      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am offering $100 via PayPal to anyone who can help me recover my corrupted file.</p>

<p>The situation: so I spent many many hours workng on a project in Windows 10. I was so happy with the way it was coming out. I saved my work regularly. Then I restarted Daz and when I tried to reopen my DUF, I got an error that said &quot;An error occurred while reading your file, see the log for more details.&quot; I opened the log and it said &quot;Unexpected end of file in object.&quot; All my other projects open normally. I tried making a copy of the file and opening it from another directory, but got the same error.</p>

<p>I am devastated because I spent so much work on this file.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Are there any leet people on this forum who could help me recover it - or at least recover some data points (for example, dome orientation, pose settings for my character) so that I could plug them into an older version of the file I have?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I have a strange loading problem:</p>

<p>If I load a G2F the parameters show 0,0,0. If I hit ctrl+d the Y goes to 0.13</p>

<p>If I load a&nbsp; G3F the parameters are 0,0,0. If I hit ctrl+d the Y goes to 0.20 so far so good, the feet a little bit stucking in the floor after loading is not nice but ok.</p>

<p>BUT if I load a G8F, she is <strong>hovering</strong> a lot over the ground, even if the parameters show 0,0,0. If I hit now ctrl+d she goes to -0,73. But optical perfect on the ground. This happens with all G8F figures. The males end on -0.35</p>

<p>What is going on?! I have problemes by importing them into other softwares if I need a 000 location. I don&#39;t like the loading position of G8. I could put my Hand between foot and floor. How can I or DAZ fix it?</p>

<p>Anybody else out there with an idea?</p>

<p>If this is a repost of an earlier thread, I apologize.&nbsp; Neither I nor Uncle Google could find a recent post dealing with quite this same issue - but if there is one, just post the link and I&#39;ll close this thread.&nbsp; (All of the threads I can find deal&nbsp;with non-Daz content that doesn&#39;t show up *at all* in Smart Content;&nbsp;deal&nbsp;with categorizing content in the Library, not Smart Content; or deal&nbsp;with much older versions of the software.)</p>

<p>Okay, here&#39;s the situation:</p>

<p>I have a ton of Daz content, purchased from Daz - mostly V4 stuff -&nbsp;&nbsp;that doesn&#39;t show correctly in Smart Content.&nbsp; My example here is Winter Flower for Victoria 4, which is a skirt and shirt for (obv) V4.</p>

<p>After purchase/install/download:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Product DOES appear in &quot;Smart Content&quot; pane</li>
	<li>Product DOES NOT have items categorized (ie, nothing is categorized as Wardrobe, Materials, etc. - it&#39;s all visible only in the &quot;All Products&quot; category)</li>
	<li>Product DOES NOT have items tagged as compatible with the appropriate figure(s) (ie, the &quot;Filter by Context&quot; option doesn&#39;t&nbsp;populate these items in the SC pane when the correct figure is selected)</li>
</ul>

<p>So, the second bullet item I seem to have fixed - I can right-click on a particular item within the product, select &quot;Categorize...&quot; and correctly place an item in a category - Wardrobe, Material, etc.</p>

<p>Where I&#39;m having trouble is with the compatibility base.&nbsp; I&#39;ve gone through the &quot;Edit metadata...&quot; window to assign the items a compatibility base (see attached screenshot), but the products still don&#39;t show in the SC pane when I have a V4 figure selected and have the &quot;Filter by Context&quot; option selected.</p>

<p>Sooooo..... what am I doing wrong?</p>

<p>If I try to load the dress alone I get an error</p>

<p>Not an error that make any sense to me.</p>

<p>I have tried redownload, but gets same error.</p>

<p>I am curious of the cloud warning, and wondered if DS thinks it is installed as a cloud item, and if that is the case how to solve that.</p>

<p>So I noticed with Michael 8 that if you activate his body morph individually, he still retains his default Genesis 8 male height. It is only when you activate the Micheal 8 character morph in the actor tab that you get the default Micheal 8 height. With Victoria 8 though, even if you activate the body morph only, her height still increases.</p>

<p>Is there any way to retain the default Genesis 8 Female height while having the Victoria 8 body morph? And also vice versa, is there any way to apply the Victoria 8 height to the default Genesis 8 female?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Having an issue with blending custom poses and animate2 blocks, heres whats going on:</p>

<p>I have applied a custom static pose to my G8 fiqure by first applying a default pose from the stock libray&nbsp;and then making some small adjuss to nodes.</p>

<p>I then used the &quot;Create aniBlock From Studio Keyframes&quot; option to apply my custom pose to the animate2 timeline.</p>

<p><strong>Here&#39;s where the issue occures -</strong></p>

<p>Once I hit play on the animate2 timeline, the node (right Shoulder) I adjusted in the defualt pose moves postion.</p>

<p>There is not another aniblock after my pose block so I dont belive its a transition issue. If I do put an animation block after mine the issue is still there.</p>

