      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have found a problem when I use DAZ ,it really confuse me ...</p>

<p>When I load some scene with G8F charactar ,or even open a new G8F charactar ,it took so much time ,and finally load it done and nothing is wrong in scene,but with a note everytime</p>

<p>It let me see the log ,and the log is full of the words like below:</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>At least I think that is the correct terminology.</p>

<p>I bought an airplane model from CGTrader and got it to load as an OBJ file into DAZ, it has a UV map but is otherwise just blank gray. I specifically wanted one without any &quot;real-world&quot; airline logos on it as I&#39;d like to use it for a &quot;fictional / made-up airline.&quot; (I think it was originally an FBX format item that was converted; the promo images for it show a blue &amp; white color scheme but I can&#39;t find any textures that came with the OBJ version.)</p>

<p>So in general terms, how would I go about making a &quot;paint job&quot; for the airplane?</p>

<p>Would I first have to use the geometry editor to cut the plane surface into sections so I could use different colors on different parts of the plane?</p>

<p>Any further steps I&#39;d have to do?</p>

<p>This would be my first attempt at making any kind of paint job or texture, so please keep that in mind if have any advice.</p>

<p>I exported the Centaur 8 Male as FBX for Unity. Now i have the problem, that i dont have a Rig in Unity. In Daz3D i can see that there are two rigs on the model, one standard humanoid Rig and one for the Centauer (human and horse part together). I dont understand why ther eis a human rig where the lower part makes no sense. Is there a way to get the Rig to Unity???</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I purchased the &quot;Dial-a-Girl G3F&quot; product SKU 22793 which does not come with any materials, so when opened, all of them have the Base G3F skin, eyes, etc. To provide some useful variety, is there an easy way to apply the materials from another (G3F) figure. I know I can apply them surface by surface, but this can be very time-consuming if you want to do it for all 18 of the Dial-a-Girl figures.</p>

I have a pose and want to precisly move the arm. So if I set this up in the timeline and do an ERC Freeze with the &quot;Keyed&quot; option turned on, I get the result that I want - at the first glace. Cause if I save the property or try to zero the pose - it simply stays on the pose of the first keyframe. I want to save the movement relative to the first pose - like the option &quot;reverse deformations&quot; in the morph loader.</p>

<p>Is there some way to do this with erc freeze?</p>

<p>Alternatively, is there a way to compare two poses and get the difference as a result?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So, i have a model, and it&#39;s initially made for 3ds Max and it&#39;s CAT rigging system, but vendor also provided OBJ version which i can import into DAZ. So when importing, i notice that skeleton parts are there, for body movement and facial (those small cubes) mimics. So, is there a way i can use that skeleton for DAZ rigging? I never rigged anything yet, so it&#39;s serious question. But i suppose it would be less difficult using those bones instead of, let&#39;s say, if model didnt have any. Also, i don&#39;t have max (last time i used it at university on lessons), so idk if there are converters or not of rigging.</p>

<p>Picked up a new laptop (Dell G5 gaming, 16GB Ram, GTX 1060/6Gb) over the weekend. Downloaded/installed DS 4.11 (was running 4.10 previously) and&nbsp;the current driver from NIVIDIA, and transferred the content library from my old laptop. Fired up 4.11 and took it for a spin. Everything&nbsp;worked as expected&nbsp;until I&nbsp;went to render.</p>

<p>Blank render.</p>

<p>Tried again ... blank render.</p>

<p>Quit DS,&nbsp;restarted, loaded scene, hit &quot;render,&quot; ... blank render.</p>

<p>Deleted scene, loaded another scene, hit &quot;render,&quot; ... blank render.</p>

<p>Double-checked that DS is set to render on GPU only.</p>

<p>Tried again ... blank render.</p>

<p>Hmm ... what happens if I switch to OpenGL ... BOOM! scene rendered.</p>

<p>Switch&nbsp;back to Iray, hit &quot;render,&quot; ... Hey! Presto! Scene rendered!</p>

<p>Load another scene,&nbsp;hit &quot;render,&quot; ... blank.&nbsp;Switch to OpenGL, hit &quot;render,&quot;&nbsp;... scene rendered. Back to iray, hit &quot;render,&quot;&nbsp;... scene rendered.</p>

<p>Tried dozens of different scenes over the past couple of days, some loaded from my library, some created from scratch. Doesn&#39;t matter if it&#39;s a complex scene or a single primitive: it&#39;s&nbsp;always the same thing&mdash;iRay spits out blank renders&nbsp;until I render in OpenGL.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Anyone else run into&nbsp;this behavior? Any ideas what&#39;s going on, and how to fix it?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This is a really odd one, and not sure what the actual issue is.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve tried multiple times now, that the renders that Daz render once you click &quot;Render&quot; don&#39;t produce the same result as your preview in the Aux Viewport when it&#39;s set to Nvidia Iray.</p>

