      <description><![CDATA[<p>I can&#39;t figure out how to get Animate2 to see mapped directories. I know I had this worked out a couple of Daz Studio versions back, but since using Connect in Studio I haven&#39;t figured out how to get Animate2 to see anything other than the DazConnect directory. I have my personal aniblocks saved in D:\My DAZ 3D Library\My Aniblocks which is mapped in Daz Studio&nbsp;for the Content Library, but I can&#39;t figure out how to get Animate2 to see it so it&#39;s available in the dropdown menu.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, after realising some characters come with a million things (props, poses, presets etc), I was wondering, if it&#39;s possible to get rid of everything not needed in the installation package itself, installing it and having the content that&#39;s in showing up under Smart content. To explain things:</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Let&#39;s take&nbsp;Lee 8 character for example. Imagine that he comes with:</p>

<p>- 2 sets of hair, 5 presets for each one</p>

<p>- Beard, 5 presets for it</p>

<p>- Eyes, 5 presets for it</p>

<p>- Skin</p>

<p>_ poses&nbsp;</p>

<p>- props</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>That&#39;s the content of it, but let&#39;s say I only wanna keep skin and 2 eye presets. Can I delete everything else I don&#39;t need, re-pack the file, install it and have the things I left in (skin and 2 eye presets) showing up in Smart content without any other (!) items causing errors.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>If not, is there any other way I could do this? I have many packages and the amount of files is enermous. I am not trying to reduce file size, I just don&#39;t need all the files I bought.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have saved a wearables preset - hair and clothing. When I select the character in the scene and double-click the wearables preset, instead of attaching the hair and clothing, Daz creates a new character in the scene with that hair and clothing.</p>

<p>The wearables preset is labeled &quot;wearable(s),&quot; not &quot;Actor,&quot; and I tried several times to be sure I have selected the actor - the same actor who has worn this preset before.</p>

<p>I successfully applied wearables to other actors in the scene, so I&#39;m baffled. Is there some wearables parameter or step I&#39;m overlooking?.Thanks!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey guy&#39;s, I just bought a hair style (Stylish Shaved Hair For Genesis 3 And 8 Male(s), my problem is it will not for some reason load on to any of my Gen 8 and 3 characters, I tried to re install but no luck. I tried to apply over and over again but nothing, the worst part is it doesn&#39;t show up in hair, even if I uncheck filtered content. Can you please help...       <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey everyone! So I apologize if this has been answered before but I&#39;ve searched and I can&#39;t seem to find the answer.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I recently reinstalled Daz on my computer, and since my local hard drive is kind of full (and slow) I decided to make an external drive hold the main Runtime which contains all of my content. Some content, however, like the Daz content that is created at installation like base Uber shaders and that kind of thing were installed into the &#39;default&#39; Daz runtime.&nbsp;</p>

At some point, I must have removed that default runtime from my content library. I would like to re-add the default Daz runtime to my content library but I don&#39;t know where it&#39;s stored.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Can anyone help me figure out where, in a normal default installation of Daz, the default content runtime is located?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi guys, I have encountered a weird issue. I never had problems with DazStudio before, it just started happening today. So basically, I cannot render anything anymore, even Iray preview is not working! It worked fine until late afternoon today, when suddenly I couldn&#39;t render pictures after some time. Before that, I rendered about 10 of them....</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Since then, I decided to wipe my library and do a clean install. Twice. The problem still encounters. The first message I get is: Error during rendering!, and after closing the message and trying again it says: Cannot render, renderer already in use.</p>

<p>If I try to render an empty scene, figures or just switch to Iray preview, it doesn&#39;t work. All packages were installed using DIM and everything seemed fine. I&#39;m using 4.11 Beta latest version (Updated after the previous version stopped working) with 2070. Please see the attached log file</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey guys, it&#39;s my first time&nbsp;trying to render a series of&nbsp;animations for an&nbsp;82&quot; screen (16:9,&nbsp;3840 x 2160) and I&#39;m wondering if it is supposed to take this long. Right now, it&#39;s rendering for c.a. 5 hours per second/30 frames. These are my current render settings:</p>

