      <description><![CDATA[<p>My full screen IRAY render took 25 minutes to achieve 87 convergence.</p>

<p>My spot render which covers only the characters face, which is relatively small compared to the entire full screen, took 22 minutes to achieve 87 convergence.</p>

<p>The spot render only saved 3 minutes? I might as well just render the full screen.</p>

<p>Something is wrong.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>[iRay won&#39;t use GPU}]</span> That&#39;s pretty strange as iRay uses CPU, it starts, calculates and at the last moment starts rendering with CPU.</p>

<p>In settings CPU always unchecked, I use script to check VRAM consumption and it shows 2.9Gb (gpu has 4Gb).</p>

<p>Scene not something big or complicated, just a road, bridge, couple of trucks and HDRI light.</p>

<p>Here warnings from log file, not really understand what&#39;s going on</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there an esy way to add 20 poses to the main menu - other than creating a custom action for each of them and adding them that way?</p>

<p>Or, add a single pose (or any other asset) to the menu and have that open the folder it is mapped to? To get to the rest of those assets?</p>

<p>I would really like to quickly insert an asset via the main menu - without having to navigate my way to it from then content or smart library.<br />
Or at least have that asset in the menu open the mapped folder.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone, I wish you all good Christmas holidays! :D</p>

<p>I was buying some products for this last day of Christmas Sale: I selected what I wanted to buy, then I bought a Gift Card to use the 10% discount bonus, I redeemed it and I used it on my account.</p>

<p>Finally, I put all the products in the cart again, and I selected as payment method &quot;Store Credit&quot;, which has the exact number of the &quot;Grand Total&quot;.</p>

<p>When I click on it, both the Grand Total and the Store Credit go to 0, but a big alarm shows at the top of the page: &quot;The requested Payment Method is not available.&quot;</p>

<p>The same thing goes over and over if I restart my PC etc.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>A little segment of a top I&#39;m working on pulls out when the arm goes up. I started to remap the general weights, but I can&#39;t get rid of the problem. It looks like a couple of polys are linking to the upper (shoulder) part of the arm, but those maps are blank. The problem was there before I added anyting to the collar map, and I&#39;ve smoothed that selection many times to make sure the sticking out polys don&#39;t have extra weight compared to the adjacent ones.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any ideas about what might be causing this, and/or a solution?</p>

<p>The attached images show the geometry without the arm raised, then the maps for relevant sections.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I had DAZ Studio running, and recenty upgraded my hard drive and re-installed from the backup.&nbsp; &nbsp; I can&#39;t get the DAZ Smart Content to show up.&nbsp; I have uninstaled and reinstalled the entire app, as well as the PostgreSQL app from the DAZ Install Manager.&nbsp; With no luck.&nbsp; The log file shows it is connecting to the CMS system at some point, but it is not workin gin the DAZ Studio app.&nbsp; I am attaching the log file for those who might be able to use it to help.</p>

<p>I get very often black artefacts on the eys, skin or cloth of my figures.</p>

<p>This happens very often if the figure is outside of the ground grid. If I move the figure back into the ground grid the artefacts are normally gone.</p>

<p>But at the moment I render a interior scene which (which is in the ground grid) where I also expierence such black arterfacts on the the skin of the characters (See attachment).</p>

<p>The black freckels on the screenshot can be easily removed with Photoshop, but I currently render an other picture where the half of the forehead is black.</p>

<p>Any idea what couse this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, I&#39;m trying to get my scene to render smaller than what I had it set at the first time, and even though I told DAZ to use the Active Viewport Dimension Preset, it won&#39;t change, and still keeps rendering a huge size. I even tried manually changing it to other sizes... nope! Still won&#39;t listen! I even closed the scene, closed the program, re-saved the scene...</p>

<p>How does a program just decide to come up with a bug/problem that did not exist at any other time? This is quite frustrating.</p>

