      <description><![CDATA[<p>I apologize if this has been asked and answered before. I can&#39;t seem to find anything on it. It&#39;s difficult to sometimes search out an answer when I&#39;m not sure what my issue is.</p>

<p>But, I can load a scene, render and everything is fine. UNLESS I load a scene in with a skydome. Then, it renders near black. All the time, every skydome. I&#39;ve tried playing with the exposure value but, that doesn&#39;t seem to work well. All I can manage is a very dark, very grainy image. This happens even with a product that includes a scene using a skydome. The cameras that are included produce dark images too. I would think they were calibrated before placing them for sale. I know I must be overlooking something. Something simple I would guess.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Any suggestions or similar issues?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi all, sorry if this has been addressed previously, but I seem to be having an &#39;intermitent&#39; problem. &nbsp;For this situation, I&#39;m using the -&quot;PW Twin Peask Moutain Cove&quot; - Set with it&#39;s default lighting at &#39;Bright&#39; - When I tried a first test render I get these strange black blotches around the figures head (Emery - with Fitness morph) and as you can see her blue eyes become black.</p>

<p>Now, using the same figures and pose. &nbsp;I do another test without the set using an HDRI sky only for lighting (which should be similar to the &#39;Sky&#39; from the set&nbsp;and now there&#39;s none of that odd coloration...</p>

<p>Can anyone help explain what&#39;s going on and how some possible steps to quickly fix it?</p>

<p>I purchased this product because I wanted to create a crystal ball (as shown on the product image page, bottom left). However, there is no smooth sphere in the shapes provided with the product, just&nbsp;a variety of&nbsp;faceted gemstones and a glass goblet.</p>

<p>Is there a simple way to create a completely smooth round sphere in DAZ that I can apply these shaders too, or do I need to find another product that has a crystal ball prop?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I am buying a cheap Ryzen 3 3200g to stick my 980ti in for rendering because I damaged my motherboard on my better intel i7&nbsp;CPU Win7 rendering machine,</p>

<p>it works but I cannot mount a graphics card anymore, will be my modeling and music workstation&nbsp;PC.</p>

<p>Also the cheap Ryzen is Windows 10 which I shall need in future,</p>

<p>Now it comes with a nice Vega inbuilt graphics I was thinking I could use for my monitors and what games I play and save my 980ti for rendering only, less wear on my 5 year old card I am porting over to it.</p>

<p>I know with a monitor on the motherboard enabled in the BIOS DAZ studio and Octane sees both if one plugged into it and most my software still uses it even though not my main monitor but what if I don&#39;t plug any monitors into it (except to update GeForce Experience obviously) will they still detect it?</p>

<p>I really want to dedicate as much VRAM as I can to rendering and not waste any driving my monitors.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have two monitors - 4K and 1440. My main monitor is the 4K and I use the other one for Aux Viewport. When I render any projects (say at 1920x1080), the image seems to scale up on the 4K monitor&#39;s so that it barely fits onscreen (almost like I&#39;m rendering at 4000x3000 or something large). However, if I move the render window to the 1440 monitor while it&#39;s rendering, it looks like the correct size. Luckily when I open the final saved image in Photoshop, it&nbsp;displays correctly in both windows.</p>

<p>Now is this a Windows 10 thing? Or a bug? Or is there a feature I&#39;m missing that would fix this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>smart content only offers to scroll through small subsets of items. I did some checks eg with poses:</p>

<p>In content lib under&nbsp; categories under&nbsp; poses: by function: standing:&nbsp; I have 3014 items listed and you can scroll through them and skip pages.</p>

<p>In smart content there is shown beside the filter the following amounts<br />
for poses: 605+<br />
for poses:by function 1105+<br />
for poses:by function: standing 1200+<br />
(also this numbers are strange because the higher numbers are for more specific subset)</p>

<p>But you can only scroll through a small subset of the mentioned number of items.<br />
Is this an error? Can I adjust something to have all available or do I something wrong?<br />
But I mean not to make the selected subset smaller eg by filtering. I want to have access to the whole result set.</p>

<p>(you can easy check this behavior by choosing a category with a high number of items and use filter a-z and z-a. Their results are not the same items - eg a... is in a-z but not in z-a)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been using Daz for a couple of years now, but I still consider myself a noob. I&#39;d say the same for my Blender experience. I started to dabble in clothing, and can create meshes for armor etc. I understand rigging at a basic level, and what the Transfer Utility does.</p>