<p>Max samples: 200 iterations<br />
Max time: 7200 sec<br />
Rendering quality enable: off<br />
Render engine: NVIDIA Iray<br />
Graphic card:&nbsp;MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Armor 8G</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>These two are just made for each other, except, there is a severe breakdown in the Liquid Armor Gloves (and to a lesser extent the Boots) when used with Supreme Intelligensia. (See attachments: 0%, 10%, 30%, 100%)</p>

<p>The tips of the gloves break up after the end of the last bone of the fingers (but strangely not the thumb). You can see the morphed hand in that background-yellow outline in the fifth screen shot.</p>

<p>I have checked the rigging and weight maps on the gloves, but nothing stands out that would result in that kind of behaviour. I realize that it is an extreme morph and keeps only three fingers and the thumb, but the digits are only stretched (not with scaling, but by moving the ends of the bones&#39; Center/EndPoint). Scaling the fingers with the regular Scale slider does not produce any distortion.</p>

<p>I get the same sort of effect with the HFS Ultimate Shapes on the hands (especially HFS Hands 01 through 04) which do the same sort of rigging manipulation (Center/EndPoint deltas) and probably more stuff I don&#39;t understand. Uninstalling HFS Ultimate shapes does not affect the distortion seen with Supreme Intelligencia, nor vice versa, so to me, the source of the discrepancy is in the Liquid Armor gloves.</p>

<p>Anyone know what&#39;s happening here? Can it be fixed? I&#39;ll submit a ticket very soon (I still have a few weeks to decide its fate).</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there a way to detect collisions on multiple sources. Lets say you dress GF8 in pantyhose. The pantyhose stretches and smoothes across the crotch area. The pantyhose is set to detect collisions with GF8. Now you dress GF8 with&nbsp; leotard over the pantyhose (figure skaters do this) If the leotard is set to detect collisions with GF8 it gets overlapped by the pantyhose and if collision detection is set to the pantyhose then collisions occur with GF8.</p>

<p>So the question is whether the leotard can detect collisions with GF8 and the pantyhose in cascaded succession?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>I&#39;ve logged onto the PC this morning to find that my multi screen layout has once again reverted to the default single screen setup.&nbsp; Not a biggie, it happens occasionally (though I have no idea why) but today is different... I can no longer undock, move or float any tabs.&nbsp; It&#39;s pretty much locked to the factory settings, which is proving very difficult when you&#39;re used to a certain way of working (over a mch larger space too!)</p>

<p>This is DAZ Stitdio 4.10 Pro that I&#39;m using.&nbsp; I did try 4.11 Pro Beta and it has this ecaxt issue, which put me off using it (I know it&#39;s a beta and I guesed it would just be because it&#39;s not the finished product!) but if 4,10 is now doing it too it seems a bit odd!</p>

<p>I don&#39;t wish to uninstall and reinstall unneccissarily, but is there any way to get this functionality back without having to resort to that (assuming even that would sort it?)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>The laptop that I use for Daz3d is a HP Pavilion dv7-4285dx, with WIndows 7 - 64bit. My GPU is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370, and my CPU is Intel Core i5 M 460.</p>

<p>Is my laptop compatible with dForce and OpenCL? If it is, where can I get OpenCL, and how do I install it in my laptop?</p>

<p>I know better than to use DIM while DAZ Studio is running, but this time I forgot to shut it down. Unfortunately, today&#39;s updates included&nbsp;a new version of 4.11 Beta, which now looks like this (see attached screenshot).</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried loading a saved workspace, and even did a System Restore, but neither made any difference. Do I need to uninstall &amp; reinstall 4.11 Beta? If so, is there anything I should do before I proceed?</p>

<p>i just jumped into the very complex but fascinating world of photorealistic 3D rendering and began experimenting with the free samples given. I suddenly missclicked and now each time i open DAZ3D and open up a new file, to start creating a new 3 model well....there is nothing. Nothing shows up, may it be a structure, a body, clothes, accessoires, creatures... I simply don&acute;t see anything.</p>

