      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I am having a problem and have been battling for days without being able to resolve it. I designed my first piece of clothing in MD and exported the obj to Daz, applied the transfer utility, and dforce. It works perfect. The problem is when I apply stitching to the garment&nbsp;in MD and then apply gForce. It messes up everything. My clothing is exported as one object, which should includes the stitching. Am I exporting it wrong or why is dforce not happy when the stitching is applied on the garment?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>At least two of my actors are not working. Primarily, I instaled the Nancy Pro bundle. The actor shows as well as all parts (body, head, etc.) but when I load it, it appears to be the default G8. I can use some changes - materials like lips, make up, nails do load but the head and body shape does not. It shows Nancy at 100% under Actor in Parameters. Loading the Nancy full shape, Nancy body, Nancy head does not change anything. This has not happened to me before. Am I missing a basic thing like loading some morph or checking some box? (The other character not loading is Star 2.0) If I load, say, Serenity, it works correctly. So does Mrs Chow. Any tips? I did not find an answer when I searched the forum.</p>

<p>I am running a Mac Mini under macOS 10.14.3</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Trying to get the Daz Bridge to Photoshop CS6 going but getting an error.&nbsp; I&#39;ve the menu item in Photoshop, and it will start Daz, but then I get an error message that the init scrip doesn&#39;t exist.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been out of the daz loop for a good while, and for some reason my brain doesn&#39;t want to wrap around this.</p>

<p>Let&#39;s say theres So and So for Victoria 8. V8 is a morph for G8F. What&#39;s the right way to go about creating such a morph so that V8 herself doesn&#39;t get baked into my own morph and would still remain an ownership requirement? I&#39;ve only done it against base figures, and just realized I&#39;ve never thought about the process when another morph is involved.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I do well with dforce on draping things over tables and figures standing. But I struggle with figures sitting down mostly in dresses and skirts. An example is having a female figure in a dress driving or sitting with legs crossed.</p>

<p>The dress goes nuts between the legs and hips. As I said this is no problem if the figure is standing cross legged but in a seated position.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I don&rsquo;t think I maybe understanding collisions with the garment against chairs, sofas, beds and car seats. Is there a tutorial that can explain how to use dforce for a seated figure in skirts and dresses? A good slow moving &nbsp;tutorial that doesn&rsquo;t speed through things&nbsp;for us dense people LOL!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi!</p>

<p>So I love Faveral&#39;s Perouges set, but I ran into an interesting issue, adn I was wondering if there was a good workaround.&nbsp; When I have a set with several floors, I usually lower it so the architectural floor is at the daz floor at Y point 0 (where new objects open up).&nbsp; When I did that with Perouges, it rendered all black.&nbsp; I suspect this has something to do with the sun being under the floor, and maybe falling too far below the DAZ floor.</p>

<p>For the time being, I made nulls and parented all the figures to them, and put the setting back to its native Y-28 position.</p>

<p>But is there a workaround to make the Daz Y 0 floor the architectural floor without jsut using Nulls?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;I had to do a clean install of windows and I figured I would set up new Content Library, all of it put into categories to my liking. This is my first time doing this.</p>

<p>I started of using Studio a year ago and I have being using the Smart content Library. I never thought about the other ways content could be set up. Until I got my hands on tutorial about the other ways it can&nbsp;be done.</p>

<p>So! I used&nbsp;the DIM and dumped the whole works into a file on my harddrive called My Daz Studio Library. All of the content is Studio files.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But!!!... &quot;What a mess!&quot; And what a mistake that was!&nbsp;</p>

<p>So my question is? Can I manully sort these files out, into a correct&nbsp;Studio filing system. Or will this break&nbsp;Studio in some way or form?&nbsp;I know its not correct, because there is&nbsp;double files with incorrect spellings, there is even&nbsp;&quot;My Library within My Library&#39;s. There is even a few Poser Library&#39;s in there&nbsp;too. And on top of tha,t to my understanding, there is old DAZ &quot;Content&quot; files too.</p>

<p>I know from using the Smart Library, and 3rd party zips files, content is&nbsp;normally is put into a user files and that seems to work just excellent. My bought 3rd party files are in perfect order to what I have read and understand.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any ideas, anyone? Can I manully set up/sort the files or do I live with this mess form using DIM and work around it?&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,&nbsp;</p>

<p>After installing Daz I opened the program and started one of the guided tutorials. When doing the tutorial I added a prop that I didn&#39;t want and decided to delete it from the scene menu. After that, the program froze a little. For that, I decided to save my progress and close the software. When I returned, the tools in the viewport were whiteout (like there were white blocks in their place) and every model I load in are just grey bases and I can&#39;t tell what I&#39;m doing.&nbsp;</p>

<p><br />
I have tried:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Uninstalling and reinstalling the files from the Install Manager</li>
	<li>Uninstalling deleting and redownloading the files from the Install Manager</li>
	<li>Deleting the whole entire program and all of its files from my computer and redownloading them</li>
</ul>

