<p>I am trying for several days to get my head around this.</p>

<p>My figure is positioned on frame 0.BDSM with props, so positioning is important. Many rotations&nbsp;going&nbsp;on, also bending with limits turned off. The figure pivot point is 2 meters diagonal bottom right. Also the figure is at least 1 meter off from World 0()xyz</p>

<p>Strange things occur&nbsp;with animate2 now.</p>

<p>No animation.No keyframes.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Case1:</p>

<p>I simply add a new aniblock&nbsp;for my figure, and the position gets skewed towards the pivot point. roughly 10cms off now.Also&nbsp;slighty&nbsp;wrong angle.</p>

<p>I delete the still empty aniblock&nbsp;now. But positions still is shifted the 10cm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Case 2:</p>

<p>I tried simple&nbsp;breathing animation only in Studio.4 simple keyframes for bending of waist/chest.Nothing more.Works.</p>

<p>I create animateblock&nbsp;from studio keys. Same result. Skewed&nbsp;towards the pivot point of figure. Animation still intact. I enter keyframemode&nbsp;in animate2 and restore figure position(or amply saved pos/preset) on frame 0.The position&nbsp;is ok again. (I tried both: clicking&nbsp;+key and not)</p>

<p>As soon as I go to next frame position is off again.Animation intact. No Matter what I try...off position stays. even going back to frame 0. Always loosing my position.</p>

<p>I have tried every combination. direct Copy/Transform to object POV...selecting morps/scale....selecting all bones in studio on frame 0, creating keyframes on key 0, or only creating the 4 keyframes for chest bend, and insert position keyframes in animate for all bones. asme&nbsp;result. Trying for several days. Even started fresh. Same strange behavior.</p>

<p>I read that figure scaling could cause that. very much looks that way for me. BUT my figure is always at 100% scale.</p>

<p>I think I found the error now.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>IF I RESET MY FIGURESHAPE, I GET THE SAME </strong><strong>SKEWING</strong><strong> RESULT.It has to be the cause.</strong></p>

<p>This has to be the cause.</p>

<p>Any Solution? Reposition is not an option, cause when I will add more animations and bake to animate2 it will cause more errors.</p>

<p>Also sidequestion: When creating aniblock&nbsp;from studio&nbsp;what is the difference (direct Copy/Transform to object POV)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Hi to everyone,</strong><br />
<strong>I am working in Daz3d</strong> to recreate the customised costume as seen in<strong> (Pic 2.)</strong><br />
<em>(Pic 1 shows the Xurge3D &#39;V4 Barbarian&#39; in its original form as purchased.)</em><br />
&nbsp;<br />
I have, through much reading/learning here &amp; elsewhere, managed to create the custom chest armour using a Trans Map. <strong>(Pic 3.)</strong></p>

<p><strong>Please could someone explain how I can keep the original patterning, But change the colour/metal material as in pic2.</strong></p>

<p>I&#39;m stumped and would be happy to buy a metal shader product, if it could do the job as good as in the pic.<br />
There is also the question of how to handle Bump/Displacement to get the more heavily sculpted look.<br />
I hope some people can help me out as I&#39;ve hit the wall.<br />
I&#39;ve included an image of the two maps that come with the Xurge3D product.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>All programs installed and functional as normal. Everything works as it should, I sent the file out to zbrush made my adjustments then goz&#39;d it back to Daz. I fill in the morph name and leave the path defualt as ZBrush. The morph shows in the list and works fine but I can&#39;t find the actual ZBrush folder or the morph file. I&#39;ve been digging around here looking for answers.</p>

<p>I was wondering: how does the scene navigation work for you?</p>

<p>To me, it always stutters, especially if I&#39;m moving something around or posing a character!</p>

<p>I&#39;ve kinda solved it switching to &quot;smooth shaded&quot; and to &quot;wire bounding box&quot; while I&#39;m manipulating something, but it&#39;s not the best experience, since you can&#39;t precisely tell where something is while you&#39;re doing that, and you just only have a vague idea of what&#39;s going on until you stop.</p>

