Ds to sort of Refresh with all or at least other servers and see my purchaes faster?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I&rsquo;m getting white outlines instead of black lines when I Render using&nbsp;&ldquo;Scripted 3delight&gt;outline&rdquo;. The Fresnel reflected&nbsp;LR9K outlines work fine though.</p>

<p>I tried changing the &ldquo;Scripted 3delight&gt;outline&rdquo; line color to black, but it always reverts&nbsp;back to white lines when I reopen&nbsp;the render tab.</p>

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.</p>
