      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&rsquo;v succeeded at this many times and now suddenly its no longer working. The clothing just stay&nbsp;in mid air, slightly draping. Its a dforce clothing item and the only other thing loaded in my scene is a flat plane. The only thing i can think of is that i was experimenting with different layouts. No idea whats going on. Any help would be much appreciated.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, about 3 weeks ago, I think I broke my G&eacute;nesis 2 Female base figure, by mistake, while saving some Genesis 3 hairs as &quot;figure/prop asset&quot; for genesis 2 female. I am not sure what actually happened, but my guess is that I had G2F selected instead of the hair prop, when saving the support asset (saving was very long, much longer than for a hair prop). The hair was used on a custom figure when it happened, and now it seems a part of the morphs from that figure are applied to the base G2F whenever I load it. I put a screencapture so that you can see what I mean, right is the &quot;broken&quot; G2F base, left is the same base after I clicked &quot;zero figure&quot;.</p>

<p>What I don&#39;t understand is : 1&deg; I saved the new &quot;thing&quot; into a hair folder, with a hair prop name (&quot;XYZ&quot;hairG2F, aside the original hair), so I don&#39;t understand how it can overwrite the core G2F files. 2&deg; There aren&#39;t any morphs with a non-zero default value involved, I didn&#39;t save any morphs at all (I save all my chars as scene subsets). 3&deg; Now it breaks most of my custom characters, but not all of them Oo; some are totally unaffected, although they&#39;re based on G2F just like all others, which is really, really weird Oo. And those that are affected, the morphs modification is not &quot;fixed&quot;, but variable, it will deform some a LOT, and some others, just a little bit (it seems the morphs sliders - Keiko 6 head, etc - don&#39;t indicate the &quot;real&quot; values anymore). 4&deg; Resaving a clean and zeroed G2F base over the original one doesn&#39;t help, I still have the same issues with my characters, and even on very old scenes where I had some G2F base unmorphed.</p>

<p>Today, i&#39;ve reinstalled the G2F Starter Essentials, to see if it would help, not only it didn&#39;t, but it &quot;broke&quot; again the the base G2F, just like it was after the problem in the first place (I mean, it overwrite the &quot;repaired&quot; unmorphed base G2F with the morphed one Oo).</p>

<p>I&#39;ve really no clue how to solve this problem. I&#39;ve searched and deleted all files that were created/modified the day it happened, into \data and temp \roaming directories, so there must be a &amp;@&sect;#! remnant file somewhere, but I am completely unable to locate it.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have Look at my hair and the catalizer. I love them. But i also had the free player once.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Every now and then, i accidently install the free player, because it&#39;s somewhere in the DIM under the new Installation, messing everything up. It overwrites the LAMH Files, so everything has to be uninstalled and installed again. I can only install and uninstall the LAMH Player over DIM, but not the full Version. Can you please PLEASE make it possible to either:</p>

<p>- deactivate a download once and forever (not only one time, and after the next refresh its back there again</p>

<p>- Make it possible to install / uninstall both the free player and the full product over DIM, so if you accidently messed up, you can fix it easily?</p>

<p>I&#39;m really getting upset about this! Thank you for your help!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,&nbsp;</p>

<p>I tried searching the forums for an answer to this, but maybe I&#39;m not searching for the right wording, I don&#39;t know, but I apologize if this is super easy or has been spoken about at length.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But I was just playing around with a spotlight. I don&#39;t know what I hit, but all of a sudden when I switched the light geometry to disc, the shape of the light showed up as a white circle. I turned it to cylinder, and a cylinder showed up, rectangle which changed to a rectangle, and I was able to see the lighting change on the character. I even changed the scale and made it look great. Then I went to move the character, clicked back on the light and all I saw were the beams coming out of the spotlight itself without the cylinder showing anymore. I added in a new spotlight and changed that to sphere, but nothing happened, the sphere didn&#39;t show up this time, it just looks like the point option. Up until that moment, any time I changed it from point to sphere or something, I just assumed it was doing something, but I never actually saw it make any change so this got me really excited.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I wish I could take a photo to show you guys what I&#39;m talking about to help, but sadly I can&#39;t get it to show again. Same with the linear point light, earlier this week I was able to see a grid around the whole light that I could adjust to show what the light was ecompassing and now I can&#39;t get that back.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m sure there&#39;s one simple button I don&#39;t know I need to press, so any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am trying without success to rig a prop following the tutorial here <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNFHv8K8qKg">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNFHv8K8qKg</a> by Sickleyield.</p>

<p>I have modelled the prop in Blender, created a number of vertex groups and UV mapped them all.&nbsp; I have exported the prop to .obj, but when I come to adding the geometry in the Figure Setup pane, the .obj is imported but the vertex groups are not.&nbsp; I have one entry only below the prop name, and it&#39;s &#39;default&#39; whereas I do not have a vertex group named &#39;default&#39;.</p>

