      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi folks,</p>

<p>I&#39;m having a really hard time posing the eyes of different G8F-based models when rendering with Iray. I do the posing in Cartoon textured mode and set the eyes to point to the main camera. (resetting eye parameters to 0 before using Point to). But when I render in Iray the eyes go slightly off-camera, so I have to fiddle around with manual settings in an endless hit or miss, going back and forth from Cartoon to Iray render, which is extremely slow and frustrating. I have also tried pointing the eyes to a Null positioned slightly off-camera, which doesn&#39;t solve the problem because one eye will always look off.</p>

<p>What am I doing wrong?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone!</p>

<p>I&#39;m new to working between DAZ Studio and ZBrush, and I just made a whole head sculpt by using GF8 as a base. I was able to load the created morph in DAZ smoothly, but there&#39;s heavy distortion occuring when I attempt to close the eyelids, they don&#39;t follow the eyeball.</p>

<p>Are there parts of the model that you shouldn&#39;t touch in Zbrush to not mess with posing in DAZ? I wonder if it&#39;s safer to use existing morphs in DAZ to create a face close from what I want to do, then use Zbrush for more details?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>There are some pants that, when loaded on a charecter, make&nbsp;the wearer&#39;s leg and thigh to be hidden.</p>

<p>While this stategy is helpfull to avoid poke-through, it also make using D-Force impossible.</p>

<p>My question: How can I un-hide the leg an the thigh? (Note that the &quot;eye&quot; associated with these bodyparts stays open even if they aren&#39;t visible.)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all, I am trying to diagnose my crashing problems in Studio when I use IRAY with my 2 Nvidia Geforce 980 TIs. The crash kills DAZ and either freezes my PC or gives me the BSOD in Windows 10.</p>

<p>OS/Hardware:</p>

<p>Windows 10. DAZ Studio 4.10.0.123. One internal 980 TI and one external 980 TI.</p>

<p>Attempted solutions:</p>

<p>Updated all drivers for CPU (including OpenCL) and GPU drivers. Uninstalled Studio and reinstalled it. Tested a render using GPUs separately.</p>

<p>Circumstances:</p>

<p>For a year I have been pretty happy with my 2x 980s and they have been working pretty well and giving me a huge speed gain for IRAY rendering. About a week ago renders all of a sudden just stopped completing and the PC either crashes or BSODs. Now I can only get a successful IRAY render completed when I use CPU rendering only as the photoreal device. I have even tried using both GPUs separately but would get the same results - PC hangs or BSOD after about a minute or two of rendering on to a file or rendering in the&nbsp;viewport. The error messages on the BSODs are different every time and sometimes there are no messages. I grabbed a section of my log where the error occurs and when I restart Studio. The log starts where I load a file called &#39;Archeology-Dig-02.duf&#39; where it starts to render then crashes. The log picks up again when I start DAZ back up and ends where I manually disable&nbsp;all the GPUs.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As far as I know, I have not done anything drastic to my render settings and have been at the most recent Studio version since the update came out months ago without any problems. I am trying to rule out if it is a hardware problem. The external GPU has its own power supply so it&#39;s not competing for voltage and the internal GPU has been inside the PC long before I had the second external GPU and it did well without voltage problems. My 3d video games seem to be working fine too. There have been no electrical mishaps as far as I know of in the timeframe of the sudden crashing like storms causing sudden powerouttages and power spikes. I have had many power outtages where I live and the power surges have never affected my PC. So I am thinking this is a DAZ Studio issue but could use some help&nbsp;locating the problems.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been having a problem recently adding a third G3 to otherwise fairly simple scenes in Studio.&nbsp; Like say I&#39;m doing a boxing match and want to add the referee too.&nbsp; Doing so causes a hideous render slowdown (crashed at the 39:50 mark last time I tried it, and that was the most successful attempt).&nbsp; This didn&#39;t used to be a problem.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, suppose I have a scene with 3 V7, named A B and C.</p>

<p>I parent these to a dummy helper and make a hierarchical pose from the group. The pose file does not contain the names A B and C, it refers to figures by some kind of internal ID.</p>

<p>Now suppose I want to apply the pose, with A receiving the pose that C had and vice versa.</p>

