      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello! I actually don&#39;t know when this started to happen.</p>

<p>There are a few items in my&nbsp;library that are actually causing the same&nbsp;issue when double clicked.</p>

<p>If I drag and drop them, they open normally.</p>

<p>Just installed the new version 4.11 of DAZ but the probem is still there. Same problem with 4.9 and 4.10.</p>

<p>Does anyone knows why this happens?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all. So I worked on a character for hours creating fixing her face to the way I want it. However, after playing with the makeup, surface settings and other add ons a little too much, she pretty much looks like a failed arts and craft expirement. Like a dumb ass, I clicked saved and closed out, so I can&#39;t exactly go back.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>My question is simple, but&nbsp; I am not sure if possible; can I save all the character adjustments I made to her face/model as a like a slider? I don&#39;t want skin because its beyond repair at this point. And please, talk to me like I&#39;m an idiot because I am new to Daz and recetly learned what shadders meant.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Will there ever be a fix for the not at (0, 0, 0) iRay rendering problem?</p>

<p>eg, just today, even though the character (Jonah HD for Ollie 8) was only about (335, -75, 665) from (0, 0, 0) the eyes rendered dark, mostly noticable in the sclera appearance, like transparency or refraction wasn&#39;t working correctly.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve&nbsp;since shifted the enviroment to (-335, 75, -665) and the character to (0, 0, 0) but I will have 3 other characters in my camera viewfinder.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>There is a strange problem with the dForce Granny Nightgown. It doesn&#39;t drape right on Mabel, making weird puckers under the breasts. It works fine on other Gen 8 females. I haven&#39;t used dForce much but this is the only time I have seen this happen. It isn&#39;t just me - the promos have the same issue even though it appears an attempt has been made to hide it with the flat lighting. Mabel is not a &quot;Supported Shape&quot; even though this came with her bundle but I don&#39;t think that matters with dForce, or does it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Thanks for taking a look at this post, I&#39;ve tried to find an answer but had zero luck. My situation: Yesterday I started up DS fine, designed a scene (to be honest it was larger, but not larger than what my system had rendered before. 2 characters, clothes, hair, enviroment), hit render and was stunned when I saw my CPU usage spike to 100% after the scene rendered for a few minutes (in testing it was falling back to the CPU anywhere from 2% to 94% convergence).&nbsp;I thought I had obviously done something wrong and started researching. The troubleshooting log gave me the following errors:</p>

<p>-an illegal memory access was encountered (while launching CUDA renderer in core_renderer_wf.cpp:832)</p>

<p>-an illegal memory access was encountered (while initializing memory buffer)</p>

<p>-an illegal memory access was encountered (while de-allocating memory)</p>

<p>-&nbsp;All workers failed: aborting render</p>

<p>-Falling back to CPU rendering</p>

<p>(Sorry, I cant seem to get a screen grab of the actual log to post). Has anyone run into this problem? I am far from an expert, so it is entirely possible I am missing something stupidly simple here. But it is really frustrating...</p>

<p>System: i5-8600K (8th gen), Z370 Aurus MOBO, 64 GB DDR4 ram, 1TB SSD, 4 TB HDD, 3x 1080ti (2 FTW and 1 SC), 1060 (6GB-running monitor) also non of the cards are overclocked, Corsair CPU Cooler, Corair 1000 watt PSU, windows 7 (64 bit).</p>

<p>Tried restarting DS, restarting the computer, checked to make sure all&nbsp;Nvidia drivers are up to date, I even tried reinstalling an older version (no luck), GPU heat isn&#39;t an issue (I use GPU-Z to keep an eye on them as well as the Corsair link). Tried reinstalling DS, even ran a virus search of the whole system (grasping at straws with that one but...), loaded a scene with just a GF3 with nothing else (no hair or clothes or add ons at all) and still the same errors (so not exceeding the memory limits of the cards). Checked PSU wattage at the plug with a belkin tester, no change from the normal while the system is under load. Literally nothing changed on the system thats run fine for months, so I&#39;m at a loss. Scenes I rendered 2 days ago with the GPU&#39;s now fall back to the CPU. I even tried turning the cards off in the advanced settings one by one and redoing the render, but nothing changed.</p>

