      <description><![CDATA[<p>Just purchased&nbsp;After the war scene and wanted to export to IClone via 3DXchange pipeline- however when in loads in to IClone it&rsquo;s just a grey square! Is this because I didn&rsquo;t purchase the editable licence or can&rsquo;t it be exported in to IClone 7.22?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sorry if the isn&rsquo;t the right place for this post - but would really appreciate some advice.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I keep experiencing the following issue.</p>

<p>I will create a custom figure using Genesis 8 and then save that figure as a scene.</p>

<p>File/ Save As/ Scene...</p>

<p>When I reload my scene the Genesis 8 Eyelashes is...wonky...out of place.</p>

<p>Deleting the eyelashes and fitting a new set to the figure does not resolve the issue.</p>

<p>I have tried setting the &quot;Fit Mode&quot; from &quot;Redirect Transforms&quot; to &quot;Auto Follow Transforms&quot; but that does not work.</p>

<p>I have tried using edit mode to select all the of the dials I have used to create my custom figure and enable autofollow...but that does not work.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I found I can save my custom figure as a shaping preset and then load that preset and the eyelashes are no longer bugged...so there is a workaround.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>But I find it odd that something about saving my character as a scene bugs out the eyelashes when I reload that scene.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Thought hair was compatible G3 - G8 but maybe not.&nbsp; Store has offered tech spt. or refund.&nbsp; Hoping someone here might be able to help since DAZ probably busy</p>

<p>Readme reports no known issues, but it *is* for G3 and not G8.&nbsp; <a rel="nofollow" href="http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/35079/start#resolved_issues">Documentation</a></p>

<p>Not good at explaining so hopefully SS&rsquo;s will help.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Appears that &lsquo;TailLong&rsquo; &amp; &lsquo;TailBraid&rsquo; load correctly on G3 do not load on G8?&nbsp; Loads part near the ears?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Consequentially cannot hide one (choose between braid or tail) in scene tab, and cannot rotate on x, y, z.&nbsp; The sliders don&rsquo;t seem to do anything.</p>

I have issues when i export animation from Daz Studio to 3Ds Max (FBX).<br />
Daz export the right number of frames in the timeline, but only with the pose of the frame i have selected when i do the export (so in 3Ds Max, i have that pose on every frame).<br />

I join a pics of my export window in Daz and of the problem in 3Ds Max (the same pose all over the timeline).<br />

Any ideas ?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Anyone else noticed this as a problem? Nyo Hair (even when it is&nbsp;the only object in the scene) causes DAZ Studio 4.11 to crash when a dForce simulation is initiated. Nyo Hair doesn&#39;t even have a dForce modifier.</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to use Tara2 for G8F <a href="https://www.daz3d.com/tara-2-hd-for-victoria-7-victoria-8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/tara-2-hd-for-victoria-7-victoria-8</a> and it used to work fine earlier. And she has a magnificent set of horns and wings and such to create an awesome deamon with. Only that it has stopped working. When I try to load her horns - they won&#39;t load, and I get this message below. (The first messages is after loading Tara 2 successfully, the second is when I try to load a set of horns.<br />
<br />
What can be wrong, I&#39;ve no idea what the log file might say.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>What are the dependents for the time a render takes? Is Iray&nbsp;shader optimization a thing?<br />
<br />
If I render just a single room in my own house model, it takes 3 minutes for 300 iterations, and the total triangles are around 115k.</p>

<p>If I render a character that is straight from the Daz, it renders 350 iterations in 3 minutes despite the model being 1.2m triangles</p>

<p>So obviously, triangles don&#39;t matter. The house wasn&#39;t using all textures made for Iray, however, some were. I am wondering if this could have anything to do with render speed?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been a huge fan of Smart content since I started using it and it&#39;s never caused issues before, but over the last month it feels like my smart content has been getting buddier and buggier. I&#39;m not 100% sure but it seems that the products in the Lost and Found tab have been slowly increasing. Looking right now about a third of my total products are now in there and there is stuff I KNOW wasn&#39;t in there a few weeks ago. Also, the last couple of times I&#39;ve bought stuff about half of it hasn&#39;t shown up in my Available pane. And most of the stuff not showing up isn&#39;t registered as purchased when I go to the story via the smart content pane and look up the product. I&#39;ve had to manually download or use DIM to download the item and only THEN does it show up in the smart content pane.</p>

