      <description><![CDATA[<p>to my understanding, those wire bounding boxes are meant to represent the different sections of a figure that can be controlled or edited. and I know there is a type of loading glitch where if there is no geometry detected they show the actual bounding boxes as geometry.&nbsp; &nbsp;I want to know if I can do this deliberately because it would be very helpful in seeing what parts of the figure are considered their own segment so I can work solely on that segment.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>First and most important question - where is the download link for Daz 4.10? I heard that scenes made in 4.10 will occasionally crash 4.11, but I read it after I installed 4.11 :(</p>

<p>Daz 4.11 has some unwanted changes that completely block my workflow (unless I&#39;m an idiot and can&#39;t configure it properly)</p>

<p>First of all, what happened to smart content? Now, let&#39;s say I select Gen8 Female from smart content, double click it and instead of loading it into the scene, Daz wants to start a new scene and discard my current work. Is this new or I&#39;m doing something wrong? I had no problems like that in 4.10. Same goes for poses. I select the Gen figure in Scene Tab, double click a pose from smart content and <strong>&quot;Would you like to save your current scene before closing it?</strong>&quot; Please help!</p>

<p>Second - Parameters Tab -&gt; Transforms. Is it just me or moving objects on xyz axis with the slider has gotten extremely slow?</p>

<p>Another question, how to change default location for installed Daz assets? I mean the folder containing data, Runtime, etc... Daz just installed it on C drive and i&#39;d like to change it.</p>

<p>I know that i can parent a figure to a part of another figure.<br />
But what about a part of a figure to another part of another figure?<br />
For example, is it possibel to part a figures hand to another figures hand.<br />
So if i move the arm of figure A the hand (and arms etc.) if figure B follows?<br />
Sorry if i made myself unclear....</p>

2070 RTX GPU (8GB video memory)<br />

Ok so the issue I&#39;m having is as the title says, when I try to render an image series in the public build. The very first image of the sequence renders perfectly normal, but all subsequent renders only achieve about 20 percent of the first due to an error. It causes the quality of the following images to severely drop. Back on my old system with 4.10 I never had this issue and it had a lot less power. I know some people had trouble where the GPU would drop out and switch to CPU rendering due to memory overload. I checked the log and that&#39;s indeed what&#39;s happening but it makes no sense because my scene only takes up about 1.7gb of memory... Here&#39;s the log file for more detail:<br />

I&#39;m testing around to see if I can replicate this issue again cause it doesn&#39;t happen in every scene. However I&#39;m wondering is this due to poor optimization? Is the memory usage stacking with every following render? I&#39;ve already gotten a blue screen while this render bug was occuring before. I don&#39;t see any indication of a memory overflow even though it&#39;s stating there is indeed one.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have Poser 9 software from 2012 gathering dust in my desk drawer. This was&nbsp;before migrating to DAZ Studio.</p>

<p>One of the figures I own from back then is called Tyler GND. It was based on their Ryan figure I believe.</p>

<p>I don&#39;t really want to import it to DAZ Studio, but I would like to know what it would compare to in the Genesis line.</p>

<p>Would Tyler GND be a Genesis or Genesis 2 equivalent? Just curious.</p>

<p>I picked up with DAZ Studio last year after a long hiatus, and was blown away by the level of detail in the Genesis 3 and 8 figures.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Attached is the promo image for Tyler and Miki from back in 2012. To me, they look more like Genesis figures, but at the time I thought they were awesome. Times have changed. :)</p>

<p>And you know...C is usually the place with the less free room capacity left. Is there any way to change this to an other drive? Did i miss some instaling options there?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I originally rendered this character test render in Daz 4.10, but when I rendered it again in 4.11 I got the rough, pixelated, edges you see in the one on the left. I was going to ask what was causing this, but then I stumbled onto the problem. When I turn off the Noise Degrain Filtering the render looks fine. I decided to post this anyway, because I don&#39;t think that&#39;s what Noise Degrain Filtering is supposed to do, (perhaps it&#39;s a bug), but if other people are having this issue, at least this is a fix.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I have just purchased the Sugar Skulls bundle and when I try to add color to the roses (it applies as a shader) I double click on the color I want and nothing happens. The roses stay the same. I&#39;ve made sure that the hat (I can change everything else about the hat) is selected, I even tried to select the model and nothing works. I really love this bundle, but I need these roses to change color! I have tried both the roses for his hat and the roses for the girl&#39;s hair all to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>P.S. I&#39;m a newbie so please be kind. I&#39;m sure it&#39;s just me not doing something. LOL</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I&#39;m a new user and really like the idea behind Daz3D.</p>

<p>But whatever I do (rendering, morphs, animation etc.), after a while it crashes without any message. Daz3D is exactly&nbsp;what I&#39;ve been looking for and I won&#39;t give up so fast (but it&#39;s very frustrating..!)&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>I hope that&#39;s not a &quot;normal thing&quot;, so I guess it might be a software problem or something with my hardware*(?). I&#39;ve unchecked &quot;Optix&quot; and tried every (nearly) rendering option so far, but it didn&#39;t realy help.</p>

<p><em>*Intel Core i7-8750H&nbsp;(Intel Core i7), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (Laptop)&nbsp;- 4096 MB with 32 GB Ram and 512 GB SSD.</em></p>

