      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I am using Animate2 and Linday&#39;s Four Wheeler Template and new to using animation in Daz.</p>

<p>I want to animate a car pulling off, driving in a straight line for about 300 metres and stopping. The only aniblocks included for driving in a straight line cover 70 metres and that works fine. But does anyone know how I can make the car drive further? I do not want to change the speed of the aniblock, and making it repeat causes the car to stop and start again every 70 metres. I tried cutting out the middle section and repeating just the middle section, but doing so caused the wheels to become seperated from the car.</p>

<p>I&#39;m working on a graphic novel and figured out a major breakthrough with Daz3d and my post work process.&nbsp; I&#39;d like to put the genesis 3 toon generations skin on my original genesis characters because it looks better in the process I&#39;m following.&nbsp; I&#39;m starting again and most of my money and character creation time has been invested in the original genesis figure.&nbsp; If anyone can offer advice I&#39;d be very appreciative.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey all,&nbsp;</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been working with Daz for sometime now with no issues. My desktop is a newer rig (specs below). After purchasing, downloading, and installing quite a bit of content today, I noticed that loading Ryker for Genesis 8 was taking an unusual amount of time; probably 30 or 40 seconds. Applying materials was taking equally as long. At times, the app would be become unresponsive and crash. Additionally, when I decided to work on a different character I&#39;ve developed, I noticed when I attempted to load content, I&#39;m getting messages that the content needed is not installed (human mat for Katarya elf).&nbsp;</p>

<p>I decided to uninstall and reinstall studio; no changes. I checked my windows updates, drivers, and they are all up-to-date. I checked my internet connection, which is stable.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any thoughts or ideas on what the seemingly sudden glitch might be?&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>How well does Daz Studio work with a decent NAS like Synology 5 bay?</p>

<p>I&#39;d like to have a general workstation accessing the NAS, as well as my laptop remotely, and then a computer just for rendering.</p>

<p>Is the NAS in RAID5 going to be slower than say, a 4TB SSD, or faster? I&#39;m thinking of using 5x 6TB 7200rpm drives in the NAS.</p>

<p>Is this a pipedream for Daz, or would this actually do what I want it to do, i.e. speedy access times across 3 or more computers?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I want to change the color of my Aiko 8 character&#39;s eyes to a gold-ish color, which is not found in the texture presets that come with the standalone morph I purchased. I figured that it would be simple enough; just go into the Surfaces &gt; Editor tab, select the corneas, and change a color slider or two. However, I haven&#39;t had any luck so far; the color alteration doesn&#39;t seem to come through on the render at all. Is there any way to do what I want in DS or Hexagon?</p>

<p>If that&#39;s not possible, I&#39;m also very handy with GIMP, so I could export one of the iris texture files, change the color to my liking, and re-import it. I just need to know how to export/import textures from DS so I can color-adjust them.</p>

I&#39;ve seen a <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/130681/favorites-don-t-save">thread&nbsp;on this</a>, but I&#39;ve found no resolution to my favorites resetting whenever I launch a previously saved scene. I fav morphs like Eyes Up-Down, Afraid HD, Simple Smile, and so on...but when I reload a scene all those favs are wiped. They&#39;re still available in the Posing Menu, but they are not saved to my Favorites anymore.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Additional info:</strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>They used to save when I had DAZ 4.10 then they stopped saving. I updated to 4.11 and the issue carried over.</li>
	<li>I don&#39;t recall tinkering with any preferences prior to this issue.</li>
	<li>Favorites don&#39;t save&nbsp;for&nbsp;&#39;Save&#39;,&nbsp;&#39;Save as&#39;, and &#39;Scene Subset&#39; scenes. No matter how I&#39;m saving the scene, they reset.</li>
	<li>I&#39;ve moved from 1 PC to a more powerful PC and the issue persists.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<p>How to place a figure (warrior, iray version)</p>

<p>step&nbsp;one, save before you start</p>

<p>step two, congrats ! that is how it is done.&nbsp; &nbsp;????</p>

<p>Not all are missing but MANY sections are effectively blank</p>

<p>QA needs to review and patch, last thing you want for new users is blank lessons...express lane to other folks software.</p>

When I use HeadSplit Dformer Utility, and then load a head from a character onto the current figure in Morph Loader Pro.<br />
If the &#39;Donor&#39; figure, the one whos head I am loading via Morph Loader Pro, is taller or shorter than my target figure.<br />
The neck will be longer,&nbsp; or the opposite the head will sink into the chest =/<br />
<br />
Why does this happen, and is there a smooth way to just load a head-mesh onto a body, that would adjust to where the current head is positioned and not distort the neck?<br />

