<p>I have scurbbed my computer for all daz files.</p>

<p>I have reenstalled with the same problem.</p>

<p>I erased McAfee and now only use Windows Defender.</p>

<p>I worded with Daz3D tech help with no success (2 months). Every week they told me to try a new random fix. Nothing ever worked.</p>

<p>I have unistalled the program.</p>

<p>I have scurbbed my computer for all daz files.</p>

<p>I have a new account with the same problem.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I run SolidWorks2018 no problems. I play all video games on Ultra with no problem.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any suggestions?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, I got this message : &quot;error during rendering&quot; while rendering an image in 3Dlight. Closing this error window and trying to start another render results in a new error message, saying something like &quot;Unable to render. Renderer already in use.&quot; I need to close and restart Daz3D to be able to render again.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I tried to render the same image in Iray : it works. Another image in 3Dlight : it works too. So, the problem is specifically this image when rendered in 3Dlight.</p>

<p>What could cause this problem?</p>

<p>Hello, thanks for your help.&nbsp; Im using Daz 4.9, windows 7, been learning&nbsp;daz for a year now.</p>

<p>I open a new&nbsp;file, use a basic g8/g3 female, use default render settings; recently when I render a movie(stills and image series are ok) in basic open gl or iray I get this!&nbsp; Never had this problem before.&nbsp; Anyone seen this blockiness before?&nbsp; Render settings to my knowledge are at default.</p>

<p>Q2) USING A SECOND COMPUTER AS A RENDER ENGINE</p>

<p>Also, my friend has a windows 10 desk top computer he is giving to me.&nbsp; I want to use it as a render engine.&nbsp; Can I dnld a fesh copy of daz, copy my entire Daz files/folders/account (from windows 7 laptop) onto this windows 10 desktop and render everything on it?</p>

<p>I dont want&nbsp;to buy all the products twice for the desk top rendering engine, I have quite a collection now.&nbsp; Also Im using plugins such as animate2, keymate, graphmate, etc for building my ani&#39;s on the laptop, these have serial numbers, is this an issue?</p>

<p>I would like to export a model (a pistol in my case) out of DAZ.</p>

<p>I have set the model&#39;s translation to 0-0-0.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have then exported it both as FBX and as OBJ.</p>

<p>In both cases, the model doesn&#39;t have its original at 0-0-0 but far away.</p>

<p>I have checked it both in Blender and in Unity.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>What might be the cause for that?</p>

<p>And is there a way to fix this in DAZ?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Having just got the hang of opening cupboard doors and what not the next logical step would be to have opening and closing drawers, but searching for a tutorial has stumped me. Is it possible? I have been experimenting with very long bones to simulate a sliding movement but I know the radius is still there and it just does not feel right.</p>

<p>I am looking at pose controls here, I know how to animate a sliding action.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just purchased an animation by Tazacafe (from Flipbook Market) and am trying to insall it into DAZ, but I&#39;m having difficulty. They claim it&#39;s made specifically to work with DAZ, but I can&#39;t get it to show up inside he app. Their instructions say to &quot;Extract zip file into your Library directory,&quot; but when I place their files there, they do not show up inside Daz when I lanch the app. Am I doing something wrong? The files types in their folder are .DUF files, and a DSA file as well. Anyone have any idea how to get this to import into DAZ?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I really try to understand the rigging in Daz Studio. While examining Genesis 3 in detail, I got stuck on two issues.</p>

<p>1) Why are child bones not connected to their parent (see knee of Genesis 3 female)?</p>

<p>The Thigh Twist ends at the knee, whereas the Shin just starts below the knee. This may make sense in order to get the pivot for the shin to the right place and keep the orientation of the Thigh Twist as it is.</p>

<p>2) Why is the Shin Bone not aligned to the end point? In most tutorials I found, the bone was aligned to the end point in the end. Here the bone end/orientation is different from the end point of the bone. Is there a reason for that? Also the child bones are not connected, but off with white dotted lines.</p>

<p>In general I ask myself, why the bone is not always defined by the start and end point. There is also a rotation defined. This will give the bone a direction, but in order to define the length of the bone a length value should be sufficient. So what is the end point needed for?</p>

<p>DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module &quot;C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\DzCore.dll&quot; at 0033:00000000B2E9B202, DzZeroAction::zeroFigures()+1494402 byte(s)</p>

<p>if the PostgreSQL CMS files are not installed Daz does not crash, but leaving those files unistalled does not help but leads me to beleive they are part of the problem.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>[Is there a fix for Windows 10 Freezing while using Daz?] </span>Any advice or information would be super helpful...This is a new ASUS Rog Stryx laptop, with a GTX Nvidia 1070, an I7&nbsp;8750 2.20, 16 gigs of RAM, and a terabyte combined hard-drive. It&#39;s running Windows 10 Home. I stopped using Windows back in Windows 7, so I have no idea if this is normal or not, but the whole thing sometimes locks up, and the only solution is to shut down. I can&#39;t even access the task manager. Sometimes I&#39;m rendering, sometimes I&#39;m not. Sometimes I&#39;ll have Chrome open, but usually not, and I rarely run anything else on this thing, particularly when using Daz. Some days, in scenes that aren&#39;t particularly complex, it&#39;ll do it four or five times. There&#39;s no consistency, like when using one particular character or set. I&#39;ve shut down as many background processes as I can figure out how to (like Cortana) in hopes of stopping this but nothing I can figure out on my own seems to help.</p>