<p>If this information helps I do not have photoshop installed. I don&#39;t know what that information will do if it will do any. I just thought it might help the situation(it probably won&#39;t).&nbsp;</p>

<p>I know very little about backing up folders, so if that may be the solution please understand if I don&#39;t get it right away. I apologize if I have become an inconvenience to anyone. I am very new to this sort of thing and would greatly appreciate the help. Also sorry if this situation is stupid.</p>

I&#39;ve been using the 3Dream engine and this keeps randomly happening. Usually, I&#39;ll spot-render the hair and it doesn&#39;t show again, but sometimes it does. It&#39;s very frustrating given how long hair takes to render in the first place. Any idea how to stop this crap from happening?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Why, when I do an iRay render with speed optimize, do I go from 59GB SSD free to 39GB SSD free? It&#39;s worse when the scene is optimzed for memory. And the disappeared SSD space stays gone after I exit DAZ Studio too. A reboot will recover most of it but seemingly not all of it for some reason. I know it&#39;s tied up in the Windows 10 page files dynamically allocating virtual RAM but really 20GB missing SSD space is a bug not a feature.</p>

<p>OK, so I rebooted and the 20GB missing SSD space stays missing.&nbsp; My pagefile.sys is at 16GB, my hyberfil.sys is at 6GB, and my swapfil.sys is at 16MB. Used space in the User AppData roaming DAZ 3D is only 1.5GB which must mostly be cms database usage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I guess I was under impression that pagefil.sys was at 16GB from the get go when I installed windows but apparently the majority of it on got allocated when I render in DAZ Studio and gets kept of part of Windows 10 OS usage scenario optimization.</p>

<p>That&#39;s fine if more SSD disk space doesn&#39;t disappear from 39GB to 19GB next time I do a DAZ Studio render. It shouldn&#39;t but I&#39;ll have to pay attention. I should have paid attention before I rendered for the 1st time. I could manually allocate page file space to reclaim that space &amp; then change back to system managed space to what it again but I think it&#39;s DAZ Studio, Blender renders and similar products will probably do the same.</p>

And not wanting to immediately bog down my essentially new PC with all the old crap on my harddrive i reset my harddrive but kept all my files, so i have all of my installed content still on my harddrive but not DAZ, how exactly do i go about making DAZ properly read from those files again? i thought i figured it out but apparently not. More than likely im overlooking something simple any help would be appreciated.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Why oh Why on Why won&#39;t the 3DL lights I changed to be in Photometric Mode show up in my iRay Render?!!!</p>

<p>This is one of the main reasons why I never try renders outside of portraits using 3rd party lighting presets for portraits &amp; daytime renders using sun-sky.</p>

<p>I jacked the lumens way way up and they still don&#39;t show. The openGL textured preview shows the light previews how I want the light to fall but on render...nothing!&nbsp;</p>

<p>I try the Boss Portrait Lights in this scene and they work so I compare the setting with one of the lights I changed to be in photometric mode already in my scene and they are the same but still no dice.</p>

<p>If I create DS primitives, make them emissive lights, &amp; then use the cutout opacity to make the primitives invisble then I can get light but that is not the ideal way because the built in lights have all these other properties I can change.</p>

<p>I am now using Sickleyield 3 point lighting set up tutorial (<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.deviantart.com/sickleyield/journal/Tutorial-Three-Point-Lighting-In-Iray-598282717">the one with key, fill, &amp; rim lights</a>) and still no go &amp; she has the lumens pumped up to 150000000! I&#39;ve checked the render engine &amp; it is nVidia iRay...</p>

<p>emissive geometries seem much better at replicating obvious cause &amp; effect than these photometric lights built into DS Public Beta 4.11.0.x. Maybe there is something broken in the DS Pro 4.11.0.x Public Beta</p>

<p>Well I have no ideal with when I create photometric lights in DS it&#39;s not working but the BOSS Studio Portrait lights product works so I said forget it and just made a bunch of emissive geometries instead that do work. Think I will take a look at how the &#39;Painter&#39;s Lights product that was removed from the DAZ Store does it.</p>

<p>OK, so apparently I&#39;ve found a bug in the DAZ Studio Pro Public Beta 4.11.0.239.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried both Painter&#39;s Lights, BOSS Studio Portrait, and adding photometric lights myself and while they show in preview mode they do not render. Emissive light geometries &amp; Sun-Sky work.</p>

<p>Maybe somewhere if all those geometries in my scene is a 3DL surface messing things up? It&#39;s supposed to autoconvert anyway. Maybe it&#39;s one of the filters in the render tab?</p>

<p>Lighting that works is pretty fundamental to a working render engine.</p>

<p>Maybe the problem was I merged a very old 3DL scene from a product I bought in the DAZ Store into my new iRay scene and that&#39;s corrupted the format of the DUF such that my photometric lights no longer work!</p>