<p>I&#39;m exporting a figure from Daz to Blender as an FBX.&nbsp; I know how to set the export rules and i can see the shape keys being added in Blender.&nbsp; However in Daz the list of exportable morphs is much smaller than the morphs the figure actually has listed in its parameters.&nbsp; Its not a special type of morph like a jcm or ctrl and its not hidden.&nbsp; And i&#39;ve tried giving the morph 0 value and 100% value in its slider in parameters, but still nothing.&nbsp; The morph might have a name like<em><strong> 0100 - move thingie this way</strong></em> and it wont show on the morph export list but morph <em><strong>0101 - move thingie that way</strong></em> does show up on the export list.</p>

<p>So this morning I purchased the &#39;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-bristol-hair-for-genesis-8" target="_blank">dForce Bristol Hair by AprilSYH</a>&#39; as it looks awesome, and something my male characters have been screaming out for for ages!</p>

<p>However, upon downloading and installing via DIM, I am presented with an error whenever I attempt to load the hair onto a figure:</p>

<p>I have clickied on &#39;Install selected&#39; multiple times (the error shows three of four times before going away) but the hair&#39;s appearance never changes.&nbsp; I&#39;ve also tried (in vain!) to locate the product that it&#39;s referencing - both in my install tab in DAZ, and on the Marketplace.&nbsp; I&#39;ve even had a look in DIM but nada.</p>

<p>So I&#39;m at the top of my pay grade - It&#39;s beyond me why it&#39;s doing this!&nbsp; Any ideas?</p>

<p>&amp; finally getting around to looking at it. I suspect simple operator error in not understanding something with usage, but perhaps not.</p>

<p>I loaded the default set which has the DA Big Ocean - Sea Plane and the DA Big Ocean - Full Sea Iray Decal parented to it.This is what I&#39;m seeing though, default Camera load in position then pulled back.&nbsp; Obviously not right but the readme doesn&#39;t give much to go by.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; After converting some clothes, how, and as what, do I save the clothing so I can use it again.&nbsp; I want to set the product up in my content library so I don&#39;t have to go searching for the original product, autofit it, go back to find textures and such.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Don&#39;t know what&#39;s happening here. In need of ideas. The G8F models can&#39;t pose without massive distorting of the mesh. It seems like all the bones are off. I tried uninstalling G8F basic essentials and reinstalling. I tried adjusting the bones to shape.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have this message thing sometimes, which says: &quot;duplicate in formulas found in files. Make sure the content is properly installed.&quot;</p>

<p>It usually doesn&#39;t affect anything. Might the reason? dunno, I got brain injury it seems.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any hint?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have an Asus 1050ti cerberus. I have overclocked it. it is stable and runs 3d mark about 15% better than without the OC.</p>

<p>However when I render with the OC it goes straight to cpu.</p>

There is plenty of disk space in the destination, and I was able to install other items, but these two just refuse. Is there a log I can look for to tell my why they failed?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>clearly the developer of this city has done some trix to the preset rendering settings as i cant find whats causing the problem.</p>

<p>renderers starts over after 5K iray iterations and it doesnt matter how high i set min samples and max sample.</p>

<p>they are the same as i usualy have but some hidden settings?&nbsp;causes the render to start over.</p>

<p>and also when the render starts over it only uses the CPU for rendering and you know how effective that one is ;)</p>

<p>any clue why this is happening?</p>

<p>GPU: RTX 2080</p>

<p>GPU mem usage when rendering this city with one G8 female caracter&nbsp;7600MB.</p>

<p>also it doesnt matter how low i set texture compression</p>

<p>4096/2048 or 1024 doesnt change the problem</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&rsquo;ve created a scene in DAZ with a woman in a workout outfit walking in place. I exported the scene in the .MDD format, and imported it into Modo. The figure came in just fine, complete with accurate animation, but the clothes do not follow her. They remain static. They moved along with her in DAZ, but somehow that animation information did not transfer into Modo.</p>

<p>Are there some settings inside DAZ I need to adjust in order to help the .MDD file capture the animation of the clothing?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>About 2 hours ago DAZ Studio took a giant dump and my CMS went nuts.  I lost quite a bit of metadata, which I can handle.  The bad thing is that a product I am working now is not selectable when you click on it in the viewport.  It doesn't even come up when right clicking.  You can, however, select the materials on it with the Material Selection Tool.  You can also select it in the scene tab.</p>

<p>Now I know what you're thinking... is Selectable "on" in the parameters tab?  Yes, it is.  I even tried turning it off and on again, but no selection.  Other items in the scene are selectable in the viewport, but not this.  Nothing in the item is locked, UV's show up, materials, everything works except selectability.  I am tempted to try to edit the .dsf file, but I don't want to mess up my week's worth of work.</p>

<p>Any ideas?</p>]]></description>