<p>My fiance thinks we ought to send the computer back, but if it&#39;s a Windows 10 thing, and it&#39;s going to do it no matter what, then I don&#39;t want to go though re-installing everything, etc. Would more RAM help?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, here&#39;s the thing. I recently decided to transfer my library to an external hard drive. And I&#39;m currently in the process of sorting out various issues that go along with such a transfer. However...I&#39;m running into some problems.</p>

<p>Adding the new directories to my Content Library was easy enough. However, I don&#39;t know how to reassign Smart Content to work with the library in the external hard drive. Also, there&#39;s the issue of scenes I haven&#39;t rendered, etc. Will I still be able to render those files after the transfer, or will I have to undergo some arduous process if for some reason I want to revisit my older files or whatever?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Using Daz in Paperspace- mouse sensitivity is too fast for scene view navigation and&nbsp;view control manipulators are reversed (with mouse input).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Keyboard view modifiers work properly as do all other Daz menu selections with the mouse.</p>

<p>With 3Dconnection Spacemouse speed set to min. and all axis reversed, reasonable view controll is achieved.</p>

<p>Other 3D (CAD) program I use in Paperspace (with similar view manipulation) works fine. Used different rigs &amp; mice-&nbsp;laptops &amp; desktop with same result.</p>

<p>Daz help center support indicates that they do not support Daz in Paperspace, request for support has been made to Devs.</p>

<p>Any body else&nbsp;use Daz in paperspace- any issues?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I was wondering if anyone could point me towards any literature regarding how to implement and use procedural nodes for DAZ Studio (Iray), please?&nbsp; I&#39;ve been able to look this up in the manuals for Vue, Blender, Modo, and Poser, but I can&#39;t seem to find the ones for DAZ Studio in any sort of official literature. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Honestly, in my current frame of mind, they could be someplace really obvious and I&#39;m just missing them.&nbsp; I suddenly have a bunch of more free time on my hands and I&#39;d like to update some old products, and wrap up some unfinished projects, but in order to make them congruent across all software packages I need to go back to shader school. :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>If I do a render of Genesis 8 female from the chest up. It takes 4 minuets to get 5% convergence.</p>

<p>If I do an up close face shot render of Genesis 8 female. It takes 17 minutes to reach 1.27% convergence.</p>

<p>I have a GTX 980 with 4gb of memory.&nbsp; The most memory used is 2.5gb.</p>

<p>Is it normal for an up close face render to take extremely longer?</p>

<p>Anyone willing to do a test? Compare a chest up render to an up close face render and compare how long it takes to report the first convergence number.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Nevermind. Found the note that nested layouts are not supported. Might I suggest this as a future enhancement?</p>

<p><strong>Help me <a rel="nofollow" href="/forums/profile/bitwelder">@bitwelder</a>, you&#39;re my only hope!</strong></p>

<p>I made sure to create a dialog without buttons and used only supported widgets, I get the choose Cancel/OK buttons dialog, then nothing. No code, no error dialog, and the the script dialog becomes completely unresponsive (i.e. none of the buttons work any more). The only indication that something went wrong are a couple of lines in the log.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have some clothes on a character, and when I render in Daz it looks perfect.&nbsp; The collision on the clothes is set to the main character.&nbsp; However when I sent the job over bridge to Iray Server, it renders as if collision is not set and as a result the character skin pokes through the clothes in a few places.&nbsp; How can I fix this?</p>

<p>In Daz, if I set the collision to &quot;none&quot;, the skin pokes through in the same pattern as I see in the Iray Server render, so I&#39;m concluding that is the setting that is getting changed/ignored.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Ok, I did a forum search and am not finding the answer easily, and it&#39;s driving me nuts...</p>

<p>How to I tell Install Manager which of my multiple runtimes to install content to, because I&#39;m obviously missing something.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried setting specific runtimes using the gear symbol -&gt; Installation -&gt; Manifest archive... no go. the packages still install to a default daz folder that I don&#39;t even point my install to.&nbsp;</p>

<p>And for some reason which completly escapes me, when I download the zips to just install manually, the packages are in an additional layer folder, which means I have to either RE-ZIP to unpack, or just move folders where they need to go manually.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Somebody please save me from this misery. How to I make Install Manager work with multiple runtimes?</p>

Took a look at it during the rendering and saw the skydome was still there. Expanded all nodes going through the list. Nothing. Tried closing Daz3D. Nope. Just to make sure it wasn&#39;t stuck in Daz I rendered an empty scene. No skydome. I immediately rendered the evil duf. Skydome still there. I think I tried a couple other things but cannot remember what they were.</p>

