      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently installed DS 4.11.0.236, and everything works fine, except for the Anodized Shaders by Dimension Theory. Every single one comes out black. So, I went back to my previous version of DS, just to check it isn`t something I`ve done wrong, and they all work fine.</p>

<p>I deleted all the files, downloaded again and re-installed, but they are all still black.</p>

<p>Any ideas what has happened? I really love these shaders, so I`m not going to be happy if I`ve lost them forever.</p>

<p>I made a wearable for genesis 8 in blender. it works fine. i wanted to add morphs to it and make them appear in the shaping tab. i read some threads from the forum and i found out that the morph type must be &quot;modifier/shape&quot; and the path must be somewhere in &quot;actor&quot;. but there is no actor level in the parameters tab. not in the imported obj, not after transfer utility or converting it to a figure and also not after saving it as a prop asset.</p>

<p>does anyone know how i get the actor level to parameters tab?</p>

<p>I want to make a shirt for g8f but I&#39;m not able to get a clean result in the armpit area. When I raise the arm to the limit there are always some strange deformations. I tried to repaint the weight map but I&#39;m not even get close to a acceptable result. I also tried different settings in the transfer utility without success.<br />
First image is a test-shirt with copied vertex from g8f (with removed sharp edges, but it doesn&#39;t seem to make a difference). Second image is a own model made out of a cube in blender.</p>

<p>Does anyone have ideas?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a question, I have noticed that in a lot of the YouTube tutorials I see the first step a lot of folks do is to select everything in the scene and apply the Iray Uber Base shadder.&nbsp; This makes sense to me for items that are not native Iray but if you working with characters or objects that are are already optimized for Iray, did you really need to do this?&nbsp; Would you&#39;ld you be overriding the Iray shadders used for the object?&nbsp; Is this really good first step?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am currently working on a morph and I am having issues with scaling when exporting to an.obj file from hexagon.</p>

<p>I use daz option to send to hexagon with base resolution and smoothing turned off.</p>

<p>I finished editing in Hex and wanted to export as a .obj file so that I can use the option in morph loader to reverse deformations so that only the changes I made would take effect.&nbsp; The settings in Daz and in Hex are the same 1unit=1cm and scale is set to 100% but when I import the morph and apply it, the object gets super tiny.&nbsp; I have mucked around with settings to see if there was a way to compensate and so far nothing has worked.</p>

<p>I know I can export from Daz as .obj and import that in to Hex and edit and export, but am afriad of doing all the work a second time just to have the same issue when using morph loader to import the changes.</p>

<p>Any hints or advice would be great. I am fairly new to using Hex.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I noticed in doing a close-up render today using Darius 7 that there appears to be a skin tag right in the fold of the eyelid. I thought it might have been the lashes, but it was still there after hiding them. Any thoughts on how to lose them? They are the same on both sides and it happens right out of the box from loading Darius 7 with rendering at SubD 2 (which is what Darius 7HD defaults to). For now I suppose I could just re-render that one little portion at SubD 1, but I&#39;d love to get rid of them.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I&#39;m trying to create a room using Cinema4D and export the walls and floor&nbsp;into OBJ files, then importing them into Daz3D. When I apply shaders to it, I get those lines like on the back wall and the top of the right wall instead of the full texture. I know I probably could get better result if I use UV mapping, but if I were to use shaders in DAZ3D instead, how do I fix this issue?</p>

I Added a Dforce modifier to a hair model and the Daz crashes as soon as the list of edge springs registry completes and the simulation starts. this is with just the haor visible and self collisions off. The log is not helpful as to why the crash, is there any way to debug this futher?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I remember reading that it&#39;s best apply Uber Base&nbsp;Shader [UBS]&nbsp;to everything before rendering so I have been doing that but realised by doing that my renders take an age. The same render without the UBS is done in a fraction of the time. Eg I applied the UBS to four primitives in my scene last night with two G3 figures,&nbsp;9 hours later the scene was still at 0%. I&#39;ve removed those shaders and just applied the same settings without the UBS and after 13 minutes the scene is at the same stage of completion. Am I doing something wrong? Was the advcie terrible? What&#39;s the situation?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am not sure if the issue is just for my ticket or if this is the norm, but I am used to companies replying in 5-10 hours max; or at most, the next business day.</p>

<p>I did file a ticket to support for an incorrect checkout and so far has been more than 24 hours and no sign of anyone even reply to the ticket.</p>

