      <description><![CDATA[<p>On toony heads like Toon Generations 2, a lot of hair doesn&#39;t autofit great because it assumes models have much smaller heads, meaning the hair underneath the chin will always be &quot;pulled in&quot; underneath the chin. It&#39;s a cute look, sure! But not always what you&#39;re looking for. Is there a way to change how the hair fits to the body? Specifically, might there be a weigh to fix it using the node weigh map brush? (I&#39;m finally becoming comfortable with this tool, so it&#39;d be great if it&#39;d be possible to use it for this!) I tried adjusting the &quot;general&quot; weight maps but nothing related to the fit happened, though.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi. I&#39;m learning to use Daz Studio 4.10. A few days ago I bought the Genesis 2 Alive! animation who comes with many animates. But today I open Daz and there are only two animates in Smart Content. If I search From Z to A appear two more. If I write Breathe, or Breathing, it appears only Breathe 2. I change figures, I select them, even reinstalled Genesis 2 Alive, but almost all animates gone. I search everyplace but I can&#39;t find them. Somebody knows how to solve this problem? I read sometimes it happens.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I made an animation sequence using the Phantom II object where the flying skull flys in a circle. I used KeyMate and Graphmate to tweak the tension, control and bias.</p>

<p>Now, when I try to &quot;Convert Studio Keys to New Aniblock&quot; the resulting aniblock erases all the keyframes. I cannot seem to find any way to properly convert my simple animation to an Aniblock. Is there something major I&#39;m missing here?</p>

<p>It seems if I make the animation within a empty Aniblock, Animate2 acts normally. I really like the motion I made in Graph/Keymate is there some weird incompatibility between these plugins?</p>

<p>This has driven me crazy for like, 3 days already.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay - I&#39;m hoping someone here can assist me with a bit of an issue.</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to create a prop made from multiple OBJ Imports to Daz.&nbsp; I&#39;m wanting to have movement and rotations of these parts managed from a root Null Object I&#39;ve created and parented all the imports to.&nbsp; Right now, I&#39;ve got things working, but I&#39;m hoping&nbsp;to simplify the setup with&nbsp;all control sliders in one place.</p>

<p>Also, when I try to create a Materials Preset for these multiple objects, it will only write the materials for the last object selected - not for the whole batch.&nbsp; Is there something I&#39;m missing here, or am I going to have to setup presetes for each one?</p>

<p>I&#39;d appreciate any&nbsp;help that can be offered.</p>

<p>Any thoughts on whether this will be a suitable build? I&#39;m particularly curious about the inclusion of the Titan RTX. I know from reading in other threads that the current iteration of Iray may or may not support the Tensor cores and the Ray-Tracing cores on the Titan; it&#39;s fine by me if it just uses the CUDA cores. There&#39;s over 4600 of them on the Titan RTX, after all. And if I render with the CPU + GPU, i should ger a performance boost, right? Am I also right in thinking that the 2950X will provide me with less memory latency than the 2990WX? I know the WX has 32 cores, and 32 cores is better than 16 cores, but I&#39;m concerned about memory latency in reading from main memory, as well as the # of PCI-E lanes,&nbsp;and I&#39;m also concerned about, of course, the price differential, and whether I&#39;m going to see much of a performance curve given that the WX has a much lower idle clock than the X. Anyhow, just wanted everyone&#39;s thoughts on this.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>In a systematic way, my characters (whether&nbsp; G3 or M7) don&#39;t retain their eyes position when I use &#39;Point At&#39; function, save the file, then re-open it.</p>

<p>After re-opening the scenes, I have to move the head a little (or the object the eyes are pointing at), then the eyes snap in their correct position (I undo the head move right after).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Very annoying because batch is not possible.</p>

Frosted glass shader is spot on, and adding a texmap with the lettering I want to the glass&#39; colour channel seems to almost get the effect I want, but I can&#39;t seem to get the lettering centered.&nbsp; See images below.       <description><![CDATA[<p>So I am animating in 4.10 Pro, and am stuck at a point for what I want to do. I want to have something changing colors within the animation. Specifically in this case, I want to have someone&#39;s eyes visibly shift from green to red, as part of a vampire thing. But I don&#39;t want it to be instant, I want to be able to have it progress visibly over the course of many frames. The best visual example I can give is this:</p>