<p>Now I am stumped. Does anyone have a clue?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi.</p>

<p>I&nbsp;need to export some animations that are quick to render, so I&#39;ll render with 3Delight if the animation is not too long, and with OpenGL if it&#39;s long. I don&#39;t need the quality of IRay, takes way too long.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been fighting with Daz to get a shadow from these two render engines, with no success whatsoever. I created a simple shadow (just a blurred&nbsp;rounded rectangle&nbsp;on a transparent background). In iClone, I just parent that shadow as a plane to a vehicle and it works wonderfully. However, in Daz, when I apply it to a plane, when rendering I still see the contour as a light gray. Is there some setting I can change in the surfaces tab so that the contour becomes transparent? Or any other simple way to apply a shadow in either of those 2 render engines?</p>

I have tried copying the user &quot;user layouts&quot;&nbsp;that&#39;s in roaming/daz3d/...etc in the appdata but only the layout seems to have properly taken.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I have been loading my many models into Daz to make use of the features. One being the rendering screenshot using iRay.</p>

<p>For the vast majority of my models/textures are fine and I get excellent results, except for any that host PNG&#39;s with Alpha Channel, they all come out as solid. (see attached pictures), this makes it hard to use Glass or Masked textures. All my textures are PNG&#39;s (32bit) even those without Alpha, as I want the quality for rendering.</p>

<p>The first picture shows the texture in Daz3D, the second in my texture editor as a 32bit PNG. When I load this model into other engines like Unity, Unreal, Sansar etc, they honour the alpha channel.</p>

<p>I have been through all the many menus and settings but I cannot see any setting for Alpha. Clearly I am missing something specific in Daz3D, I would very much appreciate any signposting, or menu drilling route to the issue.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>HI everyone maybe the title is not very clear but i will explain. That make weeks i try to put a png image with some transparency over a shader but i never have the result i want to obtain.</p>

<p>What i try to do i that:</p>

<p>I make this png on gimp which fit with uvmap of the object i made ( the white part are transparente)</p>

<p>When im on daz i apply a gold shader ( in uber base mode)&nbsp;on a part of my mesh then in base color i put my png. And in view port i have something like this</p>

<p>This is basicly the result i want to have. The shader and on it all the inscription i made in my png.</p>

<p>The problem is that when i render i have something like that which not correspond to&nbsp; what i want.</p>

<p>If i render as ou see the gold shader disappear and i only have part of the png which appear.</p>

<p>I try various thing like use a translucency map in translucency weight the result was close but not totally what i wanted. I try the layer image editor , the cutout opacity but i cant have the result im looking for.</p>

<p>I mean the shader and the png over it. Hope i was clear enough.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I &quot;purchased&quot; the freebie Body Pillow (which is still free as of just now) and it lacks any morphs. No problem, I thought - I&#39;ll just export it to Blender and add a few morphs as I do with many other props and clothing. However, this one does not want to play nice. I&#39;ve checked all my export/import settings and they work for other objects but this one refuses to work with Morph Loader Pro. I just get a Geometry Changed error even though I have made sure that Keep Vertex Order is checked.</p>

<p>The geometry does look intense, however - millions of what look like squares but are so tightly packed, I&#39;m not sure. The prop itself has only Base resolution available so there&#39;s no HD or subdivision. A real pity because I could find lots of uses for this prop (and its non-holiday price will be $10).&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried in Hexagon and the bridge does work but I am not experienced with Hex and can&#39;t figure a way to work with smooth shading - as soon as I select the object with the Tweak Tool it is covered with a bright blue surface mesh which makes it impossible to see what I&#39;m working with or what effects the tool is having. Trying to select different shading (such as Smooth&nbsp;Solid) has no effect with the Tweak tool selected.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using the V4 Skin Batch Converter in DAZ Studio to convert the Poser pz2 files. This works fine, except for a few eyebrows, which are available in different colors as pz2-file, but it&#39;s not converted into duf. After the conversion attempt, the pz2 files are deleted and there are only the thumbnails in the folder. Also, the attempt to load the V4 in DAZ Studio and load each eyebrow (color by color) and save as a material preset (only eyebrows checked), unfortunately failed, because although the skin of the V4 is stored, but without eyebrow - and I only need the duf-files as eyebrow (without skin). Attached some&nbsp;few screens of my attempts, perhaps&nbsp;someone knows advice?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So... searched and couldn&#39;t find the answer to this kinda annoying issue.</p>

<p>Why, when I own the Pro bundle for characters, that the Starter bundle keeps showing up in listings (even though all content is owned).</p>

<p>Is there a way for Daz to link the Base model&nbsp;<em>and</em>&nbsp;the Starter bundle to the Pro bundle? Gets annoying at times.</p>

<p>I know.. little things.. but it&#39;s all about the detail really.</p>