<p>Is that possible? Since all figures are the same type I do not know how I could specify their &quot;ordering&quot; in the scene.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I seem to be having a lot of crashes and fatal error messages lately almost everytime I try something. I just tried to load Aeon souls proxy shoes (genesis 3) on to genesis 8&nbsp; and I more or less got a fatal error message straight away, sometime I get half way through a render and it crashes. It is very frustrating, most of the time I just give up trying to do anything.&nbsp; Does my pc need upgrading, should I reinstall DAZ Studio 4.10Pro? I am on windows 10 with 32 GB RAM 64 bit OS Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU <a rel="nofollow" href="/forums/profile/3">@3</a>.50GHz graphics card NVIDIA GE Force GTX 750ti 4096MB&nbsp; -&nbsp; any advice appreciated.</p>

<p>Working on my Trainging Togs for G8M and I have quite a few expansion morphs for the pants and I just don&#39;t know what&#39;s going on but when when I bring the morphs in, set them up they all function in DAZ Studio.&nbsp; When I save out the pants as an asset and then bring in the newly saved pants the morphs no longer function. Any ideas as to what to look for?&nbsp; I even tried resaving out those morphs as &#39;morph assets&#39; to over write the older ones that I thought were just not saved out properly but nope, same issue.&nbsp; Luckily I have all the morphs from ZBrush saved but I do want them actually functioning in the pants correctly!&nbsp; lol&nbsp;</p>

I have been having this issue since I moved to Daz 4.10 on my Windows 10 system I upgraded to and its Killing my productivity.</p>

<p>I have used a diffrent mouse and the problem persists&nbsp;<br />
there is a thread that uses something called AutoHotkey scripts and that acutally Doens&#39;t work eather</p>

<p>the problem is persists even using the Alt-Ctrl though viewport method with the AutoHotkey script, even upping the delay timing 200ms it still presists (which makes camera movements stiff and unresponsive feeling anyhow)<br />
<br />
it seems like the mouse gets thrown up and to the right when this happens and it seems entirely random&nbsp;<br />
this even happens with the tool icons on the left of the View Cube, where often it throws the camera&#39;s focal lenth to 0 ( right mouse button and moving to the right on the magnifing glass)<br />
<br />
So far it just seems to be with the camera controls, i have noticed that at times it would like to throw dails way out, but that has allways been a behavior of Daz for me, but i have never seen it do this with the simple camera control<br />

<p>I have a big problem uhu. It&#39;s been a while I came here , fortunately , but anytime I come here , it&#39;s because I have a problem ... lol . So excuse me for that :)&nbsp;</p>

<p>Well , I&#39;m working on a comic book project, like some of us as I could see on others forums. And I didn&#39;t want to create it with realistic renders. I never used toon shading system, and I said to myself &quot;ok , why not&quot;, it will give a cool artistic look.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I first decided to use the toon shader of iray (I&#39;m using DS 4.10, equiped with&nbsp; sli nvidia 690ti, i7 3770 , 32go ram) to start a try and why not migrating to manga style shaders or these kinds of shaders.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But nothing work. I really don&#39;t understand. I saw a video of a guy explaining how the toon shader of iray is working,&nbsp; this guy drag and drop the sahder on the model, and the model is shading well.&nbsp;<br />

<p>On my daz , nothing happens. Maybe I forgot a way to configure DAZ , change some parameters , I don&#39;t know.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I really need the toon shaders because on the other hand I will obliged to import all the .obj inside keyshot to convert all the meshes with its toon shader . Here is some examples :&nbsp;</p>

<p>I could use some guidance in the DAZ &mdash;&gt; 3DS pipeline I&rsquo;m trying to perfect.</p>

<p>Basically, my goal is to import Genesis 3 figures to 3DS without any bones while still keeping the pose. I am currently exporting and importing my Genesis figures as FBX files which works great except that I have no use for the bones and animation and it therefore gives me a file much larger in size that I need. Combining more than 2 figures in a scene, bones and all, leads to 3DS crashing.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>To summarize, I want to export my Genesis 3 files in such a way that preserves their modifications, clothing, hair and poses as ideally a pure mesh (I think?) without any bones or controls. Just the figure as I view it in DAZ because I will have no need to adjust it further.</p>

<p>I hope someone will be able to help with this.</p>

<p>I have a problem with an annoying behaviour of an asset that I&rsquo;m working on. It&rsquo;s a figure asset that fits to a Triax figure and that I have initially rigged with the Transfer Utility and to which I am adding ghost bones to control the movement of a strap. Now the problem is that when I am moving the bone, or more precisely &ldquo;while&rdquo; I am moving the bone, the strap doesn&rsquo;t follow until I release the mouse button (see the attached image). This is a very annoying behaviours as it makes it very difficult to pose the strap precisely.</p>