<p>Iray preview is the most demanding, slowing down my entire PC and not just Daz, but &quot;Texture Shaded&quot; stutters more too.</p>

<p>So, <strong>what parts of my hardware are causing this?</strong></p>

<p>In the &quot;resource utilization&quot; window there usually isn&#39;t anything too stressed out, but I don&#39;t know how to check the single core usage instead of the total CPU usage.</p>

<p>I have everything on a faster-than-light 970 Evo SSD (and it&#39;s much better since I&#39;ve made this switch), then I have 2x4Gb 2800Mhz RAM (upgrading to 16Gb this very afternoon) and a Ryzen 5 1600, with 6 cores and 12 threads...it doesn&#39;t seem a bad system to me, but why does it always stutter in texture shaded without wire bounding box during the manipulation?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Genesis 2 characters, eye white&nbsp;disappears when rendering with IRAY. I&#39;ve gone through surfaces and everything for the eye has opacity at 100% except for eye reflection which is at 0. If I increase eye reflection then the iris and pupil are covered and the zero setting is default anyway.The third picture shows the eyes with all skin opacity at 0. Not having this problem with Genesis but it is also happening with Genesis 3 and Genesis 8.I can load a new scene and the eyes show up fine but if I load any pose that was saved in the previous scene, the eyes disappear. Once they are gone, I can&#39;t get them back even by resetting the pose, deleting and reloading the character or even loading a completely new character. I know the &#39;easy&#39; fix is to just start over with this scene however I would like to figure out what is causing this because I don&#39;t want it to happen again. I have put a lot of time setting this scene up for animation by crating, loading and aligning a lot of aniblocks so starting over will waste all of that time, especially if it happens again in the future.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m relatively new to Daz, and I get the basic idea of shaping and posing. Anyways I purchased <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/nam-terror-set-for-genesis-8-female">Nam</a>, and it comes with a variety of expressions. I&#39;m trying to find where they are.&nbsp; I thought they would be under Posing, but if I search for &quot;Cute&quot; as an example (its listed on the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/nam-terror-set-for-genesis-8-female">Nam</a> webpage), I can&#39;t find it. Am I looking in the correct spot? Is there a better way to isolate the expressions for only that particular character, or if you have multiple characters all of then will have to be listed?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been using darkhound1&#39;s legacy to G3F morph converter,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.deviantart.com/darkhound1/art/Legacy-to-Gen3-morph-converter-1-1-buy-it-here-589021408" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.deviantart.com/darkhound1/art/Legacy-to-Gen3-morph-converter-1-1-buy-it-here-589021408</a> , basically it lets you transfer your V4 shaping morphs to G3F. Never had any issues. Now this one suddenly came, the figure converted perfectly but after I closed and reopend DAZ, the legs now have&nbsp;a very weird shape. Like attached. I blacked out the privates. Anyone know what&#39;s going on and how to fix this?</p>

<p><em><strong>EDIT: I think this might be caused by a clothing I autofitted using Wear Em All, it was for G2F fitted to this G3F model. I tried recreating the character step by step and closing and reopening DAZ in each step. The problem started after I fitted the clothing. What do I do to correct this?</strong></em></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>What is the surface that is outermost of the eye surfaces on Genesis 8? I would think it was the Cornea, but there must be another surface on top of the Cornea. I have turned off Eye Moisture; so that&#39;s not it.</p>

<p>You see, I&#39;m using an HDR that has enough white in it to cause the eyes to render cloudy/milky, but everything else in the scene looks so good, I&#39;d rather not switch the HDR if I can find a workaround for the eyes. The Cornea renders clear---I think---because when I increase Cornea Bulge enough, half (or so) of the eye renders clear, and when I decrease Cornea Bulge to nil, then the whole eye goes back to cloudy.</p>

<p>Is there a diagram somewhere?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I had a 1080 I still do but I wanted a 2080 for a few reasons So I got a Palit Geforce RTX 2080 Super Jetstream 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card<br />