<p>Similarly, I&#39;d like to know how to do hair, skin, etc all the same, but I guess the process would be all the same either way.       <description><![CDATA[<p>Yesterday morning (1/19/2019) I updated to Windows 10 update 1809. I ran into a few issues with my local network, but Daz seemed to be working. I rendered an image with Centaur 7 around 7 pm in the evening, and everything looked fine. This morning I was setting up another render with the centaur. At first everything looked okay, but while I was working the human lower body (legs and hips) suddenly started showing up through the centaur body. After some cheching, I determined that the same thing is happening with other anatomical elements as well (horns, genitalia); if parts of the body are supposed to become invisible to when they are applied, they are not becoming invisible.</p>

<p>I tried rolling back the Windows update, but that did no good. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Daz3d. Also no joy. Does anyone have any suggestions?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey there fine DAZ folks, I&rsquo;m a professional comic artist with 20 years experience. My website is currently down while I rebuild a new multimedia website which will debut in February. One of the new features will be free resources, such as tutorial videos. Since DAZ is one of the programs use to make comics, I&rsquo;d like to do a couple tutorial or advice videos featuring the software. I&rsquo;d like to do a video about creating your own assets and textures, but I myself am not even sure of the proper file path&nbsp;to use. I thought I&rsquo;d figure it out by installing third party assets from free sites, but it seems like 50% of those I&rsquo;ve downloaded don&rsquo;t work because those people don&rsquo;t know the proper file directories either. I know data and runtime etc should be in the&nbsp;content folder, but not sure if things like readme, people, wardrobe etc should be in the same directory or in runtime etc.</p>

<p>I&rsquo;d appreciate any help or pointers anyone can give me, and I&rsquo;m happy to give you a thanks in a video or social media for your help etc.&nbsp;</p>

<p>What are the best file paths and directories to use?</p>

<p>Is there a file tree graphic or something similar somewhere? If not I&rsquo;d be happy to create one and make it available for free for others to use,&nbsp;once I know that I have the correct file structure.</p>

<p>Any info you can offer would be great and thanks in advance.&nbsp;</p>

I am trying to organize my pose collection into categories.<br />
I created a temp category &quot;G8F Poses&quot; and put all my G8F poses in there. Now I can go to the Smart Content pane, select all &quot;standing&quot; poses and assign them to a new category &quot;G8F Standing&quot;.<br />
But how can I delete those poses from the temp category, so that I have only the non-standing poses left? That would make it a lot easier to go through the temp category and find the &quot;sitting&quot; poses etc.<br />
Categorize those, delete from the temp category and move on.</p>

<p>It looks like the references in a custom category can only be deleted from the Content Library. I was able to add a tag to all &quot;standing&quot; poses I had selected by using the DB Editor.<br />
But when I try to filter the temp category that still has all poses in the Content Library using this tag, it doesn&#39;t work. I put &quot;selectedposes&quot; in the Content Library search field and get all those poses in Search Results, but I only want to delete the references from within my temp category as a means to organize them.</p>

<p>Did I confuse everyone, or can you guys follow what I&#39;m trying to do?</p>

<p>Smart Content allows me to look at all G8F pose thumbnails at once in order to classify different poses, but it doesn&#39;t allow me to delete any classified references from that category.<br />
Content Library on the other hand let&#39;s me manually delete those references, but it doesn&#39;t seem to let me filter and delete poses from a specific category that have been classified already.</p>

<p>Any idea on how to get this to work? Or another super simple way to organize an extensive pose collection? :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there.</p>

<p>This one is really odd. All seems fine until moving the slider, to close the&nbsp;eyes, and the eyelids are gone. Figure is closing eyelashes, but it seems that the lids are totally missing. You see the upper part of the eyelids&nbsp;deform, when I close eyes, except the lids are gone. I checked visibility, all is switched on. Also I had done NOTHING to the eyes/head until now.</p>

<p>This is a animation project, and I was able to import the figure from a previous&nbsp;save, where eyelids are working,...copy pose, swap animation,...and so on. So all is working now.</p>

<p>But I really would like to know the cause.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello all,</p>

<p>I just upgraded to a new laptop and have run into several issues with this installation of DS 4.10.&nbsp; I&#39;m sure there&#39;s something I&#39;m overlooking but haven&#39;t yet been able to find it.</p>

