      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, everyone! Please, I need Help!</p>

<p>I&#39;d just bought the <strong>Millenium SubDragon</strong> and had it already installed as shown in my IM (installed items tab) (here&#39;s the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://cl.ly/62cc05d50af2">link</a> to the screenshot: <a href="https://cl.ly/62cc05d50af2" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cl.ly/62cc05d50af2</a>), yet I cannot find any *duf&nbsp;archive and the only thing I see either on my smart content or my Content Manager(even within the Poser items-as I read, yesterday, on other posts related to this issue) is the SubDragon LE (which was automatically installed the very first time I had installed DAZ (back in October 2018). Note that the image bellow shows the ONLY file found under Millenium&nbsp;Subdragon, otherwise (whether is dragons or creatures--&gt;land/air) the only &#39;actor/figure&#39; shown in SubDragon LE.</p>

<p>Also: Wondering if the visible checked marks within the IM installed tab means something, because there is none related to the Millenium SubDragon items (?)</p>

<p>I had bought a couple of items to enhance the Millenium SubDragon possibilities but I am unable to use them as I cannot load/see/find it.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey everyone, I&#39;ve been trying all day to make the hero effects brighter to match teh lighting I have for my point light, but it never seems to affect anything. Has anyone used this an altered it in ANY way? I can&#39;t change the colors at all, I can&#39;t make them appear brighter. all I can do is tranlate them and scale them. Diffuse color, ambient color, specular color, glossiness, etc, nothing alters this in any way.</p>

<p>I have daz 4.10 for what it&#39;s&#39;s worth</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I just wanted to know how to register a trademark to protect your own images etc. As the market is international should you register it in the country of the website you post on or in the country where you reside. I also assume you don&#39;t need to have a business before you register a trademark or a mark to protect copyright?</p>

<p>Any suggestions helpful including good reads, websites, and suggestions from your own experience. I don&#39;t expect a legal opinion but just want to be pointed in the right direction.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>How do you remove <strong>size scaling</strong> of content from a time line? I am using Keymate also have Animate 2 but cannot find how.</p>

<p>I can find transforms for movement but not for scale</p>

<p>I made a boo boo sizing a charactor when keymate not set to start. Now when I run animaiton the charactors keep scaling up and down in size. When I make this mistake in x,y,z I just delete those on the time line.</p>

<p>How do I delete scales in size from timeline without totally screwing up all the posing I did?&nbsp; Clear animation wipes out all of my work and resets all poses.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>This may seem like a trivial question, but I was wondering if there is a way to remove the grey thumbnails from DAZ Studio Smart Content tab for products you have uninstalled through the DAZ Install Mananger.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I uninstalled the Backdrops (all three) and don&#39;t want them cluttering up Smart Content ... I even hid them to be out of site in Install Manager, but they show up anyway within DAZ Studio.</p>

<p>Deleting them from the Content Library doesn&#39;t do anything, maybe because I still own these products and they were purchased in the DAZ Shop?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, slightly long story. I recently purchased Marlene Bob hair. When I tested it, my render took forever. I abandoned it. Strangely, all my subsequent renders were also extremely slow, until I switched off the computer. When i turned it on, everything was back to normal. I tried Marlene Bob hair again.....same thing happened. The render after I used it (i.e. I now used different hair) I had to abandon after 2 hours at 77%. My CPU use by DAZ (I render using only my graphics card, so the CPU is overflow) was 98-100%&nbsp; I switched off the computer, turned it on again and set up the scene EXACTLY as before. This time it rendered in under 2 minutes, using 45% of the CPU. What on Earth is going on????? I should mention that on both renders I re-set the render values to default. Is it possible that Marlene Bob hair is somehow doing something to settings somewhere (I know that sounds a bit like a conspiracy theory, but I&#39;m confused!)?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Daz website often thinks you&#39;re logged in when you&#39;re not. &nbsp;Why they don&#39;t fix that is beyond me.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, I was in that state and added something to my shopping cart. &nbsp;But of course you can&#39;t check out. &nbsp;I logged in. &nbsp;But now my shopping cart is empty. &nbsp;But you cannot re-add that item from the store since it thinks you have that in your empty cart.</p>

<p>Zapped all history, cookies, local storage for any domain with &#39;daz&#39; in the name. &nbsp;Restarted browser. &nbsp;Twice. &nbsp;No luck. &nbsp;It&#39;s as if Daz is caching this bad state on their server end.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve spent the last 4 days trying to figure out how I can use the &quot;<span>System 2046 for Genesis 8 Female(s)&quot; GeoShell&#39;s to conform to the character once imported into Unity.</span></p>

<p>I&#39;ve tested all the methods I know of within Unity to change the material imports, by further changng the textures in TIF format to have transparent alpha, and chaging the respective material to cutout. This method only works with the GeoShell enabled, whilst I could deactive the shell from the FBX import in Unity and keep the textures in tact on the model, I cannot remove the black alpha components using any apparent method.</p>

<p>Is there a way to get around this by exporting from Daz3D?</p>

<p>I really want a hoodie for my Genesis 8 Male figures. So far all the clothing I have purchased has been for Genesis 8 Male and Female.</p>

<p>There is a hoodie called Mega Hoodie for G8F that is great but it doesn&#39;t fit my G8M figures. So the only other option I could find in the DAZ Shop is for:</p>

<p><span>So my question is do the G3M clothes fit G8M? Or am I wasting my money by purchasing this hoodie for my figures.</span></p>

