      <description><![CDATA[<p>If I change the size or position of a window, the next time I go into DAZ, it will be changed. Is there a way to disable that from happening so that the next time I go in, it is NOT changed?</p>

<p>I have my viewport set to an ideal size (at least for my purposes) for most of the time. Sometimes I would like to modify it based on what I am working on but for my next session, I would like to return to that &quot;ideal&quot; setting but DAZ returns me to the last setting used. Is there a way to keep those settings from being saved?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Rahele for Olympia 7 is taking a long time to render in 3Delight. Usually characters take around twenty minutes to render, however the Rahele 3Delight materials are taking around an hour. Any suggestions on how to make this faster or if a less resource intensive skin is available? Also, and this is an observation with several of the new G3F characters, many 3Delight skins look flat compared to their genesis 2 predecessors. Is there any way to make the 3Delight skins that come with G3F&#39;s pop a little more?</p>

<p>This is a pretty interesting tool, and I wonder how it accesses scene backdrops&nbsp;from the location you choose?&nbsp; Does it rely on Google Maps or Google Earth to retrieve the images?</p>

<p>I wonder if it can locate even small communities in Newfoundland such as, say, Come by Chance or Codroy Valley, and if it can navigate&nbsp;through roads or streets like in Google Street View?</p>

<p>I did learn that the Moon 360 I purchased a long time ago does have the ability to navigate along the surface on the moon.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m using the spot rendering to add features using Photoshop of a pre-rendered image.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I&#39;m using the texture shaded view for the renders.&nbsp; When I turn the camera&#39;s headlamp off, the entire view goes solid black despite the many emmissives in the scene.&nbsp;&nbsp; It makes it very difficult to draw the screen view brackets around only the area I want to render.&nbsp;&nbsp; There&#39;s gotta be a work-around to this?&nbsp; thx</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have a figure that is posed in a scene and it has translation and rotations on the root node.&nbsp; When I take a static prop and move it into the position I want all is good.&nbsp; However if I then parent it to that root node or any joint under it, it moves in the scene to a new location.&nbsp; If I check &quot;parent in place&quot; while parenting, it moves to a new location that is different from the default parent action but still wrong.&nbsp; If I parent the static object to a figure without any translations it stays in position.</p>

<p>Why is parent in place not working how I expect it should? I want to parent objects to objects or figures and have them stay in the same position in world space.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>I currently have to use a Ryzen 3 1200.</p>

<p>I don&#39;t have any problem using only my RTX 2060 for rendering, and the viewport is smooth.</p>

<p>But when I pose a character, it&#39;s a nightmare. It&#39;s very laggy (both in 4.11 and 4.12), and the CPU usage spikes to almost 100% while I do so.<br />
It happens with every character (I use Genesis 8), not just with some of them.</p>

<p>The RAM usage is under 50%, and everything else is alright, so I guess the CPU is the bottleneck.<br />
I don&#39;t have other software opened, and at idle the CPU usage is around 4%. I have this problem only when I pose a character.</p>

<p>Is there any way to mitigate the problem?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I rigged a rope with a few bones and weightmapped it.&nbsp; It works as desired in Daz, however when I sent it to zbrush and made some tweaks and applied it as a morph, the morph causes extreme warping that doesn&#39;t match the morph in zbrush.&nbsp; Is there some step I need to do to bake/finalize&nbsp;the weight mapping or something before I can apply morphs? In the current state the weight mapping is still editable.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been working on a character and my recent renders started getting strange dots on the face that weren&#39;t there before. Through some troubleshooting it seems that the blade that I put in her hand is the source of the issue. When I have it visible then dots will appear on the side of her face that is facing the blade. Hiding the blade removes the dots.</p>

<p>Knowing that the blade is causing the problem I have tried tinkering with the surfaces tab to tone down reflectivity and such. I also searched the forums and tried messing with fireflies on the render and although the dots seem to change position a bit when I edit the firefly settings, they are never eliminated.</p>

<p>For now I am doing two renders where I render without the blade, then with and cut the blade out and paste it over the render without dots. It gets the job done&nbsp;but it is not an ideal solution. Is there something I can do to the blade prop so that it isn&#39;t putting dots on the right side of her body? Note that my render would be bare&nbsp;like this -- I&#39;m not putting in backgrounds or lighting for scenes or anything.</p>

<p>I have imported a jacket as an OBJ.</p>

<p>I want to turn this OBJ into a cloth that conforms and moves along with my Genesis 2 Female model. The Genesis 2 Female model has a full body morph.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When I use the &quot;Transfer Utility&quot; with the default settings, I get a jacket that conforms and moves along with the model.</p>

