<p>when suddenly i have a big problem. i create a rear big door who have a big &quot;action pivot&quot; on his low,then there is little arms build on it to hold his weight.</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to make an animation with Genesis 8 figure and a dforce cloth. Everything works fine except when the character&#39;s arm&nbsp;touches the clotch even for a split of a second, it sticks with the arm for the rest of the simulation. I tried to simulate it with many different options but nothing worked.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>For some plebian reason (probably) I saw a boat in various videos and came to the conclusion that the <em>iREAL Animated Ocean Water System</em> had some sort of physics engine that allowed the waves to affect the boat&#39;s motion.</p>

<p>I suppose that I came to the wrong conclusion? (In my favor is the fact that Lightwave3D can do that sort of thing.)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I noticed that I have two directories for &quot;DAZ Studio 4.5+ (64-bit)&quot; under the &quot;Applications&quot; tab in the DAZ Install Manager:</p>

<p>C:/Program Files/DAZ3D/DAZStudio4 - Where Studio is installed<br />
E:/Program Files (x86)/DAZ 3D/DAZ3DIM1 - Where DIM used to be installed before it switched to 64 bit.</p>

<p>It looks like most of the files in the second one are just copies of what is in the first one. Is the one pointing to the DIM directory even supposed to be there or needed? It seems like I could remove it and delete&nbsp;the old 32 bit DIM folder but I wanted to make sure it isn&#39;t needed for some reason. None of those files are in the new DIM directory for the 64 bit version and no directory is listed for it under the &quot;Applications&quot; tab.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So until yesterday i&#39;ve been able to select the surface of a character and change the image used for their torso for instance, now i can only change the entire body, if i select a material like victoria 8 face or whatever it applys the face to each segment of the body instead of just the face. i need to be able to change the texture for each segment of the skin becuase i alter the skinmaps in photoshop... does this make sense? what is going on?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>For years I rendered in 3Delight- I still do - but I need some tips &amp; tricks before jumping to Iray. My last render took me 34&nbsp;hours in 3Delight (pheew) and now I have had enough !</p>

<p>Facts:&nbsp;Figure - Genesis 8&nbsp;female, 1 dress, 2 hairs - one with long braids. Bare feet :) All textures is the RSL version - except skin and eyes. ( But I guess I will have to change to MDL textures?)&nbsp;The light is flat,&nbsp;very even and soft-shaded. Render resolution must be approx. 5000&nbsp;x 2000 pixels on a tranparent background.</p>

<p>I need a flat shaded but photorealistic render. From here I&#39;ll work my &#39;way back&#39; to a less realistic look in Photoshop. I do need details in the braids (Marigold Hair) and also in the clothing and the eyes otherwise I cannot apply the filters I use in Photoshop.</p>

<p>So hit me with your fastest most detailed super smooth Iray render settings - pleeeeeeeease&nbsp; - screendumps are very, very welcome !&nbsp;<br />
​And also where do you - yes YOU -&nbsp;&#39;tick off&#39; the background and the floor in the Iray render ?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just had the motherboard of my previous computer fry, so I got a new one (Nvidea too, yahoo!!!!).&nbsp; But, I really <span>[mess]</span>ed up the instation. I have directories all over the place, and about 30% of the 2,400+ products I own are nowhere to be found. Pehaps I should uninstall everything and start totally from scratch.</p>

<p>Damn thing is, my C drive is on a chip and my D drive is on a seperate disc, not a partition. Daz won&#39;t fit on my C drive. I have too much content. <p>What I ask: How to fix the weight in the pic I posted here?</p>

<p>I mean, as you see in the pic, bending side side the legs, the catsuit seems like rubber. So, I want to fix that. I know that I want to use the weight paint brush and more, but ... when I paint over the blue/red zone, I move milions of polygons and instead flatting and compact the polygons, I get something like mountains with disordered polygons and broken mesh.&nbsp;I see in many videos they using the paint brush like a Photoshop, painting like using a color. Result, all the polygons are disordered.</p>

<p>This is more of a bug report than actually looking for a solution (since my solution is typically just to disconnect my second monitor when i boot up DAZ if i left DAZ open on the second monitor).</p>

<p>However, if you start up/boot up&nbsp;either DAZ studio or the Install Manager on a second monitor, they will as the title say freeze up and become unresponsive.</p>

<p>This only happens on the second monitor (the one assigned as 2), and the same happens if i switch the monitors (which rules out it being a problem with the monitor itself).</p>

<p>You can still start em up with both monitors connected, but only if they start on the monitor assigned as the main monitor.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, forgive me if I am wrong but the whole part of copying a figure pose and then being able to paste a pose should have absolutely nothing to do with the current frame number&nbsp;of the pose on the timeline.&nbsp; If I pose a figure at say frame 10 and copy it, I should be able to move my timeline to say 20 frames and paste the figure pose and have it on frame 20, not place the pose back on frame 10.&nbsp; Which is exactly what Daz does, I have never seen this behavior in other software&nbsp;that I use.</p>