<p>would someone have some wisdom on&nbsp;Idris Hair product? I am trying to get it to look like the 1st picture on the product page- all the hair back in a pony tail but it loads with this &#39;fringe&#39;&nbsp; bangs/sides and I can&#39;t figure out how to move that all back into the ponytail like in the picture or get rid of it.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried the adjustments in the parameters tab and in shaping but no luck. There are &#39;tip&#39; icons in smart content but one goes to the vendor product page and the other didnt help.</p>

<p>Am trying to get Gen 8 into LW but making her in a &quot;T&quot; pose in Daz does not transfer to LW. There is a morph for that,(arms up/down) but when adding that in modeler at only 30% the arms shrink as vertices only move in a straight line so they only go from arms down pose to arms up in a straight line. Genesis 3 is already in &quot;T&quot; pose so that&#39;s fine. It aseems Motion Builder needs &quot;T&quot; pose to charectorize.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>About a year ago, I purchased a <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071R6HW52/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza">SkyTech Oracle - Gaming Desktop</a> computer directly from SkyTech&#39;s website. It&rsquo;s given me a great performance ever since I started using it. But I&rsquo;ve purchased, and plan to purchase, an enormous amount of 3D content here at Daz and&nbsp;Renderosity, and I can&rsquo;t install it all into my computer, which contains only 110 GB of storage. I have to constantly install, uninstall, or delete content I&#39;m not using to save storage room. I install most of the content I purchase from Daz through Daz Connect. I wanted to know what type of hard drive would be best for installing more content through Daz Connect: an external or internal hard drive. I&rsquo;m a novice when it comes to computer technology. So, which type of hard drive would make installing more content through Daz Connect as simple as possible? &nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Every time I try to open specific scenes (not every scene), DAZ crashes. Seems completely random which scenes crash and which do not.&nbsp;Some scenes were made in the last month and others over a year ago. I receive no error message, just a hard crash.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There&#39;s no connection between the scenes (all different figures/props/etc). I have no idea why this is happening and can&#39;t seem to find my specific issue on the forums.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a 60 fps animation. When I open it in Blender, I can see that all keyframes are placed at exact time spots (see attached screenshot &quot;original.png&quot;).When I import this 60 fps animation animation in DAZ and assign it to Genesis 2 Female, change FPS to 30 to 60 in the timeline to the match the actual FPS of the imported animation and export it, the keyframes will be placed at &quot;off times&quot; if you check the exported file in Blender (see attached screenshot &quot;exported from daz.png&#39;&quot;).&nbsp;<br />
This leads to problems in other programs.</p>

<p>Does anybody know this behaviour and perhaps a workaround for this?</p>

<p>The screenshot on the left shows the animation file in Blender.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m giving some consideration to building out a dedicated workstation and was wondering how Daz handles multiple GPUs (Will be NVidia cards).&nbsp; Do they have to be bridged (SLI / NVLink, etc) or will Daz detect and utilize both cards on their own?&nbsp; Thanks.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there, I&#39;m currently making a scene that uses a dark red satin shader from this set&nbsp;<a href="https://www.daz3d.com/essential-iray-shaders" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/essential-iray-shaders</a></p>

<p>I love the dark red shine, and I want to put white stars on top of it to comform with the prop.</p>

<p>Normally I could alter the base image to inculde the white stars, change it, and we&#39;re good to go.</p>

<p>However, the stars do not display, because the shader colors dark red metallic flakes, and uses a black colored gloss to give it&#39;s dark shine, in turn coloring over the white stars.</p>

<p>I&#39;m not entirely sure if it&#39;s the metallic flakes or the gloss color causing it, but I&#39;d like to keep that nice dark shine with the white stars showing on top.</p>

<p>Does anyone have advice? Thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi there. I want to use a hdri for my next scene, but I don&#39;t want to move the figures or camera.&nbsp;</p>

<p>What I&#39;m currently doing is previewing in Iray and trying to rotate the dome or move it along the xyz axis. But this is way too slow and resource intensive, even for low res equivalents. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a quicker or better way I can position the hdri without moving the scene? Thank you.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I am quite new to DazStudio and I am still trying to figure out how the shader system works so I have a couple of questions:</p>

<p>1. Why do some dark skinned characters show up as green in the Viewport window when I select NVidia Iray as the display mode but others do not (they are Iray skin shaders)? They seem to look normal (i.e. not green) when I do a render.</p>

<p>2. If I apply that same texture to both a G3 and a G8 character and do a render, the G8 charcter renders out as being darker skinned than the G3 character. How does this happen if they are both using the same shader settings?</p>

<p>Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve noticed with some characters, the rendering of the teeth comes out pixelated regardless of how far along the render is allowed to complete(max samples at 15,000 &amp; time at 21600s). I had this oocur with Cadence for G3 F. I notice that unlike most other characters, the unrendered teeth appear as an unnatural dark gray and transparent in the viewport. My workaround for the issue was to apply the porcelain shader(ceramics) and adjust the diffuse color to 165 164 149, set roughness to 0.40, and lower coat IOR from 1.5 to 1.0 which ended up rendering nicely without the pixelation, but they still appear a bit too bright. I was wondering if there are any corrective adjustments that I can make to the original texture&#39;s surface settings without having to replace it with the aforementioned shader, which is very limited when it comes to surface setting options. The first image has the original textures for the teeth and the second is a spot render using the applied shader w/ diffuse color adjustment. Using IRAY!</p>

<p>Render settings: Dome and Scene, Infinite Sphere, Draw Dome OFF, Environment Intensity 1.6, and the rest are all set on their default settings with the exception that I have the Dome Rotation set to 75.00</p>