<p>The last thing I can think of is that I keep getting Windows warnings that I have unsupported hardware (newer processor on windows 7) and I need to upgrade to Windows 10 (which I have been avoiding). Could that be part of the issue? This system has been running fine for almost 4 months (with the warnings), just seems strange to have it start acting up now. I tried google searching for&nbsp;an &quot;illegal memory access was encountered&quot;, but mainly ended up with hits for crypto mining issues...</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been trying to install DSON so I can get my Genesis 8 character over to Poser.&nbsp; I&#39;ve been racking my brain.</p>

<p>I have followed the tutorials but first I don&#39;t think it installs DSON on my system.&nbsp; Then the other problem is I don&#39;t see where it even puts my files and why that area that I need is blank.</p>

<p>Here is a video of the first problem.&nbsp; I have it mapped out just fine.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just canceled a render that was going for 2hours. I wanted to save it then resume so I could compare a 4 hour render to a 2 hour render.&nbsp; The problem is as soon as I saved the render window closed and I couldn&#39;t resume. Is there anyway to save a renders progress?</p>

<p>For example if a render lasts 8 hours, could I somehow save out renders every hour? That way I can compare how a 2 hour render looks vs an 8 hour render.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a couple of questions regarding making a prop a wearable preset.</p>

<p>1) If i create&nbsp;a prop, say a bench, and make pose&nbsp;for G8&nbsp;sitting on the bench, when I save it as a Wearable Preset, what settings do I select to make G8 &#39;move to prop&#39; in that pose so to speak if the prop is not at world center 0/0/0, ie: if I move the bench -125 on the X and -300 on the a Z?</p>

<p>2) do I parent G8 to the prop, or the prop to G8?&nbsp; I&#39;ve tried it both ways, and there are different options.&nbsp; When I:&nbsp; A) parent G8 to prop, when WEARABLE(S) PRESET SAVE OPTIONS window appears, I select POSE tab, INDLUDE POSE SETTINGS IN PRESET, do I check SMART PARENT TARGET TO WEARABLE at bottom of window, and what do I check/uncheck in the hierarchy tree?&nbsp; &nbsp;when I B)&nbsp; parent prop to G8, in WEARABLE(S) PRESET SAVE OPTIONS, I select POSE tab, check INCLUDE POSE SETTINGS IN PRESET, so what do I check/uncheck in the hierarchy tree?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried so many different option combinations, and sometimes it loads G8 in the desired pose, but only at world center, not where I moved the prop to located away from world center.&nbsp; Other times with different option combinationss, it loads G8 AND the prop at world center, so now I have 2 props in the scene.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I know there is a way to save the prop as a wearable and have G8 snap ot &#39;move to&#39;&nbsp;the prop where ever it is located in the scene, because I have bought props that do this.&nbsp; I appreciate any advice, I&#39;ve been working at this for days and am at the point where I&#39;m tearing my hair out in frustration.&nbsp; :P</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi All</p>

<p>Ive been working on a simple animation where the figure (G3F) goes from a standing position to a kneel.</p>

<p>Started using aniblocks to get everything looking how I want it, then baked to timeline.</p>

<p>Then I make a new aniblock from the timeline to use later, and refine some</p>

<p>Problem is that although the basic animation is ok the figure floats up afer a few frames and stays up in the air, meaning that to use the aniblock I have to reset the y axis on all frames again.</p>