<p>Pasting a pose implies only&nbsp;a figure pose.&nbsp; Apparently not in Daz, it also means paste the exact location on the timeline with the pose.&nbsp; If this is how it functions which it is then it is essentially a useless&nbsp;function unless you want everything on the same frame.</p>

<p>According to the description, it is suppose to include 4 full bodies, 22 full heads, 11 partial bodies, 56 partial heads, etc. Well, my entire folder contains only 40 items and 12 of those items are loincloth textures.</p>

<p>Unless I&#39;m not understanding something, a LOT of stuff is either missing or not as advertized.</p>

<p>I purchased this package because I was mainly interested in the shiny alien morph -- the guy that looks like Silver Surfer. But he is nowhere to be found.</p>

<p>The install was done via DIM and I tried re-installing it via a manual install but I still can&#39;t find him any where. Can anyone point me in the right direction and / or instruct me how I can go about getting a refund for something that wasn&#39;t as advertized?</p>

I thought there would be a new entry under menu Window &gt; Panes (Tabs), but nothing related to decimation. I checked the Daz install manager and the plugin shows there as being installed (Decimator for Daz Studio 4.10+ Win 64-bit). I tried to download the file and install it manually but, even though the installation completes without a problem, I get the same luck. Any suggestion to make this option visible?</p>

<p>And yet I seem unable to produce the most basic IRAY renders without 6-8 hours of render time and even then the results are very noisy.&nbsp; The attached file took approx 6 hours.&nbsp; I&#39;d be grateful for any advice as to what I might be doing wrong.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey Guys, So I&#39;ve made a custom shirt for a specific morph which I had exported. I sculpted the shirt to that morph and then followed <a rel="nofollow" href="http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/rigging/tutorials/transfer_utility/start">this</a> tutorial. When I used the transfer utility on that gen 2 morph I got horrendous results.<br />
However, when I use the vanilla Gen 2 figure (no morphs or modifiers) the transfer utility doesn&#39;t distort the mesh. However the bones are not correctly placed. So I believe I&#39;ve done this backwards where I was should have created the shirt for the base Gen2 figure and then modified it as a morph to conform to the final gen 2 morph I want to use the shirt with. Is there anyway I can use the shirt with the transfer utility without having to redo the shirt</p>

<p>to follow the workflow I mentioned prior? Is the distortion I&#39;m getting a weight painting issue and if so can I use blender to rig and weight paint the shirt and then import it into daz3d?<br />
Any help would be much appreciated!</p>

<p>As you can see it has the item name stenciled ont eh sides and chest and shoulder of the wardrobe. I thought it was just a sample that was stenciled on, but apparently it is stenciled on ever material choice. is there a way to edit that annoying stenciled lettering off of the wardrobe?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have almost read all the forums on this issue but nothing seems to help me around. I am new to Daz. I have an GT-840m 4GB ddr3, Windows 10 pro, 8gb ram and a Dual core Intel i5 4thGen.</p>

<p>I also installed CUDA toolkit 9.2 (while installing,&nbsp;I unchecked Visual Studio integration, it was causing error{Installation failed})&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have only tried rendring from Iray, which is actually using only CPU. my GPU is like 0% usage, while CPU is 99%.&nbsp;I havn&#39;t tried 3Delight.&nbsp;</p>

<p>please help, Thank you.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m working on a Windows 10 system with Daz Studio 4.10,,, I downloaded the PointAtFixer script from sharecg.com and am trying to install it but can&#39;t figure out where.&nbsp; I also bought DazToMaya (3dForAll) which was downloaded and installed by the install manager.&nbsp; When I go to the scripts menu in Daz Studio I find the 3dForAll script but see no other scripts.&nbsp; I know there are a ton of .dsa files in various places, eg, in the program files folder, app data folder, content data folders but on the script menu I only see the 3dForAll script.&nbsp; I even tried to put the PointAtFixer.dsa in the same folder as 3dForAll and it didn&#39;t show up their either.&nbsp; So, my question(s).&nbsp; Where do the scripts get put?&nbsp; Why can&#39;t I see all the other scripts that were installed with DS?&nbsp; Do you need to do some magic to activate them?</p>

<p>If anyone has any solutioins I sure would appreciate them.&nbsp; My hair is thin enough as it is, I don&#39;t want to pull out anymore :)</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to use the transfer utility to transfer a genesis 8 rig to a target item that is not located at origin (its transform is not zero).</p>

<p>The item is supposed to be a wearable that has a custom rig already. It is positioned on the genesis 8 character where it is supposed to be worn.</p>

<p>I can transfer the rig with &#39;merge hierarchies&#39; so that the item&#39;s custom rig is preserved. The problem is that this moves the transferred genesis rig to the origin of the target item. Can this be avoided somehow ?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve looked at all the other threads I could find on this, but i&#39;m starting to have problems with dForce not finding a valid OpenCL 1.2 device.&nbsp; I&#39;ve updated all the drivers I can find (nVidia, Dell, Intel, etc).&nbsp; Does anyone have anything else to try?&nbsp; It worked as recently as 2 weeks ago, then didn&#39;t yesterday (was out of town for 10 days). &nbsp;</p>
