      <title>G3m distortion in sitting position</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m not sure if this is a new problem or something I&#39;ve only recently noticed, but when I move the legs up on a Genesis 3 Male figure (or a figure based thereon), there are major distortions that occur. There appear deep grooves at the top of the legs, and the belly squishes up and forms a sharp ridge down the centre. Is there a way preventing or fixing this? (I thought it was a result of a particularly muscular morph, but it seems to happen with all variations including the standard figure).</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I just picked up SimTenero&#39;s Iray Memory Assistant to try to see if I can figure out the general size of a scene for a graphic card so I can see if I&#39;m getting the right size card in the long run.</p>

<p>But one scene that I try to run the script on doesn&#39;t show anything (one of my more items-intense scenes).</p>

<p>I run the script, and it shows it trying to load, but nothing pops up with screen information.</p>

<p>I&#39;m acheiving my comic book after about one year of work \o/&nbsp;<br />
For now , the first volume has been classified &quot;secret&quot; , because it&#39;s for my bro&#39;s birthday :) So , I wanted to acheive this one so it could be a true object of discussions , art direction , dialogs etc.&nbsp;<br />
Well , I did many tries&nbsp;to have an homogenic art direction. It&#39;s my first comic book , so it&#39;s extremly difficult to get satisfaction. I wanted to have something close to the halftone process that belongs to manga , with a mix of 3D, outlines , etc.&nbsp;<br />

So I tried many shaders , many tutos I&#39;ve found on the web. Sometimes, like for &quot;manga shaders&quot;, that was too late... I would have had to prepare all my models with this shader , but the delay was too short and I took it too late, the project was too advanced.&nbsp;<br />

I rendered the scene with &quot;Graphic Art cameras&quot; halftone process. And next , I rendered the outlines with tooncam, and assembled in photoshop.&nbsp;<br />

Maybe my halftone is a bit bigger, but I&#39;m not quite sure it&#39;s the main poblem lol , now I would want to select zones and reboot the look with a more manga look-alike, based on gradients , etc.&nbsp;<br />
And , now , my question : Is there a meaning to render only zones , as a depth map , or this kind of things ? Is there some kind of process to only obtain delimited color mass that could help me selecting zones easier than If I do it with hand-selecting.&nbsp;<br />

I want to render all the diffuse maps as color zones so I could select them to redesign the look with specific gradients , etc.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve got several custom toolbar buttons that I use all the time (eg. G8M, G8F, etc.). I wanted to put a reset shader in there too but it doesn&#39;t work in the toolbar yet works fine from Content Library. Daz tells me that it can&#39;t be found? Similarly other shaders that I bought from here also don&#39;t work from the scripts menu yet the Iray Uber Base does.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Anyone got any knowledge on this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>It started yesterday with the Laguna Mermaid set. I lost the tail and geoshell completely. I deleted and&nbsp;restalled the set, but still found all surface settings blanked/reset/the maps not in place.</p>

<p>I put I ticket in, but realise that no one will be in the Daz offices today. I tried to today with other merged figures, Medusa and Centaur 7. I have the same problem. Is Daz Studio corrupted? Should I re-install that?</p>

<p>I have Daz Studio 4.10 Pro, iMac, High Sierra 10.13.3. I&#39;ve attached an image of how the Centaur loads. Medusa looks much the same. Laguna - as there&#39;s no figure - only gets the bra-top loading.</p>

<p>I&#39;m still fairly new with Daz Studio and I&#39;m lost. Any help is appreciated. :)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I am trying to use animate2 for an animation project. I have not found anitblocks for sale that include the movements I need so I am starting to create my animation with poses in animate2. in my first scene I have a character waving,&nbsp;smiling, blinking&nbsp;and then will have a line of dialoge. I thought it would be best to create an anitiblock with the waving, save it, then make a anitblock for blinking since I will need that blinking movement a lot in other scenes,&nbsp;and then combine them using layers. My 1st antiblock looked fine in Animate2 but after saving it, when I open it and try to apply, the character moves in a tilted like way. I tried doing this a few times and made sure I had no camera movement&nbsp; - but it keeps happening.&nbsp;I am starting with the same scene I used to create the antiblock.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;Please see screenshots attached in a power point document.&nbsp; Is there something I am doing wrong that makes the character tilt like this? I can try to re-orient the character to start the saved antiblock but when I start having scenes with multiple characters that doesn&#39;t seem like it will work as a fix.</p>

<p>I am wondering if it is compatable with Genesis 1 &amp; Genesis 2 UV maps.</p>

<p>Sadly I cannot tell if they do or do not work in the demo. But they at least&nbsp;show up as a importable model type.</p>

<p>But because it wont let me export UV maps in the demo version, I cannot tell if they will be up to par in terms of them fitting and wrapping properly in Daz3D.</p>