<p>Any idea what could be going on or how to fix it?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Also, maybe related, I realized yesterday that all of the products I&#39;ve downloaded are sitting in theroaming file folder and not in My Daz folder. I&#39;m worried part of this is because I have the software on drive c but all the downloaded content on drive D (my C drive just isn&#39;t big enough for everything). Do I maybe need to just delete and reinstall everything?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just downloaded the Wireframe and Hologram Shaders by Marshian. I have a few questions about how I should be using them. The product page description ends with &quot;<span>See the ReadMe for helpful tips.&quot; However, there is no ReadMe included with the download, as far as I can see.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span>I&#39;m basically wondering what to do about the fact that the shaders make everything semi-transparent - which means that if I want to make a figure into a hologram, we can see all the internal geometry such as the inside of the mouth and the eyeballs. I have no idea how to go about using this so that that doesn&#39;t happen.</span></p>

<p>I&#39;m experiencing an issue when animating in DAZ Studio and was hoping someone could help.</p>

<p>I make my timeline. pose my character on the 0 frame, then move to the last frame and create the movement with the ActivePose Tool. Sometimes it work without a problem. But often there will be some strange, excessive rotation of the hip bone. It will completely flip some of the axes, from like 0 to -170. The first and the last frame would look perfect, if I switch from one to the other the animation looks spot on. But all the in-between frames are completely messed up due to that hip rotation. The character would either wobble around, or completely rotate around.</p>

<p>I thought it may be some of the rotation limits, so I select all the bones and turn them off before animating, but the issue is still there.</p>

<p>Any thoughts what may cause this and hot to fix it?</p>

<p>I&#39;m triying to use the prop&nbsp;the product with a Genesis 2 Male character that is higher than average (he&#39;s mt 1,93), so the guitar loads too low for him. I can&#39;t move it on the Y axis because the &quot;auto follow figure&quot; function that it by default it loads with only works for G3 and G8. The &quot;normal prop&quot; (not following) script loads it in another standing position that&#39;s not what I need, and with the strap straight instead of &quot;body conforming&quot; pose. What I need is to keep in the pose it is now, but raise it on the Y axis. Can somebody explain me if there&#39;s a way to unlock the movement on Y axis?</p>

<p>I try to move the Content to a other HDD and it dosn&acute;t work. I delete all and try a new installation and I have a problem:</p>

<p>- In the products folder I see the content vom 0 -&gt; Z and I can install the products.</p>

<p>- In the Categories folder I see the folder but every folder is emty.</p>

<p>- If I use the search function there ist no result.</p>

<p>What can I do?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I started a discussion in The Commons to talk about different approaches to things like makeup, tattoos, and even body hair. One of the techniques considered there is the geometry shell (or geoshell).&nbsp;</p>

<p>I used a geometry shell in the creation of a character product, but testers questioned whether it would add too much overhead. I was using it to avoid using multiple large image maps in the materials; I thought the overhead would be lower this way.</p>

<p>So here&#39;s the question: is a geometry shell more like an instance, where it&#39;s a sort of reference to the original geometry, or is it more like a full copy of the original geometry?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>okay basically what the title stated I turned the Merpal figure into a General weight map figure and sooo far it looks like everything works the same except the eyeballs ,now half the eyeball moves while the other half&nbsp; is frozen so it makes for some really weird &quot;looks&quot; ,is there a way I can fix this ,?or do I just give up and throw it out?</p>

<p>I wanted to use Gen X today to convert a M4 figure to G3M but my Gen X pane disappeared. I can&acute;t find it anywhere. Uninstalled it with DIM and reinstalled. Still not showing up as Window/Panes/Gen X as it used to. I have successfully worked with it numerous times in the past.</p>

<p>I have recently upgraded to 4.10 and this would have been my first time using it since the upgrade. Don&acute;t know if this is somehow related though.</p>

I load a base G2M character. Then when I apply any of the packages, the entire character goes away jus leaving the hair in place.       <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, yesterday, &nbsp;to keep it brief, I accidentally uninstalled 360 items in my library (including Daz Studio), I opened up the file I&#39;d been working on, after reinstalling Daz, to see if I&#39;d deleted anything that I&#39;d been working on. When the file opened a number of items were missing. I didn&#39;t think much of it, closed the file, without saving, and came back later, much late, after I&quot;d reinstalled all of&nbsp;the items that had been deleted.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Even though I&#39;ve installed everything again the items are now invisible in my scene. They are turned on to be visible but aren&#39;t. I can get a couple back by reopening them from the Smart Content table but other items had custom shaders and I can only open a&nbsp;new, other&nbsp;version. I tried refreshing the library but that doesn&#39;t work. Is there anything else I can force refresh? I vaguely remember seeing something like that but can&#39;t find it? What can I do save rebuild the scene?</p>

<p>I shall refrain from uttering my grievances for not having a built in option for motion blur in the render engine, but simply ask how do you do?</p>

<p>I&#39;m gonna assume most will be working with stills, but also want to hear about animation. Maybe people have some clever tricks?</p>