<p>The biggest problem is that now, when I export something as an OBJ file, it wants to export everything in the scene even though I have:</p>

<p>&nbsp; 1) unparented the item, and</p>

<p>&nbsp; 2) hidden all other items but the item I am exporting by clicking the visibility icon.</p>

<p>This worked on my old laptop with the same version (4.10 pro) of DS.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Another issue which is a little annoying, but when I render a scene with &quot;Draw Ground&quot; turned on, I used to be able to select the ground color under &quot;Environment&quot; in the &quot;Render Settings&quot; tab.&nbsp; Now I see no option for that.</p>

<p>Any hints here would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>I am using the latest beta</p>

<p>a while back possibly years it stopped saving my framerate preference loading 30 FPS everytime</p>

<p>there is also the 217 length on any saved animation longer than that</p>

<p>and now a new thing</p>

<p>the aspect frame has stopped showing in the viewport by default</p>

<p>not a big issue but annoying if I do a quick render and forget to look what settings I had for image size and dimensions, it still at least saves the last used for that</p>

<p>I am trying for several days to get my head around this.</p>

<p>My figure is positioned on frame 0.BDSM with props, so positioning is important. Many rotations&nbsp;going&nbsp;on, also bending with limits turned off. The figure pivot point is 2 meters diagonal bottom right. Also the figure is at least 1 meter off from World 0()xyz</p>

<p>Strange things occur&nbsp;with animate2 now.</p>

<p>No animation.No keyframes.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Case1:</p>

<p>I simply add a new aniblock&nbsp;for my figure, and the position gets skewed towards the pivot point. roughly 10cms off now.Also&nbsp;slighty&nbsp;wrong angle.</p>

<p>I delete the still empty aniblock&nbsp;now. But positions still is shifted the 10cm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Case 2:</p>

<p>I tried simple&nbsp;breathing animation only in Studio.4 simple keyframes for bending of waist/chest.Nothing more.Works.</p>

<p>I create animateblock&nbsp;from studio keys. Same result. Skewed&nbsp;towards the pivot point of figure. Animation still intact. I enter keyframemode&nbsp;in animate2 and restore figure position(or amply saved pos/preset) on frame 0.The position&nbsp;is ok again. (I tried both: clicking&nbsp;+key and not)</p>

<p>As soon as I go to next frame position is off again.Animation intact. No Matter what I try...off position stays. even going back to frame 0. Always loosing my position.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have tried every combination. direct Copy/Transform to object POV...selecting morps/scale....selecting all bones in studio on frame 0, creating keyframes on key 0, or only creating the 4 keyframes for chest bend, and insert position keyframes in animate for all bones. asme&nbsp;result. Trying for several days. Even started fresh. Same strange behavior.</p>

<p>I read that figure scaling could cause that. very much looks that way for me. BUT my figure is always at 100% scale.</p>

<p>I think I found the error now.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>IF I RESET MY FIGURESHAPE, I GET THE SAME </strong><strong>SKEWING</strong><strong> RESULT.It has to be the cause.</strong></p>

<p>This has to be the cause.</p>

<p>Any Solution? Reposition is not an option, cause when I will add more animations and bake to animate2 it will cause more errors.</p>

<p>Also sidequestion: When creating aniblock&nbsp;from studio&nbsp;what is the difference (direct Copy/Transform to object POV)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Hi to everyone,</strong><br />
<strong>I am working in Daz3d</strong> to recreate the customised costume as seen in<strong> (Pic 2.)</strong><br />
<em>(Pic 1 shows the Xurge3D &#39;V4 Barbarian&#39; in its original form as purchased.)</em><br />
&nbsp;<br />
I have, through much reading/learning here &amp; elsewhere, managed to create the custom chest armour using a Trans Map. <strong>(Pic 3.)</strong></p>

<p><strong>Please could someone explain how I can keep the original patterning, But change the colour/metal material as in pic2.</strong></p>

<p>I&#39;m stumped and would be happy to buy a metal shader product, if it could do the job as good as in the pic.<br />
There is also the question of how to handle Bump/Displacement to get the more heavily sculpted look.<br />
I hope some people can help me out as I&#39;ve hit the wall.<br />
I&#39;ve included an image of the two maps that come with the Xurge3D product.<br />