<p>I do want to buy it, but I dont want to if the finished UV map I make wont wrap proper with most legacy Genesis models.</p>

<p>Anyone with experiance that can verify it working proper with Genesis 1 &amp; Genesis 2?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello guys, I have a question which I couldn&rsquo;t find the answer to. I have purchased plenty of items from Daz store and other stores as well and they are taking wuite a lot of space. So what I was thinking is extracting zip folders with installers (DIM compatible ones), deleting 3Delight materials, unnecessary files etc and repacking them back with the same name they had before. I reckon that would save me about 30-40% of the space it&rsquo;s using now. I store my installers on a separate drive and only need them when reinstalling.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Would that work?&nbsp;</p>

<p>If not, what would be the best way to reduce each items&rsquo; file size?</p>

<p>I&#39;m trying to render a scene in Iray that is set inside a warehouse with muliple figures and a few atmospheric lights, but the rendering process is so slow and the final product always comes out as a grainy mess.&nbsp;&nbsp;I&#39;m currently rendering it on my notebook because my larger computer refuses to render anything it seems. Is there a way to speed up the rendering process and get a better result,&nbsp;or are there some&nbsp; lighting tricks that I can use to make 3DDelight work to my advantage</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>A while back, instead of probably going the right way and uninstalling from the old location and reinstalling to the new ( F: to E: ), I simply copied my library folder and changed all of my pathing. This seems to have created a situation where I cannot uninstall items properly via DIM as it thinks the folders are missing. Is there any way to correct this without completely redoing my library?</p>

We are trying to build the ULTIMATE RENDER PC! (And you might have some ideas how to make it happen.)<br />

Rendering High Quality animations takes a lot of time. Currently we have 2 PC&#39;s only rendering animations.<br />

ANIMATION PC CONFIG:<br />
GPU - 4x 1080ti (connected with risers)<br />
RAM - 32 GB<br />
CPU - i7 8700k<br />
PSU: 2x 1000 wat&nbsp;<br />

The problem is that wen we connect more than 4x 1080ti Daz3D becomes unstable and when rendering it usually crashes or resets.<br />
Has anyone successfully and stably ran Daz3D with 5 or more cards?&nbsp;<br />
If so what can you please tell us how? And what&#39;s your CONFIG?&nbsp;<br />
Do you know what could be the bottle neck causing the PC with more cards than 4 cards to crash?<br />
Do you have any other suggestion on what we should update for the PC to render faster? (Please don&#39;t suggest 2080ti it&#39;s not optimized for Daz3D. And dont suggest optimizing the scene. )</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have three Runtime libraries The first is the one that DAZ puts all of its content in. The Second is where I put all of the Poser content that I download from other web sites. The Third is where I install DAZ compatible content from other sites.</p>

<p>I have no problem installing content in the Poser Runtime - it shows up just fine inside DAZ Studio. But I am having trouble with the (3rd Party) DAZ Runtime folder. If I install something in a Props folder outside of the Runtime folder - it shows up inside DAZ Studio. But if I install something inside the DAZ Runtime&gt; Library&gt; Props folder - it never shows up in DAZ Studio. Likewise nothing shows up from the other folders in that Runtime.</p>

<p>Because of this, if I download something that has both Poser and DAZ files, I always have to opt for installing the Poser versions. I would rather use the DAZ Studio versions.</p>

<p>What am I doing wrong? How do I get the DAZ compatible files to show up inside DAZ Studio?</p>

<p>&nbsp; Hi. The Classic Tuxedo for Genesis 3 Males has a couple of props in the Jacket - a corsage and button - which are separate and can be deleted.</p>

<p>&nbsp; I&#39;m having difficulty exporting a clean OBJ of the Jacket in order to (theoretically) create a new Morph for it and then reimport. (Other items exported fine.) It would be nice to do this with an Open Jacket as well. Is there anything unusual about this Jacket that I should be paying attention to in order to export?</p>

      <title>Photoshop CS for Ron's Edge Grunge?</title>

<p>I just purchased a product called Ron&#39;s Edge Grunge.</p>

<p>I won&#39;t install in DAZ Studio because it apparently needs Photoshop CS.</p>

<p>I only have the Photoshop Elements software.</p>

<p>So my question is, can I use Ron&#39;s Edge Grunge with Photoshop Elements, or do I need to get the full Photoshop CS software?</p>

<p>Photoshop Elements supports brushes and frames, so not sure if it&#39;s just somehow getting this product into Elements another way, or if it simply will not install unless I get CS.</p>

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I really want to use the Ron&#39;s Edge Grunge&nbsp;and I would hate to have to return it. I am a painter, and I don&#39;t require the full Photoshop software, which is why I originally had purchased the Photoshop Elements software.</p>