Now I want&nbsp;to install DAZ program on this E: drive and not worry about DAZ growing fat every day. What is the procedure to install DAZ on this new drive?</p>

<p>As a precaution, I backed up&nbsp;DAZ 3D and&nbsp;My DAZ 3D Library hoping I can paste that into place once DAZ is installed on the new drive.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am considering the purchase of Marvelous Designer, but I&#39;m confused on content creation. Once I make something - say a shirt, will the transfer utility be enough to make the item conforming? I&#39;ve been doing searches all day practically and I&#39;m not sure of the answer still.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I understand I may have to pull the obj into blender or hexagon to fix the quads MD produces. I&#39;m kinda stumped on what to do after I bring it in to Studio. In my mind it seems simple but something&nbsp;telling me it not that easy.</p>

<p>Now, if its not, where can I find the info I need to learn how to do this?&nbsp;</p>

<p>When testing with low quality renderings in a movie I noticed that the noise, Iray produces because of it&#39;s sampling, always stays in the same place. So it&#39;s not like static noise on an analogue TV screen that wizzles around but it looks like every picture is sampled with the same &quot;seed&quot; value. Why is it this way? I thought Iray takes light rays and randomly reflects them from surfaces until they hit a light source (or don&#39;t where the sample will return &quot;black&quot;) or did I understand something wrong here? And couldn&#39;t be image quality improved a little, when the seed of the random changes each iteration so one get&#39;s a greater variance in random samples (mean&#39;s one get&#39;s a greater chance to render a pixel with the correct light souce instead of missing it into dark infinity)?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I tried to use spot render tool to re-render small parts of my image with small fixes I make and I overlay these on top in photoshop (I changed the spot render to render to window in the tool settings). But I noticed that my render speed is the same whether I render the full image or just the small piece. Did anyone else ever have this problem? I used to do this sort of thing in 3DS Max all the time and it worked as expected. I&#39;m rendering in IRAY on a GTX980ti. The image is 3840x2160 resolution but the piece I try to spot render is much much smaller than that. Maybe 400x200 or so. I&#39;d really appreciate it if someone can help since this sort of functionality is very important to me.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This is the first time I had this &quot;Lost and Found&quot; show up in my Smart Content. It started after I had installed some content through DIM, particularly Victoria 7 stuff. The one thing I made sure I did before installing any other V7-dependent content was that I installed the Victoria 7 Starter Bundle(Victoria 7 first in particular) and then installed the rest. Its the FWSA Grace HD for Victoria 7 that appears in the Lost and Found, yet the actor is also found where it should be. Is there any explanation for this? There was also another item that appears there, but haven&#39;t seen it lately. The odd thing about it is that&nbsp;to the right of&nbsp;the &quot;Enter Text&quot; box on the top, the file count is 0 when Lost and Found is highlighted, which to me indicates that the file isn&#39;t &quot;lost&quot; yet it shows up in the Lost and Found. And yes, the actor loads as it should. Screenshot below.</p>

<strong>Settings:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;Nvidia render in my Aux Viewport (preview window)<br />

<strong>Problem:</strong> When I move around or try to change&nbsp;numbers using mouse to slide or any thing that involves mouse the Render kicks in and make the program totally useless!<br />