<p>I have created a mesh using the &quot;snap&quot; option in Blender so it matches the figure closely, but I then remember that clothing is not always skin-tight. When creating an item, is it necessary to differentiate between parts of the clothing that would fit closely, eg waistline, so Autofit would adjust them as appropriate, and parts of the clothing that would remain &quot;unfitted&quot;, such as pant legs or skirt. If so, how?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Any idea why my iray preview does this intermittently? Scenes are posed in texture shaded, or other non iray preview mode then when switching to iray, the preview mode goes very low res randomly (example1). It is also usually accompnied by the veiwport camera (any camera) going off track when trying to zoom. Clicking in an empty part of the scene, reframing the active camera, then zooming in and out seems to fix the issue (example2), but its a right pain.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Great tool with one major flaw (unless it&#39;s me doing something wrong).</p>

<p>When I use the Scene Tool to hide something I would like only the items that were hidden by that action to reappear again, not items that&nbsp;were intentionally hidden.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Example:&nbsp;If I in a scene have hidden, in the old fashioned way by clicking&nbsp;the eye in the scene tab, items that are unseen in the viewport or unnecessary, to speed up render time, I would like them to stay hidden after I have used the Scene Tool. Now they pop up again and I have to hide them all over again.<br />
<br />
Is it me doing something wrong? Otherwise there is room for product improvement.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>In attempting to solve a problem I was having with AniMate1, I discovered that it was &quot;seeing&quot; duplicate aniblocks&mdash;and that some of those duplicates were in the &quot;My Daz Connect Library&quot; on my Mac. I don&#39;t (knowingly) use Daz Connect, ever; I work exclusively offline. I must have inadvertently used it as a noob&nbsp;when I first installed 4.11, though, so now I have this accursed &quot;My Daz Connect Library&quot; that I don&#39;t know how to get rid of without breaking something.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve read a number of threads on here about Daz Connect, but frankly I was more confused after reading them than I was before reading them.</p>

<p>I attempted to use DIM to at least try to determine which content products had been installed by Connect (as was suggested in one or more of those threads), but following every instruction I could find about that&mdash;using the filters in DIM for &quot;-Connect Installed,&quot; and for &quot;Content&gt;-Connect Installed&quot;&mdash;DIM comes up with zero, zip, nada, nothing, as shown here in the attached screen grab of DIM.</p>

<p>Yet when I go to the&nbsp;&quot;My Daz Connect Library,&quot; it has <strong><em>18 folders inside folders called data/cloud!</em></strong> And those folders have content in them, as shown by the two screen grabs of folders attached.</p>

<p>I just want to get all of that content transferred to my own self-created content directory that I have on an external drive. I don&#39;t want to lose it, but I also&nbsp;don&#39;t want the possibility of duplicate content.</p>

<p>Can anyone give me a cogent explanation of how to resolve this? (Did I mention &quot;cogent&quot;?)</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve been trying to do a render in iray&nbsp;with a geoshell that applies tears (I&#39;ve tried more than one with the same result in both 4.11 and 4.12). When I render my character&#39;s face is turning a smokey grey color and I can&#39;t figure out what&#39;s causing it. I&#39;ve attached a photo showing what is happening the left is how it&#39;s rendering the right is how it should render. (The right image was done by rendering without the shell added then rendering just the geoshell then combining in photoshop.)</p>

<p>Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Just curious here. I noticed the last two figures, Diego and Babina, have&nbsp;<span>Improved Iray Uber Shader listed.</span></p>

<p><span>They certainly look incredible, especially Babina, adding a new level of realism I had not seen until now.</span></p>

<p><span>Does anyone know at what point the&nbsp;Improved Iray Uber Shader were introduced?</span></p>

<p><span>From what I can tell, it looks like&nbsp;G8 figures started using the new shaders around the time of the Darius 8 release.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span>Also, does the EcVh0&nbsp;product put&nbsp;the improved iray uber shaders on&nbsp;any G8 figures, or is this something else entirely?? Or will it at least improve the older G8 figures?</span></p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve got a complicated scene that I&#39;m trying to render but it always ends at 2 hrs. It doesn&#39;t error out it just ends after 2 hrs even though it hasn&#39;t completed. I&#39;ve spot rendered smaller portions that have completed and are noticeably clearer. Is there a render setting that I can change to allow it to go beyond 2 hrs? Thanks!</p>

<p>How do I save the &quot;hidden&quot; property for the polygons in the object from one session to the next.&nbsp; Each time I re-launch DS, the hidden polygons re-appear.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>Im a newbie to the 3d modeling world started it as a hobby going with daz. I want to know if I am doing this right or if there is something wrong. Plus does a computer restart help ? because i noticed that daz is faster after a restart.</p>

<p>Specs are : i7 7820hk, gtx 1080, 32 gb ram latest nvidia driver.</p>

<p>I just rendered a 4k image without any clothes (image is attached) and it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete the render. Is it a normal time for my specs? I feel something is wrong as these are not low specs.</p>