<p>Even trying to open a saved creation doesn&acute;t work since the center view port stays empty. Even the tutorial doesn&acute;t work since the view port is gray.....i&acute;m lost Help T-T ....</p>

<p>I have loads of missing file icons in &gt; Smart Content &gt; Saved Files.</p>

<p>I am still learning and deleted a lot of the scenes I made from my computer.</p>

<p>Tried &gt; Content Library &gt; The tool icon at top and chose &gt; Content DB Maintenance but the options other posted do not appear on mine.</p>

<p>I am running version 4.10.</p>

I allow myself to post a message because I have a problem with my Daz 4.10 pro. Indeed, I have a problem especially with Genesis 8 Female only. I start daz, no particular message, I go to the character tab, I select for example G3F or G2F, my character is loaded correctly, no deformation. I&#39;m going to select G8M, no problem either, for cons, I run G8F or another character using it (Victoria 8 for example), it loads, no errors but however, it is completely distorted. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it with Install Manager but nothing changed. A few months back, G8F was working properly, I do not see where the problem can come from, usually I use G2F or G3F and I wanted to test Victoria 8 that I just bought, I noticed this problem. What do you recommend that I do ?<br />

<p>I am having serious problem loading and now simply reinstalling FWSA Chastity HD.</p>

<p>First, I did a manual install into my content library folder, refreshed in Daz Studio, Daz Studio displays it but when I try to load it, I get the error &quot;File could not be found&quot;.&nbsp; I know it&#39;s there.</p>

<p>Second, I uninstalled it manually and try installing it via Daz Connect and Daz Installer Manager...neither worked.&nbsp; Furthermore, every time I tried to install it using the DIM, the application crashed.</p>

<p>Any ideas on what could be the problem here?&nbsp; I would hate to think it&#39;s the item itself.</p>

<p>I export my Daz scenes to C4D to render in Octane. If I&#39;m using some add-on materials, how can I get those textures into C4D?</p>

<p>For example, using a tan line plugin obviously when I export to C4D that doesn&#39;t follow. Same for some genital add-ons and such.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Is it even possible?</p>

<p>I hope I am posting this in the right spot, if there is a forum for specific products please let me know so I can ask there.&nbsp; I am having issues getting CC Circe NOT to glow.&nbsp; I started with CC Circe.duf and every time I render her she is glowing white.&nbsp; I can see her in other peoples renders with human skin and the product discription says she has a human base.&nbsp; I have tried reseting her base, reseting her makeup, deleting her and adding her back into the scene and clicking on anything in the smart content that says &quot;remove&quot;.&nbsp; No matter what I do she is still glowing white.&nbsp; Maybe there is a script or something I am missing?&nbsp; Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve searched the forum for this question, but could not find it, so, here it is -</p>

<p>I am not doing animation, just single images.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Many questions are geared towards speeding up the rendering process; however, mine is the opposite.&nbsp;&nbsp; After I&#39;ve put in many hours into a single scene, I want the end result to have as much detail (size) as possible, which I can then open in Photoshop Cs6 or other graphics editor.&nbsp;&nbsp; The last thing I do is start the render process, then come back the next day to hopefully have no grainyness with as much detail as possible.&nbsp; But the technical details within the settings are beyond my understanding, nor can I find any understandable tutorial.</p>

<p>To get the best image, what are the key settings I should manipulate, and what should they be?&nbsp; What are the trade-offs insofar as maximizing on or another.</p>

<p>I&#39;m wondering if there is a feature or script that will allow me to to pose multiple objects (identically change general parameter settings on each) without having to select each object.</p>