<strong>Solution:</strong> Please Santa! Make the render only start after idle of 5 secounds, then atleast I have time to move around and set numbers correct without been interrupted all the time!<br />
<br />
Now Iam forced to use other render settings in the preview windows and change back and forth all the time and this is soo frustrating when I need to see color change&nbsp;of textures or light settings!<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everybody, I am trying to find a solution that works to export a G8 animated character (poses and morphs) into C4DR19. I already tried to export in different formats like fbx and collada without success. Exporting a g8 without animation is pretty&nbsp;easy and everything is working perfectly. The problem is when the characters are animated. It happen also with G3 characters. Once in C4D the characters are completely deformed and some parts are out of the skeleton The face morphs are deforming completely the shape. I can see that all the morphs and pose are imported but it&#39;s like they are completely freaking out the character and there is no way to fix it. I have been following many threads and tutorial but I am still stock. I was thinking about buying the Alembic exporter from Daz but if I have to be honest I am pretty scared. I already bought a lot of stuff on Daz but the assistance on exporting process is not guaranteed. Plus I can&#39;t really find anything that proves that the Alembic exporter workflow is working perfectly on morph and poses. It would be very helpful to have a tip from the developers too on this issue. I think Daz is a powerful tool but if we are not able to switch between softwares it&#39;s just a loss of money and time for people like me that have this kind of workflow. If someone has experienced this issue or could give some tips to this issue would be very nice.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m having trouble organizing HDRIS. It seems that they are stored in far too many locations, and I&#39;m having trouble keeping track of where they are. Some are in: Render Settings, Enviroments, Light Presets, and Lights, as Well as Scene.</p>

<p>Ideally I want to organize My HDRIs in a folder with their own Subfolder. I&#39;d like to remove vanity folders, store links, and have them stored by product name.</p>

<p>Has anyone had luck with this? I confess I&#39;m losing track of them.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am not going to get&nbsp;it, but out of curiosity I had a look and aftergoing through al the promo images for <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/hot-work-costume-set-for-genesis-8-femaless">Hot Work Costume</a>, then the product description, and back ot the promo images I decided I was confused.&nbsp; I think every figure showed in the promos as wearing some form of hosiery but there is no such item listed.&nbsp; And yet, there ARE 3 stocking matrials listed.&nbsp; So, are they ani tem, a L.I.E., or what?</p>

<p>I have imported an animation from mixamo.com.</p>

<p>When I watch the DAZ timeline, I can see that it&#39;s set to 30 fps.</p>

<p>Since I downloaded the mixamo animation at 60 fps, I change &quot;FPS&quot; to 60 in the timeline in DAZ.</p>

<p>This works fine, the animation looks as I expected.</p>

<p>Now I want to export the animation out of DAZ as an FBX.</p>

<p>It works fine, but it exports it as 30 fps, not as 60 fps.</p>

<p>I don&#39;t see any other options in the FBX export dialog to set a frame rate there.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>How could I export the animation at 60 fps?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone, first of all sorry if my english isn&#39;t perfect, it isn&#39;t my main&nbsp;language.</p>

<p>Here is the problem:</p>

<p>I&#39;m new with the program, and everything was perfect auntil I activated &quot;something&quot; that made everything too bright.<img alt="" src="https://imgur.com/a/kjp5IIE" /></p>

<p>On the upper right corner you can see a preview on Iray, I just added a 1000 lumen spotlight.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sorry to bother you guys, but I really dont know what to do D:</p>

<p>I have Auto Headlamp option set in Never.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>How do I go about fitting a texture (jpg) to a prop?</strong></p>

<p>I am trying to make a simple asphalt roadway. I have a nice texture with the center lines etc and I made a simple board shaped prop with slightly rounded corners to simulate the shape of a road.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve applied the texture played with tiling etc. but zero luck getting anything like the image to appear as a texture on my &quot;road&quot;.&nbsp; Playing with displacement and specular etc. vary the apparant color of the prop but nothing seems to work to get the texture to appear in view port not to mention getting it to line up with the prop.</p>

<p>I need to learn to do this as I often make props I cannot find and have the same problem fitting a texture image (.jpg) onto a prop.</p>

<p>Mostly make the actual shapes either in DS / Primitives or Hexagon.&nbsp; Simple things like a wood texture work pretty well but then I don&#39;t typically need to &quot;line up&quot; the shape with the prop.</p>

<p>In this case I need the asphalt with the painted centerlines to run down the middle so it looks like a road?</p>

<p>Often orientation is an issue as well, what is &quot;up&quot; or &quot;down&quot; when saving a texture in relation to the prop?</p>

<p>Any help appreciated.</p>