<p><strong>Any ideas or suggestions?</strong></p>

<p>I&#39;ve noticed with some clothing products (in particular long boots) that some authors have implemented a feature that hides body parts as soon as a wearable clothing item is fitted.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been able to do this kind of thing myself.&nbsp; Before I save a wearable preset for some boots, I first hide, say, the feet and toe nodes in the Scene Pane by clicking the little &#39;eye&#39; icons.&nbsp; And then when I save the wearable preset, I go to the &#39;Other&#39; tab and check the visibility property for the feet and toe nodes of the figure.&nbsp; That&#39;s basically how I&#39;ve always done it.</p>

<p>But in some clothing products, the authors have done something even more clever that I honestly don&#39;t understand.&nbsp; For example, there&#39;s a product for Genesis 3 Female called the &quot;Vigilante Outfit&quot;.&nbsp; It includes a pair of boots, which when fitted to the figure, hide a part of each leg.&nbsp; But these parts aren&#39;t exactly the shin, feet, and toe nodes.&nbsp; When I look in the Scene Pane, these nodes should be visible because their little &#39;eye&#39; icons are still showing.&nbsp; As soon as I unfit the boots from the figure, the leg area becomes visible, and when I refit the boots, the leg area again becomes invisible - and this is *without* reloading the .duf file for the boots.</p>

<p>I though maybe the author had created some kind of controller on one of the boot&#39;s property dials, such as the &#39;Fit to&#39; dial, but I can&#39;t find any.&nbsp; How are they doing this??</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, as an intrem solution to an underwhelming computer and not enough spare funds to invest in a super spiffy set-up, I bought and installed a&nbsp;GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. Turns out there are some issues and more people have had them. Sigh. Anyway. When I first installed it, DAZ agreed it had been installed but refused to touch it. I got that sorted, eventually, but it&#39;s not handling heavy renders at all. I upgraded from a 2 GB card to a 4 GB one with the 1050 Ti, but my old card rendered heavy scenes without issue while this one crashes.<br />

I&#39;ve gotten it to crash in two destinct ways.<br />
<br />
With CPU engaged, it either renders out&nbsp;or just....stops rendering (not sure) after a few cycles and the result is attached. The program still runs, so I assume it thinks it&#39;s done, but my render time is maxed out and the render is obviously not completed.<br />
<br />
Without CPU, it gets into its cycle, but before producing the first image in the render screen, DAZ crashes, with this produced in the log:<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have Daz Studio 4.10 and after I start it before it seems to finish loading up the program hangs. If you click in the window it says not responding. I am on Windows 10 latest patch.&nbsp;I have the latest release version of Studio 4.10, my nvidia driver is the latest, I did try it with the older driver first (and it worked with it the other day).. I uninstalled daz studio from the DIM and reinstalled it. There is plenty of room, my Antivirus is turned off.&nbsp; In the AppData/Roaming/DAZ3D/Studio4/log.txt I see the following, Also I have th DBLOG.txt below that.&nbsp;</p>

<p>So my problem is every time I use an older G outfit (or even old M/V) on a newer Genesis figure, this happens. I am using the auto-fit feature on DAZ studio, so I&#39;m not sure why this keeps happening. It&#39;s only with things&nbsp;like dresses where I seem to have it happen.&nbsp;</p>

<p>My question is: what am I doing wrong?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>GoZ, the DAZ3d plugin for sending objects from DS to the professional modelling program ZBrush, has been part of DS for a very long time. So why is it that GoZ&nbsp;still does not work properly?</p>

<p>I&#39;m using DS4.11.0.383 and whenever I send an object or figure from DS to ZB using GoZ, I have to check that it will correctly return any shape changes as a morph. I make no changes to the topology. Frequently, GoZ decides not to return the change in shape back to DS; instead it does nothing. Once that happens, the only way I have found of fixing the problem is to uninstall&nbsp;DS, delete the DS package in DIM and then download it again and reinstall it. This always works, it restores GoZ&#39;s ability to interact properly between DS and ZB. However, this situation often does not last long and GoZ soon fails again requiring DS to be uninstalled and reinstalled again.</p>

<p>This bug has been reported many times by various people, over a long period of time. It seems like something in DS is being corrupted and requires a fresh install. So, why haven&#39;t DAZ3d fixed the problem?</p>

<p>If anyone knows a better fix than the one I&#39;m using, I&#39;d be happy to know.</p>

<p>My stystem FYI; APCI x64 based PC, Win 10, 64 bit, i7-8700K CPU @ 3.7GHz, dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti video cards, 32 GB DDR4 RAM.</p>

<p>This GoZ problem existed in my previous&nbsp;systems as well.</p>

I'm thinking of upgrade of my pc. Usually people here concern about rendering speed but I want to do it because it takes long to prepare a scene.
When you press "render" button it may take up 3 and even 4 minutes to start rendering, but usually about 2. Also some scenes may be overloaded so it takes time to even move an object.

Currently I use i5 7400 4 cores cpu and 16gb ram. The best I can afford at the moment is AMD ryzen7 2700 with 8 cores.

And my question about if AMD is good for our rendering purposes? As I know Radeon GPU useless for rendering with iray. Don't want spend my money and then discover that Daz uses only one single core or anything like that.

And of course if this is good upgrade in general or perhaps I should wait for better prices/parts?]]></description>

<p>I&#39;m running into an issue when working with the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/the-cave-island">Cave Island</a> product: in the viewport, water looks very nice (left), but when rendering (right) it lacks a lot of details.</p>

<p>I didn&#39;t change much in the render settings. I tried turning up renderding quality to 3, max samples allowed to 10000, max rendering time is set to 7200s (though it gets rendererd before that limit is reached), but it didn&#39;t change anything...</p>

<p>Any idea on what I need to change to get the same quality I have in the viewport?</p>

<p>I don&#39;t have the same kind of issue with other products.</p>
