Sometimes stopping the render and starting over fixes it. But for some scenes, the hair fades out like this even after restarting the render.

I have a pair of leggings that are fitted to V4 (I know, it's old but that's what we've built our game characters in and have animations made for) and I am working to convert them to general weight maps (I've done this with other custom clothing because I'm not sure how exactly gen 4 clothing is setup) after I've used Figure Setup to copy the rig to the custom clothing. All looks right in the rig after Figure Setup, but when I convert to general weight maps either they change their translation or when I add the weight maps they change translation on their own. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong but I'm at a loss on just what that may be. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've tried it with default textures and it rendered fine. I've tried renameing the custom texture, that didn't work. The texture is 4096 X 4096. Is this a new glitch for DAZ Studio? Am I the only one who has had this issue?

I mostly have morphs, characters, clothing, etc., for Genesis 3. However, there are some really nice stuff being made for Genesis 8 that I would like to be able to use on my G3 bodies. I found SY Genesis 8 Clones for Genesis 3 which to my understanding should allow me to do just that. When searching for more info on it, it appeared to have positive reviews. However, there is something I am not clear on: How well does this work with high heels?

If anyone has used this product before, do you know how well it works at converting high heeled shoes?

Hi

Today for some reason studio has been throwing fits I've never encountered before. When I begin to render a scene studio just shuts down, no error message, no warning just poof the program closed. Then Windows goes into the blue screen something went wrong, yada, yada we are collection so info and will restart. This only happens with studio the whole shooting match studio quits Poof then the windows error. I rebooted, not just restarted, the PC and when I open studio it's in the defualt setting, my saved workspace is gone along with my daz content library and my linked poser libraries. It' as if I never ever pointed studio what drive my daz content is in which is the default C:/. When I go my daz content folder Users/ public/ Documents/ My Daz Library everything is there but not showing in studio under the content tab.

All my drivers are up to date, windows 10 itself is up to date to the latest build I haven't had trouble with DS at all until this morning. The only windows update today was just the windows defender definitions update but I've has these update before but never had issues like this with Studio. Everything else works Poser and all my other apps but Studio is the only issue.

As I said I have no error codes to post because there wasn't any when studio just quit. Do you think studio has corrupted maybe a fresh install of Studio?

Thanks

On another site I saw an image in which the Modern City Life 2D billboard characters are used and I instantly noticed the same 'anomaly' I've also found when using these 2D characters: they come with a default shadow, so while 3D characters and props in the scene have their own sun-created shadows, the 2Ds have a double set, their default shadows and also the sun-created ones. I just checked the Now-Crowd products' images in the Store and in some of the images 2 sets of shadows at different strengths can be seen, while in others the default shorter and lighter shadows can't be seen. So how can one get rid of the default shadows? Unless I'm missing something basic it's seems odd - a flaw - that the 2D characters should come with default shadows as the sun-created shadows work just the same whether a character is 2D or 3D.

Most of them have a "no brows" choice available for when I want to use fibermesh brows. Some even come with fibermesh brows. That said, there are some that have no "no brows" option. I don't understand why it isn't standard to just provide a no-brows option on Gen 8 skins. Even so, is there a utility to remove the brows on Gen 8 figures, like there is for Gen 3? Or is photoshop bridge the only way to take care of the problem at this time?

I work a lot with fbx exported from Daz studio to Motionbuilder, as I animate via mocap, face and body.

For quite some time, starting in genesis 3 and continuing through gen 8, that a couple of blendshapes don't export well and have some issues: eyes side-side and mouth side-side. Here's a video link to what I'm experiencing https://tinytake.s3.amazonaws.com/pulse/bryan_steagall-hotmail/attachments/10299349/TinyTake05-04-2019-07-51-33.mp4 as you can notice, when moving in + direction it works well, but not in - Very noticeable in the mouth side-side but subtle in the eyes side-side, but enough to make it unuseable

So I decided to take a look within Daz Studio to see what might be the problem.. in the above video link, I looked at the parameters of these two blendshapes and noticed that they are calling a couple of blendshape deltas that do not show up anywhere.. (2 separate blendshapes that control movement to each side) Is there a way to "unhide" these blendshapes so I can have access to them? I'm hoping that by enabling them, this might solve the problem that I'm having, and I'm not familiar enough with this portion of Studio to figure it out

The reason for all of this? I'm building a facial rig in Motionbuilder that can be reused from character to character, to make it easier to keyframe or use facial mocap.

Thanks for your help!

I'm trying to create an image in which somebody is on the outside looking in using the 22 parker road set. If you look at the render I posted, you can see that there are two reflections that shouldn't be there. So my question is what's causing them and second is there any way to get rid of them? There is no camera light being used and I set the render settings to scene only. The set comes with preloaded with 12 lamps so I'm wondering if shutting one of them might solve this? Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