<p>An example would be, that the preview shows that make-up/eyes are correctly applied, but then when you click &quot;Render&quot;, the whites of the eyes might turn red, because the eye color or MATs were ultimately incorrectly applied.</p>

<p>I would automatically assume of course, that this had something to do with the Render settings or lighting, though, fiddling around with the settings, I still get the same results.</p>

<p>Any ideas what might be causing this?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Every time I try to render something direct to file in Daz Studio 3, the rendering lasts about 2 seconds and then spits out a mostly blank picture with maybe 2 or 3 pixels actually rendered.       <description><![CDATA[<p>So I was trying to find a way to make some lettering and lines and whatnot to appear on the bodies of my characters. First I tried the IRAY Decals, which did cause the imagery to appear on their bddies. But if you move the various parts of their bodies (bones, maybe) then their body parts move outside of the Decal node&#39;s cube and then the projection either moves or disappears altogether from the part of the body that moved.</p>

<p>Next I tried creating a Geoshell. And that did make it so my imagery appeard on the characters&#39; bodies, and even moved with their body parts. But the geoshells have separate textures for various parts of the body. So it became impossible to put the image on a place that spanned two of the textures. And as my image software deals with flat images and the textures are wrapped around a female body, there was distortion.</p>

<p>The only other thing I could imagine is to make lots of Decal nodes so there is one for each part of the body that moves. And regardless of whether I use Decal Nodes or Geometry Shells, I&#39;m going to have to make a lot of small textures instead of one big one. It&#39;s a lot of work for something that used to be simple with DecalMaster.</p>

<p>What I&#39;d really like is something like DecalMaster that lets me load a figure and an image, and then lets me drag that image to any part of the figure and generates the necessary textures for me regardless of where the seams are. But DecalMaster is old, and doesn&#39;t seem to be updated to be usable with the current technology. I figured there had to be a GeoShell editor since people make products based on GeoShells.</p>

<p>I&#39;m probably willing to spend some money for a product that solves the problem, as I did with DecalMaster long ago. But, as this is a hobby for me, I probably wouldn&#39;t spend hundreds of dollars. Is there any solution out there for me?</p>

      <title>Morph Loader Pro - Doesnt Morph just Shrinks and Grows</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi folks, I&#39;m a relatively new user and I have been following some tutorials about transferring Morphs between Gen and Gen 8<br />
<br />
I manage to get the Dial to show etc, but every Tutorial I follow whenever I get to the part of testing the Morph Dial All that happens is that the figure Shrionks or Grows, no actual change to the shape only to its size.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I have tried to find a solution to this problem to no avail.<br />
<br />
Could someone please put me pout of my misery I&#39;m sure there is something silly I&#39;m missing that is causing this.&nbsp;</p>

      <title>Daz 4.11 won't respond but 4.12 beta works</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I originally installed the Daz 4.11 beta a few months back because the official release of Daz 4.10 didn&#39;t support rendering with RTX cards. Things were were generally fine, and then the official 4.11 release came out. I installed both the new 4.11 release and updated to the new 4.12 beta. Now I would rather use the official release and not even mess around with the beta, but the new 4.11 release does not work. When I start it everything loads except for the veiwport window, and if I click anything it stops responding.</p>

<p>The weird thing is that the 4.12 beta still works fine, but I would prefer to not worry about dealing with its buggy issues. My Nvidia drivers are up to date and I&#39;ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling both versions of Daz.</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated.</p>

      <title>Setting up brand new PC but... Download Failed!</title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Aghhh gaaaaadddd!</p>

<p>Spent too much time on this so time to ask experts. Using DIM (Windows 10 Pro), my downloads are getting to anywhere between 10-90% and failing. Repeated start queues and they eventually download. This is proving to be a royal pain...</p>

<p>So I&#39;ve turned off firewall completely, turned off for just DS and DIM, changed location for install files (from C to D drive - both fast SSD), and to date nothing, still failing.</p>

<p>Is there something obvious I am missing here? DS 4.11 seems to be working really well, rendering superfast (RTX 2080), but for the life of me downloading our existing catalogue of files is a nightmare.</p>

<p>Any help would be hugely appreciated, and yes I have seen this asked before.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m seeing PostgreSQL CMS (Win 64-bit) show up in my DIM. I have not been having any issues with finding or using content. I&#39;m currently using Studio 4.11.0.383 and 4.12 Beta 4.12.0.47. I&#39;m about to install the latest 4.12 Beta, but should I also update the PostgreSQL?</p>
