      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m messing around with Hexa and sending things over to Daz. Like that bolt and the wood panel.</p>

<p>Is it wise to make holes in one object for the other? It probably won&#39;t have 100% fit and there will be a gap left. (see picture) Moreover, because how Daz does the rendering there will be a ring around the bolt even without the hole in the wood.&nbsp;</p>

<p>So if I do it less realistic I will get better outcome?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Products in the store which can be used in DForce simulations are labeled &quot;DForce Compliant&quot;.&nbsp; And yet, according to DAZ, &quot;any&quot; object in a scene can &quot;participate&quot; in a simulation.&nbsp; So, by that metric, it would seem that anything is DForce &quot;compliant&quot;.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;m just trying to understand the ins and outs.&nbsp; Does anyone know what the standard is according to DAZ to be called &quot;compliant&quot; with DForce?</p>

<p>I&#39;m looking for a tutorial which can help explain how to create a new texture for an outfit, but with gaps in it. For instance the regular textures for a top might include a fully covered back, and I&#39;d like to know how to add a hole&nbsp;in the back material instead.</p>

<p>If a tutorial doesn&#39;t exist, I&#39;d still like to hear someone describe the basics of what I should be doing as a starting point.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a vanity table with a drawer. The vanity and its drawer belong to separate &quot;vertex groups&quot; in Blender, so when I import the object into the Figure Setup tab, I get two bones; one for the vanity, one for its drawer. I drag the Drawer bone to become a child of the Vanity bone.</p>

<p>Then I create the figure. It appears in my scene, and after making sure it is selected in the Scene tab, I switch to the Node Weight Map editor, right-click in the Viewport&#39;s empty space, and choose Weight Editing &gt; Fill by Bone Selection Group(s). I think this serves to make sure all vertices in the Vanity group are weighted 100% to respond to the Vanity bone, and all vertices in the Drawer group are 100% weighted to respond to the Drawer bone.</p>

<p>Then I rig the figure so the Vanity bone sticks straight up from 0,0,0 to where the drawer is, and the drawer&#39;s bone begins at the end of the Vanity bone and sticks out horizontally in the direction the drawer opens. After memorizing the rigging, I try the sliders for the drawer. It will twist and rotate in all kinds of inappropriate ways, but there is no way to extend it. No matter how I orient the bone, I can&#39;t find any position that will make the drawer slide smoothly in the desired direction.</p>

<p>I tried one more thing that I thought would be crazy: I recreated the figure, but this time without a hierarchy. The Vanity bone and Drawer bones aren&#39;t parent and child, but siblings. I thought maybe this would bring back the Translation sliders that get hidden for child bones. When I rig this up, the sliders do indeed appear when the Drawer bone is selected, but adjusting them moves the drawer&#39;s bounding box around without dragging any geometry--as if weight mapping didn&#39;t work.</p>

<p>What is the proper way to rig a drawer so the user will have a convenient Parameter slider to open and close it?</p>

<p>I have&nbsp;product which is &quot;shell based skin add on&quot;. So it is creating geoshell ... probably not sure. I am new in working with DAZ 3D.</p>

<p>Everything work fine but shell change color of skin. Don&#39;t know what to do with it.</p>

<p>When I render it with iray, the skin tone on body part with shell is different than rest of the body.</p>

<p>What to do with it? Do I have to set something in render setting??</p>

<p>I add 2 pictures. You can see that one face is much darker.</p>

Then I added pJCMShldrFwd_p40_L and used ERC Freez option and the also worked good together, but when I rotated Genesis Left Shoulder Bend to -40 and added morph pJCMShldrFwd_n40_L and also used ERC Freez option, one of the first morphs crashed. Add the images for example.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Just got both sci-fi suit system 46 and 50 but could not find out how to apply the LED / Emission effect on the suit that is apparently available as preset the only thing I got is a full body suit with the emision on the whole surface. Could not figure out how to limt the emission to a specific area.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It makes setting the object in the scene a nightmare</p>

<p>Is there a way to perminately adjust the movement axis on a model so that it will match it&#39;s symmetry?</p>

<p>There is such a problem: I tried to use texture atlas to combine texture Genesis 8 for export into a Unity. But in result i&#39;m was get something like this:</p>

<p>There were no solutions to the problem (except for the transition to the new version, which was relevant for Daz 4.5 yet).</p>

<p>Maybe someone knows how to fix it?</p>
