      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been working with Daz for some years now, installed it on 2 PC&#39;s.Big fan of the product, working great.</p>

<p>Because of hardware issues of one of my PC&#39;s, bought me a new laptop, installed DAZ but very strange things happen.<br />
After I load standard G8M for instance, I only have face morphs under &#39;actors&#39; in the parameters, and even those morphs are far from complete.<br />
When I load a special character like eg Ollie, it loads standard without any morphs of Ollie.<br />
No posing chapter under parameters either although I can apply predefined poses and pose manually when I select an arm or leg or whatever</p>

<p>Already desinstalled, reinstalled, with install manager, without, in default folders, on manual path, all content downloaded, only G8 basic stuff downloaded. Even installed old 4.9 version,&nbsp;nothing helps.</p>

<p>I must be doing something wrong, but can&#39;t figure out what it is.<br />
Could someone be so kind to give a clue?<br />
Hopefully this screenshot might give you guys a hint, of course happy to give extra info&nbsp;<br />

<p>I have an animation where a model is walking with a gun pointing straight forward.</p>

<p>It looks great, but&nbsp;I would like the model to have the gun pointing downwards instead of forward.</p>

<p>I have tried to google a solution for this, but I didn&#39;t even find a starting point.</p>

<p>Or do I have to change the arm / hand pose for every keyframe?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Could anybody give me a push to the right direction of how this could be done?</p>

<p>I have a Marting HD actor and I want to apply his parts, but the &quot;Smart Connect&quot; does not do anything after selection one of the two options.</p>

<p>Even going to Michael 8 and selecting the glands, nothing. I&#39;m using the Text. Shaded in the View Port and PhotoReal + Nvidia Iray when rendering.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><em>Is there any easy way to change the colour of the G2 female&#39;s (or male&#39;s) eyebrows? Or is there a product specifically for this?</em> I have the Skin-Builder for G2F but whenever I try to change the eyebrow colour I get &quot;file not found&quot; plus before I click the eyebrow window off I can see that the new eyebrows and colour are higher on the forehead than the original brows which remain unchanged, while using the slider to change the eyebrow height makes no difference to the height. The new eyebrows and colour then vanish once the eyebrow window is closed. <em>So I&#39;m looking for an alternative method.</em></p>

<p>I realize that this is unlikely, but I am interested in converting conforming clothing for the new figures backwards to use with the older Micael 4 / Victoria 4, David 4 figures.<br />
(Why? Because I&nbsp;primarily use Poser and it takes too much effort to work with the Genesis figures in Poser).</p>

<p>I did lots of morphs till now. especially with full body morphs I sometimes have the problem, that the vertices move in strange directions. i do my morphs in blender. when i do test exports in small steps it works for normal so I can&#39;t figure out what&#39;s the point I do wrong. Does anyone has the same problem and a solution?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Load times of my figures are getting worse and worse, loading a G3F scene or a new figure tends to take ages, but at least several minutes. As I do have lots of content I wonder whether figure load times are connected to the size and structure of the runtime, especially the data folder.</p>

<p>From my understanding if I load a G3F or G8F-based figure, the data folder is completely read/loaded to populate the parameters tab with all the available morphs, right? First of all I do have two runtimes. One with DIM content, and the second with content from other stores like Rendo and various free resources. The data folder alone in my default runtime is &gt; 50 GB, the G3F subfolder&nbsp;&gt; 8 GB. Second runtime data folder is also big but with G3F &lt; 1 GB. Both runtimes are on the same external HDD.</p>

<p>Now to speed up things I think&nbsp;about:</p>

<p>- Merging the runtimes. That way the read process would cover only one folder so it might be faster?<br />
- Uninstalling all figures/morphs I don&#39;t use often. Now that might be clumsy and time consuming.</p>

<p>Does anybody have had a similar situation and other ideas on how to improve things?</p>

<p>Yesterday the software was working properly. But something happened with the render engine today and all the images look like this:</p>

<p>What I&#39;ve tried to fix:<br />
1. reboot computer (no results)<br />
2. change render settings to CPU/GPU (no results)<br />
3. turn off/on the fireflies filter (no results)<br />
4. change hdri&nbsp;and illumination options&nbsp;(no results)</p>

<p>I did not make any modifications on my computer from yesterday to today. Yesterday the renders were working properly. Even using the same scenes saved yesterday, I still have this problem.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>EDIT:&nbsp;I&#39;m&nbsp;trying&nbsp;rendering a model&nbsp;without any prop. Normally the render would take 2-3 minutes on my PC, but after 8 minutes it had not gone 0%.</p>

<p>This might not be a big problem, but can&#39;t seem to get through it... It happens with only some products, here I have an example of NJA ponytail hair for G2F that I try to fit on a G3F. The mesh is distorted at neck level and that part&nbsp;doesn&#39;t follow the head movements.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I tried fitting it as a short hair,&nbsp;shoulder lenght hair and none. I also tried to play in the scene identification parameters...</p>