Not just for Rendering but also for gaming when not doing renders but I am somewhat perplexed that the 2080 is slower.. in rendering times 2 - 3&nbsp;minute difference in some cases!<br />
<br />
Is it just a teething problem or is there something else missing? It&#39;s not the end of the world really (A few extra minutes is hardly problematic considering freind&#39;s of mine have to wait 30 minutes or more to see some of there scenes!)&nbsp;&nbsp;I am just somewhat curious if the times will decrease over time anyway due to drivers and updates etc</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>The other night, I happened across a utility for a product that I&#39;ve had for awhile, that I knew had to exist but couldn&#39;t find.&nbsp; Anyway, it&#39;s for &quot;The Streets of The Wild West&quot; to turn visibility on for instances; a .dsa file so assuming a script. It does what it says anyway.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried exporting the entire scene out as FBX and OBJ, but in each case no instanced geometry gets created, just the primary shapes.&nbsp; Bringing files into Lightwave.&nbsp; Looked at results with PolyTrans too and nothing there either.</p>

<p>Is there some prep step I need to do prior, like baking them or such?</p>

<p>I use <em>content library -&gt; cathegories</em> to keep my items organised.</p>

<p>Strangely some references, such as the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://by Pusey Designs - https://www.wilmapsdigitalcreations.co.uk/view_product.php?id=437">Wilmap&#39;s bodysuit for G2M </a>are displayed twice. See attached screenshot.</p>

<p>One reference is labeled &quot;wardrobe&quot;, the other has no label. Both reference point to the same file, and both work. If I delete either of the two references, both disappear. If I make a new reference of that product, it automatically makes two.</p>

<p>This is the case with a few products (thankfully not that many). I don&#39;t see any logic in what products are affected.</p>

<p>This is irritating, since it&#39;s cluttering up my cathegories, and the whole point of the cathegories is to keep things organised...</p>

<p>Does anybody know how to solve this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>First off, I am not a seasoned user and has only recently &quot;broken the code&quot; when it comes to using Daz3D Studio (but is still very much a beginner).</p>

<p>I have tried to look around for an answer to my problem but hasn&#39;t found anything that helped me.</p>

<p><strong>My problem</strong></p>

<p>I have been working lately with primary G8F and G8M and it has worked well. I then decided I wanted to make a picture with all my non-human figures (centaur, orc, etc.) so I could use that picture to quickly see what I have. Nothing fancy, just the figures lined up, with random poses.</p>

<p>I then doscovered that quite a few of my figures didn&#39;t load with the textures (or MATs?) (they appear as grey figures). The earlier the figure the more likely they seem to have problems (ie. some G2 and G figures consistently appear in grey whereas G3 and G8 seem to work just fine).</p>

<p>I noticed a few other things along the way. One of the more odd is when I load Robbus Madgloom (a G3M figure) everything runs very slow in Daz, even simple scenes (things such as selecting buttons and figures or moving your perspective view). The moment I delete him from the scene Daz responds normally again. I do not know if this is related to my main problem or indicative of other problems.</p>

<p><strong>My attempts at solving it</strong></p>

<p>Step 1</p>

<p>First I removed all my content from the harddrive and removed the data in C:\Users\Public\Documents\DAZ 3D\InstallManager.<br />
Then I loaded DIM and it quickly noticed all my content was no longer on the harddrive and offered it for download and installation.<br />
So I downloaded all contents and installed it (making sure the paths in DIM and Daz were identical - but there might be something I have to be aware of that I am not).<br />
This didn&#39;t solve the problem.</p>

<p>Step 2</p>

<p>I then reset the database and asked Daz to reload all metadata again.<br />
This seems to maybe have solved the problem for some figures, but for all.</p>

<p>Step 3</p>

<p>I have tried to uninstall and re-install the packages mentioned in this help: <a href="https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207531383-Figures-load-as-grey-blocks-and-I-get-missing-files-error-" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207531383-Figures-load-as-grey-blocks-and-I-get-missing-files-error-</a></p>

<p>Not done</p>

<p>I haven&#39;t done a complete un-install and re-install of Daz - I would like to avoid that and to actually understand why I have the problem in the first place.</p>