<p>Unnecessary specifics:&nbsp; I love using D-Forms to customize figures and often, rather than converting to a morph I prefer to leave the D-Forms as is so that I have &quot;handles&quot; to further customize for motion/collision/etc.&nbsp; Based on the figure and pose, I find it necessary to use 2 identical D-Forms on adjacent nodes to maintain the D-Form field and shape along the boundary where the 2 nodes meet.&nbsp; This would be unnecessary if I converted to a morph, but then I lose my &quot;handles.&quot;&nbsp; Just for the purpose of efficiency, I&#39;d like to be able to link one &quot;handle&quot; to another.&nbsp; I can&#39;t simply parent one to another because the paramaters of each need to track to the individual nodes they&#39;re D-Forming and each other.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Well, it migth be obvious, but at least not to me.</p>

<p>I was browsing through the change notes for 4.11, when I fell upon &quot;<span>screen color grabbing functionality (</span><small>e.g., press/hold the &quot;restore modifier&quot; + click-drag</small><span>)</span>&quot;.</p>

<p>I had never been aware of a &#39;color grabber&#39;, nor I wasn&#39;t sure what was meant by&nbsp;&#39;restore modifier&#39;. It has always annoyed me how tedious it was to copy a specific color to different places (as you can&#39;t paste it as hex).</p>

<p>But after some trial&nbsp;and error I realised that in 4.11 I should hold &lt;ctrl&gt;&lt;shift&gt; for it to work while in 4.10 it was &lt;alt&gt; (which&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/profile/17150/rbtwhiz">rbtwhiz</a>&nbsp;referred to as &#39;restore modifier&#39;, which I actually knew but not under that term).</p>

<p>So far, so good.</p>

<p>But it made me think if there somewhere was a kind of overview of such features, as there migth be other hidden gems. I usually limit my normal trial and error to rigth click and left click.</p>

<p>Daz Studio documentation is generally lacking, but I thought there might be an overview somewhere.</p>

      <title>Mick Gothic 2 - Black Eyes Bug</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Has anyone used the Mick Gothic 2 set? You can&#39;t render characters in IRAY in this set as they all have the black eyes bug.&nbsp; I was careful to attempt the renders in the plus range for the X, Y and Z&nbsp;translates.&nbsp; It makes no difference. I tried adding lots of additional lighting and nothing.&nbsp; I take the same characters put them in any other scene and the eyes are great.&nbsp; Put them into Mick Gothic 2 cathedral and the black eyes bug is back. Re-applying the eye presets does nothing.&nbsp; I have tried 5 different characters to make sure it wasn&#39;t related to the individual model.&nbsp;&nbsp;I&#39;d love some advice from anyone who has overcome this issue.&nbsp; Otherwise this amazing set is fairly useless.</p>

<p>Note: I have discovered that if you set the render settings to &#39;Sun-Sky Only&#39; AND you use the Perspective View AND you zoom in super close to the eyes then it works minutely better, but is still unusable.&nbsp; The eyes aren&#39;t completely black, but they are still very, very&nbsp;dark.&nbsp;I thought I would mention it to see if that sparks any thoughts.&nbsp; For fun I tried putting a 50,000,000 lumens light right next to the character&#39;s face.&nbsp;The person looks almost pure white from top to bottom and the eyes are still black as night.&nbsp; Tried using the Iray Ghost Light Kit to do an indirect diffuse light.&nbsp; Still the same thing. Someone, somwhere must have put a character into this set before right?</p>

I am content creator, and I have been using geografts and geometry shells together in the past, but since 4.10 it doesn't seem to work correctly anymore or I am missing something?
I can create geograft sucessfully and it does fit as it should but when i create a geometry shell for base figure it ignores the geograft. It does not follow the geometry of the geograft and does not contain its surfice groups.

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I downloaded the &#39;The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly&#39; bundle which contained a donkey, hippo, and bison model. Only the donkey shows up in my smart content section. The other two don&#39;t have checkmarks in the install window (I&#39;ve redownloaded and reinstalled them several times to change this but it didn&#39;t work). I can access the two models in the content library section, but I have to apply the texture map manually each time after loading the base model. It would be more convenient if they just showed up in my smart content tab like the donkey does.</p>

<p>Does anyone know how to fix this? The guides on this site for missing models had odd verbiage and/or outdated instructions and thus were not helpful.</p>