<p>However, the Transfer Utility fits the jacket to the model&#39;s morph. I don&#39;t like how the Transfer Utility does this, it doesn&#39;t look nice.</p>

<p>In fact, I would simply like to avoid the fitting. The transfer utility should just use what I give it.</p>

<p>So to do that, I un-check the Post Transfer Option &quot;Fit To Source Figure&quot;.</p>

<p>But when I un-check this option, the Transfer Utility doesn&#39;t seem to do anything:</p>

<p>The jacket doesn&#39;t move along with the model when I pose the model.</p>

<p>Instead, it stays perfectly still and just doesn&#39;t do anything.</p>

<p>The jacket completely ignores the model.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>What could I check?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Does anyone else experience that many times the sale items in the store are not what is advertised.&nbsp; For instance, today there is a &quot;Build Your Own Action Movie, special featured and fighting items&quot; and it says there is up to a 72% discount.&nbsp; First I don&#39;t see any items except the usual stuff and I don&#39;t see where they apply to an action movie and second I looked thu this and I don&#39;t see anything discounted to 72%, maybe I have to open every single link to find them and I don&#39;t have the time for that,&nbsp; Then there is the item, &quot;Fast Grab, New Items Added Daily... well there is a 70% discount but new items are not added daily.&nbsp; I like the sales but I check the &quot;Fast Grab&quot; link every day and sometimes it&#39;s the same as yesterday.&nbsp; Yes, I flushed my cache.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<h1><strong>I have noticed several threads concerning this issue for <em>Windoze</em>, but I have not found fixes for <em>OS/X.</em></strong></h1>

<p>My case may be somewhat unique due to my Hardware /Software setup. I am running DAZ Studio 3D in both OS/X and on my Bootcamp drive in Windows 10. My &quot;My DAZ 3D Library&quot; is on my NTFS Bootcamp partition.</p>

<p>I make this writable for the Mac OS using TUXERA and NTFS For Mac (I used to use a 3rd exFAT partition to share the My DAZ 3D Library folder, but that actually caused far worse problems)</p>

<p>I used to run the Windows 10 version of DAZ from both Bootcamp and Parallels 15 but the last couple of DAZ updates have made the rotate and panning navigation impossible...( hope there is a fix soon)</p>

<p><strong><em>...anyways</em></strong> ...the Windoze version does not have any issues finding the .dsf files, only when I run DAZ from OS/X. Same files, same library. I don&#39;t think it is a <em>conventional</em> permissions issue.</p>

<p>While attempting to fix this issue I managed to delete the OS/X database and &quot;lost&quot; all of my DAZ assets (oops). I have reimported the Metadata and that has restored all of my DAZ content.</p>

<p>Nearly all of my 3rd party DAZ format content suffers from this issue now. I assume I will have to reinstall all 3rd party content, but I already tried that with my &quot;problem&quot; content and still have the issue.</p>

<p>I have checked and reset the permissions in Windoze several times, both the entire path and the individual &quot;ghost&quot; .dsf files, from OS/X <em>and</em> from Windoze10, no effect.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Is there a utlity that can produce a rotating scene in DAZ?</p>

<p>By that I mean something similar to ZBrush where the model rotates in 360 and produces an animation.</p>

<p>I looked in the DAZ Shop but I could not find anything similar.</p>

<p>I could probably do this by hand by rendering each scene with a different Y rotation, but that would be really time consuming to do manually.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Content, say from Renerosity or other third party vender installs into My Daz Library and can be found in the in the Daz Library through opening the Content tab. This used to work fine. However in my last two installs, the main product folder shows up, but no content icons are seen, in the main or any of its subfolders. Now if I do a &quot;browse for file location&quot; from the main folder and double click on the on the .duf I want, which is right where it should be, another copy of Daz opens and the item loads to the viewport and I can use the model as usual. This has now happened to two files I installed today, from different vendors and both from makers I have intalled items from before. So... any thoughts, did I click a button I shouldn&#39;t have, hallowen is approaching, I didn&#39;t finish my brocolli? And of course I have now spent a couple hours trying diff. things. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. &nbsp; Pic 1 shows what I am talking about and pic 2 diff product, how it should be.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello!</p>

<p>I&#39;m using keyMate, and I would like to select a bone in the keyMate hierarchy.</p>

<p>I thought I could easily do that by clicking a bone in the Viewport, but the only way I have found so far is to expand the entire keyMate hiearchy until the desired bone is &quot;there&quot; in the hierarchy and then click it in the keyMate hierarchy.</p>

<p>This is extremely time-taking.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Did I miss something, or is selecting a bone of a model in keyMate really only possible by walking through the entire keyMate hierarchy?</p>