<p>Its probably me being dumb (again) but this has me stumped.</p>

<p>Any help would be very welcome TIA</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve modeled some shoes and I&#39;m creating weight maps for it. &nbsp;It&#39;s for Genesis 8. &nbsp;For the most part, the standard projection does ok, except for the toe region. I probably I can fix that, but I&#39;m wondering if there&#39;s a better way&mdash; using a projection template specially made for making shoes?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a curtain object in my scene.&nbsp; I send it to Zbrush via GOZ.&nbsp; I make no changes to the curtain while in Zbrush.&nbsp; Then I click the GOZ button in Zbrush.&nbsp; When the curtain comes back into DAZ, Daz says, &quot;The topology has changed&quot;, but I didn&#39;t even change anything. Anyone know how to fix this?</p>

<p>The <strong>mesh resolution</strong> of the curtain is set to <strong>base</strong>. I exported the curtain with <strong>export deformations</strong> and <strong>export at current resolution</strong> off.&nbsp;&nbsp; I even tried exporting with both of these options, but still the problem persists.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Going way back to the days of the original Genesis figure, I recall that clothing used to inherit the morphs of the parent figure and this is still pretty much the case. However, I also recall that those morphs could be selected in the figure and zeroed out if need be. This was a common fix for hair that used elf ear morphs, for example.       <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey all!&nbsp; I just purchased an awesome item on sale; &nbsp;<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/laguna-mermaid-set-for-genesis-3-female-s" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/laguna-mermaid-set-for-genesis-3-female-s</a> .&nbsp; Well, for some reason, when I put it on my Gen 3 female model, I get a big spot on the hip that is sans color.&nbsp; It shows up in render as well.&nbsp; I&#39;ll attach a pic so you can see.&nbsp; I&#39;m wondering what I&#39;m doing wrong?&nbsp; Or is there some way I can message the creators to get some advice?&nbsp; It&#39;s gotta be something I&#39;m doing, I just can&#39;t figure out what it is.&nbsp; :p&nbsp; Thanks all in advance! &nbsp;<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I moved the DIM download folder from users/public/pubic documents to free up space on my C drive. I moved it to a storage drive.&nbsp; I also&nbsp;keep My Library on the same drive. I dont delete the packages after install in case I want to uninstall them and then have them for reinstall later without downloading.&nbsp; &nbsp;(I am not sure that is a great idea, but, it is what I do. )</p>

<p>After moving the DIM folders, and pointing DIM to the new path, I downloaded a file to test. It worked fine, but I noticed, it recreated the user/public/public documents/...&nbsp; &nbsp;and put the mainisfest files there. (The download package&nbsp; files went to the new location.&nbsp; Is there a way to make DIM put the manifest douments in the new location?&nbsp; They are not big files and I can live with it, but wanted to know if there was something I could do to keep DIM from writing stuff to my C Drive.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I know there are a lot of very helpful tutorials getting morphs using clones and the such from V4 to Genesis (and 2 and 3 etc) but I&#39;m struggling... My Genesis is pretty messed up after trying (without succeeding) to get my V4 morphs to it. All I managed to do was apparently break the Genesis files.</p>

<p>From what I understand, my only option is to load(fix) genesis, load my morphs to that one, then convert up to 8 using V4 clones or to buy something that I don&#39;t quite understand (therefore should not mess with). Sadly, I am trying to convert several hundred morphs I made for V4 but don&#39;t work on Genesis (random spikes appearing)</p>

<p>Is there any &#39;did you try...&#39; options that I&#39;m missing?</p>

<p>My to do list:</p>

<p>-Ininstall/Re-install Genesis and try from scratch with the tutorials</p>

<p>-Spend money on a legacy to Gen3 converter</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a wierd issue with some models - in this case a hair model fit to a G2F figure that I wanted to sculpt into a slightly different profile - so I hot GoZ as normal ( export with deformations checked - export at current resolution unchecked - as always) into Zbrush make the change - hit GoZ ther as normal - it goes back to Daz - and then complains that the topology has changed and it will only bring it in as a new obj. I&#39;ve seen this a time or 2 before but not sure why. All I&#39;m doing in Zbrush is use the move tool to push the mesh around a bit - no topology changes.</p>