<p>The one thing I am not clear on is that my prop is one object in Blender made of several separate meshes.&nbsp; I cannot tell whether the object Sickleyield is using is one single mesh or not, but it would seem logical that it isn&#39;t - at least the door and walls as separate meshes would be my approach - so not convinced this is the issue</p>

<p>Any help/suggestions/explanations of what I am doing wrong appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently made a custom morph slider for a Genesis 8 female, the intention is to make a transformation sequence. However, as I move the slider it causes her eyes to go in wild directions when posing. I asked a friend and he stated that it was an issue with Victoria 7, but wasn&#39;t sure if there was a fix. Figured I would reach out and see if anybody knew a way to prevent this from happening. Thanks in advance for your help.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I currently have all my software scene&nbsp;files and product libraries on one machine, an aging mac pro and I have a newer PC with a pascal Titan black and a maxwell titan x. When I use the PC for faster renders it reads scene file and data from the mac disk over the network. I&#39;m upgrading the mac to have a faster 1TB PCie SSD and was thinking it would be faster to move all my program files scene and data files there. Shouldn,t that help performance, load times at least? ( I have multiple figure scenes that can take minutes to load)&nbsp;</p>

<p>Can I just move the all the applications directories and Libraries? I can add them to the Content Library paths in Daz - is that all there is too it? Any gotchas? And what DIM? Do I need to tell it the next locations for new content installs?</p>

<p>I thought I&#39;d solved this buy it seems I hadn&#39;t, however I have found the reason for it. It happens when viewed through a camera with the headlight switched on and set to &lt;&nbsp;0.1. Why? I have scene lights on, in fact the plane the figures is stood on has an emissive aplied to it. It renders perfectly well but I have to switch on preview lights to edit the scene.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi. I often read the problems that you have with animations in Motion Builder to return them to Daz Studio.<br />
Let&#39;s say it clearly: It is impossible, due to the peculiar behavior of the interpreter of Daz, both bvh and fbx.<br />
I&#39;ve tried with free software, like Blender, or Bvhacker, and there&#39;s no way. The MoBu bvh is correct in other applications, but not in Daz.<br />
All we need is the 3DXchange program from Realillusion (Those from iClone ..., which in this case we can ignore.)<br />
With the animation of any well made Genesis in MoBu, which can have several takes, we open it in 3DXchange. Automatically, recognize the figure (with genesis 8 is the problem of your A-pose, but we can create a clone in T-pose), and take them, and export them as bvh. And it&#39;s already solved!<br />
We open Daz and the model we apply unlock all bones. You can try with limits off, but I think it is not necessary.<br />
Next, we import the bvh and remap the bones correctly. Save the map with a name, for example MobuPreset ..<br />
And we accept the import.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Actually, it might be written on Mac. This has to do with the EOL or &quot;End Of Line&quot;. On Mac the EOF is CR. Unix / Linux is LF. However, in Win it is CR / LF ..<br />
I do not think the problem is that, easily solvable with Notepad ++, a free software. We only need to activate in View / show simbol / End of line .. In that case, go to menu / edit / EOL conversion ... and save.<br />
The main problem of bvh, is its extreme precision, about 6 decimals .. Something redundant for these cases.<br />
The general problem is that they exceed 2048 characters per line. This is a problem derived from Ms-Dos, etc. I&#39;m not going to get too much into the MaxLength attribute.<br />
If we look at Bvhacker&#39;s open source, we see the following:<br />

<p>I&#39;m remaking the program to accept that higher limit (very simple thing for those who know something about C ++, but I guess, is not the largest user ..)<br />
I&#39;ll expose it to its time ... (Be patient ...)<br />
I wrote a script in Perl (Oh, no! That weird language that only works for text like CGI, etc.)<br />
This is the code to use. (Copy, paste in a notepad as text ... and save as &quot;bvhReducer.pl&quot; ... (For example .. to your taste ..)<br />
If we already have this in a XXX.pl file, Perl should be installed.<br />
I use this: <a href="http://strawberryperl.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://strawberryperl.com/</a><br />
Normally, Perl is added to the Path, but it must be ensured ..<br />
Once this is done, we paste the extension files bvh to a folder, and the Perl script. Be careful with this, since it is irreversible. With a Command Prompt, we execute the command inside the folder. Like &quot;C: / conversion / Perl nameScript.pl&quot;, or just &quot;nameScript.pl&quot;<br />
This will &quot;remove grease&quot; from the bvh, creating a new xxx.bvh to xxx.bvh.bvh, totally acceptable in Bvhacker, without loss of quality.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I ran into something rather strange. Perhaps I inadvertently changed one of my settings in Studio. I don&#39;t know but here&#39;s the problem. When I go to the parameters tab in studio, then click on a part of a figure, say a thigh or fore arm, it just goes to the whole figure! In other words, I can&#39;t click on a certain body part and go directly to that part to begin transforming it where as in the past I could.</p>

