I didn't even know PowerPose existed until all the recent talk about it with the new update. Now I'm trying it out, and it looks like it would be a fantastic help--if it worked.

Most of my library is Genesis 3, and for those characters, both male and female, several of the PowerPose dots don't work right.

For instance, if I load up a Genesis 2 character and use the Left Thigh or Right Thigh dot, I can use the mouse to adjust Bend, Twist, and Side-to-Side--basically, I can move the thigh just like you'd expect.

But on a Genesis 3 character, those dots control Twist, Z Rotate (which does nothing), and X Rotate (which does nothing).

Is there an updated template I could get to make PowerPose work with Genesis 3?

Im trying to add some pants to a character that has been created by a morph. The morph has been set as character with the script shape rigger plus.

When I drop the OBJ with the pants, then I run the transfer utiliy and the pants don't chage at all his shape in the original not morphed character (a G8 female) but when morphed they contract, keeping the relative shape relation with G8 female and not the new morph. Any solution?

What I would expect is the pants don't change his shape at all and being able to deform with any pose of the new morph, but instead they are using as reference G8 and not the new morph.

I have tried to tick off the morph option in the transfer utility with no difference,

I am getting folders sometimes with the hair name but nothing in them and other times nothing at all. The script will recognize the hair , then when it goes to convert it says 1 of 0 hair items converted and then nothing . Or it will say it has completed and then nothing shows up. I really wanna love this product any help will be appreciated.

The options for the plugin were still in 4.11 when i opened it up for the first time, and when i reinstalled the plugin again it still wont work. When opening up 4.11 for the first time I did get a new error message i have not gotten before and it was about a valid postgresql cms something.

Hi. A few months ago I switched to 4.11 Beta because I read about a human surface shader issue that was fixed in the current Beta. I used 4.11 almost exclusively and had no problems. Maybe last week or the week before the Beta had an update. Then I started having problems with those white specks. At first I thought it was just a poor product I had chosen. Then I lucked up on some new StoneMason sets. Inhad issues with the plants when I used the included lighting. Big white holes.

I have my renders set to run 15 000 on min and max with firefly enabled. I change filtering to 0.80. I get about 2 to 4 K iterations.

I have noticed I have the most problem with sets and just using their included lights. These are top quality things like Terra Dome 3.

I have less problem when I set the lights up myself. Using one of my HDRI sets.

I have attached a screen grab of Elios and his hair. Terra Dome 3 preset background set of those mountains with snow. The white spots in his hair never filled in, which is rather annoying. This is using the 4.11 public upgrade. I haven't had the chance to render in the new, new beta. Or render with my LY set.

Any ideas? Do most people add more lights to their sets? I am getting real frustrated.

Thank you in advance!

The promotional renders have a nice, clean, bright white look to them, which is very much the look that I'm going for. However, when I render out of the box using the default lighting and mats, I get something far more shadowed and grey. Even when I increase the value of the emission in the lights, I still get a very dark look- nothing like the promo renders. Has anybody used this set and can tell me what I'm doing wrong? Do I need to be adding my own lighting to the set, and if so, what should I use? Or, if not, what mistake am I making?

I am doing this in Affinity Photo. That is the easy-ish part. When I go to render in iRay, however, the tattoo's do not render in colour, but rather in a rust-coloured shade. You can see in the attached files what I mean.

My question is this: what setting on the Surfaces tab do I have to change in order for the iRay render to come out looking like it is supposed to, as referenced in the texture shaded example?

Solution: I have to change the transparency map too. Then in works perfectly.

I'm trying to figure out how to port these skins: https://www.daz3d.com/catgirl-genesis and the related bunny and foxy/wolfy ones to Genesis 2 - I'm guessing there are UVs I need. The V5 ones and the few others I have don't work. I get a substantial gap between the neck and head, and between the body and limbs with any UV I have tried. I picked these up JUST so I could try using them on G2. Anyone got any ideas?

At some point last night, a storm killed my power and turned off my computer. This morning, I turned it back on, and it went into 'update' mode. I waited for Windows to finish it's update and re-started. Everything seemed fine until this afternoon when I opened Daz Studio. It basically went almost all 'white' on me. I do recall as I was downloading a purchase through DIM, that there was an option to update Daz, so I clicked on it inside DIM. This is what I got when I opened it today:

It seems the "Create Bottom Half Poses" script doesn't consider the figure's Y translation. I can understand why you wouldn't want to have a top half pose affect the Y translation, but I'd really like to keep my figure on the ground when I apply different bottom half poses to it. Is there a way to modify the script, so that it copies the Hip's Y translation of the original pose?

Breast Control 8 - Morph target changes as I use Puppeteer

Hi there!

I am using Breast Control 8, in a Genesis 8 figure and trying to to bring Daz characters into Unreal Engine 4

I am following this guide:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ob73cexdD_w

I made use of this method before and it worked just fine, however, for some reason when I apply keys to the timeline using puppeteer with Breast Control, I get morphs values changes too. (i.e. when I move breasts, the size morph is changed too, also some other applied morphs to the body)

I put a gif here showing the problem, (contains nudity)

https://i.imgur.com/TUYoa8T.gif

Someone know if this is some kind of bug o it is meant to work this way?

I could re-adjust all the morphs in each keyframe, but I think that would be too tedious.

Thanks in advance and excuse my English.

I used to find the Uber shader in my Surfaces tab, under Presets, and by then filtering with the word "Uber".

Since this last update to 4.11.0.383 (Pro 64), the Uber shader (and many others) can no longer be accessed that way. They don't show up.

I presume the developers are changing the way these shaders are acessed. So what is the new way?

I'm making clothing for the very first time in Daz Studio, I've been using the "Genesis 8 base male" figure to model my wardrobe on. I'm almost halfway thru finishing the weight painting part but, I just wanted to test my wardrobe on my own orignal figure (which is genesis 8 too) but there is somthing odd that happens to the outfit? It mimics the same shapes as my orignal gensis 8 character which is not what I expected. Because the time I've modeled the outfit on the GEN8 base it looked nothing like the image below. (I will be more than happy to go over this on Skype or team viewer. I will really love to get this problem resovled)

Thank you,

I've been using Daz Studio for over a year and really love it. However,...

I purchased 2 products yesterday and when I downloaded them using the IM I noticed an upgrade to Daz Studio 4.11 was available to download. Wanting to keep things up to date I downloaded and installed the upgrade. No issues of any kind were noted with the install.

However, now I cannot render using 3Delignt any (quite simple actually) saved scenes that previously rendered in 3Delight (under 4.10) with no problems.

Any thoughts? I am running under 64bit Windows 8.1 with 8GB of RAM using a i7 processor

Thanks so much!!