<p>First Screen shot is the static pose. Second is what happens once I hit play...or when I go back to the start of the timeline after&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Create aniBlock From Studio Keyframes&quot;</p>

<p>I have a question that I&#39;m hoping someone can help me with.&nbsp; I recently&nbsp;purchased a new computer and downloaded DS&nbsp;4.11.&nbsp; I was unable to transfer content from my old machine, as that one crashed, so I began to re-download my previously purchased items into the new one, through DIM.&nbsp; The items downloaded and installed into DS, but they only show up under &quot;my library&quot; instead of in the &quot;contents&quot; pane, as they did in my previous computer.</p>

<p>Also, whenever I log in DS, I get the following &quot;Resource Error&quot; message:</p>

<p><strong>&quot;A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established.&nbsp; Several DAZ Studio features that require a valid PostgreSQL CMS connection, such as context aware content views and loading content installed using the DAZ Connect service, will not be available.&nbsp; Check your network, anti-virus, and firewall settings for conflicts.&quot;</strong></p>

<p>I checked the settings in the computer and I don&#39;t see anything that&nbsp;would be causing the problem, but not being all that computer savvy, I could very well be overlooking&nbsp;something simple.&nbsp; I&#39;m not sure how to proceed from here, so if anyone can offer some advice, I&#39;d greatly appreciate it!</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>In the past, in 3delight, when there was transparent edges, it was sometimes dark behind the edges.&nbsp; To fix that, you would set the background environment to white, and not render it.</p>

<p>I am doing a depth of field in iray, and the edges are dark in the transparent parts, but that trick above does not work.&nbsp; An example is below.&nbsp; I am rendering without a background to PNG, to add a background in postwork.</p>

<p>Is there a way to do this?&nbsp; You can see it is a light background, but there is a dark edge everywhere that is blurred.&nbsp; (the character is a transparent png, and the light blue background is added as a layer behind)</p>

<p>The picture is a compare of the DOF in iray, versus just a postwork blur of the character PNG, against another layer background.</p>

<p>I tried several times to get it to install but it keeps saying Download Failed.</p>

<p>Should I just ignore this? My current version of DAZ Studio 4.11 (4.11.0.383) works just&nbsp;fine.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I recently purchase&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/epic-props-godrays-volumetric-light-for-iray">https://www.daz3d.com/epic-props-godrays-volumetric-light-for-iray</a>&nbsp;and am having trouble getting the same results as shown in the product. The issue is, in the first step you need to select a prop, either &quot;Directional&quot; or &quot;Dispersive&quot;. You then in step 2 select a base style. After doing that there are a few other selection you can make and then do a render to test your results. My problem is that no matter a select in step 2, or 3 or 4, the prop remains solid instead of transparent and never produces the results promised.</p>

<p>Has anyone using this product received the same results? Is there a setting not mentioned in the instructions that I need to apply?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a dForce simulation that looks great on frames 300-600. The problem is, I need the character to move on frames 1-300 along with the dForce simulation.</p>

<p>To shift the characters frames, I just use Keymate. That works. However, I can&#39;t figure out how to move the Dforce clothes simulation to the beginning of the timeline.</p>

<p>What is the best way to do this, other than moving the original character movements to frame 1 and rerunning the simulation (I really like what I have already, so this would be my last resort).</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone :)</p>

<p>I&#39;m wondering if it is possible to reverse the IK chain releation of parent and children?</p>

<p>In particular, for a snake figure, originally the parent is the tail. But I&#39;d like to make the head the parent instead (such that when I use active pose to drag it&#39;s tail for animation, the whole body wont be moving).</p>

<p>This is a rather rare &quot;problem&quot; lol.. if anyone has some idea i&#39;d be very happy to hear! Thanks in advance! :)</p>

first of all, i apologize for my poor english.
I woukd like to know if anyone experiences issue rendering large scene with the last update of DazStudio.
It seems to me DazStudio 4.12 switch to cpu everytime i try to render a scene bigger than 1 gigabite.
I already update the last Nvidia Driver.
The problem is that i did'nt had any issue rendering the same scenes with DazStudio 4.11

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m trying to figure out how to render scenes in the&nbsp;Sun-Sky Only Environment Mode. In the&nbsp;promo images for a product like&nbsp;Andrey Pestryakov&#39;s <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/low-tide">Low Tide</a> set, I see in the background of different camera angles that there is a blue sky with clouds. But when I render this set in Daz Studio, the&nbsp;lighting changes, but I can only see the grey default background, as you can see in the screenshot I&#39;ve attached to this post. There are other products I own, mostly from&nbsp;<span>Andrey Pestryakov, that have a&nbsp;sun-sky render setting preset similar to the one in Low Tide. If Daz Studio on my computer is rendering the&nbsp;</span>Sun-Sky Only Environment Mode&nbsp;properly, then what is the purpose of having a render setting without a background? Am I&nbsp;rendering this properly?&nbsp;It&#39;s difficult to find another render setting from another product that can complement this set. I&#39;ll appreciate anyone&#39;s help.&nbsp;</p>