<p>So my question, why is this happening? Did I somehow do something to change this or could it be a problem with the program itself?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>The recent Freebie, Mort Augur which is part of the bundle.When trying to load the set pieces just throws an error. it says it needs something in the scene to load it. When reviewing the log file, it says it is throwing a memory exception thingamabob.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>The only piece of this that actually loads anything is the lights and camera. The set props...ie the walls and the throne etc. Do that error.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I bought this outfit this morning. It is a beautiful outfit.<br />
<br />
I loaded the full outfit onto stock G8 and tried dForce on several easy poses. Each time it crashed. I&#39;ve tried from an initial pose, and tried a timeline animation. I have spent hours on this. I have the latest 4.10, and I tried 4.11 beta with the same result. There is no warning - it gets a long way through the sim, everything looks good, no jaggies, then Studio terminates.<br />

I have used dForce with other products a fair bit, and for the most part it has been reliable. I know what to avoid (e.g. hands or arms pinning the material etc). Most of my problems have been tears, not crashes, so this is annoying.</p>

<p>I enjoy it, it is a good Firebird likeness but it has 2 issues.</p>

<p>It is too big, it should be reduced to 92% or 93% for better results which is easy to do.</p>

<p>The other issue is trickier, the car seats too high on its wheels (the axles are not centered on the wheels).</p>

<p>On other vehicles I can often select the wheels and adjust their height the way I want but not here.</p>

<p>My question is this:&nbsp; How can I &quot;separate&quot; the wheels from the rest of the car so I can move them independently?</p>

The meshes can be merged into the scene, but the materials are unavailable.<br />
So I installed on &quot;Install&quot; tab in DAZ Studio 4.10 Pro, but materials are still unavailable.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I&#39;ve stumbled across a problem with the Gen 3 female models. If they have a large belly, the belly will get squished in the crotch area, especially if bend the abdomen and/or thighs. The crotch seems very rigid and doesn&#39;t really react to the shape of the belly. Is there any way of fixing this? See attached render of the issue.</p>

Here&#39;s the problem.<br />

How did I find this out?&nbsp;I downloaded both the CPU and GPU free monitering software from my 3rd party GPU and CPU from AMD.<br />
&nbsp;This is a windows problem where the user is not recognized as the admin, and a program tried to do something unitl a crash is caused. The crash is random and it took me 2 days to find this solution.<br />
<br />
Other&#39;s who look in the events part of windows will find these id numbers, which will start the process and take them to other places where people have had these issues.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;The above solution is 2 days of my life excluding the week of random shutdowns. I hope this helps someone.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok, the topic says it all.&nbsp; I&#39;ve used Poser since version 3, so I know how to use it (I&#39;m also a Poser Ambassador) ... This has my stymied.&nbsp; I think there may be a hiearchy issue but then I haven&#39;t come up with this issue before so not sure there.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I move the head of the charger, the bridle stays put after I parent it to the Charger&#39;s head.&nbsp; When I conform the bridle goes off in some bazzar position not associated with the Charger.&nbsp; I will look at the hiearchy again ... but thought I would bring this here to see what you all thought of it.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p><span>Tested several variations of &quot;</span>Genesis 3 Male&quot; -&nbsp;<span>The problem persists.</span></p>

<p><span>Of course one can buy &quot;anit-poke&quot; software ...&nbsp;but actually I would have expected an update from the seller -&nbsp;but I own the product for more than a year and there have been no changes.</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everybody,</p>

<p>like title suggests I&#39;ve an issue with render of&nbsp; Genesis 8 female characters in genitalia area. I&#39;ve noticed it because I rendered a character with a bikini that expose the higher part of pubic area and in render appear a line without texture...so i tried to render her naked and is all around the pubic area this line...I already tried to apply again full body maps, nothing change.</p>

<p>I can solve the problem with Photoshop but I would like to know if there is a solution for have all correct direct in render...maybe&nbsp;I&nbsp;make mistake but I don&#39;t know where.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Daz Studio freezes on start?</p>

<p>Hi, I rarely ask questions but lately my DazStudio instalation is screwed up. Was working on a big scene lately then for what ever reason Daz Studio freezed up as I tried to close it, the interface was gone but by opening the task manager I saw DazStudio.exe still hanging in there taking 2GB memory. So I thought OK it just don&#39;t want to release the memory, I wonder why DazStudio is slow on that cleaning up by closing anyway so I forced to close the task. Now if I try to open DS the splash screen remains at the point where it says &quot;Connecting to CMS...&quot; and the exe is only using 35MB without loading any interface.</p>

<p>Should I uninstal CMS from windows and install it again with DIM?</p>

<p>Using Windows 7 and DazStudio 4.10.0.123</p>
