      <description><![CDATA[<p>I forgot which mermaid tail this is, but the figure is Mika 7.&nbsp; I think it is Laguna-Mermaid tail for Genesis 3.&nbsp; The texture on Mika 7 is the SY Blue Ones for GF3.&nbsp; The problem I am seeing is the issue of the texture at the waist where the tail meets Mika 7.&nbsp; Right now doing a render of just the waist with a different Laguna-mermaid tail texture.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m hoping someone can help with this problem I have had when buting this product this morning.</p>

<p>First off, the product took an AGE to download, and now that it has, the hairbase (skin texture) loads fine, but the actual hairs don&#39;t.&nbsp; They show as being present in the scene tab, and all of the preset shapes and materials are present, but the actual hairs are definitely not to be found anywhere. Not in viewport, and not in an actual render.</p>

<p>With the DL taking so long, I thought it may be an issue with a corrupted transfer or similar, so I completely uninstalled via DIM, and deleted the package. I have re-downloaded (still took a while but nowhere near as long!) and I am having the exact same issue.</p>

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I was playing with the surface of one of the objects in a scene. In the viewport, when I used the &#39;texture shaded&#39; in the view port, the texture shows up purple, it is suppose to be Iray granite gray. It does this with any surface I change in this scene. I do not know if it is relevent but the scene was orginally for Poser and&nbsp;was converted to Daz.&nbsp;The texture renders properly, it just annoying that it is purple in the view port.</p>

<p>Am I doing something wrong? Does the purple indicate something?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just ran into a problem, what has something to do with testing by rendering a series of images over night. I already made an animation, so i know how it should work. But ... jeah, the but&#39;ss&nbsp;</p>

<p>I want to setup a scene on every frame, or better, just let my model stay on (key)frame one, sit on frame two, jump on frame three, next one stays and has another shirt on, the one after it has new make-up. I think you get the idea. I&nbsp;want to work on my project&nbsp;at day and render it at night or when im gone, doing other stuff. So i could say, hell im out of here three houres and just render some images while im gone.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is this even possible?! The create keyframe function seems not do do the trick and if i &quot;play the animation&quot; the model just stays there in the same shirt, nothing changes at all. I dont have done it with posing yet in this case. But it would be nice too for sure. So is this a bug, or is it&nbsp;impossible to do?!&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I created a sort of 2001: A Spece Odyssey style underlit floor for a scene, basically something like <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.designboom.com/art/2001-space-odyssey-replica-the-14th-factory-los-angeles-03-27-2017/">the ones shown here</a>.&nbsp; Its an actual, 3D prop oringially made with prims in OpenSim and then converted to DAE (collada).&nbsp; Anyway, my problem is, it looks fantastic in the scene, but the scene takes 2 hours to render with that floor in it, but if I change it&nbsp;to a flat plane with an emmissive glow, the scene renders in a couple minutes,</p>

<p>I WANT to replace the floor with something that looks identical to what I have, but that is simply a plane-prim with&nbsp;custom shader applied that consists of&nbsp;an image of my special-built floor as seen from above.&nbsp; I tried moddifying one of the Creative Emissive Lighting for Iray shaders, probably KE White Neutral Iray tho I don&#39;t remember for sure, by inserting my made texture into the Base Color, and the floor pattern showed up in Viewport, but didn&#39;t show up in the scene when I started a render.&nbsp; Obviously I&#39;m doing this wrong.</p>

<p>Is there a fairly simple, straightforward guide to making an emissive Iray texture of the sort I want?&nbsp; Ideally, I want something that has a sort of grid-pattern where the lines of the grid are dim, but the square areas visually are&nbsp;functioning as a light-fixture, projecting light UP into the rest of the scene, illuminating everything above it.&nbsp; I&#39;m guessing its just a matter of inserting similar images into various other parts of the made shader, I&#39;m just not sure what &quot;tab&quot;&nbsp;goes in what &quot;slot,&quot; and how I&#39;d go about rejiggering the seen-from-straight-above-the-floor image I made into the other sorts of texture needed for each respective &quot;slot.&quot;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have figured out how to add bones to a body and now I need to manipulate them. Problem is, the bones seem to be in two parts. If I move the green arrow widget, it moves a yellow bone leaving a red one behind. If I move the red arrow widget, it simply changes the size of the yellow bone. It doesn&rsquo;t effect the red one. If I click on the red one, the yellow bone highlights along with its arrows. But nothing happens to the red bone.</p>

<p>How do you move both bones together?</p>

<p>I have included a screenshot of simply moving the shin bone&rsquo;s green arrow down and second one moving the green arrows forward. You can definitely see a red and a yellow bone in the second one.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I&#39;ve started branching out into animation and video stuff but of course the main issue is that even at the most basic I can manage, a 20 second clip still took 5+ hours to render out at 720p. My poor GTX1080Ti is powerful but it still takes time.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve heard people talk about getting stuff rendered by third party companies for a fee. Is that a real thing?</p>

<p>So...I need <strong>Jamacian / Rasta</strong> clothing for a project.&nbsp; I cannot seem to find any such items male or female.&nbsp; So thought I might have to alter some existing textures for clothing I have to make them &quot;Rasta&quot; style and colors.</p>

<p>Any thoughts on how one would do this and be sure everything lines up?</p>

<p>Alternativly any links to Jamaican or Rasta clothing sets or textures already in production would be great.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I wanted to upgrade my GPU even before I discovered the world of Daz3D, but before my main consideration was gaming.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I know that the 1080 TI with 11GB of Memory will be a big improvement over my GTX 970 with 4GB of memory, however, will my CPU or PC RAM now become a bottleneck or does IRAY run entirely on the GPU?</p>