<p>I guess I cloud save scene subsets &amp; import all of those into a new iRay scene.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does anyone know of an accurate method for animating a character with high heels? I have tried to use the Aniblocks off set many times but it does not take into account the twisting of the foot so it just makes the feet look like swinging pendulums throughout the animation with very little horizontal contact of the balls of the feet to the ground. This adds a bit of a sliding effect even if, for the given motion&nbsp; the feet don&#39;t slide without the offset applied. I generally import a BVH that does not include the high heel pose for the feet and try to apply the pose but can&#39;t get it to look right for the whole animation. I have tried importing from 3DXchange with a high heel pose and that also give the sliding feet effect.......................Any ideas???</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I fell in love with the LAMH Chimp and bought him. I own the catalyzer, but could never figure out how to use it. I bought the chimp anyway, determined to figure out how to get his hair working. I looked at the LAMH discussion thread, along with some documentation and I just can&#39;t figure it out. I have no idea where to even start. Can someone give me simple instructions on how to load the chimp with hair and render him? I tried and one attempt caused a crash, the second attempt froze my system. Simple instructions please!!!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone. I&#39;m trying to modify some clothing using dForce and the Timeline. I have used it successfully already, but for some reason I cannot find out why its so darn hard to clear the Timeline. Here is what I have done:</p>

<p>Memorized the character and all sub items (Edit &gt; Figure &gt; Memorize &gt; Selected items)<br />
Zerod all selected items at frame 1<br />
Cleared the animation at that point<br />
Moved to frame 20 (or 30, doesn&#39;t matter)<br />
Restored memorized items<br />
<br />
But when I go back to frame one, my character is in some random pose that I never set, and all the changes I just made are no longer there and everything is reverted. I&#39;ve tried clearing every single thing I can think of, but it still just goes back to these weird poses. Yes, I have &quot;cleared poses&quot; several times. I have no idea why its suddenly doing this, and I&#39;ve fougth this thing for hours and cannot figure out what I&#39;m doing wrong. Please help!</p>

<p>I just want my poses to stay the way I told them to at each frame, not choose a random pose by itself! (they aren&#39;t even real poses, just random positions...)</p>

It always runs tabs across the top of the panel and won&#39;t allow me to snap onto the sides. I assume there&#39;s something simple I&#39;m missing. Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Rendering individual models is reasonably quick and looks incredible, but rendering an entire scene increases the time taken by alot.</p>

<p>I&#39;m just looking for a big list of things that will help speed up rendering in Iray while maintaining decent visuals.</p>

<p>The pointers I have so far are -</p>

<p>1. Render scene instead of Dome and scene (can&#39;t do that because it leads to a pixel glitch)</p>

<p>2. Something about changing everything in the scene to the Iray shader? No idea how to do that though.</p>

<p>3. I&#39;ve turned on both CPU and GPU rendering alongside that speed up rendering option, no idea if any of these make a difference though.</p>

<p>That&#39;s about it. Thanks to anyone who answers in advance though.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I decided to write this note down just in case it may be useful to somebody. Since my first fresh installation of win10 I noticed some refreshing troubles in file explorer. I also found a lot of articles on the web about this issue&nbsp;but none of them was convincing to me because I did now I was in a fresh and clean installation so anything regarding system fixes was out of the question.</p>

<p>Finally I resolved the issue by unchecking &quot;show preview handlers in preview pane&quot; in the file explorer options. Now everything works fine. I guess the preview pane has some troubles with handlers and just slows down or block refreshing because of that. At least this was the solution for me.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>[Why won&#39;t my skies render dark?] </span>Both with Sun-Sky or Scene-Dome and even at 1:00 AM in UK on summer solstice? I thought that was far enough south to get dark at 1:00 AM in summer?</p>

<p>NEVERMIND : I had the &#39;Environmental Intensity&#39; above 1.0 which is the default. Higher value is like higher ISO value film it makes the entire seen brighter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>How do I get LAMH to work. Both my Artic Fox (white hair) and Red Fox (green hair) show the LAMH in the pre render stage. But they are hairless when rendered.</p>

<p>I did check my Plug-ins and LAMH Catalyzer is green. Is there something in addition that I need??</p>

<p>Many thanks in advance, I know this is supposed to be easy, and probably is, except for me.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I was working on something in Daz Studio, and some sort of error caused not only the program to shut down, but also my internet and word processor to close, and my computer to log out.&nbsp; When I logged back in, I tried to open Daz Studio back up, but was unable to, instead getting an error message, a screenshot of which I have attatched below.&nbsp; Daz was working just fine on my computer until this happened, though the lack of memory on my current laptop means&nbsp;I have&nbsp;to keep my directories on an external hard drive I keep plugged in at all times.&nbsp; Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem?</p>

<p>UPDATE: Nevermind, restarting my computer fixed the issue.</p>

<p>I have been trying to get Magic to load, but keep getting an error that says to see the log.</p>

<p>Where might this log be located, or am I overlooking / missing something.</p>

<p>For some reason I am not able to attach a screen shot. The file is FSLem Magic Blade 02.DUF. I did try other blades with the same results.</p>

I&#39;m planning on updating my PC and now we have the new Nvidia RTX 2080s and I heard that 4.10 doesn&#39;t support the RTXs.&nbsp;<br />
Is that true?</p>