<p>I like it, there&#39;s one thing I don&#39;t seem to know however.</p>

<p>For example, I want to apply the&nbsp;nose graft, but I want the nose to still be visible underneath. I want to use opacity to make the graft see-through so that one can see the nose. Kind of like a transparent nose-bandage.</p>

<p>Unfortunately the graft removes the nose, and I&#39;m not sure how to keep both. The only way I&#39;ve seen of restoring the nose is by deleting the graft.</p>

<p>Is there another way? Thank you!</p>

<p>I apologize if this is has already been covered, but I couldn&#39;t find it with a search. I have a Genesis character that I have applied morphs to, but when I send the character to animate2, it removes the morphs when it starts doing its animation. I apologize if this is a dumb question. I am pretty new to this.&nbsp; Thanks.</p>

<p>EDIT: I figured out that I could use Keymate to delete the extra value keyframes that Animate added to the character.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve just bought this product: <a href="https://www.daz3d.com/clothing-converter-from-genesis-3-male-to-genesis-8-male" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/clothing-converter-from-genesis-3-male-to-genesis-8-male</a></p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried installing it like any other product (I&#39;ve tried both Daz Connect and DIM), but when I click on any of its files it gives me mistakes. (I&#39;ve already used the G3F to G8F and G2F to G8F versions made by them, as the G3F to G8F hair converter, so I don&#39;t think I&#39;ve made any &quot;noob&quot; mistake)</p>

<p>I can&#39;t see the thumbnails either, I&#39;ve tried to update the metadata but nothing.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I recently purchased the Ethnicity for Genesis bundle&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/ethnicity-for-genesis-bundle">https://www.daz3d.com/ethnicity-for-genesis-bundle</a>&nbsp;and installed it using the DIM (see attachments). However when opening DS and adding a Genesis 2 Male, the morphs do not appear in the shaping tab (I tried all the other Genesis characters too). I then tried installing the files manually through the My Daz Studio Library folder (see attachments), without any success.&nbsp;<span>I have also tried going to &quot;Content Database Maintenance&quot; and &quot;Re-Import Metadata&quot;, however the product does not appear on that list (see attachments).</span></p>

<p><span><span>This is the first time I have had to post on forums for anything like this, it would be great if I could get some help.&nbsp;</span></span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Well okay, so I have a new dektop computer, which I bought for the purpose of handling heavier stuff like 3D renders and certain games. So the thing is, this computer has two separate hard-drives, named C: and F: respectively. C: is the smaller one, only a little over 100 GB, while F: is 1000 GB. Of course I want to install DAZ Studio on F, but the automatic installation goes to C, because that&#39;s where all the folders and stuff is at. F is empty. So long story short, how do I get DS to install on the F disc? Do I just copy the folder directory from C?&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to use this hair with a genesis 8 female, and I cannot get the hair to lay flat (over the shoulders) like in the promo pictures. I&#39;ll admit I&#39;m somewhat of a newbie, but&nbsp;I&#39;ve found nothing in the parameters page for getting the hair to lay flat.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve had lots of luck with a few other &quot;hair&quot; but can&#39;t figure out where I&#39;m going wrong. I&#39;m trying to create hair similar to a lady in the &quot;Versailles&quot; NetFlix Series season 1 episode 1.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a problem with spotlights appearing as white disks in a mirror reflection in a render.</p>

<p>There are four control options for visibility of spotlights in DS: (latest 4.11)</p>

<p>1) Visible<br />
The ON option has the light on and visible in the Viewport and the render.<br />
The OFF option hides the spotlight in the Viewport and the render AND switches the light off.</p>

<p>2) Visible in Viewport<br />
The ON option has the light on and visible in the Viewport and the render.<br />
The OFF option hides the spotlight in the Viewport only. The light is on AND visible in the render.</p>

<p>3) Visible in Render<br />
The ON option has the light on and visible in the Viewport and the render.<br />
The OFF option hides the spotlight in the Viewport and the render AND switches the light off.</p>