<p>Just to know; if this is the norm; or if I have to start fires and use smoke signals to get someone to look at the issue. They didn&#39;t even reply to Paypal so I am stuck in between DAZ and Paypal.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I had an issue with my CMS connection so I followed some of the advice listed on the forum. It worked, but now I&#39;ve lost all my saved poses from within Presets in Smart Content, (also saved materials and surfaces) I looked through my computer and the poses are all there in&nbsp;/Users/jim/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library/Scene Subsets but I can&#39;t find them from within Daz Stuio Smart Content. Have I lost the plot or have I somehow lost connection to them?</p>

<p>Edit. I can find them Content LIbrary but how can I&nbsp;find them through Smart Content again?</p>

<p>I am interested in writing some DAZ scripts.&nbsp; I know that DAZ uses the Java Script language.&nbsp; I have never written code for Java script but learning it should not be a program because I was proficient in C, C++, Ada, Pascal., etc.&nbsp; It is my understanding that Java is very similar to C++ so learning Java Script should not be too hard to learn.&nbsp;</p>

<p>1. Where can I get some tutorials for Java Script?</p>

<p>2.Are there any differences between Java Script and DAZ scripts that I should be aware of?</p>

<p>3. Where can I find documentation about the predefined&nbsp; DAZ variables, constants, functions etc?</p>

<p>4. Where can I see some examples of the source code for DAZ scripts?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, everyone. I can&#39;t find any threads on this subject but if you know of any I&#39;m happy to review them. I have this item, the V4 Flight Jacket by Mytilus. I want to use it as a standalone prop being tossed onto a pile of stuff. It is a .cr2 that has a couple of useful morphs and I can rotate the arm bones in it. But in order to crumple it so it doesn&#39;t look like a posed but rigid figure of V4, I planned to use&nbsp;Dformers on it.<br />
<br />
But it seems that .cr2s won&#39;t successfully spawn a morph in DS v.10.x - if they ever did in any version. (V4 was before my time.) Studio gives no message indicating that the &quot;Spawn Morph&quot; function failed, but the morph doesn&#39;t appear in the item&#39;s parameters aftwerward. Did I get something wrong here? I&#39;m fairly new at Dformers too although I&#39;ve used them successfully a number of times.<br />
<br />
I know I can export the .cr2 as an .obj file, and that Dformers will work on that. However, when I export the .cr2, I lose the abilityto pose the jacket.&nbsp;&nbsp;I&#39;d like to pose it and Dform it, but not necessarily in that order. Any suggestions?</p>

<p>DS the images for my morphs do not show, and for one morph it has a question mark for the name the label shows the name but all of a sudden the name shows a question mark. So I go to paramters for the morph and change the name to its name load the image for the body, but after saving it nothing is there and the image is still there as well as the&nbsp; morph .</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My laptop&rsquo;s hard drive is almost full. &nbsp; I have windirstat (I think that is its name) to show where the biggest section of files are. &nbsp;It has a theoretical one tb drive but that does not mean I have a TB of actual space to use of course. &nbsp;I cannot afford a desktop at this time. &nbsp;I am thinking of another attempt at an external hdd but I am hesitant as i would need to travel with it and I am afraid something might happen to it.</p>

<p>what are good external portable HDD&rsquo;s? I know that not everywhere I go to do my 3D/2D work has an outlet as right now I am not near a power outlet (at least not one near a table and chair! &nbsp;Not wanting to do 3D on the floor.)</p>

<p>another reason not for a desktop is that it is hard to get work done on the computer at home, but that is another topic for another day.</p>

<p>what is an effective way to delete all my DS content to restart better? &nbsp;Especially when (and if) I get a new external hard drive?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have modeled and laboriously rigged an object intended to be a geograft.&nbsp; I have now realized that a small part of the mesh needs to be changed <img alt="angry" src="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/angry_smile.png" title="angry" />.&nbsp; The bones do not need any updating.&nbsp; The change involves (only) decreasing the number of vertices in one area of the model, so the &#39;Update Base Geometry&#39; option refuses to work.</p>

<p>I cannot face re-rigging this thing from scratch.&nbsp; So, is there any way at all in which I can copy or transfer the existing rig/bones to the updated mesh after importing it?&nbsp; I think I would rather have to do the weight mapping manually than re-position all the bones as accurately as I have already done, if that is what is required.</p>

<p>Gah, stupid me for not checking the geometry earlier.&nbsp; Any helpful suggestions appreciated.</p>