<p>Have any idea for how to fix this? I&#39;m sure you do ;P</p>

<p>No matter how many times I uninstall, I can&#39;t get the PostgreSQL to run (i.e. it won&#39;t show up under &quot;Services&quot; in the task manager and I&#39;m having problems running the transfer utility because the &quot;projection template&quot; is greyed out). I just downloaded DAZ Studio 4.10 today and I&#39;m not really sure whether I had this problem before or not. I think I possibly didn&#39;t. When I first downloaded the update, I didn&#39;t realize what the PostGreSQL stuff was so I didn&#39;t download it until I noticed the problems with the transfer utility. So I think that might have been the cause, but I still can&#39;t figure out what the cure would be.</p>

<p>I run Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit. I have the 64 bit of DAZ as well.</p>

<p>Edit: previously titled &quot;can&#39;t get&nbsp;CMS to work in 4.10&quot;, changed it because it seems my problem doesn&#39;t have anything to do with the CMS but the projection templates for G8F not working. (below is the unedited original post)</p>

<p>I&#39;ve uninstalled DAZ and all products from the DAZ install manager... and also the DAZ install manager itself, using the uninsstaller. But nothing happens.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I do have the CMS files installed, apparently:</p>

<p>in</p>

<p>C:\Users\super\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms</p>

<p>there&#39;s a a file, &quot;cmscfg.config&quot;, plus a folder called &quot;ContentCluster&quot; with a bunch of content, including a file called &quot;postgresql.conf&quot;, but again, there&#39;s nothing in the &quot;services&quot; tabs, and I can&#39;t find any other evidence that it&#39;s actually installed, except for the DAZ install manager claiming it is.</p>

<p>Any suggestions!?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there any way to get the emitted light to match the color of the surface emissive shader(i.e. UV purple, green, etc.)? It seems like&nbsp;we&#39;re stuck with only adjusting the color temperature, 0(red) to 10k(light blue). This is rather odd since we&#39;re able to adjust colors for lights, such as spotlights.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m having an issue whenever I load a G8 figure into the scene it always comes out looking very emaciated. I think this is a morph gone wrong, but I&#39;m not sure where this is coming from. I uninstalled the G8 Head and Body morphs and reinstalled the base character, but it still came out the same. Has anyone had the same issue, or have any ideas on how to fix this? In the attachment&nbsp;I&#39;ve got the base G3 character loaded on the left and the G8 Base loaded on the right.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I put the G8 variant&nbsp;Toulouse hair on a G8F figure and while I was able to colour it I can&#39;t style it. In the past I was able to edit the lenghts and style as I wished in fact the character I am making is a recreation of one that I had made once before and I was able to do it then just fine. If I move the sliders right and left nothing happens (like for example &quot;windy&quot; or &quot;ADJ front out&quot; or &quot;modern&quot; etc). I at first tried deleting the outfit she was wearing as there was headgear on it and I thought that was the problem but it didn&#39;t do anything. Then I&nbsp; unparented it and made it separate from the figure and that didn&#39;t allow me to adjust it. I tried deleting and adding another toulouse hair piece but the same thing happened. Anyone know a fix for this? Is it the figure or the hair that is causing this? I even tried changing display/draw settings option but that didn&#39;t work. I also closed Daz and reopened/reloaded my file and it is still being stubborn.</p>

<p>finally I migrated to a new PC (Win10).<br />
For DAZ I moved all of my content onto the new PC. Same for the complete DIM folders. None of the DAZ applications is stored on the new program-HDD. The installation should be performed by DIM (again).</p>

<p>Now the question:<br />
How to tell DIM to install a defined version of DAZ-Studio?<br />
On my old PC I had the 4.9.2 full version and the 4.10 beta installed via DIM.</p>

<p>Is there any way to take advantage of the lEye &amp; rEye Face Groups and split the Iris, Sclera, &amp; Pupil Surfaces Groups into lIris, rIris, lSclera, rSclera, lPupil, rPupil Surfaces Groups for each eye?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever noticed in any of your renders that the people seem to be &#39;floating&#39; above the ground?</p>

<p>In Daz Studio (which I assume you are using) you can fix that real easy; Go to render settings for the Iray render engine, and click on the Environment settings.</p>

<p>Just above the section where you can turn the ground on or off, you will see a setting called &#39;Ground Position Mode&#39;. By default, it is set to &#39;Auto&#39;. If you set it to &#39;Manual&#39;, that should level your character back to the ground.</p>

<p>Just make sure they are on the ground first by checking in either Front view or one of the Side views to make sure they are flat on the ground plane. Hope this helps and keep up the great work!</p>

<p>I haven&#39;t tested this out with HDRI Environments Dome turned on, just with the Dome turned off.</p>