<p>4) Visible in Simulation<br />
Presumably controls visibility during a Simulation. As I am not running a Simulation this control is not relevant.</p>

<p>So, What is the difference between option 1 and 3? None, as far as I can see.<br />
I had expected the Visible in Render OFF option to have the light ON but not visible as an object in the render, but that is not what happens.</p>

<p>There is also an Illumination ON/OFF control which does exactly the same as 1 and 3. Why are there three controls that do the same thing?</p>

<p>Does anyone know how I can have a spotlight ON but not visible as an object in the render?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So i have no idea how this happened but when i load up G8 (as a default g8 or load a comercial charcter) two characters (christian and james) are already applied.</p>

<p>these morphs are default 0% so i don&#39;t know why they are getting applied to my G8 base now.</p>

<p>how can i correct this (without setting these back to zero every time i load G8M.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I need help! I&#39;ve searched and searched but I&quot;m not able to find much on how to use fibermesh brows as a vendor. This closest I came was this:&nbsp;<span>You may export your morphed brows as an obj and use the transfer utility to create wearable brows for your characters. </span>&nbsp;I got this from RedStudio&#39;s post about their product. But when I do this, I get an object file rather than an attachment. When I look at what other vendors do for brows, the brows are an attachment. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Not to wax redundant, but when you buy a product, it sure would be nice to have a quick &#39;here&#39;s how you use my product&#39; instruction so I don&#39;t have to waste hours trying to figure it out.&nbsp; Can anyone provide some quick steps on how to use fibermesh brows that are sold at DAZ?&nbsp; (Note: there are great tutorials via YouTube on so many things but nothing, I repeat, nothing is available in the forums at DAZ or Renderosity or via online searches for what should be a simple issue.)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve returned Haven Park for a refund,, but Tire and Swing is doing the same thing, and it was free.</p>

<p>Both work fine in 4.10, which I don&#39;t use because it has too many issues.<br />
They lock 4.9.2.70 up when I try to render.<br />
I get the checkerboard screen, nothing else.<br />
Memory usage climbs until it gets kicked off my 980Ti, then system memory climbs until it hits the full 64 gigs, goes into swap mode, and I get the &quot;Studio has failed&quot; message.<br />
Can anyone help me figure this out?</p>

<p>So far this has happened with Toon Forest, Haven Park, and Tire and Swing.<br />
The scripts in Scene Optimizer and Crowd Billboards don&#39;t work in 4.9, either.<br />
Am I just going to have to quit buying new products?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does anyone know why almost all of the models I use (mostly Gen 8) get severely deformed when I use preset poses for the Gen 8 models?</p>

<p>The distortion is generally around the torso and groin.&nbsp; Im not using any weird anatomy addons, nothing out of the ordinary.&nbsp; &nbsp; And it does not matter if they have clothing on or not. The distortion will effect the clothing in those areas too.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Yesterday I purchased this (<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/100-must-have-expressions-volume-2-for-genesis-8-females" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/100-must-have-expressions-volume-2-for-genesis-8-females</a>) awesome collection of expressions for genesis 8 females.</p>

<p>I&#39;m using this (<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/ktarya-bundle-for-genesis-3-and-genesis-8-female-s" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/ktarya-bundle-for-genesis-3-and-genesis-8-female-s</a>) genesis 8 based Ktarya character. When I try to export an FBX of the character with all of the new expression morphs from the pack above, the character mesh reverts to the base genesis 8 female and loses all of her &quot;Ktarya-ness&quot;.</p>

<p>When working in Daz, the expressions work on Ktarya no problem, so I&#39;m confused as to why the export reverts the character mesh. Is there any way to get this to work? I&#39;m extra confused becase I tested this process with the free expressions (Shock HD, Smile Full Face HD, etc.) first, and everything worked: FBX export with Ktarya mesh and morph targets for the expressions.</p>

<p>Is there any way to get this working? If it won&#39;t work for the expression set I linked above, will it work if I use this (<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-expressions" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-expressions</a>) &quot;offical&quot; daz originals expression set instead?</p>