<p>Curiously, this behaviour affects only the ghost bones that I have manually added but not the bones that were added through the transfer utility, as those show live mesh deformation while I am moving the bones&hellip; as they should be.</p>

<p>At this point I have no clue about where the problem might come from and couldn&rsquo;t find anything that answer this question anywhere. So I hope someone could figure this out, as I expect this to be a fairly common problem with asset creation.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Today I decided to finally buy AniMate2 (even if I&#39;m pretty sure I&#39;ll use it very few times)... But there&#39;s something wrong!</p>

<p>After registering, the interface doesn&#39;t change! I copy-pasted the code from my account directly on DAZ. It is active, as the green plug indicates, but I can&#39;t see any change in the interface or animation bahaviour.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi to everyone!</p>

<p>I&#39;m recently started my &quot;career&quot; as &quot;3D animator&quot; and I have the first problem: I have a &quot;simple&quot; scene to animate: a character with a wagon. The first is walking forward and I was trying to &quot;attach&quot; the handles of the wagon to his hands. Is there a way to let it &quot;realistically&quot; <strong>follows </strong>my character? I can see there is some physics implementation here. I spent almost a day but unfortunately I didn&#39;t make it. Any hints/suggestions/scripts?</p>

<p>Just because an image is better than 1000 words, I also attached a screeshot.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I want to create a seated buttock deformation morph (that I can use when needed). I have my&nbsp;base G3F character&nbsp;seating&nbsp;on a cube primitive, and I added a smoothing modifier with the cube as colliding object. The buttocks are now flattened as I want.</p>

<p>Is there a way to use Morph Loader to create a re-usable buttock morph?</p>

<p>(I&#39;ve tried to export my collided&nbsp;charater as obj&nbsp;and created a morph, but understandabely, when applied, it poses the&nbsp;whole character in the seated position.&nbsp;The morph should only flatten the buttocks area without affecting the pose)</p>

<p>what would be the correct scale to render a daz3d model (Genesis8) with Arnold&nbsp; subsurface scattering in 3ds max? I export and import it in Obj format, but I can not adjust the scale satisfactorily. My units are in cm, and I know that the models of Daz3d are in cm, but I can not adjust the sss scale of arnold in 3ds max.I try to follow the Arnold&nbsp; Solidangle manual (If the scene is in meters, then SSS Scale can be set to 0.01 to specify the SSS Radius in centimeters. For example for skin, the SSS Radius could be 0.37cm, 0.14cm, 0.07cm).Somebody could help me? Any advice to work with the daz models in Arnold and 3ds max? Thank you very much!</p>

<p>I just purcased a product, and when I try to load it I get the following error;</p>

<p>data/jack tomalin/study/dh_study/dh_study_38052.dsf&quot;</p>

<p>I tried uninstalling the product and reinstalling it through DM, but I still receive the same error.&nbsp;<br />
I also checked the directory listed above, and there is no &quot;study&quot; folder in the jack tomalin directory.<br />
Any ideas what the issue may be?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is it possible to use a backdrop and an HDRI? I&#39;m guessing &quot;no&quot; but maybe I&#39;m doing something wrong.</p>

<p>I have a backdrop that is based on a render, but when I load it into the scene I also have to select a background color. It seems that there is now way to not have a background color, and that the background color overrides the HDRI (?).&nbsp;</p>

<p>My workaround is to create a primitive and add the background to its surface, but this still throws shadows off the plane that make the scene look weird.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ive been messing around with Daz about a year now and I was wondering if their was a quicker way to do what I&#39;m doing. When Im creating a scene with a character and an environment I will add another character to the scene. Sometimes this character will load in pretty far away from the other character and so I will use the x translate, and ztranslate to drag the character closer&nbsp;to the other one. The same thing happens if I click on one of the preset poses, usually this will move the character and will have to use the Parameters to drag she or he back in place. &nbsp;Am I doing this properly or is their a quicker way?</p>

<p>I need some help to make a real gun prop for one of my character. I modelized a gun with sketchup, and wanted to translate it into a prop, knowing that the double canon can deploy itself, and the gun is opening to load it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I don&#39;t know how to start. The parametrage of the model must be all done in daz3D ? Or do I have to prepare it in 3DS MAX or soft like that ?&nbsp;</p>