<p>I have an i5-3570K running at 3.40 GHz and 8 GB or RAM.</p>

<p>Another question is if I should keep my old GTX 970 and if it can help with rendering?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I often just use the G8F head in my renders (parented to other generation bodies), but it means every scene I have 2x figures.&nbsp;This (by multiplication) is 6 figures for a 3 character scene.&nbsp; This adds up!</p>

<p>Would it be possible to hide/delete the <strong>body </strong>polygons from G8F, and save as a new figure? (where everything from the neck up maintains it&#39;s current functionality, bones and all)</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried it once, but DS thought long on it, then crashed on me...so I figured I would ask.&nbsp; :)&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Everytime I render all the characters look transparent. Before I add clothes they render just fine but when I add clothes the characters become transparent.</p>

<p>I have attached screen shots of both, one rendered without clothes and the other with clothes.</p>

<p>This happens with all my characters not just this one.</p>

<p>This just started to happen tonight.</p>

<p>I downloaded and installed the following today,<em> Metalized Glass Shaders For DAZ Studio, West Park Basement, DAZ Horse 2 Pro Bundle</em>. I used the West Park Basement and Metalized Glass Shaders and everything rendered just fine. But when I used the DAZ Horse 2 Bundle is when I started having the problem. 1st time I rendered the horse (just horse nothing else) the horse rendered fine. When I rendered the horse with the armor the horse was very transparent but the armor was fine. I re-rendered and the horse and armor rendered ok. Then I added a character and clothes on the character and the character was transparent when I rendered it. So I deleted the character and added him back into the scene and rendered without clothes and everything (horse, armor and character) rendered good, then I added clothes to the character and rendered it, and the character rendered transparent, (The horse, armor and clothes rendered ok.) So then I exited out of DAZ and loaded DAZ back up, I tried rendering just characters (no horse or armor) without clothes and with clothes and when I render, everything renders fine until I add clothes. Then the characters become transparent again. I even shut down the computer for awile and turned it back on and still the same thing happens.</p>

<p>Could someone please help with this.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I&#39;m trying to create a marine scene, so I&#39;ve set out to test HDR backgrounds with Iray to get this effect of blue sky with clouds and lighting.</p>

<p>The main problem I see in all the HDRI Environment Maps is that they always apply a land or mountains between the sky and the model, so I can not create a scene in which my model seems to be in the sea completely because it always has ground below .</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>I&#39;m not sure if there is a solution to this problem but i thought i ask. </span></p>

<p><span>I don&#39;t use one Content Library for Daz Studio. When l first started using Daz Studio I put everything i had in just one &quot;My Library&quot; folder and &nbsp;i just found it too difficult to find stuff and it just was a mess. A couple of years ago I had a hard drive crash and so when i reinstalled my content, i separated the content according to how i was going to use it. </span></p>

<p><span>For example i have a People Folder (characters, hair, clothes), &nbsp;one for shaders, one for plant and trees, and so on. i actually have 36 separate folders </span><em>plus </em><span>matching folders for my older Poser content.. I might sound crazy to some of you and i might agree with you. &nbsp;i attached a few images of all my directories so you see the how far go with this., i even gave each folder a unique icon (weird huh?)</span></p>

<p><span>Finally my question is there a way you include these many, many folders in Smart Content. I&#39;m not the biggest fan of the Smart Content &nbsp;but it would be helpful sometimes, especially with my shader folder.</span></p>

<p><span>Any ideas?</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>When editing the parameters for a Camera, there are no parameters in Lens or Blades section, and those options are blackened and italic. I understand that these are features are included in version 4.9.3 and up, but I have 4.10.0.123, and I don&#39;t have these features.</p>

<p>I tried reinstalling the program, and still don&#39;t have them. HOWEVER, I tried installing it on an old laptop, and sure enough, the missing features are available. What is happening here?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Help!!. My Daz seems to have gone all wrong. I have tried uninstalling then deleting any folders left, uninstalled DIM etc, then re installed everything I also restarted my computer each time, but get the same results. This is on the biggest majority of the files in the smart content tab, content library and surfaces tab as you will see from the attached screen captures. I have contacted the guys at the Tech. Dept but Knowing ow busy they are, can anyone help me on here please<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I purchased Reality 4.3 on March 6, 2017 (order number 104537148) but I did not install it then because I planned to get a new computer at that time. I had some unexpected bills though and am, for the time being, stuck with my old computer. So early this morning I downloaded Reality and installed it to DAZ as well as Luxrender.</p>

<p>It seemed to install okay and I was able to load some lights to a test scene however, when I click on &quot;Reality Render&quot; nothing seems to happen so I click on it again and I get the attached error and DAZ locks up entirely. I&#39;m not really good with technical problems but hope someone has a suggestion for straightening this out. Thanks much in advance.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Would it work? Even if it renders slower than my current 980ti, my biggest problem with speed is scenes dumping to CPU, so it wouldn&#39;t matter if I could have the full 24GB RAM of the K80 available.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using my 980ti for rendering only, on-board graphics to drive the display.<br />

For example I would like to remove the side walls and footer lights from The asian Stage model completely. I realize that I can just turn off visability, but I just want to save the the base stage as a prop without walls or curtains. Thanks!</p>
